True. Hibs are totally skint. Loans are the only option because I wouldn't sell them for any less than at least 3million for RM and 1.5 million for G. D. if they want them on loan, they should have to pay 75% wages. let hibs suffer and remember when they all tried to destroy us. My memory is long and forgiveness doesn't come easy.

Say we get 15m for Morelos and if our next most valuable player Barisic went for 15m and we spend another combined 7/ 8m on a new first choice left back and another midfielder like Zungu or Ljubicic. Would fans be happy with that? Let's not quibble about Morelos and Barisic value. If we get 30m for the pair and bring in Hagi, Bassey, Mclaughlin, Roofe, Itten, Balogun plus a midfielder and left back for under 20m. Are we happy with this?

For the record I don't want Barasic to go. i'm just considering big picture and I've got splinters in my arse from sitting on the fence.

We can’t sell our best 2 players in the same season and still expect to win anything, I think the only reason we’re contemplating selling Morelos is because of his attitude, the only way we should sell Barisic is if someone offers crazy money and by that I mean £30m that sounds crazy I know but I think he’s a better left back than tierney and he went for 25m I don’t care about the C.V. top dollar no exceptions or he stays and gets even more assists than last year.

Guys, why is it that every day we have certain people looking at scenarios where Tavernier, Barisic, and Morelos could be sold, and who would replace them. SG and RW have brought in strong recruits to the squad, why don't we just stop speculating and leave the team to these guys, believe it or not, they know more than any of us. Bassey, as far as I am aware is two footed, and could slot in to either full back position, I think he will do a job for us this season. Clubs will have to meet our valuation of players or they won't be going anywhere, McCrorie, Middleton, Docherty, and possibly Murphy appear to not be in SG's plans, and this should be moved on to free up wages, and also for their own career prospects, just an opinion guys.

I don't see too many similarities to either the wizardly Mols or the predatorial Jelavic, he is physically different, often makes deeper runs, looks more of a target man and I really look forward to what he does bring to us. Like the previous two mentioned, I hope he has goals galore to contribute to our future success and also like the other two, I hope he can come in as a relative unknown and leave as a legend.

His finishing ability, the way he finds space in the box, his link up play, jelavic with a good few of his goals was a one touch finisher, i've seen the same with some of itten's goals, he's physical and can hold the ball up like jelavic. that's my reasons the covenanter.

That is why Morelos (when in his game) is so important, because he creates a lot of his own chances.

I agree daz, itten could easily end up being the best of the two. What i can definitely say is itten is the better/ more natural goalscorer of the two, although roofe is a quality all round forward. Delighted we signed both though 👍.

Hagi and Kent will both have to up their assists and goals this season, more competition for places now, Roofe is flexible and could easily take a slot off one of them if they drop standards, Aribo is also looking better already and could compete for a 10 slot if he keeps scoring.

Silos I wouldn’t expect Itten to play the Morelos role, I’d expect him to be a part of a 2 up front with wide players such as Kent or even a Jamie Murphy firing balls in, as well as overlapping Tav and Barasic.
He gives us a different dynamic but also watch his play, he can link up well he’s not just a target man.
I suspect Roofe could play along the from 3 with Morelos but Itten potentially more the plan B. Just my opinion.

I ordered 1 large and 1 extra large and recieved 2 large and 2 extra large. I have tried to contact Castore to return 2 of them as they must belong to someone else but trying to get hold of them seems Mission Impossible.

Great news on the new signings last night and two of them aswell. Pair of them look pretty decent as I watched them on youtube. definitely dodged a bullet with Kamberi knocking back the contract. We could not guarentee him a starting place every week that's why he knocked us back but we got someone who I think is better. Morelas is obviously gone now as we need to be able to run the club. I just hope he can maybe start putting in a decent performance with a few goals to confirm he was not a one hit wonder to attract other clubs.
I am a but worried we maybe held over a barrell now with the price we sell at due to the fact clubs down south will know we need to sell and and we need the money to operate.
The two lads that come in hope they can hit the ground running.
Will be interesting to see who starts on Thursday.

I would have liked Olsen mate but I think the fact Roofe has came in and itten it could mean both start with Roofe playing in behind or on the right in place of Olsen signing. I expect a midfielder signed and then maybe a loan etc if anyone that will improve the side is available.

Does anyone else think we won’t sell Morelos in this window?

I actually don’t think these guys have been brought in to replace Morelos, but to supplement him.

Roofe is not going to play 60 games per year due to his history with injuries and Itten for me seems like another option like Kamberi.

I think he will keep Morelos and possibly play 2 up top in some games.

Time will tell!

I think he’s gone, on current form Morelos will not be in the side with those two brought in, his value is on the way down and will only go further down as long as it continues like it is. Love the guy but his time is up as a rangers player and it’s better that way for him and us. Fresh challenge for us both.

Zikos, cedric itten is miles more prolific a goalscorer than flo kamberi mate, streets in front of him. I'm a massive fan of morelos but he wants to leave and there's no doubt in my mind now he will leave if rangers valuation is met. Gerrard will play 1 striker through the middle flanked by our 2 attacking no.10's. I don't think gerrard will waver from his preferred system.

I agree with your comments on itten and Roofe but think Morelos is on his way out. I am not sharing the same optimism as others on here, because although Roofe is an excellent player he is injury prone and question is, will he stay on the park. Itten I will reserve judgement on have not seen enough of him to decide. Looking at this another way, we have lost a £17m striker and replaced him with a £3m striker one of which is injury prone, but fingers crossed.

If we brought in one striker then you would expect alfredo to stay but Roofe and Itten on the same day, Really think thursday will be alfredos last game. wouldn't be suprised if the deals done, and they have asked for the transfer to go through after tomorrows game.

SGL, from what I’ve seen he doesn’t look like anything special, no where near Morelos’s level and certainly not a first 11 player.

With that in mind, if Morelos leaves then it would leave us only Roofe as our first pick striker and like I said he isn’t playing 60 games per year.

Just a thought, but I don’t think he will be sold in this window and if he is then I think we will buy another striker.

I think Itten has been brought in as plan B it to play 2 up top and if that’s the case then again we need more strikers.

I'm really not getting where the feeling that Roofe is injury prone is coming from . He did pick up an injury last season, which along with C.V. restricted his appearances, but looking at his record over the previous 5 seasons, he is averaging almost 40 games a season, not something an injury prone striker could manage.

SGL he’s far more prolific than Kamberi? Their records are pretty much identical over the last 5 yrs so how can he be far more prolific? From the very little to nothing I and we know about him he looks like he can be improved and coached into a better footballer but to say he is far more prolific is wrong. “Currently” he’s not and stats back that. He did have a better year last season 100%.

Just going by the last 2 years ride has had serious injuries which has limited his game time.

People saying Slfredo will be leaving because we have brought in 2 strikers but we have already let Kamberi leave all be it a loan deal.

So that’s 2 out 2 in - I fail to see how we have strengthened unless Morelos stays. Fingers crossed he stays.

That's some good business today. People are saying it proves we have money but I'd suggest the realist would agree, it's most likely we are spending the money from the pending transfer of Alfie. I'll be sad to see him go but in the interests of both parties it might be for the best. It'll also free up the cash to get that 10 million bid for Dykes tabled. I'm also hearing that young fart has been linked with a return from Wigan, I rated him as a player, but sadly he didn't show a whole lot of respect for us. Gerrard wanted him to stay, but he wanted to showcase his skills from Wigans bench (I'm aware he was then loaned out in case anyone picks me up on it) .
