Don’t shoot the messenger but I’ve just been told that sir Walter has sadly passed away and will be announced by family tomorrow. If this is indeed true then it’s a very sad day and pray for his family. Forever a Rangers legend.

1.) 13 Mar 2021 16:08:52
Unfortunately heard the same from a trusted source.
A sad day indeed.

2.) 13 Mar 2021 16:13:51
Got told the same so so sad.

3.) 13 Mar 2021 22:48:59
If this is the truth God Bless him then can I be the first to propose that we name 1 off the Stands, Enclosures after him.
A true Rangers Legend.

23 Nov 2020 20:36:53
It’s being reported that rangers are ready to offer kent a bumper new contract worth 30k a week. Not sure how much truth there is in this as it’s from the ever reliable football insider. It is paramount that we tie down our best players but whether he wants to or not is another story. Hopefully a crack at the champions league may sway him.

Broxi Bear

1.) 23 Nov 2020 21:10:02
Hope so it’ll keep him happy and push up transfer fee at worst. He’s worth it in my opinion anyway and will make us a lot of money if he does decide to leave further down the line.

2.) 23 Nov 2020 22:11:38
Think Kent's contracted for another 2 seasons anyhow so I'd imagine it's a no brainer. sign new improved contract knowing he won't see it out anyhow.

3.) 23 Nov 2020 22:19:09
We need to give him an improved contract so we can change the release clause from £20m to £30m so we don’t get stung if he has a great season and becomes a player who interests other clubs with money to burn.

4.) 24 Nov 2020 03:22:13
Don’t see the point in giving him a new contract he has 2 and a half years left on his deal a doubt we will get much more than 20 million for him anyway and with C.V. I think we should watch how much wages are going out the door let’s face it we all know if we win the league then players like Kent Alfredo ect will be away in the summer we need to start balancing the books.

5.) 24 Nov 2020 07:51:01
Il leave these decisions for the people who know best.

6.) 24 Nov 2020 13:04:07
We should be doing all we can to tie down Kent and Kamara👍.

7.) 24 Nov 2020 14:36:53
Agreed Coldo.

8.) 24 Nov 2020 17:12:31
Kent barisic jack etc will sign new deals i think if stevie g gets a new 1

Said it once an will say it again gerrard never signed kent etc on 4 yr deals for nothing an uf he signs a new deal kent etc will follow suit.

9.) 25 Nov 2020 10:40:04
Steven gerrard won't sign a new deal unless klopp stays at liverpool. remember his and klopp contracts both run out on the same day.

10.) 25 Nov 2020 15:34:15
Totally with you coldo 👍We must get both kent and kamara on new longterm contracts, with big transfer fee break clauses in them 👌So if some club is hellbent on signing any of them, they'll have to pay top dollar for them along with us hopefully getting a 15%-20% sell on clause inserted into any deal 👌.

11.) 25 Nov 2020 17:05:56
So much depends on the outcome of this season, financially and managerial wise. If we don’t win the league I believe SG will go. Champions league is a massive carrot for current squad and incomings.

12.) 25 Nov 2020 20:23:40
If god forbid and we don't win the league, which may i add i don't think will happen, i still think steven gerrard will remain as rangers manager as he's got us so very close now to becoming the no.1 club in scotland again. Also he has his squad playing a certain way in which they've all bought into steven gerrard's management style and to change manager i truly think would knock us back a few years again,
where ATM we're very close to being at the pinnacle of scottish football again 👌To continue this chopping and changing manager and ripping it up and starting again won't work and i for one would want gerrard to remain, no matter what, for the reasons i've stated and i honestly 200% think the board would also keep him as our manager 👍.

13.) 26 Nov 2020 15:53:51
No need, will probably head out the door at the end of this season anyway. Winning the title is the most important thing. Players can leave on a high with us ready to rebuild.

14.) 26 Nov 2020 16:35:12
Hypothetically speaking then BlueWouldDo mate and every bear on here in general, if gerrard were to leave rangers as a winner or a loser (hopefully not), at the end of this season, who do you reckon could/ should replace gerrard as the next manager? When gerrard came to rangers he wanted/ put in place a system he wanted to play all through our youth teams, right to the first team, which of course is the case now. that's why IMHO, i wouldn't be surprised in the least, if our next manager/ head coach to replace gerrard is appointed from within 🤔
As most of us already have read and know ross wilson and steven gerrard both rate current rangers B team head coach kevin thomson very highly and have now got him working closely with them! Our now former reserve manager peter lovenkrands is also very highly thought of within the corridors of ibrox/ the RTC. Of course they would have to show they were good enough but by all accounts both were very highly rated by the powers within 👍I'm stating here and now i'm not advocating that any of these guys will definitely follow gerrard as our next manager, but it wouldn't surprise me in the least and if any of the two got the job, i would absolutely trust the powers at ibrox that think they're good enough in the first place 👌I also think personally myself, that gio van bronckhorst will be very prominent in our hierarchy's thinking and rightly so! This should be a cracking debate amongst us all here and with all our respective different opinions, should be terrific reading and very interesting indeed 👍 Its not to decry one another's opinion,
its to learn/ share all our different thoughts fellow bears! Looking forward to all your different posts on this very important subject.

15.) 26 Nov 2020 17:46:36
Not a chance we would gamble on Thomson or lovenkrands. I know we did with gerrard, but gerrards standing and name alone was enough to bring players in who eould in all likelihood never have signed without his influence. I think we would perhaps push the boat out again, for a progressive coach with similar philosophies. I agree we wouldn't want to change the whole system.

16.) 26 Nov 2020 19:55:41
Was referring to the players more than the manager leaving, wouldn't rule anything out though.

17.) 27 Nov 2020 17:23:24
S.g.l. micheal beal, will be next. Manager, mate,

18.) 27 Nov 2020 18:15:04
Michael Beale is a superb coach i grant you charlie chang. I actually months ago on here now, posted about the possibility of beale following Gerrard, as our next manager/ head coach 🤔. Beale may however, follow gerrard to work with him in his next managerial job mate. That usually happens you find 🤔.

19.) 27 Nov 2020 21:25:35
If we win the league this season-Gerrard won't be going anywhere, he will fully want the test of champions league qualifiers and if we make it (group stage) . If he is to get the pool job then he needs the biggest test. I for sure love the guy and hope he gets the chance.

Herald and times reporting that we are competing with a number of English clubs for the signature of Israeli international Dan Glazer.

1.) 04 Sep 2020 11:07:04
I read somewhere the club have rubbishd the rumour broxi bear. Another defensive mid which I don't feel we need. Someone to unlock a 10 man defence and a right winger possibly a striker aswell and I think our business is done.

2.) 04 Sep 2020 15:53:56
Smashing player, pane in the arse for defenders, , if we don’t see him through the week, we’ll see him through the windae,

Some people will see straight through this nonsense.

3.) 04 Sep 2020 19:17:53
Tomthumb 🤣 has to read that twice to understand you and that’s without a vino.

4.) 04 Sep 2020 20:17:51
Enjoy the vino broxy I, I’m hear all week,

5.) 05 Sep 2020 18:12:15
That's really terrible tomthumb.

6.) 06 Sep 2020 17:43:21
Only a bit of crack seeker,

03 Sep 2020 13:52:40
According to Czech outlet iSport. cz rangers are interested in making a loan offer for Ianis Hagi’s former Genk team mate Patrik Hrosovsky. 28 year old Slovakian international midfielder. Could be a potential loan to buy offer similar to the one with Hagi.

Broxi Bear

1.) 03 Sep 2020 14:55:56
Seen this myself - don’t know anything about this player
Anyone know if he’s any good?

Hoping if we are going for one or two more players hoping Brett in sooner than later to get up to speed with rest of team.

2.) 03 Sep 2020 14:56:56
Looks a terrific rounded midfielder. I remember him scoring vs madrid a couple of years ago for Vitoria.

3.) 03 Sep 2020 15:11:40
Never seen or heard of him but hopefully the all round box to box mid were craving if true. The stigno who is this Brett that you speak of? Have we bid for a player that I’ve missed?

4.) 03 Sep 2020 15:13:26
Hope he's no as bad as Hagi.

5.) 03 Sep 2020 15:22:55
I agree, hagi isn’t cut out for Scottish football imo.

6.) 03 Sep 2020 15:32:55
Hagi will come good soon once he gets used to getting kicked all over the pitch. Hopefully soon.

7.) 03 Sep 2020 17:33:14
Hagi isn’t consistent enough and never will be one good game 10 bad wouldn’t say he isn’t suited to Scottish football because he has had this problem at every club he has been at.

I also have never said once I wanted rid of barasic as i could always tell he would come good.

8.) 03 Sep 2020 18:07:25
Guys, let's remember the same was being said about Barisic and look at him now. give players a chance to settle.

9.) 03 Sep 2020 20:32:25
Hrosovsky is a defensive minded midfielder- surely we don’t need another one of those? He’s is quality tho! Hagi has had a few inconsistent games, boy is a big game player surely folks on here can’t deny his talent? The same people would be raging after his form last year if we didn’t sign him! Give him time, he’ll prove his qualities.

11 Nov 2019 00:58:52
According to rangers news we had a scout at the recent Anderlecht game where we were apparently scouting young right winger Francis Amuzu. Unfortunately he didn’t feature during the game but It is said that Ross Wilson is an admirer of the 20 year old and was linked with a move to Southampton in the summer. Never heard of the guy before but article states that he is on the radar of a host of premier league and Bundesliga teams.

Broxi Bear

1.) 13 Nov 2019 20:10:20
Which is why Rangers don’t want to sell in January. The value will rocket in summer providing Alf stays injury free and keeps his head.

Shed a wee tear there watching the players and gaffer celebrate. It’s been a long time coming but certainly worth the wait. Roll on next season. Absolutely buzzing.

Broxi Bear

1.) 15 May 2021 16:55:24
I was the same BB. 64 years old and standing with tears in my eyes. So proud of everybody connected with Rangers. We are finally back where we belong. 38 league games unbeaten and only 13 goals conceded (a measly 4 at home) . It has been a superb season. Roll on 56! 👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.

2.) 15 May 2021 19:15:59
Does anyone see much off McAllister after medals presented, just had a message he is heading south.
Also Defoe to step up, From the usual soursce, I find this very hard to believe.

05 May 2021 09:15:49
Guys after the game at the weekend it got me thinking, if we could hold on to all of our sellable assets in the summer and could only bring in one player, for which position would you guys like to see us strengthen? Can be for a first team position or for back up. Purely hypothetical but would be interesting to hear your thoughts.

Broxi Bear

1.) 05 May 2021 09:24:06
Centre Mid for me Broxi. Purely for succession planning for Steven Davis and Scott Arfield who are pushing on in years and potentially Ryan Jack who seems to be continually suffering injuries. I think we're pretty well off with all other positions especially with the free transfer signings we've made.

Ofoborh or maybe Kelly could be good enough but I've not seen enough of either to make a proper judgement.

2.) 05 May 2021 09:34:51
A TM type ST, hopefully see more of the 4312 with two 9's. I think the jelavic type would compliment that set up. 👍.

3.) 05 May 2021 09:45:38
I’m torn between a backup for Kent or a first choice for the right of attack as no body has really nailed down that position.

4.) 05 May 2021 11:19:38
I think all points are good re cover etc. I think sakala can cover front three
Kelly ofobhor will add valued cover.
So for me a top top midfield player to go into team immediately. Veerman has good rep, and would potentially make us big money. I also want lundstrum there.

5.) 05 May 2021 11:27:58
A long term replacement for Davis.

6.) 05 May 2021 12:00:16
Depending how we set up. if it's the 433 then it's a right forward. if it's the 4312 then it's a tough tackling midfielder I think.

7.) 05 May 2021 13:33:38
i think players offering fluidity of formation along with pace is the future with maybe adding that creative midfield quality man going forward everyone is inexpensively striving for.

8.) 05 May 2021 13:35:46
I still find it incredible that jell never made more of an impact down south or abroad coldo, I remember talking to Jordan McMillan and him telling me the players at Rangers we’re in awe of him in training

How the devil are you old chap, ?

{Ed001's Note - didn't Jelavic get a bad injury? I seem to remember him being out with something like an ACL.}

9.) 05 May 2021 14:05:34
I'm very well Tom old chap, can't wipe the smile off my face after the game and Gerrard's post match press conference on Sunday. I work with tims so gloating is all the more better knowing that we took 4 goals off them. 👍.

10.) 05 May 2021 14:49:46
Yes Ed, he did have an injury, but maybe before that, he was a prodigious talent, had almost everything imo,

Just thought he would have been a big star in epl

Also admire big Duncs obviously deep rooted love of Everton, surprises me when they took the cash for him that Newcastle got him

It’s a fickle place the English top flight,

{Ed001's Note - I mean I think that's why he never made his mark, due to the injury. As I remember it, though it was a while ago so I could be wrong, he was just beginning to grow into the league when hit by the injury.}

11.) 05 May 2021 14:51:47
It’s great coldo, I had a polish driver I’ve known for years but he’s a Tim, I haven’t stopped reminding him of the most successful club in the world, he didn’t know anything about that.

12.) 05 May 2021 15:09:06
The tims at my work said they didn't expect us to play two up top Tom and they think that caught them out. Couldn't disagree with them to be honest. They also said that us being able to have defoe on the bench and they had griffiths was a reality check for how far behind us they really are. Again I couldn't disagree with them old chap👍.

13.) 05 May 2021 15:41:45
They did the same the season before coldo and destroyed us, in the league chase

Always found it strange that system is hardly used nowadays but it’s lethal in the right circs

Thank you Ed for your imput.

{Ed001's Note - welcome.} Become a Patron!

14.) 05 May 2021 16:17:20
I know Tom, it is strange. I have always said about two up top. At least now we know we have another gameplan up our sleeve old chap👍.

02 May 2021 20:19:04
Great team performance today and some excellent individual performances to boot. I thought Davis, Aribo, Roofe and Morelos all played well, Kamara was solid as ever, McGregor never really had a save to make other than the long range effort that he tipped on to the bar and a fluffed cross attempt from kenny, Goldson and Simpson didn’t have much to do other than win their aerial duels, Tav and Barisic’s deliveries today were inch perfect and then there’s Ryan Kent. We all know he’s the type off player that has us on the edge of our seat but today he was on a different level and was simply sublime. We must do everything in our power to convince him to sign a new contract and ward off any interest south of the border because on today’s form we can’t afford to lose him.

Broxi Bear

1.) 02 May 2021 20:50:48
Totally agree Broxi, great post!

2.) 02 May 2021 21:17:14
Totally agree good solid performance today.
Our players behaved in the tradition of our great club
Over the last few years people like scott brown and griffiths have behaved like the trash they are, no class
We could've rub there noses in it today and being honest when they went down to 10 men I wanted us to destroy them
Now we are on top we must strengthen don't rest on this.
Two games for a true invincible season
Two teams livingston and aberdeen with rangers haters in there teams like some of the St johnstone players last week desperate to beat rangers like every team in the leauge
Makes our achievements even more special this season
9 years of hurt ends with an invincible season perfect end.

3.) 03 May 2021 06:13:54
Watty, your post was excellent and the Thumb didn’t seem up to tying a scarf round our post yesterday! Brilliant performance by the Gers and a lovely send off for Broony and the rest of their contract rebels✌️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.

4.) 03 May 2021 22:32:42
Totally agree yately01
Brown ran out of legs and got shown up by better players griffiths has been finished for ages
Brown especially got of very lightly on Sunday he should go to his care home in aberdeen and count the real medals he has won
What we do from here is so important now
Learn from mistakes of the past
build on the foundations we have laid
Alan mcgregor and Steven davis must be kept at the club to help build on what has been achieved
To every player who has wore the shirt this season I can't thank you enough and to our magnificent support words can't say how amazing you all are your loyalty and never say die attitude is second to NONE
Our magnificent supporters at ibrox that day against st mirran before and after the game will live with me till the day I die just magnificent.

I think Wilson is the better player but no one is right or wrong as were all just sharing our opinions. Would absolutely love for us to sign him but think he would be out with our price range. Think this is just the media using the fact that he will want a permanent move in the summer rather than another loan move and the gaffers links to Liverpool as a way to make a story and get more clicks.

I’m going to give you the benefit of doubt bears den. Can you explain to me why when Celtics players were winning the league they were worth 20-30 million but now Rangers have won the league our players are going to be sold on the cheap? As for the “phantom” 16 million bid for Morelos I’d expect you as a rangers fan to know that Lille president gerard lopes confirmed that a 16 million pound bid had been made.

Welcome Hendo. I also like the look of Clarke Harris but feel he might be out with our price range. Would love for him to come in and learn from Defoe for a year before Jermain hangs up his boots, with Itten going out on loan to an spl or English championship team. Another player that would really get me excited would be Harry Wilson but Liverpool are looking for 15 million so I’m living in dream world if I think we can get him. The thought of both him and kent cutting in from the wide positions really gets my juices flowing though 😂.
