The first goal is Always crucial in these games . So how many times have we conceded fist because of a mistake by tav or him getting roasted by maeda. I watched on tv and they brought up the stats . They target us down our right side. don't get me wrong goldsons time is up too . We could possibly be looking at a full new defence for next season .

we desperately needed an entire backline 2 years ago, and beale should have searched high and low to replace goldson in particular but he spent all the cash on what he thought were strikers .

I'm a Tav fan, and have backed him on many occasion, but there's no defending the indefensible.
Honestly, I'd drop him for the game at the midden and put Sterling in there. The guy's head goes in this game, and the time it takes for him to get it back again, we're getting beat.
From his first league game gainst them where he got absolutely mullered by Tierney all the way through to yesterday, it's a common theme (55 season with no fans in stadium being the exception) .

He's never a right back, yes he scores goals but defensively a liability more and more, agree with RTR play Sterling but move Tav forward, much better on the front foot imo.
