Has Scott wright been offered a new deal? Really disappointed if so. He's probably a good impact player but he's started against Celtic and benfica last season so doubt he's going to be an impact player.
26 Jul 2024 15:02:16
Low wages, it'd be a low fee, Scottish player for Europe. Actually been the only player I thought looked somewhat good in preseason. We have bigger problems than Scott Wright to sort out.
26 Jul 2024 15:07:36
I won't be disappointed if Wright stays.
26 Jul 2024 15:16:24
I actually think wright would be better in the middle than out wide.
26 Jul 2024 15:19:29
Being Scottish and having low wages shouldn't be the basis on which a player should be at our club or not. He's done ok in pre season and it's no more than ok and people are saying he's been one of the best isn't an indication of how good Scott wright has done it's an indication of how bad our attacking play and our play in general has been.
People are entitled to their opinion I get that but Scott wright isn't good enough, he never has been and never will be imo. Rangers need far better if we're ever going to progress and wrestle this league back.
26 Jul 2024 15:31:25
Bee, I think Wright should move on.
26 Jul 2024 15:35:32
Needs gone.
26 Jul 2024 15:35:58
Wrights mince, should have been moved on after gerrard left.
mince on the wing, mince through the middle.
Smarter move would have been to buy young raw talent for a development fee instead of plowing more money into a new deal for a proven dud.
26 Jul 2024 15:39:21
People want wright to stay and tav to go. Just wow.
26 Jul 2024 15:41:59
Scott Wright has had ample opportunities he’s just not good enough.
Please let him leave.
26 Jul 2024 15:42:33
If he signs a extension get behind him and stop constantly moaning about the boy. It's actually embarrassing getting now. Support him, he wants to be here.
26 Jul 2024 15:45:00
New contract for wright? Surely not he is mince. For the same reason we aren't signing a defender or striker until one leaves is the reason i want wright out because until he is, we won't be signing better and we need better.
26 Jul 2024 15:45:07
Guy is at least trying like he wants to be here unlike some. If his wages are cheap I'd keep him.
26 Jul 2024 15:45:43
I change my mind a few times a season on him.
Sometimes looks great, but often too inconsistent. I agree will never be a starter mustard but don’t think he’s a bad player to have in the squad.
26 Jul 2024 15:47:33
Rabbi what happens when a wide player gets injured and the back up is Wright for an old firm for example? That’s another big problem, we need to get to a point where our subs are as strong as our starting 11 as they currently contribute absolutely nothing. Keeping guys like Wright means we’re 100% weakening the side the second he comes on. He’s had his chance. Time to go.
26 Jul 2024 15:48:21
Ibrox he should be moved on, broxi it’s the manager that wants to keep him not posters on here.
26 Jul 2024 15:56:06
Can’t afford that coisty.
We can’t have 11 x £3-4m of players sitting on the sidelines. Doesn’t make sense at all.
26 Jul 2024 16:03:36
Trying and wants to be here are on par with he's Scottish and cheap wages.
The bare minimum any player at any club should be doing is trying, their professional footballers for God sake, if he's trying more than others then him and the others shouldn't be here.
And wants to be here. of course he does he's got a good wage, plays at a great club he's certainly not moving up when he leaves.
I'll play for rangers, I'll try I'll take low wages I want to be there and I'm Scottish, none of which are good enough reasons to employ me. The acceptance of mediocracy is absolutely frightening.
26 Jul 2024 16:17:53
Wright better in the middle? Not for me. He couldn’t take a simple touch in the middle of the park in the final against Celtic which cost us the game. If the manager wants Scott wright in his plans I give up.
26 Jul 2024 16:27:15
Keep Wright and ask Matondo to stay and run to the shops for the cakes and biscuits regularly . The 3 clubs in for Wright are obviously all dafter than some on here might not even be football clubs but apparently they are all at a higher level than Birmingham city . well now that's a shocker Mrs .
Move on to insulting Lowry as he's got problems in the nut.
26 Jul 2024 16:34:31
Obviously that's the bare minimum GMW. But clearly not all in the squad do that. That's the point.
26 Jul 2024 16:41:35
I agree laudruphagi - has to go - nice signing today - get a new CB (2 would be a dream) ST and a CM and we will be in a better place - going to take time and feel CL may be too early for us but let’s see ??????.
26 Jul 2024 16:53:10
Wright should be the last one out the door of those who are going, don’t think him leaving will do much for getting others in especially with a year left, not saying he is good enough but other problems must be dealt with first, common sense I would think.
26 Jul 2024 17:09:41
If Wright is part of the squad I'd have no concerns he's not on a great wage.
26 Jul 2024 17:18:16
Wright will never be good enough for us. I don't understand why we ever signed him.
26 Jul 2024 17:31:45
Wright is ok personally I would like to see him moved on but can back up anywhere behind the striker and is Scottish for euro quota and I'm sure fee would be around 500k and think he is on 6.5k per week so can see both ways.
26 Jul 2024 18:26:27
Be better off with Shane Lowry.
26 Jul 2024 18:29:43
The manager likes him and I regard the manager as quite the expert in this sort of thing .
26 Jul 2024 19:06:45
We should keep him because he doesn`t cost much in wages? He might be rubbish but that's okay because his wages are low . Sign up some of the fans they would play for a lot less if it doesn`t matter whether they are any good or not.
27 Jul 2024 03:00:10
lol cameron.
