Hullo bears. Not sure if there's anything in this but family on the missus side live in and are massive Southampton fans and apparently there's chatter down there about Stuart Armstrong on pre contract coming to us in the summer. Again might be nothing but thought I'd share.

Always rated Armstrong since his Dundee Utd days, very good experience, he certainly wouldn't be a bad signing, can also play any midfielders position.

He's still a v good player who could do a job, but as John pointed out, his name has been getting mentioned for a few years now, and there's never been anything in it.

Why not? So was Miller and Johnston. Others started out at Celtic then moved to Rangers, O'halloran and Wylde prob more, and then you have guys going back and forward in the dark ages, so it does happen.

For me its nothing to do with ex celt, he just isn't good enough. I think both Lawerence and Cantwell are better in the 10. Plus I don't think he's a PC type signing.

Clement wants eight homegrown players rtg and Armstrong definitely wouldn't be a bad signing, needs to lower his wage and probably will have to with his age, i would prefer Miller and Watson or Barron.
