Just read on twitter celtic are getting 2,750 seats at ibrox for the next old firm. Anyone know if there’s any truth in it?

davidb1996

1.) 13 Feb 2024 17:24:20
****ing better not be! All for away fans again, it's a must imo. But from the START of NEXT season onwards.

2.) 13 Feb 2024 17:51:46
Would be even sweeter beating them in front of more of there fans. after watching them against st Mirren have no doubt we'll beat them. They were camped in there own box for large parts of the game and still said they were happy with there performance afterwards.

3.) 13 Feb 2024 18:13:07
Can't see anything about it?.

4.) 13 Feb 2024 18:17:16
Must be for the upcoming women’s game because there isn’t any room at Ibrox for that amount of away fans for league matches.

5.) 13 Feb 2024 18:38:03
What section of the stadium are they getting? Hard to give them that number of seats in a segregated area.

6.) 13 Feb 2024 19:07:41
I know people will be against the idea but I fancy our chances at home whether there’s 0 900 or 3000 of them. If we can get 3000 into park head for the last old firm of the season it could make a big difference for us.

7.) 13 Feb 2024 19:16:11
Good news that. Any moving the IB to copladn also is indication it will be back to full allocation at some point.

8.) 13 Feb 2024 19:37:46
Its time to bring them back their silence shall be deafening.

9.) 13 Feb 2024 20:54:08
I agree paul 100%.

We need to get back to having a good amount of old firm away fans back in these games atmosphere is so much better.

10.) 13 Feb 2024 23:29:12
Will always split opinion this subject but the games have died a death without a large number of away fans. i'd like the option of going to piggery too.

11.) 14 Feb 2024 05:04:13
Can't stand them give them nothing but if it changes give us behind goals at piggery not stuck on a corner.

12.) 14 Feb 2024 06:39:44
Give them nothing until we are guaranteed an unrestricted view. I would insist on that if its to return to normal, otherwise beat it.

13.) 14 Feb 2024 07:26:12
I just googled it and it's a story from some rag called the celtic star, wouldn't wipe my a**e with it.

14.) 14 Feb 2024 07:38:17
To be honest it just encourages the loony element of both supporters to damage seats n lavvies, other teams supporters 2, look at what the Hibs scumbags did recently, just ends up costing money and grief.

15.) 14 Feb 2024 07:45:37
Fork we used to shop in the asda close to hampden, the staff there always said the worst support was the hibs fans, they used to walk down the booze aisle smashing bottles and rubbish in the sinks in the toilets. Total scum.

16.) 14 Feb 2024 08:20:43
Aye Jfm spoon burning clowns.

17.) 14 Feb 2024 09:14:27
100% Dado it’s not the same and needs adjusted. Seeing our players score at park head to absolute silence feels so wrong. Even the 900 is rubbish when we score and you can hardly even see them celebrate. How many iconic goals have we had there with 9000 fans going absolutely mental in the background. After Kyogo scored at ibrox at the start of the season the atmosphere died completely. The matches used to be the fans going at each other no matter what was happening on the pitch. I think 3,000 is a realistic outcome for both teams.

18.) 14 Feb 2024 09:56:18
Only place I seen this was a Celtic blog site to be fair, think a euro allocation probably the way forward from next season, would of been fun and games if we had drawn them in quarters of cup tho then a big allocation would of had to be given at either ground, remember a game early 2000s when they got Broomland and all the Govan in the cup, when I started going early 80s they used to get the Broomland and west enclosure (standing ) and a part of mainstand, at parkhead we got over 20,000 tickets the rangers end and a part of their Mai stand.

19.) 14 Feb 2024 10:26:37
It's a winde up. They won't take the 800 we will offer them and I'm happy they won't be in our stadium. For decades the SMSM have said the atmosphere was poisonous and an embarrassment for Scotland, now they want it back because its not the same. How couldn't make these clowns up!

20.) 14 Feb 2024 11:46:29
JFM it actually came from a rangers supporter on twitter.

GMS so you're happy to go to parkhead in a potential title decider without any away fans? Terrible mentality.

21.) 14 Feb 2024 14:33:36
Rangers fans - the UB are a disgrace with their sectarian songs etc and I'm not bothered if they create an atmosphere, ban them etc. ?
Same Rangers fans - I'd love Celtic fans to come back to Ibrox for an Old Firm game with their sectarian bile because the Old Firm games has lost it's atmosphere without them?.

22.) 14 Feb 2024 15:07:50
MPH I agree 100% with your comments. For the record I love the UB and I know a few of them. Personally I wish we would ditch some songs. i. e. Bought a flute and NPOR and a few others. We have some fantastic songs that get the juicies flowing. It's no coincidence that when the stadium is rocking its the new age songs that are being sung. Old fart loyal!

23.) 14 Feb 2024 15:08:13
Mph sectarian bile on both sides but you think the Union bears are fine which is even worse.
Are you telling me the atmosphere isn’t worse now

If both sets of fans just sign the songs without sectarian bile then we have a great atmosphere at the games ?

For old firm games with 2 sets of fans you don’t need to good brigade or the onion bears. Boths of these groups are an embarrassment to their teams.

24.) 14 Feb 2024 15:14:13
Nailed it MPH! The hypocrisy on here is mental at times.

25.) 14 Feb 2024 15:45:26
Correct, NRD. Someone who gets the point.

26.) 14 Feb 2024 15:48:28
Where have I said the UB are fine singing sectarian songs, Storm? I’ll wait.
And you have said you would ban the UB on many occasions whether it affects the atmosphere or not. But are quite willing to invite 7500 Celtic fans with their bike to create an atmosphere.
Irony hypocritical overload???
P. S. Onion Bears is Tim Patter???.

27.) 14 Feb 2024 16:35:05
NRD that's just wrong. Every atmosphere from during a game is NPOR, BMG or 50pF, rightly or wrongly.

28.) 14 Feb 2024 16:41:44
Agree Storm religious and or sectarian bile has nothing to do with football. Aye sing songs create an atmosphere, but leave the sh#t outside. On top of that how much have these fools cost the respective clubs.

29.) 14 Feb 2024 18:42:41
tjn if you thing those songs get the stadium up then you've obviously not been to a game at Ibrox for years. RB Leipzig in the semi not one of those cringe songs was sung and that's a fact. It's more at away games you get them but hardly ever at Ibrox now and I'm thankful for that mate.

30.) 14 Feb 2024 19:12:36
Nothing beats cheering your team on in a hostile arena, we all get that, and prob want it 2, but tbh I can't be ar#ed with all the sh#! that goes with it, some of the loons on both side's live in the dark ages. No place for the garbage that pervades the stands from people who profess to love their club, but cost them money with a religious and sectarian narrative that's decades out of date. Just my humble opinion.

31.) 15 Feb 2024 01:11:35
Apart from aberdeen and ross county at home of course NRD where lousest songs of the night were build my gallows.

32.) 15 Feb 2024 07:29:37
Funny thing MPH and Storm none of the two of you said what you appear to be " discussing" none of the 2 of you utter the exact words" Union Bears are fine singing sectarian songs" in this stream. Just saying.

33.) 15 Feb 2024 11:18:06
a mate of mine sits in BR5 (nearest to the screens) said he had recieved comms from the club that he would be getting moved next season. He is under the impression that section will be used for away fans next season. Could that mean celtic get corner and BF5 and BR5?!

34.) 15 Feb 2024 11:32:51
We offered them 750 seats they sayed no then sayed we could not go to there stadium due to safety concerns would give them **** all

35.) 15 Feb 2024 11:40:24
Paul there are no sectarian language in BMG so I don't know what your point is. Ok it's not a Rangers song per say but I'm talking about NPOR and songs that could getvus a ban in Europe. ie Super Rangers which has been eradicated from the song book. My point is the atmosphere at Leipzig was the best ever and no songs containing sectarian language was sung.

36.) 15 Feb 2024 16:43:57
I have always said onion bears and good brigade they are a joke to both sets of clubs and you big up the onion bears constantly so you are what they are doing is fine. You are saying sectarian bile is fine as that comes along with both sets of groups. They bring atmosphere they can sing what they like ?‍♂️?.

37.) 15 Feb 2024 16:45:50
Some good posts there fork about songs. These idiots don’t need to bring the club down by singing the sectarian bile that some on here seem to think it’s fine because they bring atmosphere.

38.) 15 Feb 2024 17:36:23
Cheers Storm ??.

39.) 15 Feb 2024 17:57:53
NRD I am at every home game. Which song got the fans going yesterday? Fathers advice. The leipzig game was 2 years ago, and it began with Build My Gallows, as all euro songs do. Stop lying to yourself.

28 Jan 2024 18:29:41
Colombian U23 team have announced that Oscar Cortes has left the squad. Chris Jack is saying that we have interest in him but reports of him being on his way to Glasgow are wide of the mark. This is one that I’m very excited about.

davidb1996

1.) 28 Jan 2024 20:16:57
Doesn't need to be Glasgow for a deal to be done.

2.) 28 Jan 2024 21:17:34
Its not being done at 1DG mate.

3.) 28 Jan 2024 21:30:36
True but I’d imagine he’ll do his medical here.

4.) 29 Jan 2024 00:26:52
Again Davie if he’s away on international duty it could be done at another facility does not have to be here.

5.) 29 Jan 2024 10:12:02
Where did I say it did.

6.) 29 Jan 2024 13:12:52
Jefte and Cortes, on top of Silva and Diomande, if so who misses out on the Europa spot? unless either the Jefte or Cortes deal isn't for this window.

7.) 29 Jan 2024 15:34:28
Fair davie maybe I just picked you up wrong with kpeni g statement.

23 Jan 2024 21:08:07
Chris Jack saying we have no interest in Smal.

davidb1996

1.) 23 Jan 2024 22:37:22
I’m not believing him.
I think there’s definitely an interest in smal.

2.) 23 Jan 2024 23:02:41
When he is definitive on things like this he’s normally right.

3.) 23 Jan 2024 23:07:44
Heart and hand post cryptic message of smal hope and end of there post aboit diomande.

4.) 23 Jan 2024 23:46:32
I would be surprised if they were wrong they have links to the club and they wouldn’t shoot it down without some sort of info. 4lads, H&H and RR all following the narrative that Smal won’t happen.

5.) 24 Jan 2024 00:17:39
David is this re January or altogether?

6.) 24 Jan 2024 09:00:51
Didn’t say dates but I’d guess altogether. He said ‘Rangers have no interest in FC Twente left-back Gijs Smal. ’.

7.) 24 Jan 2024 10:25:52
Fair enough david
Be interesting to see how it plays out now then. ??.

8.) 24 Jan 2024 12:45:43
We should be interested in Smal even if its just on a pre contract for signing in the summer. We will definitely have to replace Barisic then or even sooner if the Roma rumours are true, so even if Yilmaz stays we will need another left back . If this guy is as good as people say and he would be free why aren`t we interested in him?

9.) 24 Jan 2024 12:51:27
Reports in Italian media claim Roma are trying to sign BB this month something I'd welcome as he'd leave for free in the summer.

10.) 24 Jan 2024 15:48:26
One Walter very good info.

11.) 24 Jan 2024 19:14:33
So do you reckon borna barisic is possibly signing for roma this month John227?.

12.) 25 Jan 2024 11:48:33
Walter hope so.

17 Jan 2024 20:57:48
Jurasek going to Hoffenheim by the looks of it. Back to the drawing board.

davidb1996

1.) 17 Jan 2024 22:09:07
It's Romano that is saying that Hoffenheim are closing in on a Loan with an option to Buy. Disappointing if we are after him and we lose out.

2.) 17 Jan 2024 22:12:42
Good. Josh Doig is the LB we need. Scottish, huge potential and knows what's needed in the SPL. 4m would hopwfully seal the deal.

3.) 17 Jan 2024 22:33:40
Without sounding disrespectful I highly doubt he was even in the thought board far less drawing board, could I be wrong? 100% but for me this was never in the pipeline, I really hope I'm wrong as he is the type of calibre I'd love us to be going after.

4.) 17 Jan 2024 23:03:14
The reaction from Benfica fans tells me we may have dodged a bullet anyway.

5.) 18 Jan 2024 13:51:42
I thought he looked really good but I've been YouTube stung a few tes.

12 Jan 2024 00:01:04
Linked with Oscar Zambrano from a few accounts on twitter. From Ecuador know next to nothing about him but Man U are also linked so probs going to be another that’s shot down in the coming days. Bournemouth and Luton also in the frame apparently.

davidb1996

1.) 12 Jan 2024 05:11:14
Think Bournemouth will sign him.

2.) 12 Jan 2024 07:32:20
Valued at 5.5m!, plus we already have a lad from Ecuador who's been very poor at best.

3.) 12 Jan 2024 08:30:08
GMS1973, because jose cifuentes has taken time to settle in doesn't mean a player from the same country would mate, as everyone is different ?I actually think that cifuentes will come good for rangers because the guy is a good midfielder ?.

4.) 12 Jan 2024 08:57:40
This falls into the same category as Bishy. Total bollox. Both players are capable of picking up £60/ £80k a week in the Premier League. How are they coming to ibrox. No chance.

5.) 12 Jan 2024 09:03:07
I must be watching a different player then? What's he done any better than Lammers or Dessers . who are constantly slated?

6.) 12 Jan 2024 09:16:19
There's obviously a player in Cifu, he's taking time to settle.

7.) 12 Jan 2024 09:36:07
It's not going to happen. We need to find players that have yet to be identified by EPL Clubs. I am confident that it will happen with our current Management Team but it will take time. Let's just hope that when we do sign players of this calibre we hold on to them for a few years before we sell them!

8.) 12 Jan 2024 09:49:48
Agree RE: Cifu - he's not had a great run in the team, but I think there's a player in there. I think the last few games he's played he's been good, he's looked after the ball and made a few good blocks/ interceptions.

I'd ignore the performances under Beale personally where we didn't have a style of system at all.

9.) 12 Jan 2024 09:53:29
Agree Walter there's a player in Cifu and hopefully we get to see it soon enough. Lundstram was guff til he got used to our game and now he's a mainstay.

10.) 12 Jan 2024 10:00:48
Cifu has been man of match a couple of times lol. Had a couple wee injures also but he's defos a player, just needs some time.

Also seems a bit of Racism/ Xenophobia from GMS1983.

11.) 12 Jan 2024 10:18:43
If he's allowed time to settle, then why not Lammers?

12.) 12 Jan 2024 10:34:15
Jose definitely has ability h
Just needs to adjust more to the football here.

13.) 12 Jan 2024 10:37:54
Lammers played 31 times and cifu approx 9 including sub appearances.

14.) 12 Jan 2024 10:38:35
GMS, Cifu was the last summer signing and had a couple of injuries. He's played in a World Cup. If Big Phil can get the most out of him we'll have a good player on our hands.

15.) 12 Jan 2024 10:42:30
GMS - Cifu has a defined role in the team as a central/ box-to-box midfielder. One of Lammers biggest issues for us was he/ we couldn't work out where to play him. He wasn't quick enough to play wide, he wasn't effective playing as a 10. We just couldn't accommodate him any longer when he was having such limited impact in the final third.

I actually think he has something int he locker, but that we're not the right team/ league to see the best of him. Sometimes it just doesn't work out and that's OK. Weirdly I thought he might actually best as a back to goal Center Forward for us, taking the ball in and laying it off, but for whatever reason he/ the manager doesn't seem to want to play there.

16.) 12 Jan 2024 10:43:08
I read the other day this lad will be signed by Bournemouth and loaned to hibs for 18 months.

The Bournemouth owner has a % in hibs and is looking to send all their new young raw signings to hibs to get British football experience and then take them to England around 22 ready for the challenge of English premier.

Read that just 3 days ago.

17.) 12 Jan 2024 13:15:05
I agree with you coops.

To right someplayer off because he comes from same country as one of our players is ludicrous and shows a lack of knowledge on football.

18.) 12 Jan 2024 13:15:36
Stevie I didn’t think the deal with Bournemouth owner and Hibs has went thru with him buying shares.

I haven’t been one to really jump on the criticism of Goldson in the past but since the Aberdeen game where Miovski scored he looks miles off it. The part that’s infuriated me this weekend is if you watch the first 2 goals he closes the ball down and then doesn’t even make any sort of attempt to block the shot/ cross for either of them. He just jogs out and refuses to actually defend the ball. Look at the difference of their defenders throwing themselves at absolutely everything. His legs don’t even move to stop the ball it’s actually embarrassing.

Lundstram for the second goal as well where he looks at the boy 2 or 3 times then just let's him walk past and tap it into an empty net. That for me is inexcusable, and given he can’t be bothered to track a runner with 7 games to go in a title race, any contract offer on the table should be taken away immediately and he can go and rot for some mid table championship team where he belongs.

The ‘leadership’ group hardly won us anything in their so called prime there’s absolutely no chance they win us anything when they’re all on the decline and wet the bed as soon as there’s a sniff of a title race. The manager needs to be ruthless and willing to shake up the dressing room. If Lundstram Goldson and Tav take us into next season then on the managers head it will be when it inevitably goes wrong again.

davidb1996

1.) 15 apr 2024 21:14:50
these are reasons why rangers should always be on the lookout for talented rangers supporting players who show the promise of becoming a part of our history, we had success that way for generations, we must return to searching our own backyards first, and adding quality as we progress, along with top class coaching, the rangers way has always included homegrown bluenosed boys, they are the soul of the club, lose that and we lose something from our heritage as far as i'm concerned, the boy ferguson was the outstanding one that got away, i hope we don't let that happen too often.

2.) 15 Apr 2024 21:21:19
While I agree with a lot of the comments on here I disagree with restructuring our defence before the end of the season. I would stick sterling at RM to protect Tav and I would play balogun at lB if yilmaz not fit.

14 Apr 2024 19:20:43
Hope Lundstrams contract offer is swiftly removed from the table. The leadership group of Tav, Goldson and Lundstram needs disbanded. The first 2 goals Goldson didn’t even attempt to block the shot from the player. Same story from the same players we need to rip apart this team starting with the back 4.

davidb1996

1.) 14 Apr 2024 19:32:45
Totally agree my concern is we may not have the money to replace all but I think lunny is playing like some1 who knows he's going whilst goldson hasn't been the same since the injury against Liverpool.

2.) 14 apr 2024 20:28:04
goldson and kent cost us a european trophy imo, both should have gone back then, goldsons never been very good, but he seems to think he is,

3.) 14 Apr 2024 21:18:52
I must say I've never been a fan of goldson. Anyone who knows me knows my thoughts on him but he's actually gotten worse and now is a total liability.

4.) 14 Apr 2024 21:20:42
Feel same he and his midfield partner's have not got the better of that lots midfield in years. We can't get better with lesser players absolute common sense.

5.) 15 Apr 2024 02:42:16
TT spot on, To me Goldson has a been a liability since day one. ???????????.

6.) 15 Apr 2024 08:22:39
Tom, I also blame those two for the euro defeat, especially Goldson.

09 Apr 2024 19:54:44
The penalty we got is an absolute stone waller and I’m not sure why there’s even some form of a debate about it. If you watch it Johnston wins the ball with his foot basically on the ground and then lifts his leg up to block silva from running past him. Had he kept his foot on the floor I don’t think it would’ve been a pen but the contact on Silva is a completely separate motion to the one that won the ball.

I hope rangers are having a go at sky and the BBC for the ridiculous commentary from Stewart and Sutton. The punditry in this country is an absolute joke. It’s a bad day when Neil Lennon is one of the best and least bias ones out there. I include Boyd in that as well he’s embarrassing at best sometimes.

davidb1996

1.) 09 Apr 2024 20:39:08
Have to say Stewarts was more surprising given his supposed impartiality whilst Sutton I'd expect no diff.

2.) 09 Apr 2024 22:47:44
Listen, it was as clear a penalty as you’ll see

that mob have already made their mind up that there is a conspiracy against them from referee’s, it wouldn’t matter what was given even if it was completely correct (like all the big calls on Sunday), they will find a way to be raging about it anyway.

Their own board and everyone from within the club plays that card every time they are under a bit of pressure and the goon brigade lap it up every time. Take their last AGM, they are all going in to it, fuming with the board, wanting Rodgers sacked, demanding to know why the club have acted in certain ways. Their chairmen then drops a joke about how many penalties Rangers have got and that the last time Rangers conceded a pen it was John Greig that gave it away, they all think it’s brilliant and totally miss that all the board have done is deflected away from any potential scrutiny.

So no matter what call is made, they will have a meltdown about it anyway. Even when Beaton gave them a pen and chops a goal off for us, rather than acknowledge that he got some massive decisions correct for them, they instead come out with nonsense like “I bet he was raging he had to give that to us” ?

They are a club like no other. Sutton is a cheerleader to drive the narrative and Michael Stewart is just a thick imbecile who doesn’t even understand half the rules. And if it’s a decision in our favour that is absolutely nailed on by the rules, he will then say something like “well that is the rule, but the rule is absolutely ridiculous” ? So we should all just change the rules because Michael Stewart had a stinker in a trial 20 year ago and has never gotten over it ??‍♂️.

3.) 10 Apr 2024 03:21:50
It wouldn’t matter if one of their players karate kicked on of our players in the box, they would still say it isn’t a penalty.

4.) 10 Apr 2024 04:39:49
Like i've always said that club and it's supporters are strange characters ?It wouldn't matter what went on during a game they're so obsessed and paranoid that in their tiny wee minds they really do believe ie. 'they're always cheated, never defeated ' it's laughable ?.

5.) 10 Apr 2024 07:22:10
Any time Celtic drop points it’s cheating Beaton etc it’s how they are.

06 Apr 2024 09:20:46
The 11 I believe will start if Yilmaz isn’t fit I think Sterling goes left back Silva goes on the right and Matondo comes in on the left. Or Scott wright comes in and plays right wing but I really hope that’s not the case.

Butland
Tav Goldson Souttar Yilmaz
Diomande Lundstram
Sterling Cantwell Silva
Dessers.

davidb1996

1.) 06 Apr 2024 09:49:10
I’ve went for same if Yilmaz starts Davie.

2.) 06 Apr 2024 10:28:59
I think Borna and Wright start.

3.) 06 Apr 2024 10:37:25
I sometimes wonder about you, EHL! You do want us to win, don't you?

4.) 06 Apr 2024 10:37:45
Eph hopefully your having a laugh, get Barisic as far away from the pitch as possible, would be very worried if he started, good player for us but certainly not now.

5.) 06 Apr 2024 10:44:17
Ehl sorry.

6.) 06 Apr 2024 11:06:02
Lol, I didn't say I wanted either to start.

I'd rather Yilmaz and Sima start, but have a gut feeling neither will.

I have faith in both Borna and Wright - but also have more faith in PC, so will back whatever 11 start.

7.) 06 Apr 2024 11:21:39
Borna does start a first team game
until leagie won waste of a jersey.

8.) 06 Apr 2024 14:23:37
Wishful thinking regarding borna, I think if yilmaz is fit he starts, if not it'll be borna, the overreaction to him maybe playing is odd in my opinion, I don't think there's much between the 2 left backs and if it's barisic he's got more than enough in his locker to take care of kuhn, for what it's worth I think the team will be

Butland
Tavernier Goldson Souttar Yilmaz
Lundstram Diomande
Sterling Cantwell Sima
Dessers

Gives us lawrence, silva, roofe, wright and mcausland as decent attacking options off the bench if needed

2-1 gers sima and tavernier scoring.

9.) 06 Apr 2024 15:06:37
Butland, Tav, goldson, soutter, ridvan, dio, lunny, Lawrence, Silva, Dessers, sima.

1-0 nil 60 mins, sterling for Silva. More defensive, dio left, Lawrence right, sterling and lunny middle.

65 cantwell for Lawrence
65 Matondo for sima
70 Roofe for Dessers.

10.) 06 Apr 2024 16:08:31
Jackboy would not be unhappy with that team.

11.) 06 Apr 2024 20:01:55
John27,

it's a fine line between going for it and maybe being too open or playing sterling who makes us more solid but maybe hasn't quite got the attacking prowess of others, itll be interesting to see how the manager sees it, everyone knows I don't rate dessers at all I wish roofe was fit to start but it'll be cyriel, a defining game for him I think-2 wins in the next 4 days and a 5 point gap would surely be enough.

12.) 06 Apr 2024 22:01:22
Jackboy55- it all depends on the fitness of Yilmaz but I don’t think you will be far off with your team selection.

I see Ofoborh played for Swindon yesterday. Obviously wish him the best and hope everything goes ok but I’m surprised he’s allowed to play football again.

Nothing to stop him playing. We just not prepared to risk his life

I wish him the best of health.

2.) 30 Mar 2024 09:26:47
Hope all goes well for the lad, also hope he remembers who looked after him for 3? Years.

3.) 30 Mar 2024 10:17:55
Hope he still has a decent career.

4.) 30 Mar 2024 11:19:32
David do you feel the same about Goldson?

5.) 30 Mar 2024 11:25:04
BAR from his comments I don't think he holds much regard for Rangers.
His "the truth will come out" comment suggests strongly that he disagreed with the club not allowing him to play.
I hope he stays healthy and enjoys playing safely.

6.) 30 Mar 2024 12:53:48
Agreed Jfm63, he could always have ended his contract and walked away I'm sure if things were that bad, but maybe they weren't?

I can’t see it tbh he’d command high wages and it’s a position where we have more than enough players. If Lawrence is sold then maybe but I can’t see it otherwise.

A fantastic servant to the club had 5x more good games than he had bad. It’s time to move on though with our best wishes.

It won’t be nonsense of course scouts will be watching him. He’s on course to sweep up the player of the year awards and is by far the best keeper in the league. I’d be surprised if clubs weren’t taking note but I hope they’ve got a big cheque book if they intend on taking him.

Bar we have the best defence in the country so we don’t need a full rejig at all. Can see us signing a cb to partner Goldson and a left back to replace Borna but that’s it.

He’s a nothing player he provides next to nothing going forward and the same going back the way. He needs to learn to control the game in a similar way to McGregor but I don’t think he has the ability to.

The issue is we’ve lost the safety net of not having to go there and getting a result. I don’t see how our recent performances will lead to us winning 6/ 6 but we’ll see.

Hearts us and killie 3 games on the spin is not easy for them. Excluding the old firm I actually think they have worse fixtures than us. Whether we have the bottle to go to park head and get anything or not is the big issue.

There’s also no evidence to suggest no contact has been made either.

Given the emphasis the manager puts on players being fit I highly doubt Diomande had any say in the matter. If he’s had surgery on his thumb days before it’s hardly a surprise he didn’t play.
