Reports Cerny agent has said it's not realistic that he stays with Rangers next season.
1.) 08 Mar 2025 12:06:48
Disappointing but didn't think we could afford him anyway, Storm.
He has certainly delivered goals and assists from the RW.
2.) 08 Mar 2025 12:07:50
He already hinted in interview he would not be staying
Tilman sima cerny
We have to stop loaning players with no firm option to buy with player preagreed if we want to make it permanent
It just leaves a gaping hole in your team if loan player ends up being one of your best players.
3.) 08 Mar 2025 12:08:31
Same as Sima previously Storm.
We should just enjoy these guys when they are here.
4.) 08 Mar 2025 12:21:36
I mean Cerny agent will look to drum up anything for a bigger fee from another side but ultimately comes down to the player.
Would be gutted to lose him tbh, always gets on the ball and tries to make things happen can be frustrating at times but that's because he lacks a RB capable of getting beyond him now that tav plays 20/ 30 yards deeper than he use to.
5.) 08 Mar 2025 13:00:54
When we have a very limited budget for players these loans are the only way to add more quality to the squad so to say we should stop doing it is nonsense. Most clubs do it, Arsenal who are currently second in the EPL and more or less through in Europe have 2 loan players and I bet neither will be at the club next season. Its the modern game.
And by the way we did have an option to buy Tillman, which Bayern reneged on . We still made £2.5 million on the deal though.
It would have been brilliant to have all three, playing across the attack though.
6.) 08 Mar 2025 13:04:44
Forever Rangers I get what you are saying but Tillman sima and now Cerny have done a job when here. I didn't think for one minute we would keep Cerny. Option to buy they can still get out of it and they may not sign if it was obligation to buy.
7.) 08 Mar 2025 13:31:57
So we wouldn't have loaned Cerny if we only take players with agreed options. we can't afford £7M for a fee or his wages at Wolfsburg. so option is take a player we can't afford who makes a difference for the season or don't take him and go for someone who doesn't cost as much but may not be as good. so do you want Tilman, Sima and Cerny improving the team for a season or not at all. I know where I fall, a definite yes.
8.) 08 Mar 2025 13:37:08
Disagree with not signing them, Carny has been fantastic this season. Improved our team so the right decision to sign him. Same with Sima and Tillman.
9.) 08 Mar 2025 13:55:53
Would it be worth a move for Sima who is out of contract in the summer or do we think he would be out of the wage structure.
10.) 08 Mar 2025 16:03:04
Broxi I understand hsima signed a one year extension before he was allowed to go on loan to france.
11.) 08 Mar 2025 17:25:30
Abdallah Sima, the Brest attacker, has played in the vast majority of their Ligue 1 matches in 2024/ 2025, making 19 appearances overall and accumulating 854 minutes of playing time. He has been selected in the starting XI in nine of these appearances across their 24 fixtures and been used in a substitute role on 10 occasions.
Broxi - Sima was excellent at Rangers, but probably depends if he wants to return to play in the SPFL, and his wages.
Sima LW and Cerny RW?
12.) 08 Mar 2025 17:35:08
Let's win Europa league get automatic qualification to Champs League then I'm sure he will change his stance and we will be able to offord him.
13.) 08 Mar 2025 18:30:38
Nothing wrong bringing players in for one season if it makes team better for a season, Tillman, Sima and Cerny have all played their part and I hope it continues, hopefully it can be the difference in the coming seasons.
14.) 08 Mar 2025 23:46:27
@ foreverrangers, Firm option to buy not always great either, take Cortes for example, hardly kicked a ball due to injury and had little time to make any impact but from what I've read we are now obliged to pay somewhere in the region of £4m for a player that has not shown in my opinion anything close to this in worth. Would much rather pay 6 odd for Cerny knowing what we would get than 4m on Cortes who is constantly injured and don't know what he is capable of.
24 Feb 2025 10:03:11
Issame Charai taking training this morning as Rangers work on an interim coaching team. No permanent appointment expected at the moment with takeover talks/ sporting director search/ review ongoing.
Josh Barrie said this whoever he is think it's Rangers review.
1.) 24 Feb 2025 12:28:51
Josh is the only decent member of the Rangers review who doesn't usually sensationalise for clicks. Does anyone know if Charai speaks much English? Only found clips of him speaking French. Surely he can.
2.) 24 Feb 2025 12:39:31
Thought the board had finally come to their senses, only to potentially appoint FERGUSON……"out of the fire into the frying pan……. ".
3.) 24 Feb 2025 13:04:28
Rabbi on his linked in page he claims to speak English, Dutch, French, Arabic and broad Glaswegian. okay the last one was a lie.
12 Feb 2025 18:41:11
Interesting post from heart in hand. 'someone asked if it was true PS said that we need to judge PC end of next season and heart and hands words were no, from a parody account.
??.
1.) 12 Feb 2025 19:13:03
Weird the amount of ? that appears when a clubs apparently in turmoil bud, was it derogatory ????.
2.) 12 Feb 2025 19:15:59
He needs to go now Strom, I see lots of people say no point saking now, why would you give a stay of execution until the end of the season, get a new man in nkw to try and instill a proper culture.
3.) 12 Feb 2025 19:16:47
Unsure about that fork but it definitely wasn't watched ?.
4.) 12 Feb 2025 19:19:58
Happy fishing Storm.
5.) 12 Feb 2025 19:29:19
At this point our club is the parody account.
6.) 12 Feb 2025 19:32:31
Asa the problem now is some targets are likely in a job so it's going to cost to compensate there club also if a new guy takes over and was to lose at the other mob straight away he's under pressure. respectfully disagree on this occasion.
7.) 12 Feb 2025 19:36:00
Lol ach u still got me bud???.
8.) 12 Feb 2025 20:20:15
Were they in the hospitality suite 'watching' what happened so they can discount the fact PS never spoke. or just that the discussion was noted in a parody account. fairly obvious distinction. so I was there and nothing happened or I know that is a parody account, which I 'saw'
9.) 12 Feb 2025 20:20:23
Fair points OWS?.
10.) 12 Feb 2025 20:34:57
I would say based on the club's recent timescales we need to sack Clement now. By doing this we might actually have an appointment by August.
11.) 12 Feb 2025 20:41:41
Agreed Asa
Thanks fork
Angus the problem with that is John said he watched it this has already been proven by fork posting what was said. John wasn't there so what did he watch? Saw is not watched either.
Dado I wasn't fishing mate just thought it was interesting that fan media basically said it didn't happen and made up from a parody account which I said and got told I was wrong ?.
12.) 12 Feb 2025 20:44:41
Not for the first time, the cry to sack PC.
Fair enough, but to be replaced by whom… there does seem to be a deafening silence from these 'contributors'… I mean at least offer a realistic alternative…. Please.
13.) 12 Feb 2025 20:59:31
Never took very long replacing Gerrard or gvb or Beale, Asathor. What manager is going to look at our situation with no funds available and will need to reduce wages?
14.) 12 Feb 2025 21:46:28
I don't see why there is a need to make a big issue about it. John posted something and it's time to move on. Storm your only getting yourself wound up and it's not worth.
15.) 12 Feb 2025 21:50:04
Exactly MyStar, some fans getting their hopes up of a Gerard return when, in reality, there is not a hells chance he's coming back without a decent amount to spend.
It just isn't going to happen.
16.) 12 Feb 2025 22:19:09
Storm before I opt out for a while I will respond. Personally I think it was John using the wrong word. (sorry John) he has a habit of typing fast and the words occasionally being wrong. Personally I don't think it is worth dragging out the use of a word over 3-4 days but just me. as I say it is getting far too vicious on here and I would rather not post for a few days at least until it all calms down a bit. nothing personal on anyone but emotions are high and we are all posting things we probably wouldn't normally. take care guys and try to remember we all love the club.
17.) 12 Feb 2025 22:40:49
You too bud??.
18.) 12 Feb 2025 23:00:21
Angus just keep posting but post on the topics you want to talk about and debate on
We all don't need to post a d debate on every post posted mate
thag way your only debating on what you want to debate on don't feel pressurised into commenting on every post.
Just some daft advice from me mate ☺️?.
19.) 12 Feb 2025 23:09:15
Take care Angus and hopefully we'll hear from you soon.
20.) 13 Feb 2025 00:16:09
Ties and xxxl blazer crew better come up with something positive or forthcoming season ticket sales are going to have them shopping for adult nappies. Admitting they are useless and seeking new buyers for the club might help .
21.) 13 Feb 2025 04:43:22
Take care Angus ? don't stop posting pal ??? I most certainly enjoy your posts mate ?.
22.) 13 Feb 2025 04:45:27
The thing is Mills that won't be the case and trust me the vast majority will renew as season ticket holders.
23.) 13 Feb 2025 07:26:18
Just hope it's not a long absence Angus, one of the better posters on this site mate.
24.) 13 Feb 2025 09:06:51
Keep posting Angus please. You always provide a sensible, balanced and quite often different perspective/ angle on things and it is very much appreciated.
25.) 13 Feb 2025 11:44:08
Guys, I said I saw it on face book, where is it said it's a three hour movie, new school bully has his own agenda, good bye and god bless.
26.) 13 Feb 2025 12:08:43
No probs Angus I want you to keep posting, we have our disagreements but every site like that does.
If John did use the wrong word all he has to do is say that instead of doubling down and saying that it actually happened when it didn't. We all get things wrong I do all the time. I said on another post and I will apologise for using the word morons as I shouldn't have called everyone that just my emotions. Tho I will not apologise ever to TT.
27.) 13 Feb 2025 12:15:22
That post for Angus one of the best on here imo as is tt.
28.) 13 Feb 2025 13:06:35
Keep posting mate. We don't often agree but your one of the fairer ones and enjoy our debates.
29.) 13 Feb 2025 16:35:50
Sir Walter I know 4 now who are not renewing, for various reasons but mainly cost, it doesn't work for me due to work commitments . Of course those 4 may well be replaced though I feel this board have no idea the troubles they are going to have. not for them of course they have the best seats and a free hurl, mind granny saying "act daft and get a free hurl " ?
30.) 13 Feb 2025 17:01:32
Angus, I sincerely hope that you're only stepping aside, for a wee while, as, in my humble opinion, you are one of the 5 star posters on here.
"Haste ye back".
31.) 13 Feb 2025 21:41:20
Storm, give john a break. how many days have you been going on about this? Pathetic Storm, honestly! You used to be very vocal about john not sharing info because people calling him out if it's wrong, now look at you going out your way to make the guy look like a liar. Maybe he did get it wrong big deal let it go.
10 Feb 2025 19:02:17
A month ago tomorrow Patrick Stewart backed Philippe Clement but added "no-one employee is retained irrespective of results".
Now we are getting told by some that he is here to next year.
If true PS and PC both have to go.
1.) 10 Feb 2025 19:30:06
Mb the review suggests otherwise storm.
2.) 10 Feb 2025 19:30:36
I'd be more relaxed if we had transparency from PS and PC. A simple we are unlikely to be competitive for the next 3 seasons, we won't be challenging for the league and hope perhaps to get to a cup final. As a result we'll reduce our costs in alignment with the new expectations.
The naive board and expecting us to pay top dollar for that guff, it's not good enough and as a group of loyal fans we deserve better. Our loyalty cannot be taken for granted as this board appear to have done.
3.) 10 Feb 2025 19:35:54
Agree storm.
4.) 10 Feb 2025 19:39:30
Does anyone really expect this board to sack him, We are a laughing stock under them. Maybe the next time fans start a boycott or walkout other fans won't boo them, this board probably think its a small minority that are challenging them. The fact we say we can't keep sacking managers but are prepared to back the worst of the lot. Its this boards decisions that the club have no money. Until they go we will not challenge again. Celtic are only going to get stronger. Dark days ahead.
5.) 10 Feb 2025 19:50:45
I agree strøm, he was brought in to make the big football decisions.
There is no coming back from yesterday.
6.) 10 Feb 2025 20:01:16
If you think this is Stewarts fault then grow up.
Is he supposed to fund the sacking out his own pocket?
Did he give the likes of clement and sterling new deals?
7.) 10 Feb 2025 20:01:18
Goalposts moved.
8.) 10 Feb 2025 20:06:37
Patrick Stewart is facing the same pressure and decisions he had when he first walked in the door back in December.
2 months on and I'd argue its gotten worse for him and the same issue remains regarding the manager.
It just goes to show that kicking the can down the road isn't a viable solution. We're delaying the inevitable. If finances are the reason he's staying, just come out and tell us.
9.) 10 Feb 2025 20:14:27
Dado, if they come out and said what u suggest, the club is finished.
10.) 10 Feb 2025 20:17:32
Seriously, get a grip on your emotions. He was given a year to reduce crippling wages etc. as a consequence he has been told silverware this season is not top priority it's that bad!
He has done a lot that was asked. 12m wiped off wages! 12m! And avg age at 23 or whatever it is and players with great potential return. And competitive inbetween.
Is it hard to stomach? Absolutely!
But he gets to the end of next season.
Deal with it! Support the team win or loose. That will help these players particularly the younger ones.
Reign it in and realise we have no money to do what we really want to do. So this is the next plan.
11.) 10 Feb 2025 20:19:47
TrueBlue33, even if that was definitely the case i.e. only keeping clement in the manager's job because of finances, do you honestly think they would come out and tell all and plaster that news everywhere mate? ?
Of course they wouldn't ?.
12.) 10 Feb 2025 20:33:35
Dado, no Board are ever going to come out and say that. There would be an open revolt. I think too many here think that investment and full forensic reviews etc can happen overnight.
I've tried to avoid the toxicity online last night and today. Yes it's absolutely unacceptable and yes significant changes are needed but to ask a Board to knee jerk comment to fans is just ridiculous, as is calling for Patrick Stewart. Utter madness. He's no mug, neither is Thornton. Big decisions will be taken in good time.
13.) 10 Feb 2025 20:49:32
Sorry SWS it was sarcasm. Of course they wouldn't, they were the same muppets to reward the man with an unwarranted new contract.
I feel for Patrick Stewart, he's clearly trying to shelter and deflect this from the board.
Boo's and Banner won't bother them either. How much more embarrassment do we want? More days like yesterday will continue.
14.) 10 Feb 2025 20:50:10
We need clarity on what is actually going at our club. Chairman and Ceo need to tell the fans what the business plan is. By this I mean tell us what the review has found and more importantly what are the recommendations to improve us as a club and team. Continual failure without a proper improvement plan is bad management alround. Any business needs to target its failure points with a clear action plan on how to improve, let us know what they are planning and the fans will follow us all the way.
Keep telling us nothing and the anger and resentment will only get worse especially with clement seemingly bulletproof regardless of results.
15.) 10 Feb 2025 21:06:23
NO one honestly believes that results like Sunday are acceptable, but equally simply demanding to sack PC or even add PS in this current climate look very precarious unless we believe there is some messianic manager out there willing to work for and likely with even less going forward.
There does not seem to be a great deal of interest in ploughing millions in from a business man/ consortium so we are to an extent stuck. Equally cannot see why anyone at the club would say 'for 3 years we'll be no more than mediocre but please fans keep pumping in your hard earned coin'…
Sadly we are in a state we are finding tough to extricate ourselves from and whilst I am gutted about yesterdays abject performance I cannot see a simple round of sackings changing this… all efforts for us now need to be Europe as this currently looks our only way of generating funds.
16.) 10 Feb 2025 21:29:48
That's what they're doing John regardless of being honest or not. If what you're saying stands up to scrutiny then we're already finished. We are building a non competitive club who are happy just to plod along. Prices need to follow the strategy of the club.
17.) 10 Feb 2025 22:40:07
Agree Gdog, honestly who cares if we win the Scottish cup this year, 12m off wages and a great europa campaign has to eat into the 17m loss. Some people think it's champ manager,
18.) 10 Feb 2025 22:49:46
Financially, you get 400k for winning the Scottish cup, difference between 1st and 2nd in spl is 1.3m. So europe makes more money than both of these easily, so good work making the last 8.
We don't win the cup, big deal.
19.) 11 Feb 2025 04:08:11
Those were PS words not mine ?.
20.) 11 Feb 2025 04:34:52
Good post GDog. If we continued the path we were on without any fresh investment it was almost definitely disaster again. The cup defeat was incredibly hard to stomach and I'm very disappointed by the players, you can blame the manager all you want but the 11 he put out should have easily won that game, is there just too much pressure playing for us now? If we get pumped by Hearts on Sunday then I'll agree Clement should be gone but anyone that didn't realise this season would be pain is living with their heads in the clouds. We have some promising players who still have room to improve. Anyone who sees the bigger picture gets called a happy clapper though, the toxic minority is always the most vocal. And Dado the club shouldn't need to spell it out for people it was obvious this season was basically written off when they prioritised saving the long term future with massive wage cuts.
21.) 11 Feb 2025 09:01:35
Rabbi,
So you knee Jerking if we get defeated by Hearts?
22.) 11 Feb 2025 12:16:12
What would be knee jerking about it? If we capitulate and lose heavily to Hearts not only will it be beyond messy for the board it would show that the players have given up. There's nothing knee jerk about it. As hard as Sunday was, I look at Liverpool and see this stuff happens. If it happens 2 games in a row then that's completely different.
08 Feb 2025 10:50:07
Read somewhere this morning that PC wanted Cameron in Jan just Dundee wanted to much for him.
1.) 08 Feb 2025 11:34:32
Storm, I'm very sure Clement was talking about January 2024.
Just newly read the news you have received from the doctors, we love our run ins, but you take care mate.
2.) 08 Feb 2025 11:45:29
In his presser yesterday, PC said it was a club decision to wait until summer and it was a decision based on finances, so I reckon that sounds right, Strom.
3.) 08 Feb 2025 11:48:58
Storm, he said this in his interview, I posted last month Dundee wanted 900k and a sell on, Stewart said no.
I also feel Dundee cup tie him shifted the goal posts.
4.) 08 Feb 2025 11:57:24
Trying to chance their arm likely.
5.) 08 Feb 2025 12:14:07
In addition. i read he wanted him the last two Januarys.
6.) 08 Feb 2025 12:38:43
Cheers Mystar but I only wanted them to confirm it as I have knowing something not normal about me since I was a kid. It explains a lot at school and growing up. My work mates and my wife have been telling me for years I had it. Might explain why am an arse at times on here ? or I am just an arse full stop ?
Cheers guys
John with it going to a tribunal can they put a sell on clause into it for Dundee? I would hope they couldn't as that shouldn't be decided by them. I wouldn't pay 900k and a sell on either so think board have made right decision and rice etc… gets more game time.
7.) 08 Feb 2025 12:55:25
Right to wait until summer ??????.
8.) 08 Feb 2025 13:16:30
Also good that PC doesn't want Cameron to take the next 4 months off as he wouldn't be happy. It shows the mentality he has and expects it from his players even if they haven't joined us yet.
9.) 08 Feb 2025 14:10:22
I reckon Cameron is going to be a very surprising wee player for us. That boy can play ?.
10.) 08 Feb 2025 14:17:27
Agree Florida, 1 in 4 for Dundee is very good going.
11.) 08 Feb 2025 14:22:32
Very much so Mystar ?.
12.) 08 Feb 2025 14:54:43
Storm they should not be able to do it but they put in a sell on for Barron.
13.) 08 Feb 2025 16:20:06
Yeah not sure what's going on with you storm but really hope you get the answers you need mate. As I've posted many times my son is autistic and has a learning disability so I definitely know the struggles, good luck mate.
14.) 08 Feb 2025 16:36:36
Cheers John I thought they done it with Barron still don't know how it's allowed but nothing we can do about it.
Boyblue am totally fine bud nothing to worry about it all.
15.) 08 Feb 2025 18:51:40
Cool storm you know us boys got your back, no matter how much we might disagree on here mate. It's only football at the end of the day, real life struggles are another matter all together. Keep the head up.
16.) 08 Feb 2025 18:56:02
Cameron two goals and an assist today.
17.) 08 Feb 2025 20:33:08
How was arfield today John?
18.) 08 Feb 2025 20:49:26
John I think the sell on is automatic with players under a certain age moving within the same federation. Think it's non negotiable. Maybe they wanted a bigger sell on though?
19.) 08 Feb 2025 21:47:29
Storm he was good,
Cheers zikos. Did not know that.
20.) 09 Feb 2025 21:12:32
Finally th club doing business the right way
We've taken too many loses by paying for players when we could hav waited money we didn't really hav eif we were looking after clubs long term future
Money wasted paying out for players early for a few months of a league season that we all know is already gone is irresponsible.
21.) 09 Feb 2025 21:15:12
This might be dodgy but would there be a way of getting another club to buy the player then sell on to us a year later and avoid larger develope net fees like the on eaberdeen got for barron.
Especially if it's young players that might not go straight into our first team.
22.) 09 Feb 2025 21:18:03
I'm also quite OK with club slack of movement in this window I'd have maybe liked at least one winger but maybe they are confident on cortes (don't know why) but can understand it and now is time we want to develope or take a better look at our youth.
If we can even find two players for squad positions it will help us focus resources on where they are most needed.
23.) 09 Feb 2025 22:31:05
Think club are doing the right thing he will get more game time at Dundee and if we bring him in now it could hamper other players we want to give a chance.

19 Apr 2025 18:03:51
Jason I seen you pulled the old snobbery tag out on me which is utter BS the guys that we're on here at the time can tell you I was wanting us to buy lewis ferguson long before he left the sheep. I also want penrice from hearts. It's not snobbery that I don't want Scottish players that aren't good enough for Rangers IMO it's just common sense.
I hope that clears that up for you ?.
1.) 19 Apr 2025 18:42:47
Too late, you're now known as Snobtrooper.
2.) 19 Apr 2025 18:43:39
I would like Penrice as well storm.
3.) 19 Apr 2025 19:01:29
I as you know storm would also want us to sign james penrice from hearts and your absolutely spot on as you did continually say we should sign lewis ferguson when he was still with the sheep, whereas it was myself who thought he wasn't good enough for us and i hold my hands up on that one, as i was totally wrong ?.
4.) 19 Apr 2025 19:04:51
Storm, sorry is it ok if I call Storm. Always wondered is Lobster thermidor as good as it sounds and do you favour Rolls or Bentley. You looking for a driver anytime soon, i'm good at 3 point turns and reversing round a corner, old school. Competition on here will be fearce though, 3 cheers is so slick you would think yourr in a static caravan, Big Jim can iron shirts with less creases than a glass window.
5.) 19 Apr 2025 19:17:32
Mulligan as well Storm?.
6.) 19 Apr 2025 19:25:11
EHL excellent. snobtrooper may stick although he would spell it wrongly as well. ?.
7.) 19 Apr 2025 20:58:38
Ehl you can go off people very very quickly on here ?
Fair dos coops you did but nobody on here gets everything right.
Fork I forgot about him probably because John said he knocked us back twice.
Just don't like people calling stuff out when it's utter bs.
8.) 19 Apr 2025 22:10:26
Fork, do you get mulligans on this forum as well; if only I had known a while back
Storm keep doing what you do as it needs to be done.
9.) 19 apr 2025 22:18:27
ferguson will go down in my eyes as the captain we never had
he was virtually " taylormade" and born into it
terrible error imo.
10.) 19 Apr 2025 23:16:46
Cheers Angus
And TT I believe so as well but it is what it is.
18 Apr 2025 10:54:35
How I would love Knutsen to be our new manager Europa league semi final with a wage budget of 6 million is outstanding. I know it's been said it's unlikely with the direction the club is going but that is 100% the type of manager we need and have needed for a long time now.
1.) 18 Apr 2025 11:40:56
I would change the direction of the club in a heartbeat to get Knutsen as manager.
2.) 18 Apr 2025 11:53:13
Absolutely the manager we should be trying to entice to our club! The job he has done at Bodo is unreal and he plays a nice style to boot.
Not sure how it moves away from our direction though as we are now in a bring them in young and sell them which he is brilliant at. Just maybe having no say in transfers is what I guess you're eluding to.
3.) 18 Apr 2025 12:01:03
Last night was at times embarrassing. The number of our players defending within our penalty area was incredible and meant only one thing and that was when Bilbao went on attack they would continue attacking until ball went dead, as Rangers players were nearly all surrounded Kelly.
Rangers players must be embarrassed with their strips In all my years watching football I never saw a top disintegrating like Dressers with the slightest tug. Were Rangers provided with budget tops?
Season over by mid April, nothing to look forward to and certainly no £6m budget for new players in window.
4.) 18 Apr 2025 12:07:52
Knutsen has one of the best contracts in Europe.
He'll never leave them.
5.) 18 Apr 2025 12:51:17
I would as well MPH but don't think that will whole.
6.) 18 Apr 2025 13:18:11
Yoursperx (tim) you haven't got a clue how much cash will be available, players embarrassed with jerseys lol ? that 100% penalty for us charges that game,
7.) 18 Apr 2025 13:28:01
You must be easily embarrassed mate . For this team to even get to the quarter finals of a big European tournament is a huge compliment to them all. We don't have players anything like the level of Bilbao and with our defensive players getting injured and us having to rejog its hardly surprising we had to defend at times . Interesting that Kelly only had the one blocking save to make. have a guy like Nico Williams who will cost more than than our whole squad ( and possibly our whole club) .
We should have had a penalty last night and possibly a red card which could have put us 1 up against 10 men and the game would have changed, and a hand ball that was worse than the one given against Dujon last week . We were beaten by the better team but that's how close it was to being a different outcome. Nothing embarrassing.
8.) 18 Apr 2025 13:42:39
I agree storm that kjetil knutsen would be a superb appointment as our manager if we could get him ?.
9.) 18 Apr 2025 15:29:57
Wsl I agree entirely with what you say. I am proud of the club making the 1/ 4 finals and the game against Bilbao was a step too far and no embarassment in that.
I can actually see why people think Knutsen is good but look at our European record and we have made it out of the group every year since 2020/ 21, making a final 1 year and the 1/ 4s this year. that with a team and manager (whoever that was) that we rarely think are good enough. In that time Bodo have been in conference league each year until now making semi final as their best result. I could put forward the argument that they are now in the semis of the Europa as Knutsen has been given time and money to build a team to get to this level but will be prepared to be shot down.
The one thing I agree with is that Dessers strip was crap. It was an undeniable penalty but there wasn't a great deal of force used to rip it apart.
10.) 18 Apr 2025 15:49:14
Well said WSLGERS.
The FIFA managers love to bask in the glory of nights like Fenerbahçe or when we beat Celtic last month but their real passion is running down the club when things are not so good.
Who expected us to do so well in Europe when our whole club is rank (according to the experts)?
Why is it a surprise that we were well beaten by a far superior team with players that are not good enough to beat a poor SPL team?
When Gio was asked last night if he would consider a return to Ibrox as manager his response was a firm no because of the way he left. Our toxic fans forced him out by turning on him rather than supporting him - like Clement our weak board acted against continuity.
How long will our next manager get if it is not an instant turnaround with a 60% change to the squad?
I am surprised that BF has done so well as I did not rate him as a person but he has done as well as expected and gets my support for stepping up to the mark. Do I think he is the finished article or that he should be our next manager? Firm no but he does not deserve the crap from our so call supporters because he has not transformed an average group of players into world beaters.
11.) 18 Apr 2025 18:40:02
Clement should have been sacked long before he was.
17 Apr 2025 22:10:33
Souttar with a rash challenge (why I don't rate him he always has that in him and slow)
Tav can't mark once again. When will managers ever learn we need rid.
Now onto Barry I really hope tonight puts to bed anyone thinking he can be our next manager jefte left CH and Dio left back is just the most ridiculous decision there has ever been this season. He left it too late to bring on Danilo. I loved Barry as a player but he hasn't a hope in hell of ever being a permanent Rangers manager. How many times have we lost two goals in games since he became manager? Is it 7/ 8 times now.
This group of players not good enough and we need a full new defence and GK maybe two GK for next season.
We shout out to Nsaila who I thought
Done well when he came on should have been on for yilmaz.
Season is now over.
1.) 17 Apr 2025 22:23:27
Souttar unfortunately is our best CB at the moment.
2.) 17 Apr 2025 22:24:35
Poor communication again for the penalty.
Balogun was covering and on control of the situation.
It really is our downfall.
3.) 17 Apr 2025 22:26:45
Sorry but htf can it be a rash challenge when player blindsided him
He didn't make a challenge he was playing the ball
What game did you watch
Also tav comments after game just shows how arrogant he is "i would love to have barrg at ibrox next season as if its up to him or as if he has an auto right to even be there next season when he's been gash all season long
Sorry but tav is done and we are constanly seeing him give away goals by switching off in this manner its time for him to go.
4.) 17 Apr 2025 22:27:03
It was time dor him to go a year or two ago in fact.
5.) 17 Apr 2025 22:33:35
Seen challenges like Souttar's end up a foul for us, that has what was rash.
6.) 17 Apr 2025 22:37:00
Worst 2 players on the park tonight were Hagi, Dessers in my opinion, Barron wasn't the best when he came on either, Jefte needs loaned out my season.
7.) 17 Apr 2025 22:43:45
I think that's it for BF. As a Rangers supporter I wanted to see it work out for him. I've always said wait until end of the season before we give an honest opinion but I think the potential new owners will be looking elsewhere as that is our season officially over. Credit to Barry, Dodds and so for taking the job on until end of the the season. I'm sure they have cherished it. Let's see where this take over takes us. Onwards and upwards fellow bears. WATP ??.
8.) 17 Apr 2025 22:44:19
Cmac that's what worry's me about the defence.
Correct ehl.
FR I reply to you this once and this once only it was a rash challenge as he took the boy out.
9.) 17 Apr 2025 22:45:13
Of course tav wants barry he knows he will get kept. He should be first out the door.
10.) 17 Apr 2025 22:51:31
Mystar you would say haji was worst player on the park even if he wasn't. Jefte was miles worse than Haji. Loaned on for the season won't make him any better he's a dreadful defender.
11.) 17 Apr 2025 22:54:40
But was a penalty, still don't know why we didn't get one though different game if that's scored.
12.) 17 Apr 2025 23:13:26
As a former centre half I would have been raging if a penalty was awarded against me for that, imo. the player played for it, blindsided souttar and through a leg in front of him before flattening him.
There I said it.
13.) 17 Apr 2025 23:25:37
No issue with their penalty and the better team won over the two legs but the decision not to award us a penalty is one of the worst I've ever seen go against us considering var is in operation, if that's up the other end a penalty is given without question.
14.) 17 Apr 2025 23:52:54
Club deck he is only 21, Hagi was brutal tonight.
15.) 18 Apr 2025 00:33:43
You can say its a pen
Were you saying dessers onw with lagierback ahould have been chooped off mystar no.
Ill give credit to storm he did
When you watch it souttar does not even know the guys there he came feom blind side wasn't a tackle ao he wasn't being rash.
16.) 18 Apr 2025 00:56:25
Aorry but hagi was paired with jwfte who can't seem to link with anyone as passes all over the place.
11 Apr 2025 10:02:09
Forgot to add to my post how did young Bailey rice play last night guys?
1.) 11 Apr 2025 10:40:24
He started well storm and didn't look out of place, he was constantly showing for the ball. Such a shame he got injured but at least it's not serious as it looked nasty at the time.
2.) 11 Apr 2025 10:42:31
Storm he done well mate hopefully his head knock isn't very serious.
3.) 11 Apr 2025 10:50:41
That's good to hear guys.
4.) 11 Apr 2025 10:54:19
I was impressed with his time on the park, Storm.
5.) 11 Apr 2025 11:26:50
Like JFM says done well and always looking for the ball, didn't look lost our out of place. Don't think he went to hospital tho am I right in saying he stayed in the changing rooms? It was his neck and not his jaw?
6.) 11 Apr 2025 12:41:22
And big credit to ferguson for making some really tough calls.
7.) 11 Apr 2025 15:55:25
Played decent mate.
8.) 11 Apr 2025 16:31:08
He was good Storm, especially for an 18 year old against a decent side.
11 Apr 2025 09:58:37
Missed the game last night as down in fawley but by all account a fighting performance it's just a pity we haven't got that fight in spfl. Down here till Monday unfortunately so will miss weekends game also. I hope we put on another fighting performance.
1.) 11 Apr 2025 10:57:19
That's what is galling, Storm.
Never sure which set of players are going to turn up.
SPFL - a 10 men Rangers get beat.
EL - play out their skins.
2.) 11 Apr 2025 12:29:52
True storm but kinda understandable from a player point of veiw you want to stay fit for europe and league already gone. Plus we are pushing a few of them to exit so i can't see them putting fitness on the line in spfl games unfortunately.
Think we just need to accept that while we are in europe the league is about kweping thier fitness ticking over for european push
As soon as we are out/ if we go out then we should look at young players and likes of fernandes and find out as much as we can about these other relatively untried players to see who can step up for next season.
3.) 11 Apr 2025 15:16:14
Foreverrangers - NOT understandable. We're out of the league BECAUSE those spineless players don't fancy the battle they face in the league!
Stromtrooper1's rumour replies
19 Apr 2025 17:49:35
100% correct gdog don't understand how any Rangers fan would have him back it's utter madness.
19 Apr 2025 17:48:50
Yately it's my opinion is that not what this site is about and nothing will be done and people keep saying utter bs about managers. Takeover ain't complete and DOF or sporting director whatever you call him ain't in place yet.
I'll say this if S. G. comes back I will never be behind him because of the way the rat left and he will always be a rat to me.
19 Apr 2025 13:22:30
100% correct Ayrshire not that I get much info. But been too much depression in some new posters posts.
19 Apr 2025 13:20:01
SG ain't coming back.
19 Apr 2025 11:27:18
This is utter single fish, A Timmy with too much time on their hands. When they get asked they always come with die hard or bleeds blue pish.
Stromtrooper1's banter replies
19 Apr 2025 23:16:46
Cheers Angus
And TT I believe so as well but it is what it is.
19 Apr 2025 23:12:50
Stevie it wasn't a red card tho dessers was not denied a goalscoring opportunity. It was a pen but only a booking.
19 Apr 2025 20:58:38
Ehl you can go off people very very quickly on here ?
Fair dos coops you did but nobody on here gets everything right.
Fork I forgot about him probably because John said he knocked us back twice.
Just don't like people calling stuff out when it's utter bs.
19 Apr 2025 20:54:56
Weir isn't leaving Brighton.
19 Apr 2025 20:54:06
None to be fair time too look forward not back.
