By the sounds of it Kabadayi and Rrahmani will be in the door by the end of this week. With negotiations ongoing with Garcia and Galdames. On paper they look great, but time will tell.

YoungBlue2001

1.) 11 Jun 2024 20:29:00
Were also interested in Andrija Maksimovic of Red Star Belgrade.

2.) 11 Jun 2024 20:35:00
In all honestly I’ve not seen any of these guys play but if the management team want them then I’m all for it. Garcia appears to come with a bit of a reputation and the big German boy has 8 caps for the under 21’s so I’m sure there must be something there.

3.) 11 Jun 2024 21:11:05
Bebold we can't sign that boy till next year so doubtful we waste cash on him the now.

4.) 12 Jun 2024 15:40:23
Bebold he looks like a quality young player though

Think we will be at back of long line of clubs for this player.

06 Jun 2024 12:16:06
Does anyone know if we're revisiting Marko Bulat this window? Or was there never interest in the first place.

YoungBlue2001

1.) 06 Jun 2024 12:24:31
Looks like he signed an improved contract in January.

2.) 06 Jun 2024 12:26:48
Think the talk was he would cost 4-5m quid I think we will maybe spend that on a striker and a CB I think all the other signings will be frees, loans or maybe signings like Garcia and galdames only 6 month left on their deals so a cut fee.

3.) 06 Jun 2024 13:17:03
“4-5m quid I think we will maybe spend that on a striker” - Rangers already have a 20+ goal a season striker in Dessers with Danilo yet to come back. Danilo is a £6m Brazilian who won the title in Holland just before he signed for Rangers. These are two players that cost £10m and are more than good enough for the SPFL. I would be shocked if Rangers were to spend big on a third striker this summer. In fact, I’d hope we kept hold of Lovelace and actually gave him a chance as third choice striker.

Goldson has dropped off and a new CB is certainly needed. Jack and Lundstrum have just left and so at least one new CM is needed. Sima and Silva have left so I would suspect at least one more wide player that can score goals will be targeted.

As much as Rangers fans go on about buying a striker I actually don’t think it’s a priority position this summer. The wide players, and their lack of output, is of much greater concern. If Rangers had better wide players that were contributing goals they would have won the title at a canter. That big hole in midfield is of greater concern.

Rangers need to bring in 3-4 players this summer that are good enough to walk in to any team in this country including Celtic. That would be a CB, CM, and two goal scoring wide players for me. If you spend £4m on a striker then you simply end up with a situation whereby Dessers and Danilo are on the bench (£10m of player assets), while Scott Wright and McAusland are still plying regularly.

4.) 06 Jun 2024 13:30:49
Right we will see then won’t we.

5.) 06 Jun 2024 13:33:56
Generic, noone knows how Danilo will be this season after being out so long and whilst Dessers has a 20+ goal season in him he can be hit and miss as seen elsewhere. No matter how much they cost we need a prolific striker as well as the rest in my opinion.

6.) 06 Jun 2024 14:32:26
Replacing sima is the biggest one 16 goals which woulda been way more if he didn't pick up his injury Dessers and Danilo have 30goals between them. We need atleast another 2 wingers 3 if one of the current leave.

7.) 06 Jun 2024 16:48:37
Sima permo is a must.

8.) 06 Jun 2024 16:56:30
Generic- Another TRUE clinical striker IS required - Dessers and co were given unlimited chances this year and many chances went a begging so to progress we need someone who can score the easy chances as well as the difficult - therefore 3 good strikers need for rotation IMO- They had Oh, Kyogo and Idah all who knew where the net was.

9.) 06 Jun 2024 18:54:32
I get the view we need a goalscorer. The little we seen of Danilo he seemed good but also looks like hell miss a fair few. I do agree though, the pot ain’t bottomless and I’d say Sima is the priority signing for that other wide man. Then the cm we’ll need to fill. That’s before w talk about players leaving who will then need replaced.

10.) 06 Jun 2024 19:21:49
Oh? Prolific? Aye Oh-k.

11.) 06 Jun 2024 20:22:22
Reality is that we have 3 strikers on the books - Dessers, Danilo and Lammers.

So doubt we'll spend anything on a striker unless / until we sell one, two or three of the current forwards.

12.) 06 Jun 2024 20:37:14
I really wouldn't be surprised if we saw Danilo move out to the LW and Rrahmani play through the middle with dessers as backup.

13.) 06 Jun 2024 22:22:03
EHL dessers and lammers will be gone. Nobody is taking danilo aftee the injury.

14.) 07 Jun 2024 15:22:24
Agree EHL think it’s a safe bet someone will bid for lammers.

15.) 07 Jun 2024 15:26:37
I’m not dessers biggest fan but if we sell him right now we are making same mistakes as last season unless it’s a decent fee

You don’t know if danillo will recover or recapture form

You don’t know if new player coming in will be better than dessers

My point being you don’t get rid of first team starters before new players have proved their worth unless it’s a very good offer money back or above I’d say a player like dessers or some else stats would look a lot better too if taking pens which could happen. If tav goes.

Rumours are Goldson is going to Bolton and Ryan Jack is signing a new deal. Is there any truth in these?

YoungBlue2001

1.) 31 May 2024 21:52:31
I heard Jack had signed a new 1 year deal a few weeks back.

2.) 31 May 2024 22:06:27
he only plays about 4 games a season.

3.) 31 May 2024 22:13:02
Goldson will get a better club than Bolton.

4.) 31 May 2024 22:15:28
I know someone mentioned a few weeks ago that we could be signing someone to excite the fans, is that possibly Greenwood?

5.) 31 May 2024 22:20:48
Ahh honestly, if Jack signs a new deal, then I’m worried about this transfer window. I thought we’d be getting these injury ridden players away?

Dead certainty to get injured again next season. I want these players gone. I like Jack but we know he’ll break down. I hope this window goes well because I’m not too keen on any of the players we’re linked with. Except from maybe Troare and Rrhamani and possibly Galdames. I wasn’t bothered when Cordoba didn’t want to come. I thought he looked like a scare, although the Bulgarians will disagree.

I wonder how much is really available for players. I don’t think it will be anywhere near what people hope. That’s just a feeling tho and hope I’m wrong. I hope PC gets actually enough to at least make it his team. They did back Beale, but when big Phil said he had to use some of the summer budget to bring in Dio, it made me wonder how much they really have. I hope I’m just being paranoid tbh.

6.) 31 May 2024 23:06:34
No truth In any of them.

7.) 31 May 2024 23:20:49
i might be wrong here, bit how could bolton afford his wage never mind buying him, he still has a year left on contract does he not?

8.) 31 May 2024 23:29:42
Stories have been circulating re Jack. Hope not,

9.) 31 May 2024 23:46:59
Can't see us anywhere near greenwood. Don't want him near us either.

10.) 01 Jun 2024 00:06:49
Phantom really has caught a few people out hasn't he with his tweets.

11.) 01 Jun 2024 00:23:26
Goldson to Bolton and we are signing Greenwood both came from the great scotch source that is Phantom on twitter.

12.) 01 Jun 2024 01:15:45
There’s no danger Jack stays on. I’d he does we have big problems. They need to replace him with either Barron, Miller or Watson
I’m fully confident whoever Jack goes to that he’ll play a full season with no injuries though knowing our luck.

13.) 01 Jun 2024 07:32:37
Mccrorie swap with Watson.

14.) 01 Jun 2024 07:47:58
I'd posted I heard jack was offered a new deal and no1 has offered near our value of goldson so both could very well be here.

15.) 01 Jun 2024 08:14:09
Both can GTF. NO WAY WE RESIGN JACK.

16.) 01 Jun 2024 08:16:58
RFC what team could he get that’s better?

17.) 01 Jun 2024 08:50:40
Have a bit of respect Defraz regarding Ryan Jack ?Fair enough saying you wouldn't agree if he got a new deal but saying that about a rangers player who gives everything for rangers and has been hampered with injury issues, which i'm sure he's very downbeat about, is not appropriate pal!

18.) 01 Jun 2024 08:55:36
Just passing what I've heard but apparently we're giving Jack a new 1 Yr deal as compensation for our medical staff misdiagnosing his injury.

Not sure I believe it myself but it wouldn't surprise me if.

19.) 01 Jun 2024 09:47:43
John27 that would be a great move for both parties.

20.) 01 Jun 2024 11:09:52
Jack has just been let go - sky sports.

21.) 01 Jun 2024 11:11:16
Borna Jack lunny Roofe and McLauglin bye bye.

22.) 01 Jun 2024 19:07:47
Why does anyone think we will get a fee for Goldson? nobody wanted him as a free agent who is going to want him a year older and his condition.

I’m afraid he’s still going to be at rangers unless we ask him to leave or let him walk for nothing.

17 May 2024 14:35:50
Is there any truth in the Adama Traore links? Allegedly, it's us, Fulham and SK Sturm Graz.

YoungBlue2001

1.) 17 May 2024 15:51:26
I believe so, but it’s not the Adama Traore that played for Wolves, he plays for Ferencvaros.

2.) 17 May 2024 16:45:22
Have you seen his injury history? Yip, just our type of player. Honestly, if this is true (emphasis on If), then I give up.

3.) 17 May 2024 16:54:12
28 been out most of the season with injury so sounds like he will be our guy.

4.) 17 May 2024 17:00:02
Good, because he would just be another wage stealer looking for a contract to end his career. We need young, hungry to impress players that we can make a profit on.

5.) 17 May 2024 17:16:43
This guys goal contributions to games numbers are great however only being available for 25 percent of the season due to injury is not the road we can really be going down over and over again surely.

6.) 17 May 2024 18:11:26
No concrete link but already giving up? ?.

7.) 17 May 2024 18:32:10
I certainly hope not. He’s under contract about to turn 29 and been injured half the season. Thankfully I think koepen and clement are smarter than that.

8.) 17 May 2024 18:45:59
25% still beats some of ours coully.

9.) 17 May 2024 19:08:56
That's why I put the emphasis on 'IF', Einstein! Too easy! ?.

10.) 17 May 2024 19:26:54
He is another who was on beales shortlist. Lazy journalism i think.

14 May 2024 13:59:45
Anything in the Dave King majority rumours? Or is that just made up?

YoungBlue2001

1.) 14 May 2024 16:09:31
Nonsense.

2.) 14 May 2024 14:58:19
Debunked by H&H thankfully.

26 May 2024 21:15:32
Just seen from Scotland's Coefficient on X that if we were to progress to the CL group stage through the qualifiers we actually get more prize money compared to Celtic, due to the prize money from the playoff rounds. We're also due an easier route due to Benfica automatically qualifying, gives us at least some optimism heading into next season.

YoungBlue2001

1.) 26 May 2024 21:23:55
Atalanta top 4 means we're seeded in quali and play offs, just post similar on rumours page.

2.) 26 May 2024 21:42:40
We seem a long way off of qualifying for the Champions League mate at this point but as you say it’s interesting stats all the same??.

3.) 26 May 2024 22:10:32
Any idea who our potential opponents would be?

4.) 26 May 2024 22:55:41
It’s slightly easier but not anywhere near easy 1st round we play in could be kiev union st fernabache twente.

Next round is red bull Salzburg.

5.) 27 May 2024 07:26:45
Nothing is easy in europe guys ?.

6.) 27 May 2024 07:35:06
Also brugge won there league last night whuch would hav also seeded us.

7.) 27 May 2024 10:50:49
1 game at a time eh we don’t have auto right to beat anyone.

14 May 2024 22:35:46
I think that presser shows that PC gets it! As angry as I've seen him and is clearly fed up with the mentality of some players, we saw tonight in the second half that they can play, why haven't they shown that over the last 5 or 6 games.

YoungBlue2001

1.) 15 May 2024 01:46:55
Combination of the pressure being off and the much needed energy of younger players with mobility.

2.) 15 May 2024 06:56:46
Many players thrive on pressure - most of our players shrink and hide under pressure - mentality change is a big thing but let's face it those who shrink and hide need to be gone - hopefully that will be the case for next season.

3.) 15 May 2024 09:30:03
was there no pressure last night?

losing two goals to Dundee like that and potentially giving Celtic the title last night.

PC must of had a good half time team talk plus the use of the young players (not to mention Cantwell not getting battered every time he touched the ball in the second half. )

Did the conditions play a factor, did Dundee run out of gas in the second half? who knows but hopefully Killie can do a miracle tonight and put the pressure on that mob. See what happens.

4.) 15 May 2024 09:47:23
All agreed on that. What the game proved to me is that Clement is still in charge. After surgery in the summer, we will be a new team. Confidence and self-belief is what we lack more than anything. As Postecoglu is showing at Spurs, there are disappointments along the way but we have a promising manager. Give him time.

5.) 15 May 2024 10:52:21
ALLY - The real pressure was when we were in front in league and lost to Mwell -Ross Cty and drawing with Dundee - not talking about winning a game to delay them the title - massively different degrees of pressure IMHO and pray tell me where we bottled it - weeks ago was the answer when REAL pressure was on and we s*** the bed.

05 May 2024 15:57:46
We can't afford to play a midfield 2 next week. We need to overload that midfield and control the tempo of the game. I would prefer to see a flat 3 with diomande, Raskin and sterling in the middle. Energy, quality and can play direct. But we all know it will be Lundstram and Diomande with Cantwell as a 10. It's tough times.

YoungBlue2001

1.) 05 May 2024 16:14:53
Cantwell and Raskin should be nowhere near the team next week.

2.) 05 May 2024 16:21:10
Lawrence should be in before Cantwell imo- more of direct goal threat who is not afraid to have a dig - and gut feeling is next week we need to score 1st.

3.) 05 May 2024 16:29:01
Don’t think he will Blue, he was given the nod ahead of Cantwell and was poor the last game at Ibrox against them, the pace he struggled with, he might be a better option in the second half.

4.) 05 May 2024 16:46:53
TL did score a great goal today but he has done nothing to suggest he starts in the majority of games he has played this season.

5.) 05 May 2024 16:46:54
Although his performances are generally good ( i thought he was motm today) Lundstrum generally abandons the midfield and for large chunks of the game plays like a CB. He’s done that with Gio, MB and now PC. If they can’t change the way he plays then maybe we have to change the system to suit, and maybe play him as a sweeper and get another midfielder into the team.

We should be dominating the midfield in n most games but we rarely do and I think that’s mostly down to only having 1 man in there bs the opposition 3.

6.) 05 May 2024 19:05:48
Totally agree 72 bear. The two of them should be nowhere our team. Both flatter to deceive.

18 Apr 2024 08:16:04
I'm just curious, why is Raskin not getting a game. Lundstram is not the type of player you want being your deep lying playmaker, at least with Raskin he turns and wants to play forward and quickly and always struck up a good partnership with Cantwell. I know people want big changes for the rest of the games but I doubt it's going to happen. Personally, I would want to see Sterling go at RB and if Tav has to play I would push him further forward in a winger position. At least that way we have someone who would hog the touchline and spread the pitch instead of staying narrow.

YoungBlue2001

1.) 18 apr 2024 10:57:28
coz he's as poor as the rest . poorer maybe.

09 Apr 2024 08:06:52
Would love to get people's opinion on this. I know that we have an option to buy Sima but in case that doesn't happen. I think Jonathan Rowe at Norwich would be the perfect type of player we would want. 20 years old, can play on both wings and as a 10 and currently has 14 goals in the championship. Could probably get him for the same amount as Sima, or maybe a little more. What's people's thoughts?

YoungBlue2001

1.) 09 apr 2024 08:14:41
not vertain we do have an option to buy sima mate.

2.) 09 Apr 2024 09:16:41
Why would we sign a player who we don't know how he'll perform in our league over someone who's absolutely dominating it? The reality is Rowe probably now as a young English player doing well in the championship has a significantly higher value than Sima. Alex Scott for example.

3.) 09 Apr 2024 09:16:44
Hopefully we can do a deal for Sima in the summer.

4.) 09 Apr 2024 09:37:01
Is big Davie Weir not the D. O. F at Brighton? Hopefully do us a deal.

5.) 09 apr 2024 10:18:31
absolutely dominating it,

6.) 09 Apr 2024 10:56:15
Would like Sima and Cortes signed along with one other and Matondo.

7.) 09 Apr 2024 13:12:22
Matondo flatters to deceive and unless he can show his ability in the remaining matches I'd be looking to move him on.

8.) 09 Apr 2024 13:22:03
Clement and coaching staff are improving Matondo can't see him being sold ows, he's a very handy player and shown he will improve, best finish I've seen in an old firm game for many a year.

9.) 09 Apr 2024 15:45:27
I’ve slated matondo over and over for not being good enough but if a player is being improved then I’m all for it. He is clearly capable just getting consistency when he starts games is required.

Sima and Cortes would be two great signings and I would like sima right and Cortes left, both capable of swapping sides, better finisher for the 9 and I’ll be happy.

Gers78, I get your concern but if we want to be aggressive in our style of play you need CB's who can play and are mobile, there are not many tall cb's who are mobile and can play who are in our price budget. We also have a keeper who is good and claiming crosses so it does in a way address that.

Walter, out of the 3 I would go for Knutsen. I think potter is a good coach but I don't think his style suits our league, might do well in Europe, but I remember watching brighton when he was manager and he likes the 3 at the back but always played in a low block and his way of attacking was a direct ball to his forward.

Fair point John and Mark I just think it would make sense to get a DOF in first so that whatever manager takes over from Beale, they are both on the same wavelength in regards to how the team plays and the profile of players we need, rather than just hiring someone with no clear direction of where we want to go.
