Devine is pish he played about 3 games and looked average but apparently never let us down ? he done nothing lol let him go on loan to actually play and improve. These average young boys aren’t going to win us the league they couldn’t win the highland league but as usual we make them out great players because they come threw the academy.

If we are getting rid of people for playing pish in 3 games then a lot of the current squad would be gone including Raskin who hasn`t kicked a ball all season . Because he was bought we are supposed to give him time that we don`t give our own boys.

Like Devine also, was positive in possession, showed great positional awareness and wasn't afraid of a tackle or two. Also, as Borna gets it tight when he's not at it, credit where it's due. Thought he had a good game verses Motherwell, overcooked a couple of crosses but did a power of running and put his body on the line for a fair few tackles. thought it was brave performance.

One of the things that impressed me with Devine playing on the wrong side was that he was prepared to go wide, not just cut back on his right foot . He put in some decent balls though maybe not to Barisics standard . I hope the boy has been putting in some real practice on his left foot because being able to play both sides would be a big asset.

Well as much as the draw keeps us in it, I think that performance, especially the 1st half, was so much worse than we could imagine. The line up worried me and the performance shocked me.
Tav, horrendous but great pen. Basically asked Maeda if he can jump in his pocket. Goldson, either playing injured or fell off a cliff. Move him on. Souttar ok and Sterling played well for LB replacement.
Diomande took it right from Kenny Miller was ok for 1st OF and Lundstrum was decent but looks tired.
Wright, move him on. Lawrence poor and Silva too busy playing up. Dessers work his socks off and had zero support.
Wow, we need plenty of good summer business and most of that is to get rid of players. There is some good in there, but for me, 1 or 2 attack minded players needed and the rest goes on defence.

I think yesterday highlighted a few things most are aware of (or becoming so quickly) .
1. We are light in regards certain positions. As clearly Sterling’s best position is not LB and clearly we did not like the alternative. Others (midfielders) looked tired and we need an ability to rotate. That players like Raskin appear to have disappeared is a worry.
2. Whilst I think the balance was wrong in 1st half, I am impressed that PC has the tactical nous not only to make the right adjustments, but clearly has developed respect from his players and his half time messages got across.
3. We ARE overly nervous in this fixture and constantly seem to be playing catch up. That is an area again I’m sure PC will work on for Parkhead.
Overall we got out of jail, can get back to the summit this week, then it’s foots to the pedal for the rest of the games, and hopefully by next Old Firm we’ll have a few more back and closer to 100%.

So let’s look at the last 10 games, just before we get 1 game at a time posts at least.
2 old firms, so we’ll take that out. Clearly we need to at least match them for points.
They have hearts as potentially tricky then lower league opposition until the split. We’ve got Dundee going for top 6 away and hibs at home but nothing we shouldn’t be winning. Relatively equal in terms of difficulty until the split.
After the split we have 2 away and 2 home, taking Celtic out of it. Hearts away and Killie at home. They have the opposite.

Typically they use a bottom team ie 6th place. Right now 6th is between hibs and Dundee. Hibs take 6th then we’re due to be away to them anyway. Dundee get it then we’ll be due to play them at home but would play them away to ensure we finish 19 home and away.

Interesting PC said we’ll need to wait and see if Cortes did get injured or was tired (not word for word) certainly looked like he pulled up. Losing him even for a strain leaves us quite stretched for options, obviously doesn’t affect Benfica but will the fixtures either side.

Big dado, Goldson was free that was just about away. We saved £3-£4m+ at the time in a replacement so wages already over 3+ years is fine. Wages, signing fees and transfers are all together now. Players that sign on frees can and do look for higher signing fees, rangers saved cash that year by spreading.

What I would say is I’d expect some form of a budget for the next 3 years minimum but results now to end of the season heavily impacting funds available for summer so makes sense we’re unsure what we currently have left with take/ have to take option to buy the two Jan signings.
