Righty, on Tav so I know this is going to get some disagreement but.
Being fair, we should all recognize the fantastic job he's done for us over the years, the times he's been the only one dragging us forward and having a go, the times he's stepped up with a brilliant free kick or a sweet cross to pull us out of a loss or draw. We can also all see that he hasn't been at his best for a while. Fair enough so far?
It seems to me that we've been so reliant on him running into space and doing his stuff on the right wing for so long that when he's off it, it makes a huge difference in how we perform. The Dundee game shows us that when our left wing does it's stuff and they were excellent btw, if a bit unlucky, that the pressure on Tav to do Tav things is lessened and he actually had a good game. So yeah, maybe he isn't the same dynamic player of a couple of years ago but with less pressure on him to push us forward, he can still contribute a lot this season and be a proper asset.
Thoughts?
1.) 22 Sep 2024 12:22:42
Agree with a lot of what you say but still yesterday, he almost gifted them a goal with a ludicrous blind backpass.
2.) 22 Sep 2024 12:31:31
He'll cost is in every celtic game that he plays.
3.) 22 Sep 2024 12:52:54
he may cost us in celtic games but does that mean we right him off for all the other ones. if there was better than him then PC should play them or double up on that wing for celtic games. that's what we used to do with threats put 2 men on him.
4.) 22 Sep 2024 13:33:26
Better opposition would have took advantage of tav mistakes yesterday and I’m not feeling the whole Trent AA copy tactic we are trying to do with him either…needs replaced.
5.) 22 Sep 2024 13:40:36
Of course it means he should be written off. If he's costing us goals every time we play our biggest rivals rivals.
6.) 22 Sep 2024 14:15:02
Goal and assist yesterday but he’s definitely still past it for me.
7.) 22 Sep 2024 14:19:19
We can't put two players on him to cover for Tav. We would then be exposed elsewhere against their quality. Why don't we just do the common sense thing and replace Tav.
Who cares what he does against the rest. What he does against Celtic is the most important and is what will give us a chance at winning the league. Has there ever been a season where we have won the league and not taken anything in the old firm games?
8.) 22 Sep 2024 14:34:45
Hmmmmmmm! Let me think about that one! So, geesa, he costs us everytime we play our biggest rivals, who just incase you have forgotten, we have been unable to beat in a meaningful game since April 22, And you think we shouldn't write him off?! Yip, you know what you're talking about, eh?! ?.
9.) 22 Sep 2024 15:04:30
Sunshine every game against them is meaningful. No old firm game is ever not meaningful.
10.) 22 Sep 2024 15:16:11
Oh dear! ????.
11.) 22 Sep 2024 15:22:08
to be clear, i do think its time for him to go, but the bashing he gets is untrue. guess noone bashing him was at the game yesterday since he was applauded when he came off. or maybe our fans are just becoming polite.
12.) 22 Sep 2024 15:54:46
We need to replace
His assists has the most in our team once again wile being off it.
13.) 22 Sep 2024 15:58:10
If I'm being honest, he's not as bad as some are making out, but as soon as he's up against the tims, his arse drops and he has an absolute nightmare. It's all very well playing OK against the likes of dundee, but when we need him in the big games, he turns into a quivering wreck and he has a mare.
14.) 22 Sep 2024 21:30:23
Sunshine you've hit the nail on the head.
In addition, other players look to their capt in times of adversity. If his arse has collapsed, what does that do to them?
Great servant. Still got something to offer as a squad player but if we want to get the upper hand back in O.F. games, he's not your man.
15.) 23 Sep 2024 12:35:51
I think we are just asking for Rangers to do what Celtic do to us. how many times does one of our team get 1-2-1 against Taylor; very rarely as they swarm around us like flies. If Taylor or Johnston gets forward then McGregor gets across to cover and Maeda and Kyogo even sprint back 30 yards to help and cover. we don't so that we leave our FBs 1 on 1 and even 2 on 1 at times and expect them to get it sorted. both our FBs always seem to react late when the ball comes across, remember Barisic and Abada. So how do we stop the ball at source or get our FBs to be more alert. Sitting on McGregor in cup final really worked as they couldn't find their frontmen so do we do that every OF game; just get Sterling to sit on him and that is it. also if we want our FBs to get forward then someone needs to be ready to cover the long diagonal. we never have managed to do that in any game.
A different player may do it better, by sitting back but we lose the forward element then.

Wanted to say well done to Morton for making a game of it. Would have preferred being more dominant but just goes to show, when you're out there on the pitch, you're not playing against stats and you're not playing against salaries, you're playing against men. Men with the added motivation of being able to tell their grand-kids some day about the time they skelpt the Rangers. Was a good lesson that game, shows where we need to put the work in. Would love us to be a bit braver going forward. We see it with other teams all the time, very little possession but when they get it, 3 passes and they're having a go. Feel the lads don't trust each other yet.

4.) 29 Jun 2023 14:26:20
Kirk broadfoot.
5.) 29 Jun 2023 17:33:21
As CB's- Jack Hendry, Scott McKenna, Kerr Smith
Others - Lewis Fiorini, John Fleck, Ross Stewart, Josh Doig, Lewis Ferguson, Siriki Dembele.
6.) 29 Jun 2023 17:45:10
Bluerunner i know a couple of ex player's that rave about that man city lad Lewis Fiorini, I've never seen him play but looks like another cracking player for Scotland very soon.
7.) 29 Jun 2023 18:16:45
Beale Forini is a tremendous player.
In all seriousness Scotland could have a very very good future in next few years.
A pity age wise doak dire mebude and Wilson a wee bit behind.
8.) 29 Jun 2023 18:45:50
It's looking very much like it John, You ever seen Tommy Conway play? hearing the same about him mate.
9.) 29 Jun 2023 19:34:31
Yes, if you refer to Bristol city lad.
England desperately trying to get him back in England set up.
We should get him a competitive cap against Cyprus, give him a minute, tie him up.
10.) 29 Jun 2023 22:14:18
Yes that's him John.
11.) 29 Jun 2023 22:37:32
I agree john, heard good things.
20 Jun 2021 02:15:28
Hey guys, Scotland related. Assuming scotland beats the croats 2-0 and England get beat 1-0, we'll be on the same points and goal diff. Who goes through?
1.) 20 Jun 2021 05:19:11
Hopefully both would qualify depending on the other groups as the best 3rd placed teams from 4 of the 6 groups qualify. If we were very unlucky not to get a 3rd place then I would imagine England would take the 2nd group place and qualify because their game v the Czecks they only lost 1-0 to them and we lost 2-0. Which knowing Scotland could may well happen and we miss qualifying by a bawhair. Fingers crossed the other groups 3rd placed teams finish on 3 pts at least 2 of them anyway and both us and England would qualify on 4pts and that scenario wouldn't matter.
2.) 20 Jun 2021 07:48:14
I think England will show up and take 2/ 3 off Czechs. We just need to concentrate on Croatia game let the rest take care of itself. If we play the way we did against the English we will beat Croatia. Their ageing team is on the down.
3.) 20 Jun 2021 09:02:02
Deemc22
Don’t underestimate Croatia they still have a lot of quality players and were unlucky not to beat the Czechs. Scotland played well on Friday however we still don’t have a player of the quality of Modric and they have more clinical players up front.
4.) 20 Jun 2021 09:48:41
Yes they are still a very dangerous team Biffo but they ain't what they used to be. We won't be underestimating their ability but we have a very good chance if our team plays to our ability then I'm confident we can get a result.
Fingers crossed as this is the biggest game of our teams life and I hope the boys are up for the challenge.
5.) 20 Jun 2021 12:45:27
Who thinks our lads will lose out something silly, like goal difference or another teams result against same opposition.
Wouldn't be Scotland if we didn't take the hard road.
6.) 20 Jun 2021 13:46:59
It wouldn't surprise me if we done the hard part and beat Croatia and not make it.
At least our ancestors invented whisky for those types of situations. 🥃😢.
7.) 20 Jun 2021 15:06:22
Three cheers if we beat Croatia we will be through.
8.) 20 Jun 2021 15:34:01
I would hope so John but its not a certainty as we would need other results to go in our favour.
9.) 20 Jun 2021 20:32:33
Any win against Croatia should get us through, my only fear is who is getting us a goal? Hopefully with Croatia needing the win it will create some space for us, tho I think our best chance of a goal is from a dead ball.

New image uploaded to the
Rangers Player Sightings page entitled, Lennon wearing a poppy
1.) 18 Nov 2020 18:44:27
Think the man should be applauded for wearing it when his horrible club members/ players wont. Begining to think he maybe agent lenon sent to destroy them from within.
2.) 18 Nov 2020 22:22:48
Wearing what? What man?
3.) 19 Nov 2020 00:35:06
55rangers, applauded, wtf,20 year to late, roughly.
4.) 19 Nov 2020 14:29:36
I agree 55 but to many people blinded by hate.
20 Sep 2024 15:11:55
Angus, respect brov, I get your point but see it different. His original tax bill was tripled, he refused to pay it and went to court, the case was settled for near the original amount demanded. I'd call that a win mate.
20 Sep 2024 02:57:26
Gets a bit silly here sometimes with people having a go without doing the research. Kings problems in SA stem from a tax bill. He had a written agreement with the tax authorities for x-amount, they then turned around and demanded 3 times the amount. He decided to fight it and rightly so imho. The courts are not exactly unbiased here, there or anywhere. As for court cases here, King has been practically alone in his willingness to fight on rangers behalf. You can think him decisive and a trouble maker if you like, I don't see him that way. It's not an ego thing, it's a willingness to do the hard stuff and I for one appreciate it. Btw, what's wrong with wanting to safeguard the club and become a rangers hero? People, and no disrespect meant to anyone, seem to be having a go at him for wanting things to improve. I don't get it.

Angus and Fork, tepër qesharake. E luajtur mirë.

McMinn, that sounds like something a witch lover would say. Just keep your head down and go with the group. ?.
03 Jul 2024 03:17:08
Long thread this one with plenty of impassioned opinions. It's like every potential signing, we won't know until we give it a go, however Shanks is someone I think could be crucial to our team.
People talk about his lack of pace and also point out hearts don't face the low block every game (not picking on anyone here) . Fair enough so where does his goals come from? Playing for hearts he either has space to run in to and scores plenty (requiring pace btw) or he doesn't?
I agree he doesn't possess blistering pace, he's nippy enough but his style isn't really about that, it's about reading the game, being first to react, stealing a yard and getting a shot off. That is the polar opposite of big Dessers, who I actually like, but frustrates outa me as he's a hard working pro who never gives up but needs to slow things down and settle himself before taking a shot. We need, with the amount of opportunities we get in and around the box, someone who just knows where to be, create an opening, know where the goal is and shoot on sight.
That guy is Shankland.
03 Oct 2024 14:35:09
Been needing changed for ages, the guys in charge have proven often that they haven't a clue though so don't hold your breath bud. You can understand that before, the old firm has been perceived as the only show in town and the governing body has leveraged it by restricting the league and maximizing the amount of games between us but the tv deal is so low now, we have to look at an alternative structure that hopefully brings on the game and makes the league more attractive.
23 Sep 2024 04:08:04
You fire in Angus. nae bother brother.
27 Aug 2024 14:35:59
Na man. No harm to him but he looks the spit of the Lego muncher to me.
13 Aug 2024 12:19:13
Nobody else said it Wishy so I will. You're a bam and possibly also a raj. ; )
13 Aug 2024 12:16:19
I'm with you coopers da, think wee macCausland will do well with us this season. Every game he gets at least 1 or 2 chances to cut in from the left and aim a curler into the far post. It hasn't come of yet but it's always a whisker away from a worldy. He'll come good.
