Usual source says Shankland talk is not true, looking at a far higher level of player for that position. Loan deal may be more likely for that one but with a fee agreed for the summer.

Matondo and Yilmaz have been told they're free to leave but only if their valuations are metZ.

At the price Hearts would want, Shankland is too old. He is clearly an excellent players by SPFL Standards however under Clement I suspect that we will be aiming higher.

the price is the thing john, i feel clement wants a high quality striker and would be agreeable to shanks too,
if the right deal, i think we need 2 up front because danillo coud take firever and imo is not prolific, dessers is a grafter but not quality finisher, and ammers is struggling, we know all about roofe, and loveace may make it may not

we definitely need 2 strikers,

Merry Christmas all. If we can get Shankland for no more than £2m, fair enough. If not, I would let it be known that we’re keen and wait 12 months to get him on a pre-contract, provided his form remains good. This is my view based on the info from CF5 and John, for which I thank them both.

Don’t go along with Shankland being overweight thoughts, the boy is all muscle and has used it to suit his game especially in hold up play, no defender in the SPL will shrug him off the ball.

If Clemont wants Shankland he might have too wait till summer, be half the price unless there is some sort of deal with Shankland saying he only leaving for us and no one else, possibly something in his contract letting him leave at a certain price, don’t think the manager came here without assurances to get his own players in tho and with the start he’s had a think the board will try everything to get him the players to win the title.

Lammers, dessers and Danilo are all better than Van Veen. I'd go as far as to say Danilo is better than Shankland and it wouldn't surprise me if Dessers ends the season with more goals than Shanks. I like Shankland but he's nit much if a step up in standard.
