If clement wants tav to stay and keep the fans happy play him in midfield and that’s my opinion.

He hasn’t got the legs to play midfield, tav is a right back. Moving him to a winger or midfielder isn’t going to work and isn’t going to happen. Sterling is strong, athletic and good at defending which is why he can play midfield and I like him playing there but even he was out of his depth against celtic.

Correct Tav. I think we just need to have the Eds do a poll every week so fans can choose who they want to play and where. save on cost of manager and get what we want. I vote Butland for centre forward. he's tall and good in the air ?.

Not sure manager is desperately keen to keep Tav at all costs. Sounds more like he feels a ready made replacement is needed, which means he doesn’t necessarily see those currently on the books as RB/ RWB… not sure I agree, but then again why PC paid the big bucks.

The problem trying to move Tav into midfield is that at the moment most of our midfielders are finding it difficult enough to do their own job, without having to help out Tav whose legs are gone . Allowing Tav to attack whilst the right sided midfielder drops in towards right back, may work.

The time of moving tav forward is over he’s lost that much legs he would get caught in possession constantly when receiving ball facing our goal more. Maybe we don’t have the long term replacement in but we definitely have better than current Tav and again the toxicity will increase to levels of untenable if we have to watch tav shot the bed v Celtic again.

Why don`t we play Tav up front, he`s a better finisher than Dessers or as a No10, even nowadays he has more energy and legs that Lawrence . He would be able to press just as well as he does and can finish just as well too.

Sterling had a few very good games at the tail end pf last season, in numerous positions. he hasn't kicked on yet and hasn't been as much 9f a highlight.
For me playing him in one position and let him make it his own is the way to go, preferably right back.

PC is being critisced for not playing hagi I. d place a bet if he dropped tav and results didn't improve he'd have fans on his back for not playing tav and imo he doesn't think atm he has a better alternative however the young Dutch player could solve that problem for PC.

Been said countless times, Tav hasn't legs to play midfield or rb. If he is to be in team at all, then I'd play hom as wing back in a 3-5-1-1.
Personally I would have sold him 7 years ago.

You make an interesting point there One W, Tav plays because he’s captain and his goal threat regardless of his defensive frailties, and the last three managers have gone with that also, and not one tried to play him further forward to play to his strengths.
And each season we gain and suffer at the same time.

We don't have the players to drop all the payers that merit being dumped. The two that I would drop are Goldson and Lundstrum. neither bring anything to the team and both can easily be replaced as we have Balogun that can come in at centre back and we have other options in holding midfield.
I am of course assuming that barasic has played his last game for rangers.
