With the rumour butland wants to leave this summer could CL change his mind or should we look to get the highest price and let him go.

Onewaltersmith

1.) 12 Apr 2024 22:39:55
Didn't even realise this was a rumour.

2.) 13 Apr 2024 06:51:35
I think this rumour has been driven from the Celtic fans. I’ll be surprised if Butland isn’t our keeper this time next year.

3.) 13 Apr 2024 07:36:45
I've said all along JB was here to put himself in the shop window, if this is true we need to cash in, quickly, clause or not we need to get as much (we've not been great at that) as possible, as soon as possible so PC can start his rebuild for next year.

4.) 13 Apr 2024 07:39:51
Hope you are right Dado - but can see him wanting into stronger league to boost his England chances?Am sure PC has contingency plan in place already- just in case.

5.) 13 Apr 2024 08:10:07
Yeah I can see that blue-Floyd but the tournament is this year, if the tournament was next year then I’d be sure he’s away.

Southgate was watching him at the old firm as well.

6.) 13 Apr 2024 08:53:29
Butland is up here on his own and has young family back in the Midlands. It would not be surprising if he took an opportunity to move back down if he got one.

7.) 13 Apr 2024 10:18:47
We need to be cashing in on the likes of Butland and Tav IF the rumors are true. Gives PC a good amount of cash to reinvest in young, keen sellable assets.

8.) 13 Apr 2024 10:42:33
Would not surprise me him leaving to be fair the league we play in is utter dug poo.

9.) 13 Apr 2024 10:52:40
Dado - Think possibly JB is looking further than Euros regarding gaining a place (ie World Cup) but would be more than happy if he stayed with us for a while- but if big cash offered PC may look to rebuild all round.

10.) 13 Apr 2024 11:06:18
Got to agree GMS we ll get most value out of butland this summer. Simples.

11.) 13 Apr 2024 11:14:52
Yeah perhaps blue - Floyd, let’s see what the summer brings.

I’m not adverse to flipping players, it’s a good model and we’ve had some success doing so.

12.) 13 Apr 2024 11:15:48
Bidding starts at 15 million with 10% sell on.

13.) 13 Apr 2024 14:48:57
They haven't even qualified for the world cup.

14.) 13 Apr 2024 15:37:34
OT - qualifying for WC start next March 25 - so that's what is implied by Butland looking to get into their team for these games or does that seem absurd?

15.) 13 Apr 2024 16:13:26
Perhaps Southgate has told him he needs to leave Scotland to be considered.

16.) 13 Apr 2024 18:37:24
Saw that rumour but was out of Belgium.

17.) 13 Apr 2024 18:47:18
15-20 mill and he'll be away
That works all day long for us and gives us a pretty penny to re invest in the squad
He will be hard to replace though as he has been amazing this season.

18.) 13 Apr 2024 21:13:38
I rate Butland highly, but I doubt we get 15-20m for a keeper playing in Scotland, I'm afraid
10-12 max I'd say. Looking at a keeper playing in Belgium for the 4m mark, leaves some money to buy a striker and ch.

19.) 13 Apr 2024 21:24:16
I would prefer that we kept Butland but I'm sure that Clement and his Team will have identified a quality keeper to replace him should he go.
We don't have a keeper at Ibrox that even comes close to Butland but if we can secure serious money for him and those funds are given to Clement as part of a larger fund to rebuild the side then that could be a plus.

20.) 13 Apr 2024 23:32:45
Baz that's just my opinion
We may get lower but whatever we get is profit and he's been outstanding this season.

21.) 14 Apr 2024 14:16:48
If he didn't want to leave before today then after that hapless display by his team mates he will be wanting to go now.

10 Apr 2024 21:20:14
Can any1 confirm the rumours of roofe retiring are true?

Onewaltersmith

1.) 11 Apr 2024 05:33:46
No reason whatsoever to doubt both storm and John227's info that kemar roofe is retiring from football at the end of the season ☹️It seems going by their info that as well as all roofe's injury problems, he also has a psychological problem because of all his injuries and no wonder, the poor guy didn't ask for all these injuries and must be totally fed up ☹️If indeed roofe is retiring, i wish the guy all the very best in whatever he chooses to do next in his career, whether he stays within the game or something else ? He's a very talented footballer and that was most definitely never in question ?My heart goes out to him☹️.

2.) 11 Apr 2024 05:58:52
It's a shame sir Walter if true asi agree my friend he is a very talented player indeed, his experience n knowledge of the game will be a great asset as a coach if he chose that role, I wouldn't mind him helping around ibrox in some capacity, as he has been very unlucky, but could certainly show some the way too goal, n what a screamer in the euros, he has my well wishes whatever, n once a ger.

3.) 11 Apr 2024 06:14:45
It was posted on his own instagram straight from the horses mouth.

4.) 11 Apr 2024 06:15:29
It never mentioned end of season either coops it was from yesterday it said.

5.) 11 Apr 2024 06:55:27
It was me who said I did not think this was being announced b4 end of season,

6.) 11 Apr 2024 07:22:51
Well let's be honest nobody going to be daft enough to sign him.

7.) 11 Apr 2024 07:25:38
Storm roofe didn't retire himself on instagram yesterday. He shared stuart dallas post who is retiring.

8.) 11 Apr 2024 07:45:25
This wasn't regarding roofe this was a post about Stewart dallas who retired yesterday due to Injury roofe just posted 2 emoji on that post when he shared it.

9.) 11 Apr 2024 07:58:01
It's a shame I honestly think a Kemar Roofe with no career injuries would be a top end Premier league, England international striker. Hopefully he can fulfil his love of football through coaching or some other role, the torment must be unreal.

10.) 11 Apr 2024 08:31:00
With the money he has stole of rangers he will be able to retire comfortably.

11.) 11 Apr 2024 08:51:11
Yes Paul is correct but can see why people were confused, Stuart Dallas has retired. Roofe here to complete the treble.

12.) 11 Apr 2024 08:52:26
Tam he's been blighted with injuries mate not his fault, he's one of our own, it's affected him mentally as well as physically, no one deserves too be hurt in their profession, shame n I wish him well whatever.

13.) 11 Apr 2024 09:02:04
Sollof i really can't sew why anybody could be confused ?. On about growing up in NI and literally had a picture of dallas in the post.

14.) 11 Apr 2024 09:27:29
???? I got it wrong then ? I thought it was him sorry guys.

15.) 11 Apr 2024 09:27:31
"With the money he stole of Rangers"! What?! Away you go and behave yourself! What a load of ?! ?‍♂️.

16.) 11 Apr 2024 09:43:19
He plays for Jamaica, only English born.

17.) 11 Apr 2024 12:24:21
I never seen falls in the post Paul but who did you sew? It’s easy to make mistakes ??.

18.) 11 Apr 2024 15:48:40
Haha Paul trying to be kind. It was on his page in his story so wasn’t like she shared with his own best of luck message. Obviously the details and the fact it was Dallas in the picture was the give away.

19.) 11 Apr 2024 16:14:04
Storm u r just a few months early.

20.) 11 Apr 2024 17:31:58
He had big problems before he was signed and why Anderlecht dropped a fortune on him.

21.) 11 Apr 2024 17:44:01
Wouldnt it be great if he scored the goal to win the league? What a way to end your career.

22.) 11 Apr 2024 18:02:27
I take it it’s what you have heard John?

Ach well everyone makes mistakes no one is perfect not even me unfortunately.

23.) 11 Apr 2024 19:00:11
It would be very difficult for Roofe to find another club if he doesn't retire. it's a case of what could have been with Roofe. excellent striker, but blighted with physical or mental problems. Whatever he does next season, I wish him well.

24.) 12 Apr 2024 05:34:54
Roofe will retire with a treble to his name at the end kf the season and will score at least another 3 for us.

25.) 12 Apr 2024 08:56:33
Yes storm he has decision to make retire from game, take the insurance money or drop down a few levels for buttons.

26.) 12 Apr 2024 12:58:58
We were fortunate in many respects to sign Roofe in the first place since a fully fit Roofe would have been well out of our price range. If he has any sense then he will take the Insurance Money and enjoy a retirement away from playing and secure a position in the media or in football coaching.

27.) 12 Apr 2024 18:39:44
Cheers John.

28 Mar 2024 11:43:06
Sima NOT expected to make celtic game.

Onewaltersmith

1.) 28 Mar 2024 14:25:47
What about the second one?

2.) 28 Mar 2024 14:27:50
That's unfortunate.

3.) 28 Mar 2024 14:38:28
No point rushing him. Every game is massive he can play a part after that.

4.) 28 Mar 2024 17:28:17
I read that he's not even done a full training session yet and usually 2 weeks after a session completed.

27 Mar 2024 20:25:38
Trabzonspor apparently made contact to sign Lunny does any1 know if he's likely to stay or go?

Onewaltersmith

1.) 27 Mar 2024 20:37:45
OWS. Not a good place to go for financial security. He may not stay with us and I hope he does. We have cover for him or if our injuries continue, maybe not!

2.) 27 Mar 2024 20:42:44
Lunny OWS thought it was Borna they were after bud.

3.) 27 Mar 2024 21:19:24
I don't have any links but I think he will stay.

4.) 27 Mar 2024 21:22:50
Good luck getting paid if he goes there.

5.) 27 Mar 2024 21:59:50
I said on the thread below about his situation.

I met him and I asked him what was happening with contract.
He said he wants to stay.
Gaffer wants him to stay and he won't be hard to deal with. His words.
Of course could be lying and just telling me what I wanted to hear to get rid of me! ??.

6.) 28 Mar 2024 06:37:01
It's a hard place for brittish players too go, n notorious for wages not being paid ext, he is one of those experienced heads i would like around the dressing room, n on his day is agreat accet on the field.

7.) 28 Mar 2024 10:09:41
Arrived on a free leaves on a free, no loss can be replaced easy . Give Sterling a midfield berth .

8.) 28 Mar 2024 11:48:56
Loose one can go easily replaced .

9.) 28 Mar 2024 21:49:35
"Lunny, how would you like to head off to sunnier climes for more money and still work with a team-mate? "

Great sign me up. Where and who?

"Turkey and your joining Borna! "

Phil wheres that Rangers contract! "

16 Mar 2024 21:09:22
No idea how accurate they are but football insider journo, Pete o'rourke writes Jack butland wanting a move this summer to play at a higher level - hopefully rubbish.

Onewaltersmith

1.) 16 Mar 2024 23:14:22
Think gash is the word you are looking for OWS.

2.) 16 Mar 2024 23:23:00
Ive said this all along, just here to put himself in the window.
Another round or 2 in Europa might have kept him here but, not surprised if he is away and NOT for silly money like some on here think!

3.) 17 Mar 2024 01:23:46
Bar he is up there with the 3 England keepers that are away instead of him imo they are well easily over £20million if we sell him for any less than 10-15 million then I would be disappointed.

4.) 17 Mar 2024 08:22:23
We are just a stepping stone for players wanting to play at a higher level. Why are people surprised? Apart from the lure of European football, we don't have much else to attract players. Said it for years, if players are that good, as is made out for both our and Celtic's players often, they wouldn't still be here.

5.) 17 Mar 2024 08:50:18
He isn’t going anywhere our fans believe journalists who dislike us instead of what Jack had to say himself.

6.) 17 Mar 2024 09:37:09
Rfc22, so would I mate. but as I said I think this has been his plan all along, good luck to him.

7.) 17 Mar 2024 10:38:12
Depends what he wants, money or legacy.
Butland is a fantastic keeper and it’s a sham that’s he’s not been called up for his country considering the other keepers that have been picked.
Hes worth over £20m all day.

8.) 17 Mar 2024 11:22:53
Wouldn't rely on that site for information, last week they predicted a Rangers starting 11, with only 10 players in it!

9.) 17 Mar 2024 11:27:01
Pete O'Rouke eh.

10.) 17 Mar 2024 15:02:19
Simple solution meet valuation or stays. Could easily play for most teams in EPL so looking for 15m plus.

11.) 17 Mar 2024 21:59:57
If we're looking at Bachmann, maybe Butland could be going?

12.) 18 Mar 2024 07:36:41
Butland said in his own words he believes he is good enough to offer England and most team's in the Premier a decent turn as he has a lot too offer, but he's really happier at rangers, it's always good too play at an elite or higer level, n rules nothing out, by this I think he was meaning the england call up.

13.) 18 Mar 2024 09:02:35
Thought butland had a sell on clause in his contract, thought I heard £5 million.

14.) 19 Mar 2024 08:33:23
If you genuinely believe Butland would want to play for bottom half EPL team instead of Champions league, I think you are off your head. It’s up to us to ensure we win the league and make Butland's decision easy to stay.

15.) 19 Mar 2024 15:26:40
I really hope we can keep Butland, but as we all know money talks. It's a short career and if he like anyone else is offered double or more salary then he takes it, madness not to.

19 Apr 2024 21:38:23
If rumours of lunny agreeing a deal with Ipswich should he be anywhere near the team? He's reverted back to beale form and I'd be playing diomande and sterling.

Onewaltersmith

1.) 19 Apr 2024 23:16:19
Should be nowhere near then team based on his horrendous form.

2.) 19 Apr 2024 23:39:32
Lundstram can do 1 this is kent and alfie all over !

18 Apr 2024 21:49:49
Let's get back to playing players in there natural position as we've nothing to lose.
Butland
Tav goldson souttar bb
Sterling lunny
McCausland cantwell sima
Dessers.
I wouldn't argue with balogun for goldson or diomande for lunny.

Onewaltersmith

1.) 18 Apr 2024 22:24:36
I’d rather yfeko at left back, got to be better drilled and show desire and hunger than Barisic he looks like a player who’s going soon, still a young lad granted and has a lot of improving but I’m sure he wouldn’t let us down, remember young Devine coming in at one point last season and doing well, no nonsense, keep your shape and do the basics.
Having said that can’t see it happening and probably Sterling there, and no faulting Sterling as he has played anywhere when asked but not natural there and far more dynamic on the right or in midfield.

2.) 19 Apr 2024 05:57:42
Natural position? OWS, Sterling at right back then, tav binned.

3.) 19 Apr 2024 06:04:54
Also OWS Souttar is a natural RCB, so if your playing them in natural positions, play him there with balogun if fit, I know what your getting at bud, but for me tav n goldson need dropped.

4.) 19 Apr 2024 10:01:59
One Walter fork is right Sterling is a right back.

5.) 19 Apr 2024 11:01:00
Sterling has too play in midfield, he will be able too take pressure off tav when he gets caught up the park, tav passing has been terrible yes but our team need every attacking option on pitch, this in no way is saying tav is the dogs b*****ks, just think this is best of what we have got, p. s. I would play the youngster at left back if Ridvan still not fit, Borna played his last game.

6.) 19 Apr 2024 11:05:55
you want Borna to play? i must be reading that wrong lol.

7.) 19 Apr 2024 11:07:21
I'm playing Yfeko King or even Davies at lb before the useless Barasic.

8.) 19 Apr 2024 12:37:57
I'd play sterling in midfield because iv never seen him play rb and tbh I think he's needed more in midfield.

18 Apr 2024 19:57:57
Sunday is massive for every1 and given we all think sterling is pivotal do we take the risk of playing bb to free up sterling for the midfield. I don't think we have an option we will be over run with lunny and Lawrence or dowell. Ridiculous a young player signed for free in the summer is so important when we have more experienced players not capable ATM.

Onewaltersmith

1.) 18 Apr 2024 20:58:36
I would play Borna to allow Sterling to play in midfield, great energy.

2.) 18 Apr 2024 21:47:48
Bizzmybrox I tend to agree I think it's more important we solidify the midfield.

3.) 19 Apr 2024 05:11:39
I would definitely play borna at left back on sunday to allow sterling to play in the midfield, without question for me ?My rangers team for sunday against hearts would be -
Butland
Tav
Goldson
Souttar
Barisic
Lundstram
Sterling
Cantwell
Sima
Roofe
Matondo.

4.) 19 Apr 2024 05:48:29
BB is a big no, he isn't interested any more how many times has a team hooked their left back at half time. BB is the only player with any consistency by being consistently awful and let's not beat about the Bush here if there's a 50/ 50 he's not winning it he's a coward it's been proven many of times throughout is lacklustre rangers career.

5.) 19 Apr 2024 06:21:05
RB, RCB AND LB, are the selection issues for me, as many have said at length on here Tav n Goldson are done, Sterling is wasted at LB, it's criminal a player with his drive is kicking his heels in prob the only position he doesn't like. For me if the selections remain the same, so will the results, it's a major problem for PC and Nils to solve, due to form drops and injury affecting selection, same problems exist in varying positions across the entire team, not just defence. IMHO.

6.) 19 Apr 2024 09:34:57
I'd go with:-
Butland
Sterling
Souttar
Balogun (if over his bug)
Borna ( can't be bad every game)
Dowell
Lawrence
Cantwell
McCausland
Roofe ( should strip fitter)
Sima

May be daft but can't be any worse than what's been played recently, leaving out Tav, Goldson and Lundstram may be the boot in the ass they need, won't happen but hey ho, it is just a probably daft idea??.

7.) 19 Apr 2024 10:06:54
That will be us out the cup roofe done nothing the other night.

8.) 19 Apr 2024 10:56:45
Lol Storm nice and positive??.

9.) 19 Apr 2024 18:19:48
I don't see all this confidence in Hearts beating us on Sunday, I would never say that I thought another team would beat us, come on boys, we might even hammer Hearts and get our confidence back, we'll see though.

18 Apr 2024 19:01:27
Dijon sterling 1 of the most inexperienced players in the squad has the balls to come out after the game and tells us as we fans know it the players don't have the belief! Our midfield should be built around him and diomande.

Onewaltersmith

1.) 18 Apr 2024 20:19:36
agree. Only problem is he is needed to fill in elsewhere just now.

18 Apr 2024 18:39:36
Where do we go from here? A team 6 weeks ago we thought would win a treble look terrified to go and win a game of football. Has it caught up with us the lack of quality signed or players just losing form or has the manager had a rift with some players? Iv no idea but I'm as confused today what we do as iv been these past 3 years.

Dado I just think a lot of the players signify failure as a group and the team needs refreshed but who's going to buy goldson or tav unless it's Saudi money personally I'd allow lunny to go and let goldson know he won't be 1st choice next season and with BB, Jack roofe mclaughlan out of contract that frees up space and wages and PC has shown he can spot a player so trust him to get it right we cannot continue to lose managers and keep those players.
