There has been talk on here about Watson from Kilmarnock or Cameron of Dundee. I'd like to see us sign one of these players but it's not looking likely given those we have been linked with all appear to be loans with option to buy. Anyone hearing differently?

Keep seeing people stating 2-2.5mil + a poor quality youth player for Miller.
I don't even think 2.5mil gets you to the table to discuss signing Miller. Motherwell may not be a financially strong club but they'll know that another season of Miller playing the majority of games and playing well will see him sold next summer for a good fee.

Any news on outgoings? Gone quiet on Hagi moving on.
Van Ginkel and Propper deals would seem good moves at this stage. Hopefully both can be signed and pitched straight in against Hearts along with Cerny.
I'd like us also to get a striker in before the weekend and then that gives us a fighting chance for Kiev champions league tie
After that it's moving on Cantwell, Tav, Davies, Dowell and Dessers hopefully with some fees and looking to add 3 or 4 more. Sima, new striker, number 10 and centre back.

I wouldn't be in a rush to sell Dessers. He's a good all round player and now (unlike last season) he has a proper pre-season behind him. This may well make him sharper in front of goal. I also think we'll see a different Lawrence this season now he's had a good pre-season. Written off by too many, I feel.

Not going to lie, I'm finding the potential of bringing in propper and van ginkel pretty underwhelming. Feels a bit last minute dash to get bodies in, rather than a planned out approach to bring down the average age if the squad. Here's hoping we're holding cash back to buy a more exciting name/ prospect, rather than the coffers being empty and we're raking through the bargain bucket.

He does not engage or participate in any press nor does he track his man. Lawrence cannot do that job either cause his legs are gone. Tom Lawrence will be injured more often than he plays. He's too lethargic and lacks pace. No doubt he can strike a ball and has composure but he always looks of the pace. If Lowry caught PC's eye enough to try him in preseason then he must start playing him or get rid as the kids attitude which is suspect, may have a bad influence on the team. For the record, Balogun and WHO should start saturday, if fit Propper, no question!

Looks like Robbie McCorrie off to Kilimarnock. I'm sure we will have a percentage of sell on but if he is given just a few years contract that's hardly going to be a large fee. I was hoping you might have an English team willing to pay £500k-£1m for him. We really do struggle selling players and every club knows we need to shift a lot of dead wood, I fear we will not get our money back on Lammers or dessers and appears little interest in Hagi, Lawrence, Davies, Matondo or Dowell. These are all players for me we pay large salaries who aren't guaranteed starters. It will be interesting to see what we can do in the rest of the window we need more first team starters but players brought in will improve squad and bring wage bill down if we get rid of players mentioned. Time to start bringing more of our youth into the squad.

Same movie. I'm no football expert but we always get out numbered in midfield. why not go with 4 in there. I applaud that PC didn't go with Lawrence but honestly park the bus for the first 60 mins then use your bench.
They always fly out the blocks and yet we never learn. You know Walter Smith even with better players recognised what they were like at home that hasn't changed soak up pressure defend well then break on them.

So many problems for Rangers right now. Interesting a few people on here mentioned Butlands weakness down to his left it's starting to become more and more evident. Worry for me is who will buy him? Is this another case like Cantwell where we think we've won a watch but in reality we might find we are stuck with him on a high wage for a few seasons and we don't get anything like the £10m plus we hoped for. He is a top guy and professional from what I can see but I fear he is not the huge asset we thought he was. I was hoping someone would offer £10m in the summer I reckon there were no interested parties. I still feel he is probably our number 1 goalie but I think for the wages he is on there are questions now whether he is good value for it.
I think you need rid of all the high earners Butland, Tav, Dowell, Hagi, Lawrence, Matondo and Desssers. For me there are plenty other players that would be on half their wages and offer better value. What this does for the squad morale when you have these players being so average I don't know.
Danilo deserves more time and he has to have games to become an asset that you can sell.

Cantwell doesn't say on transfer market place when his contract expires but I'd guess 2026 or 2027.
Seems like little to no interest in these players. How do you get rid of this many average players on high wages? Ultimately we may have to accept low transfer fees or even no transfer fee to get some of them off our books and even that might not get rid of them.
You would think our club and those running it would have learned to live within its means having gone through the mess we did before. I hope we can some how shift 3 to 4 from list above and bring in replacements but it's a tough ask.

I wonder how much Lawrence has been affected by the injury he had in his first season with us. He looked energetic and threatening when he first joined. He probably needs moved on due to his high wage but a useful player in terms of getting a goal.

I’d still like Shankland, problem is I don’t see us carrying four forwards and with dessers in good form where does Shankland fit in?
He has played as a second forward or number 10 for hearts but don’t see him suiting that role in our team he would need to be the number 9. I also think there are other areas of the pitch that are a priority and not sure we have any interest. Plus you have to give Danilo and Igamane game time. Be shocked if it happened.
I feel for the guy as I think he deserved his dream move last summer or definitely in January window but now it makes less sense for where we are.

EHL spot on! Unfortunately for us to get the better of them we need to approach things with more of a medium to long term plan which Clement has talked about. I would like to have seen us sign one or two Scottish players particularly Miller I think this was one we could have pushed the boat out on.
Whatever we do our recruitment needs to be aligned to a plan of how we want to play as a team and what our DNA is. The other mob have that and although Rodger’s is more possession based than Ange they have similar styles. They struck gold in the Asian markets and before that had worked well in identifying young French talents like Eduouard and Ntcham. Our recruitment has been a reflection of whoever has been the manager and that needs to change.
These new players do need more time and PC does too although supporters are right to be concerned as he is not helping himself with some of his comments and tactics.
The wage bill being reduced was the most pressing target and I think we’ve done well with that.
I firmly believe all remaining high earners should be moved on over next two windows and I’m sure that will be the goal.
