After the talk about Angus Gunn as a possible replacement for Butland thought I'd tune in to the play off to have a look, he's having a shocker.

1.) 16 May 2024 21:31:21
And his night is getting worse….

2.) 16 May 2024 21:33:44
I hope that this rumour is all it was. I had a thought that Nils could be down there to have a chat with one or two free agents and possible homegrown players that are on the bench or in the stands.

3.) 16 May 2024 21:58:15
Cooper (Leeds) is out of contract and at 32 could be a homegrown and very good piece of business his experience and current league he is playing in. All hypothetical, but not unrealistic. That is unless he signs on if they win the playoffs cause who wouldn't want EPL on their CV again.

4.) 16 May 2024 23:14:32
Nanny, Cooper would not be considered homegrown. I don’t recall him having played in Scotland at all at club level, youth or pro. Nonetheless, there are worse CHs out there.

5.) 17 May 2024 07:50:38
I think we can all agree we need some speed at centre back. Cooper not for me.

6.) 17 May 2024 07:50:57
Remember Russel Martin?

7.) 17 May 2024 10:02:35
Cooper would be a decent signing.

8.) 17 May 2024 11:40:27
Hahaha oh my god. Cooper again. What a surprise on this forum. Same names regurgitated for the last 4 managers spanning 6 years.

9.) 17 May 2024 13:59:02
Orangetinted different Cooper mate.

10.) 17 May 2024 15:59:20
Better with Tommy Cooper - because he is magic and can change things for the better, "Just like That".

11.) 17 May 2024 22:01:19
Hearing Jardel has flew in for a medical. ???.

12.) 18 May 2024 00:48:01
Rather mcrorie.

Hi everyone, well we lost as expected but not in the manner we expected. Was reading that we are in talks with Brighton regarding Sima approx 10 million my point is
Do you think we should forget about Sima and spend the money on Miovski and Shankland?

simababyjive

1.) 25 May 2024 23:52:49
Nope

And should not pay anything near that for sima I dsay 4 million max

1. He is in final year of contract
2. Had two failed loans before rangers
3 hasn’t played for Brighton
4 serious injury

Sorry but Brighton can’t be expecting more than they paid for him or even close to what they paid for him he’s a failed signing in their eyes if we pay big money we are mugs for me Cortes at a way lower price looked more value.

2.) 26 May 2024 00:14:34
I don't see us putting out £10m on anyone unless it was over the contract period and certain levels are structured in and criteria needs to be met, like £6m + £2m/ 4m in add ons.
I wonder if what was mentioned earlier about the Aberdeen link to our player might mean some come and go with their striker? Player plus cash deal maybe?

3.) 26 May 2024 00:19:36
No worth 4m never mind 10m.

4.) 26 May 2024 00:28:20
Zero chance we spend 10 million on a player. The chances that the best players are available on our door step does not make statistical sense, so no we should cast our net far and wide.

5.) 26 May 2024 00:49:47
Long time lurker first time poster. I was a dessers fan but I believe if shankland was cf we would have won, We are not too far behind though, i like the buy young players then sell as I think will work. I believe in PC and we will get better. I like the players we are linked with although I'm no expert. If we can find the right players (don't need to be young: Butland) then yes I fancy us. They have had millions yet 'just' beat us. Please don't fight amongst us. 12 months I'll be back on to celebrate with you guys!

6.) 26 May 2024 01:20:09
We ain't paying 10m for anyone, to many positions to add to so can't see it.

7.) 26 May 2024 01:54:28
10 million is a lot to pay for sima.

8.) 26 May 2024 04:59:24
Sima will probably cost 5m.

9.) 26 May 2024 06:32:33
I think we’re clearly looking at other wingers than Sima, Cortes and Mofokeng for example.

I can’t see us buying him although I’ve enjoyed watching him, he’s a good player.

10.) 26 May 2024 07:25:50
The same as yourself Dado, i like sima and think he's a good player that will get even better ? Unfortunately imo i think he maybe a bit too expensive for us to buy him outright from brighton ?Of course it all depends what sort of fee they're actually wanting for sima ?I really like the look of oscar cortes and hope/ think we should definitely sign this young man ?Cortes will also get better and better and will make us big money eventually when we sell him on in a few years down the line ? We need to get value for money from every player clement signs this summer and he can't afford to get too many signings wrong ? That other mob will buy quality because they need too also because again like i said before our game against them yesterday they're an average team and nowhere near as good as they're bummed up to be?We most definitely should have beaten them yesterday ☹️.

11.) 26 May 2024 11:38:31
A lot more than 5mil.

11 May 2024 17:30:43
Sadly the game panned out exactly how I thought it would.
A static midfield which allowed their midfielders to run off them at will, how many shots before the opening goal .
Tom Lawrence and John Lundstram shouldn't play for Rangers again, the own goal was poor but the pointless lunge was the behaviour of a cheat it was worse the feigning injury.
If you don't win the midfield you cannot win the football match unless you have a couple of world class strikers and we don't. Because my expectation level was so low I'm not felling as bad as I should which is a worry in itself. Mr Clement needs to have a look in the mirror he will not be allowed to keep on failing against them.

1.) 11 May 2024 18:15:02
The lack of mobility in the midfield is so obvious surely sterling and raskin need to go in for last 3 games we can't keep doing the same think hoping to get a result.

2.) 11 May 2024 18:34:26
It’s as if we’re scared of them and sit back off them. Very poor today not tracking runners.

3.) 11 May 2024 19:27:57
Its a pity about lunny now, he was great in seville run.

4.) 11 May 2024 22:06:08
Sentimentality about past performance doesn't cut it today, true for a few in the team.

21 Oct 2023 17:04:04
That was very encouraging, some great individual performances and a good team effort . most enjoyable game of the season so far.

Just what exactly is the process for appointing a new Rangers manager?
Do we just read the sports pages and pick targets or is it based on stats
In the couple of days since the announcement was made the number of names is mind boggling. obviously the interview is important but some people are very good at interviews just look around the office and think how did we hire that clown. It's a difficult decision I just hope we have a wee bit of luck, surely we're due some and we get the right man. Fingers crossed.

simababyjive

1.) 03 Oct 2023 12:18:57
Ik looking round the office and your right sima. However I'd like to take luck out of the equation. We make our own luck.
Can I ask, rangers men I know and it's only temporary but what does Rae bring to the table. Respect Davis but is he the right choice. Knows the club and probably is. Smith. no problem assisting. Thoughts?

2.) 03 Oct 2023 12:33:26
Managerial experience that’s what Rae brings. Along with a no nonsense attitude.

3.) 03 Oct 2023 13:36:18
Sima . don’t be too hard on yourself. I wouldn’t call you a clown.

30 Sep 2023 17:17:44
Sadly I now believe that should be the end of the Michael Beale project. As a football team we are so easy to play against our football is very predictable and as such can be counteracted comfortably. Injuries are not an excuse we were poor with a fully fit squad, we're a struggling side that with no rhythm or game plan. Back to square one again.

simababyjive

1.) 30 Sep 2023 17:52:17
The squad have rarely been all fit since the day he arrived mate. Even if Beale goes the number of injuries happening at Ibrox needs to be investigated. We had the exact same issue under GVB.

Why would we want to keep someone who we all know is simply not good enough, he’s on a low wage? what exactly is a low wage at Rangers
Should we not have people on the bench that have the ability to be better than those in the starting 11 if not what’s the point. some of the thinking around our club is baffling.

Scott Wright has had ample opportunities he’s just not good enough.
Please let him leave.

Yes we need better than the guy who just played for the Netherlands at the euros, because that’s where we’re at. We probably have 3/ 4 million to spend so the worlds our lobster as old Arthur Daley would say.

Need to be selling players rather than letting them run the clock down. Tav has been an unbelievable signing but if we get a bid we must accept it.

Don’t tell us tell your colleagues, tired of hearing Rangers players admitting it wasn’t good enough. James Tavernier was ridiculed for expressing similar sentiments.

Sadly everything you say is true .
This was never going to be a one window fix, I just hope the fans can find a little bit of patience while we put down solid foundations.
In Glasgow you are either successful or in crisis and let’s be honest we have been the latter for the best part of twelve years, onwards and upwards.

It would be a wise move for any footballer to steer clear of fan forums, for let’s be honest if we had Mbappe people would still be calling him out . The internet has given a voice to all those petty sad vindictive conspiracy loving individuals.

It’s a changed world, football fans are no longer reliant on the sports reporter with good contacts smart phones have made them pretty much redundant .
The only downside is the sheer number of rumours is overwhelming.
