Jefte was far from fine defensively. A more experienced left back and Cortes not tracking his runner is much less of a problem. He's only young so understandable, but let's not understate his defensive naivety and put too much pressure on him too soon.

Can someone explain to me please, why if a player refuses to play and/ or train while under contract, a club can’t refuse to pay their wages. Seems a bit unfair on the club if you ask me. Jack Butland. Would you sell him for say £8m+ and play Kelly but use the money for a rebuild? Or is he too important to let go? For me personally his form fell of a cliff in March and I believe if you have a good team you can get away with a goalkeeper of ‘lesser ability’. I would sell Butland if a good offer came in and play Kelly and sign 2 quality players to come into the 11. Just my opinion. What’s yours?

I think selling an asset like Butland for £10m is a move we would have to make (in current circumstances), however it still leaves us trying to move on the likes of Hagi, Cantwell and Matondo as Butland is only 1 player. We cannot keep adding strikers and midfielders until we shift more out less desirable ones.
The one thing it may do is allow us to try and offload some for lesser values (not a desired route tbh) which would also free both wages and squad places….

I can't remember the last time Celtic had a quality keeper.
Definitely can't remember them ever having a better kepper than ours anyways.
Hart was fine and only because he never really got tested. Butland has made some world class saves in his time with us.
Now i don't watch much of that mob but a few mates and family (on the wifes side lol) didn't rate Hart that much.
I think Kelly would do us a job especially in the league if he had a better defence in front of him.
We will need rid of the dross though.

Cantwell, like many before him, thought he could come up here and stroll it. After 6 months (when the pressure was off and they had won the league) he was calling it home here and loving the fans. Fast forward a year and the pressure is on. He can’t hack it mentally, his performances don’t justify a start and he’s spat the dummy out. He’s a waste of space and he’ll end up in English lower leagues a forgotten man.
