Window shopping isn't going to win us the league, is it? Just because we're looking at bringing in a good standard will mean the square root of sod all if it ends up we can't sign them. There's no "looking at good standards" titles or cups to play for.
So far, this window has been very poor, and as this moment, we find ourselves weaker than we were last season. We have lost our number 1 LB, and arguably our best CD (best of a bad bunch), with no signs of an upgrade. Our number 1 RB is honking, and looks like he's staying. Granted, we have Ridvan and Sterling for the FB positions (both injury prone), but what about our central defence? If it was bad last season, then it's a helluva lot worse now. Has there been any chat of bring in upgrades for this position?
With the first game of the season rapidly approaching, and our first leg against a, so far, vastly superior Kiev, can anyone honestly say they are confident we can do something?

The only good point made after that training match disappointment is the glaringly obvious, we are desperately short of about 4 players.
Dessers should be out on loan asap, we need a solid goal scorer. we have so many fringe players who aren't good enough, but it sounds like we are shopping for loans!

We’re not as short as some posters would like to make out, I’m not sure Celtic would have got through that Europa league group. Win our games in hand (which we will do) and we’re 2 behind a really poor Celtic team with a really poor manager.

The slowing the game down tactic starts an alarm ⏰ for me, the manager will fail if he slows the team down, his reign will end in failure, we need 2 signings by tonight a striker and a midfielder or we are going to fail very quickly . For me shankland would instantly improve the frontline and hit the ground running, it’s worth the money for stability, we must invest in players asap. Scottish preferred.
