Spoke to a friend today who's in journalism and he said they expect the takeover to happen before the managerial appointment. No timeline but said could be as soon as next week which ties in with previous posts about taking the headlines. Also said he's completely in the dark regarding an appointment.
I know that a load of nothing but just pasing what I heard.

Wouldn’t want Big Sam and Rangers would not be interested anyway but he gets a bad rap of high ball football etc, he always seemed to have smaller teams fighting relegation and done what was needed to win but when he had some money with Bolton back in the day they were one of the best teams to watch with great attacking football, very rare to have a manager who can change formations and style of play depending on opposition these days, mind you still trying to work out Beales style of play ??.

Don`t really want Big Sam either but at least he would get us organised at set pieces at both ends of the pitch . I don`t really like the guy but in some respects I think a big character, experienced manager to run the football side is what we need. Not sure the board want someone who will make demands on them though.

Gutted this Jansen guy has ruled himself out. He seemed like a very good coach. He comes from a very well run club too and maybe he could solve a lot of our wider issues. We need a guy like that.
The guy from Belgium (Clement I think his name is) has a good CV. Most of the media and rumours seem to be suggesting Lampard who I don’t think is right at all - Too much of a gamble.

Over the course of the 5 old firm games this season. Won 2 drew 2 lost 1, 10 scored 9 conceded. 7/12 pts in the league v 4/12 pts for them. Yet they're on the verge of treble with a 17 pt gap . How inconsistent we've been this season is frightening. It used to be games against the rest took care of themselves and whoever won the old firms won the league.

Think we have a decent core of players but as soon as one or two go out we start getting problems our squad overall is weak ahould really be shipping out at least 20players counting guys out on loan and maybe 3 youngsters who i don't think are going to do anything if they stay at our club
I know its maybe unrealistic to get that high a clearout but its seriously needed.
