Hullo bears. Not sure if there's anything in this but family on the missus side live in and are massive Southampton fans and apparently there's chatter down there about Stuart Armstrong on pre contract coming to us in the summer. Again might be nothing but thought I'd share.

At 32 yrs old. i can't see it but stranger things happen.

2.) 03 Apr 2024 11:40:23
Broxi, good info, this has been floated couple of times, good player but 33 next birthday.
Not sure that fits our model of seeking younger players but you also need some experience.

3.) 03 Apr 2024 11:41:10
That would be a great good player.

4.) 03 Apr 2024 12:41:36
I've heard this as well, good player and get a good couple of years out of him. Could be a decent signing.

5.) 03 Apr 2024 13:16:21
Always rated Armstrong since his Dundee Utd days, very good experience, he certainly wouldn't be a bad signing, can also play any midfielders position.

6.) 03 Apr 2024 13:43:42
He's still a v good player who could do a job, but as John pointed out, his name has been getting mentioned for a few years now, and there's never been anything in it.

7.) 03 Apr 2024 14:20:59
I can’t see it tbh he’d command high wages and it’s a position where we have more than enough players. If Lawrence is sold then maybe but I can’t see it otherwise.

8.) 03 Apr 2024 18:00:22
His bro works with my mate. Car dealership in aberdeen. Will try get info on this.

9.) 03 Apr 2024 20:32:43
Ex Celtic can’t see it.

10.) 03 Apr 2024 21:31:29
As much as I love a rumour mate I just can't see this one happen.

11.) 03 Apr 2024 22:07:15
Why not? So was Miller and Johnston. Others started out at Celtic then moved to Rangers, O'halloran and Wylde prob more, and then you have guys going back and forward in the dark ages, so it does happen.

12.) 03 Apr 2024 22:14:22
I'm a non believer of this
Be very surprised but he would be an upgrade on jack.

13.) 03 Apr 2024 22:53:49
Could see him going back to Celtic tbf doubt it will be rangers but to be honest I would take him.

14.) 04 Apr 2024 10:15:53
Ex Celtic, can't see it?
We got past all that nonsense I the 80's. Or atleast some of us did.

15.) 04 Apr 2024 12:33:37
Crcp. Here here.

16.) 04 Apr 2024 14:52:35
Very fit and very intelligent, certainly not out of the question.

17.) 04 Apr 2024 18:14:53
Very good replacement for Jack in homegrown players for Europe burns.

18.) 04 Apr 2024 18:38:47
For me its nothing to do with ex celt, he just isn't good enough. I think both Lawerence and Cantwell are better in the 10. Plus I don't think he's a PC type signing.

19.) 04 Apr 2024 22:46:40
Clement wants eight homegrown players rtg and Armstrong definitely wouldn't be a bad signing, needs to lower his wage and probably will have to with his age, i would prefer Miller and Watson or Barron.

20.) 04 Apr 2024 23:07:02
Would be a terrible signing Star, wouldn't offer anything that we haven't already got.

21.) 05 Apr 2024 09:39:20
He wasn't happy at the piggery, that was obvious - couldn't wait to get away. Intelligent guy who quickly saw thru all the bhoys nonsense.

22.) 05 Apr 2024 10:07:47
He is a good player and can play a number of positions not just a 10.

23.) 05 Apr 2024 10:43:42
Armstrong wouldn't make our 11. We shouldn't be signing players who are not better than what we already have.

24.) 05 Apr 2024 13:06:00
Rtg Jack doesn't start every week, he would be handy for our homegrown players that's all I'm saying mate, he is still a good player.

25.) 05 Apr 2024 17:10:13
My star not for 500k a year

Go get miller Barron Watson.

26.) 05 Apr 2024 21:34:54
Yes John would prefer that.

27.) 06 Apr 2024 18:09:52
I'm no getting it why would we want a 32 year old ex Celtic player. No matter how good he is where's the sense in that! Would rather play a lad from the B Team. N if we're all be honest we've got some great talent just don't get a chance.

28.) 06 Apr 2024 19:41:37
Doesn’t matter who he use to play for.

29.) 07 Apr 2024 21:27:27
Dog who is the great talent u refer to in b team.

30.) 07 Apr 2024 22:37:35
Tom Lawrence was shocking today just saying.

04 Jan 2024 10:55:47
Happy new year all. Been visiting the English branch of family who are all Millwall fans telling me there's talk down there about us enquiring about kevin nisbet. Has anyone else heard anything along those lines?

BroxiBear-1872

1.) 04 Jan 2024 12:21:19
I always like him not sure if we’ll get him or not but I always thought he was a good player.

2.) 04 Jan 2024 12:42:30
No this guy is not good enough plus he hates Rangers.

3.) 04 Jan 2024 12:50:39
Nisbet has one serious dodgy knee. Failed initial medical when meant to leave hibs.

4.) 04 Jan 2024 13:18:15
Nesbit is injury prone, so slither injured strikers or others who could not hit a barn door is our go too unfortunately, just imagine a striker who scores and available every week is it too much to ask.

5.) 04 Jan 2024 13:34:15
Coopersdad, how are they our go to? It's rumours, not players that the club have said they're looking at.

6.) 04 Jan 2024 13:47:06
Absolute nonsense that he "hates us" - I've known the lad for years and he would move to us in a heartbeat.

7.) 04 Jan 2024 14:08:47
Nesbit is a celtic fan and he would move to us in a heartbeat but shankland is one of us and wouldn't go to celtic. How does that work.

8.) 04 Jan 2024 14:11:04
No thanks injured more than Roofe.

9.) 04 Jan 2024 15:03:25
Jeez Nisbet again, he would never ever ever sign for Rangers, please stop eating late night cheese the dreams are now mental.

10.) 04 Jan 2024 16:37:45
Nope nope nope

As I said before hibs fans said he has a problem with his work rate so there’s no way we are signing him.

11.) 04 Jan 2024 16:20:39
Totally agree with you DTB ?.

12.) 04 Jan 2024 16:26:22
Jfm63 - Nisbet, because that's his name not Nesbit, is not a Celtic fan in any way. I have no clue where you have got that made up nonsense from. I've known him since his days at Raith Rovers and can assure you there is no truth in what you said. If we go in for him and the deal is done with Milwall, he will be happy to come to Rangers.

13.) 04 Jan 2024 16:29:12
Jfm that’s a great point DTB is delusional to say the least.

14.) 04 Jan 2024 17:54:44
Exactly mate he’s a massive Celtic supporter and states he hates us so where does do the bouncy get that he would be good for Rangers and move to us in a heartbeat when we’re never going to be interested in him he’s simply not good enough another Michael O’Halloran.

15.) 04 jan 2024 18:08:16
i would love to see where he states " he hates rangers.

16.) 04 Jan 2024 18:21:29
I don’t care if someone is a Celtic fan or not only if they are proffesional and good yes ideally you want rangers supporting players.

17.) 04 Jan 2024 18:32:51
Dothebouncy you are getting desperate when you pull somebody up for typing a wrong letter in a name of a player that isn't one of ours. Many posters on here can't even spell our own players names correctly.
Grow up man.

18.) 04 Jan 2024 18:42:02
The Scotland Internationalist is a Celtic supporter and would be keen on moving to Glasgow's East End.

That is an online headline from January 2023, dothebouncy.

19.) 05 Jan 2024 09:44:14
JFM623, just pointing out that you don't even know what his name is so how can you be so confident that you know what team he supports? Online headlines you say? That must make it true then.

I will say it again, I have known Kevin since he played at Raith Rovers and I can state that he has no love for Celtic. He would sign for us if the offer was made.

Does anyone know if there's a presser today to unveil the new gaffer?

BroxiBear-1872

1.) 16 Oct 2023 11:11:21
I believe philippe clement's press conference is tomorrow BroxiBear-1872??.

2.) 16 Oct 2023 11:45:00
Broxi tomorrow already con This morning by rangers media outlets, no time stated as yet.

06 Oct 2023 16:01:06
Afternoon all. Having a discussion at work about appointing an interim manager until the end of the season and really taking our time to make sure we get this appointment right. We cannot afford another gvb or beale. What's everyone's opinion on this.

BroxiBear-1872

1.) 06 Oct 2023 17:55:33
A European final and a trophy seem great considering our results so far this year. Beat off minows.

06 Oct 2023 11:19:53
It really shows how detached from reality this board truly is if they believe that frank lampard is the right man for the job. Frank butcher would do a better job.

BroxiBear-1872

1.) 06 Oct 2023 12:32:45
Pat butcher would do a better job, or big Phil, or Billy Mitchell. This is turning into a soap opera.

2.) 06 Oct 2023 12:50:18
Exactly, if that's the way they're playing it, it's obvious they have no ambition. Their argument will be his profile and that he can nurture our youth. Worrying times ahead for the foreseeable.

3.) 06 Oct 2023 13:33:33
Azul - would even go as far as getting four legged Roly in before Frank Barrow Boy Lampard ? Plea to Frank - plea stay in Old London Town with Christine and leave us be!

4.) 06 oct 2023 13:36:30
looking very much like frank lampard has somehow become a figure of hate on herd for some bizarre reasons. utterly incredible that this guy is being destroyed here almost all day, some people saying the same thing every hour for days, is frank hated so much, because this isn't just " i don't fancy him "
its full on character assassination.

5.) 06 Oct 2023 14:01:26
Yes I have wondered that as well Tom, I would prefer he is not our manager because I would want better.
However he could walk in and fix our mess, reality we don’t no until a new man turns up.

If we get it right I’m not giving up league yet.

6.) 06 Oct 2023 15:12:45
I’ve stated I like Lampard as a person and as a player
Don’t think he’s what we need
But I’d back him if he comes in.

05 Oct 2023 22:59:50
Totally scunnered after tonight. First that awful performance and losing to a team we should be beating and secondly seeing that lampard is more than likely the new man in charge. The upcoming agm is going to be fun.

BroxiBear-1872

1.) 05 Oct 2023 23:50:36
The upcoming AGM will be the usual farce and you can bet that there will be an appointment before that and lots of moonbeams promised!
Who knows, we might magic up some new investment and it will be all about the new Museum, the Fanzone and the new extension to bring in more punters and those that are interested in us having a quality team that can challenge for the League and Europe will be neutered as usual!

2.) 06 Oct 2023 05:47:24
Let’s wait to see what Bisgrove and Bennet do. They got rid of Beale, that performance should worry them so let’s wait.
