Just hearing Barjonas possible loan deal to Partick Thistle and that Steve Davis rumour is maybe a non starter.

Barjonas to Partick is a big step up hopefully means he's ready to make the step up in to our set up

Will the fact we have an upcoming double header against the sheep have any bearing on McInnes' decision, should he be offered the job? Thoughts, bears?

Pdot

1.) 02 Nov 2017 07:51:37
realistically yes

but if a comp figure to release him from his contract has been set and we pay it, then there’s no reason it should

i appreciate due diligence must be done especially after last 2 appointments, but if we are going to get DM then we should do it sooner rather than later ie next week

2.) 02 Nov 2017 10:31:36
if we know who our top target is we should make a move right away as holding off won't do us any good at all we want the manager to have as many games this season as possible to get the best out of our players and to assess what he needs to bring in, but anyone who comes in should know what we need and should have been paying attention

3.) 02 Nov 2017 13:03:31
i believe they r moving fast. howver the reason i don't believe its mcinnes is because if it was him surely it would be job done already. why hold interviews in london if they already made their minds up.

Derek McInnes interview on Sportscene yesterday. He was trying so hard to keep the grin off his face when asked about the Rangers job! A very near relative recently said he would not have came during all the turmoil, but would love the job at some point. of course he would, he is a dyed in the wool bluenose! Get him in, NOW!

Pdot

1.) 30 Oct 2017 16:14:07
He's my preferred option.

2.) 30 Oct 2017 23:24:51
If McInnes is offered it then he will take it.

3.) 31 Oct 2017 08:30:03
Of course he will take it aberdeen are not a bad club but they will never be a dominant force regardless who manages them.

Now that the report has been submitted to the member clubs, have we, Rangers, made any follow up announcements on the matter? Surely we should publicly, at some point, clarify what is contained in the report and highlight the salient points.
Hopefully we will not be embarrassed, and if we are, heads should definitely roll.

From what I have read there seems to be a case to answer regarding Doncaster's behaviour.
The allegations of bullying seems to be in regards to 2 chairmen in the championship. Nothing was done when the accusations were made.
I certainly don't think rangers have behaved improperly in they've done things.

2.) 07 May 2020 16:00:29
Pdot, expect a short statement later today. In meantime Think good if we all remind ourselves of content of official statement issued by club on 11th April and precursor to today’s events.

WE have been presented with evidence via a whistleblower that raises serious concerns surrounding the SPFL’s processes relating to its stewardship of the voting on the resolution presented to member Clubs.

Rangers’ Interim Chairman, Douglas Park, attempted to discuss this evidence with SPFL chief executive, Neil Doncaster, who initially refused to do so. The SPFL followed up that call with an e-mail, which we believe was a thinly disguised attempt to silence legitimate concerns.

Rangers will not be bullied into silence. We believe it is in the interests of all Scottish clubs and supporters that the evidence, which is alarming, be addressed as quickly as possible.

The voting debacle and the evidence we possess raise serious questions concerning the corporate governance of the SPFL.

Mr Park said: “The lack of leadership and responsibility from the SPFL as a members’ organisation has shocked me. If ever there was a time for complete openness and transparency, it is now. Crucial decisions are being made on the issues of promotion and relegation behind closed doors and without proper time for consideration or debate.

“The farcical conduct of this affair seems to me to bring the corporate governance and business operations of the SPFL into sharp focus. It is an example of an undemocratic culture, which has existed within the SPFL for far too long.

“As a member club, we are disturbed by the evidence that has been presented and feel there is no choice but to call for an independent investigation into this entire matter. Each member of the SPFL board has a duty to its members to ensure that such an investigation is instructed without delay.

“All we ask for is equality and respect. In the past few days, we have become alarmed at a seeming lack of even-handedness and fair play from the SPFL. This is surely unacceptable and, if substantiated, must be remedied.

“Other member clubs, who have seen the evidence we hold, share our concerns.

“We call for the suspension of the SPFL’s Chief Executive, Neil Doncaster and its legal adviser, Rod McKenzie while an independent investigation is conducted. ”.

Hope we now are drawn against copenhagen this afternoon. 😂😂🙏.

2.) 28 Feb 2020 07:08:17
agree coop Copenhagen for me or one of zee germans pref Frankfurt who sit 11th in Bundesliga

would also take Last or Basel but definitely don’t want Sevilla they’ve won it about 25 times!

magnificent effort to get there by SG and the team one more round for prestige and money for club wld be superb.

Celtic fan on Twitter in hysterics thinking it means no 2nd champions league place because of the defeat. But the 2nd spot was already guaranteed when we achieved 13th spot and couldn't be pushed back out the top 15 due to the teams left to play in Europe.

Said on here earlier that we would not be beaten today. In spite of every effort from outwith, we prevailed. And rightly so, we were far superior in every way. Push is on for 55.We truly are the people! 🇬🇧⚽.

Agreed. Watching Stevie G today and the last few weeks there's something special about him- every comment is considered and he shows an intense determination whilst being measured. Lennon by example judging by the minor fracas on the sideline is too quick to get involved in an argument regardless of its merits. It must be a joy to play under Stevie G as he commands respect he's firm yet articulate and he seems to learn from his mistakes.

Guys, East Fife beat Hearts, albeit on penalties. We send a shadow side and win easily in deplorable conditions. Think too many judgements are being made based on yesterday's performances. The manager isn't doing it, I'm sure he was just happy to get the win, and get these guys some game time. They will be judged every day in training and he will pick a starting 11 based on that, and the opposition. Seems to be getting it right so far this season. In Gerrard we trust!

Good bit of business to A) get rid of him and B) just about get the money back for him. Overall, I think we are nearly there as a team, but think we need to have a settled look going in to the league campaign. We have played some nice stuff, but have also been sloppy. Hopefully we will sharpen up and hit the ground running against Killie. No worries for next Thursday, but I think only having a 2 goal lead will mean we don't muck about with the starting 11 too much, which could potentially be a good thing.

Greg Stewart will be involved a lot more than many people think, IMHO. Seen it before when a player perceived as a back up has gone on to be mainstay. Look no further than Kamara as an example. Who truthfully believed he would have been as much of a vital part of the team as he became? Stewart will hopefully follow suit.

Is it correct what I read that the Spfl didn't receive an official copy of the report, just clubs?
If that's the case, where did they get the copy from?!

Don't get how Dundee can be in discussion with the Spfl. Were any other clubs given that opportunity? What would the reaction be if it was Rangers doing this and not Dundee?! Baffling how the authorities in the game are going along with this.

If they are on furlough, maximum is £2500 per month. They won't be though!
