In my honest opinion Clement won't be here long enough for a rebuild. It's going be a rebuild of loans and free transfers and when I say rebuild I mean the full side. We badly needed to crawl to this title against the poorest celtic team in over 20 years but will ultimately have fallen short. I'm going give an opinion which will most likely annoy people on here. There's been no real improvement with Rangers under Clement and only reason we got back into the title race was because celtic allowed us back in. Yes we went on a winning run but so did the Beale team last season. Performances have been poor since the winter break outwith the Hearts game at Ibrox. There's so much wrong with the side but because we were scrapping wins for some reason fans thought the league was in the bag. Ross County and Dundee has been coming for ages and its not just the bottle of the team it's also the lack of quality within the team. How many of our players are playing international football on a regular basis? (I'm not talking about an odd friendly or sitting on the bench I'm talking about playing regularly for their country) Also we have a back 4 and a striker that are simply not good enough to win a championship over 38 games. Tavernier is back to taking every corner, free kick and throw in possible and wasting 95% of them in the process. Goldson is just dreadful and John Soutter belongs back at Hearts. Ben Davies was once described as Hibs class on here and the person that said it got slaughtered for it Lundstram plays the season in 4 1/ 4s 2 good ones and 2 very poor ones. Sima and Silva are very average footballers with EPL experience behind them. Both came up here thinking it was going be easy. Dessers isn't any better than players like Waghorn so we are 6 seasons on and we are really no further forward than we were in the championship regarding our striker option. It's all just a big mess if we are all brutally honest.

im not sure either sima nor silva actually played in w
the epl

if so not much, maybe a few times, but i get some of what your saying, however its us who allowed celtic back in, can't possibly blame beale when we were on the verge of going clear then threw it away,

nothing whatsoever to do with beale,

Statement full of nonsense Tom.

Silva literally played EPL this season.

Youre saying you can't blame beale when its his signings that have bottled it.

The sitters missed by lammers, dessers and danilo (13m quid) alone this season would've won us the league.

Losing this league is not on clement. And if you believe it is then you need your head spun.

Your opinion some of which I agree, not all fans were truly confident but more optimistic and you would have saw that in the posts, Celtic did let us back in it and ultimately we don’t have the quality to see us through, but do you not think the manager knew that when he came in, he’s an experienced manager so he knew what he was taking on.
It’s evident there is a rebuild needed and they would have planned for two or three windows to get his own team on the park. I’m struggling to understand why the managers position would have changed since he came in till now apart from confirming what he needs and who needs to go, he probably also would have been surprised that we managed to claw it back.
Now on the flip side if a bigger club came in for him he may be swayed but expect him to be here, and lastly no manager is safe from the sack if results are really poor, let’s see where we are next season.

Beale threw us under the bus with his signings and the terrible start.
Clement worked wonders to get us back into competing but has now found out the limitations of the side he inherited from Beale.
This season is all on Beale and the players.
Anything else is a bonus under Clement.

Hmmmmmm?! Not sure about this poster?!

If we're looking at the black and white of stats, then I believe that PC's record is actually worse than Beale's, and that doesn't look good. PC has a trophy, whereas, Beale's only achievement was a BS record unrivalled by any other manager.

Right now we are a mess on the park, and if there is no CL money next season, then it will have an obvious affect off the field. For us to be self sufficient, we can't continue on with loans as that is nothing more than a vicious circle. After posting a pittance of a profit (before tax), which was after CL money, and high incoming transfer fees, then I dread to think what our profits look like with no CL money, and only Butland as a bankable transfer fee if we sell. Yes, things might get a lot bleaker than what we were all hoping for 6 weeks past.

Your not sure about me why? For speaking the truth?

20 apr 2024 11:17:13
thanks fir that tjn, total nonsense i talk, never knew if or how many times silva or sima played in epl, and that's exactky what i said, but, total nonsense,

beales players also took rangers to top of the league, suddenly that was clement, that's fine

same players lose top spot and manager changes team around every week with ridiculous team selections,

that's beales fault, couldn't make it up, , how does me saying i don't know if or how much they played in epl equate to total nonsense, ?

20 Apr 2024 13:22:43
That BS, MPH, and you know it! How is it all on Beale that we through away our lead in the league? Sorry, that is utter tosh!

20 Apr 2024 13:28:15
Wasn't convinced with Beale from the start and to be honest I haven't been convinced so far with Clement. Too much tinkering with the side.

20 Apr 2024 13:37:54
This Celtic team are admittedly bang average but to say they are worse than Ronny Deila or Tony Mowbarays sides is a stretch mate.

***threw***.

Did I just wake up after a seasons sleep? Lost the league? c'mon guys. keep the faith for goodness sake. True Blue support. aye tight. Take a look at yourselves some of you!

Yes, Beale has to take some of the blame, but we have been going downhill since we won the league title and the Board has to carry the major share of the blame for that with particular emphasis on the Chairman, (Parks), Wilson and Park.
The previous CEO also has to share the blame.
All of the above are now gone so it is up to Bennett to change things. We are seeing positive results off the park with Bisgrove as CEO and Clement and his management team are a breath of fresh air however we need ne investment and new blood in the Boardroom.

Mojo you have an opinion that doesn’t make it the truth
Beale set us up badly for the current season with bad signings and poor fitness.
Clement came in and galvanised the squad but he is finding out that the players we have cannot deal with the pressure of expectation so panic and freeze that can be the only explanation for the first 45 against them then Ross county and Dundee.
