Hi Ed033, any chance of a poll? Is Sunday's game a must win? Yes? No?
For me it's a must win, and nothing less will do. If we draw, or get beat, then our heads go down, they get a massive lift, and regardless of us winning our game in hand, they'll have the chance to go back to the top when we play them at the midden. If we can't get a result at home against them, how does anyone think we'll get one there?
We must stop the rot and register our first meaningful victory against them in the league since August 2021 (nearly 3 years)!

from season kick off everyone says every game is a must win, well we haven't won every game but here we are in a better position than most would have thought.

Obviously a win would be a massive statement, but let’s say we were trailing and salvaged a draw then I don’t think we would be looking at it saying that’s it if we have an opportunity to go back on top midweek with game in hand.
A defeat for me would make it extremely difficult and agree with that.

To me it is because if we can’t show we can beat them at home, considering we’ve lost the first 2, the phycological boost it will give them might just be to much to come back from. I just hope they go into this game thinking that we’ve worked so hard to get to this point, we cannot let this slip. I actually think if we can win this game plus our game in hand, they’ll drop more and the gap will only get bigger. We need to play our strongest possible team. If Sima isn’t match fit enough to play 90 minutes then I’d give Matondo 45 and Sima 45 in the LW. I’d play Silva RW as I know he played a few games for PSV there. And to take control of the midfield I’d play Sterling in midfield, instead of Diomande. These are just my thoughts- I’m probably miles off. Ridvan would be a massive boost.
Even the thought of loosing this game doesn’t bare thinking about! I think they’ll try and cut us open. I think they will score as we’ve been loosing really poor goals against lesser sides, I just hope they don’t score first because that’s when the crowd can work against you. I just hope nothing controversial happens, if we get beat then I just hope it’s because they were better on the day rather than a decision. And same if we win- or we won’t hear the end of it. Time for us to stop being unlucky losers and grab the game take our chances. Play confidently and aggressively without being reckless. This game will tell me a lot about our title challenge and some of these players. No cheap goals please. This feels like the biggest old firm game in years. Just hope we don’t blow it. I will be a bag of nerves walking into that stadium. I think we will win 3-2. It absolutely is a must win for me anyway.

No it’s not a must win. Our current position with the results against them this season prove that it’s not a must win. No doubting it increases our chances if we win but nothing is won or lost on Sunday.

Exactly correct Scotty, seems majority would concede leage if we don’t win despite enough points being available to go on and win league.

Tbh I think we are the more resilient team, I think we can gt at them, scales is a week point for me, Taylor can be 2, we need to be at it from the off, chances must be taken. Hope Yilmaz makes it, Goldson gives me the fear though, defence needs to be ready.

Why all the fear and doom and gloom with some all of a sudden, about playing them on sunday ? No one is saying we will concede the league if we don’t win on Sunday but 100% it’s a must win it’s crazy to think otherwise. Every game at rangers is must win. We won’t win every game but it’s still must win. Anything else other than must win is a losers mentality IMO.

A draw would not be the worst but would suit them more and would give them confidence as they will be big favourites at celtic so for me its a yes, must win.

Will never give up on league if we don’t win but it’s a must win game, possibly being five points in front at the start of the split will be huge then we have the opportunity to basically seal the league at parkhead, we pressure them high at IBROX and they will make mistakes especially with a packed bouncing IBROX roaring us on, take our chances and we score a few, was going to say if we could score from a corner but that’s a fairytale.

For me it’s a must win they already think they have a phycological advantage over us given there comments after the last game and nothing but beating them will shut them up we need the gap as after the split we have 3 very tough away fixtures.
