as with injuries showing us we where left a little short

We have Morelos, roofe, sakala, and probably Colak,
We mainly play one up top
At the time sakala was brought in to bed in and replace Defoe, his stats per minute second best last season. He will score 20 this season imo.
Advantage is sakala and Roofe do play off wing.
Let’s not forget many want Weston involved, I think better a loan deal see what he does.

John I would like us to sign two strikers as we all know Roofe is injury prone and Sakala is often deployed on the LW.
Unfortunately we were left short last season with injuries to our strikers, and had no option but to play Aribo upfront.
Probably for an outlay of no more than 4m we could bring in both Dallinga and Colak which is not a lot of money.

I am rapidly coming to the view that we bring in as few costly new signings as Gio feels necessary since hopefully by the start of next season we will have a number of our younger players ready for the first team. It is much more important to me that we secure Morelos and Kent if possible on an extended contract. Assuming we sign Colak then much as I would like another striker I am happy to live with what we have but I would like to see us sign a quality right winger. We haven't had a quality player on the right wing for years. I appreciate that Roofe can play on the wing but he is seldom fit and I don't see that changing as he gets older unless GVB has managed to find Davi Kinear's magic sponge, (that is one for the older bears like myself)!
I know that by failing to strengthen last summer we arguably cost ourselves a place in the Champion's League but there is no guarantee that we would have brought in the players that would have made that happen and thanks in the main to Gio's tactics we reached a European Final, (which may well have generated more income) . Our loan acquisitions did not work in January and if I am honest I would avoid any loans this Season unless they are on a loan to buy basis for a top quality player.

Very disappointing window we have kept our players so far. Other teams in league have strengthened. We have struggled to score against these teams, our final ball isn't always the best. We are playing lb in ch keeping goldso who can't commit. Season starting back on Tuesday and only the American boy. As a fan I'm disappointed that Gio hasn't put his stamp on the team.

Still hoping that we will sign Souttar and Doehki this window, it would also be nice if we could sign a right winger, i'm pretty sure that GVB has players he would like to sign.
In terms of outgoings, if we could generate some money for him and get him off our wage bill then I would be delighted to see Lundstrum go to Middlesborough along with Simpson!
Not overly impressed with Itten coming back, I just don't see him being suited to Scottish Football, (he is too easily knocked off the ball and is outmuscled by Scottish Defenders. I would rather have had £3m for him but let's hope that GVB can improve him!

1.Still half the month to do business anyway
2.We have brought some defensive cover in (James Sands)
3.Under the transition of a new manager we have yet to concede a goal with a left back at centre back
4.Signed Leon King to a new deal
5.We have players returning from layoffs etc Helander, Balogun
I get other teams are maki g signings around us but we need to focus on us and trust Gio will put the right pieces together when possible as the product on the pitch lately has been first class.

We’ve brought back Itten., like him or not it’s promising that Gio wants to see him first hand. I don’t see a poor player I see a possibly good one who didn’t get a fair chance! Could feel like a new signing, I also think quite a few have forgotten just how important some of his goals were!

SWS - Arsenal are flying high at the moment ( top class manager), and if I recall right they went through a period where they had a few bad results but STUCK by Arteta.
Think the majority of our supporters just want an answer sooner rather than later on the future of Gio and his backroom team, and to be fair we have had a horrendous amount of injuries, but should still be beating teams such as Livingston, St Johnstone, and St Mirren.
We have 5 weeks until the league resumes so ?the correct decision is made by the board.
