Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

15 Dec 2020 21:08:48
Danny Murphy reckons that dele alli could be tempted in a loan move to us. He would absolutely stroll it up here and it would be a massive statement of intent from the board but surely this is a non starter and the guy is just opening his gub with this sort of nonsense to get a reaction and to try and stay relevant.

15 Dec 2020 21:19:17
Am not see it happening, not even a loan tbh. Would love it to happen but as u say where has he got this from is it just to be controversial although Murphy doesn’t come across as that type. Doubt very much it would happen is he not on around £100 g a week.

15 Dec 2020 21:53:39
Just as Spurs are challenging for the title for the first time in donkeys years, that’s certainly a new on me mate.

15 Dec 2020 22:34:45
Tom Ali does not talk to Jose.
Story at start of week was he was headed to PSG.
Not a chance of him coming to ibrox.

15 Dec 2020 23:00:51
He hasn't made a match day squad since October.

15 Dec 2020 23:41:54
That’s fair enough John, I would doubt very much Scottish football is his next step, PSG possibly, cannot believe anyone could fall out with Jose though.

16 Dec 2020 00:39:11
A story from nothing, an idle thought from Murphy who actually said the player probably wouldn't want to 'take a step down' and it gets jumped all over. Calm down lads, we've a better chance of signing Comical Ali.

16 Dec 2020 03:45:54
Paper talk and just a pundits opinion that he might be tempted!

15 Dec 2020 20:52:24
Silly season has started Danny Murphy reckons stevie G could pull off dele Ali on loan.

15 Dec 2020 21:11:11
Just posted the same kja9. It’s never going to happen but could you imagine the timmies reaction, would be the biggest signing since Gazza.

15 Dec 2020 21:51:07
Not a chance! What a signing he would be If it wasn't pure fantasy.

15 Dec 2020 20:07:50
What a great season we're having team playing superb top of the league next round in Europe league etc

And once again we're having the same debate about Morelos
if I was in his team and this kept happening year after year I would personally pull him aside and give him a swift kick in the plums he totally deserved it
Continuously season after season letting down the manager who backs him his team mates the club year after year fed up talking about his stupid antics fed up watching his stupid antics and fed up with him having to sit in the bench once again. Through suspension and to think about the money he gets paid to play bloody football we're not sending him into war zones asking him to fight for our or his country
We pay him to kick a ball about and be an ambassador for our great club and once again he falls short
I really don't care anymore about his bloody goals or lack of them this season
We need rid of the huffy insolent little boy

The thing is there was absolutely once again no NEED for any of this
He left his leg out in the first 60 seconds of the game when jumping for a header which went out and there and then I knew he was at it again
Starting to think he really doesn't want us winning anything more interested in his own ego

Stevie if you ever read these pages
Do yourself and the club a favour and get rid of him he's not Rangers class proving it season after season
He could have been sent off we would have been down to 10 and may have dropped points giving them across the city a little confidence boost

Boys a total bloody idiot

Imagine any of us in here every year through your careers in what ever job you all are in and kept doing something stupid to hinder your colleagues and work place
Costing them money you. It allowed to work through your own stupidity how many of us would still be in the that same job?

Think we all know the answer he's a bad apple and bringing nothing to the team anymore apart from bad press and possibly could have cost us points once again

Not for me.

15 Dec 2020 20:36:43
I totally agree the stig, I'd like to boot his wee plums myself.

15 Dec 2020 20:56:14
And he’s been a bad apple for a long time now, even Gazza with his demons and behavioural issues never ever even came close to the man child, , someone will be seriously hurt by him one day, I hope he’s not wearing a Rangers top when that happens.

15 Dec 2020 21:01:42
He should remember he was an unknown in Finland before joining this magnificent club, put a smile on his pus and cut out his carry on.

15 Dec 2020 21:02:54
Certainly not a bad apple. That implies he's a disruption, which he's certainly not. If u ever watch any training videos etc he's in the thick of all the banter and carry on. he's popular among the squad. His discipline been great this season, 3 bookings all season I think. Rush of blood.

15 Dec 2020 21:09:36
Stig, sorry but can’t take your comments seriously since you threw in the towel after 5 league matches this season.

15 Dec 2020 21:17:53
If your getting yourself suspended every season no matter for a game 2, 5 or 10 it’s a disruption to who the Manager can pick while your suspended

No rush of blood - he’s supposed to be a professional football player who wears our jersey and gets paid to play to the top of his game.

No other player in the squad gets suspended every season he hasn’t learned can’t see around him how other players behave in our squad. there is no need to his antics there’s no explanation for his antics therefore there’s no need for him to stay at Glasgow Rangers
That’s a disruption in my book 🤔

It’s a shame because he will fade into obscurity when he leaves our club would bet on it.

15 Dec 2020 22:09:32
An occasional idiot? Yes! A bad apple? Not a chance!
Look, I gave him it tight the other day as I was so angry with him for letting himself down, but to say he's a bad apple, that's just not true! It's obvious the players, and management, love him and vice versa. Yes, they'll get frustrated with him, but that's it!
See If Alfie was scoring regularly, and was on fire, would some still want him gone? I let my emotions get the better of me the other day, but he's still my favourite player and will be until the day he leaves. Considering what the young boy has put up with getting abused in the street, constantly being run down in the media, ex players having a pop any chance they get, it's no wonder he reacts sometimes.
Guys, it's bad enough the abuse outsiders give the boy, so the last thing he needs is us abusing him. I feel terrible for what I said about him the other day, there's no excuses!

15 Dec 2020 22:11:30
Hwg, nobody said he isn't a smashing guy, in the dressing room, when everything suits him did they? Stig said he's a bad apple , and pointed to the ridiculous years long behaviour, that's a bad apple in anyone's eye ' years long mate, yet another assault on a players face with his arms, put this another way , if he had done this continuous for years for another club, what would you think of him, I have an idea, an undisciplined and arrogant little boy, although many more would, and do call him an animal, and players with a far better disciplinary record than alfie have been called that by many of our own fans, somehow this guy is being defended beyond all comprehension, I've witnessed many many good Rangers people hounded out of ibrox despite fighting hard fir the Jersey and sadly failing or not fully accepted by the fans, then there's this guy who can't get out soon enough and hasn't hidden that fact, treating our history of dignity and respect like its something for him to laught at, and that's what he's doing, its strange because its now obvious some on here know nothing about our clubs reputation and history and will defend this guy in whatever he does next ,

15 Dec 2020 22:43:42
TT, again you drone on about traditions and loyalty and yet you think it doesn’t apply to you.

True Rangers people stand above the noise, stay loyal and ride out the disappointments.

The people who matter at the club hold Alfie in high regard. He fulfills the role that is being asked of him.

Is he perfect? Is he the finished article? Is he a mature statesman like person? Nope but then neither was McGregor or Barry Fergusson or Gazza or many other imperfect players who wore our shirt.

15 Dec 2020 22:56:13
Tom

what a load of nonsense, in this day and age to call anyone an animal is just so wrong in every way. This guy kept us in the pack more than anyone else since he has been here. obviously you don't see anything apart from who has the ball on the field. he pulls defenders out of position, the other thing you don't see is the off the ball clicking of heels, pushes in the back and all the other nonsense that people claim to be part of the game. honestly i would love to see you on the field and taking the rubbish he takes. oh sorry you were a 30 goal a season player i forgot.

15 Dec 2020 23:28:13
Just on the subject of plums gents, I could do with some advice, should I be worried that one of my baws is bigger than the other two? 🤔.

15 Dec 2020 23:46:00
Played 11 s played 7s and 5s plenty of pulling hard and rash tackles fighting on the pitch etc etc and we were not even getting paid it was fun and love of playing football

Professionals now a days have all the protection form cameras to officials on side lines and referees he has no excuses
He gets the same attention as every other player playing for us
Kent gets. kicked about silly at times ends up limping about he park with amount of rash challenges on him you don’t see him getting suspended every season

And what about Morelos wanting to leave for well over a season now?
What about our manager saying on air he has had his head turned more than one occasion and even dropped him a game or two because of it? He’s a right good Rangers man 😃

And the only person droning on about traditions Is you DK19 yet you continually disregard these proud traditions when speaking to fellow supporters in this forum time and time again looking at your posts and reply’s your a disgrace at times and I’m very surprised by anyone who has time for you on here
You troll folk looking for arguments and looking for people to bite back
That in my opinion is dropping to the lowest end of the scale for a Fellow Rangers fan to think you can speak to a few low supporter telling them there opinions are rubbish and there not real fans
Honestly absolute disgrace to this forum and the Rangers family it makes me sick and I have held back for a quite some time now
Your an absolute embarrassment to the real fan base spineless with no back bone
Keyboard warrior with nothing but contempt and disregard for your fellow supporters on this forum.
No pony telling you to get a grip as I know this is what you are on here and in real life lowest of the low.
I for one from here on in will have absolutely no time for you or your comments sniping argumentative bullying tactics on this forum.
You can spout traditions and Bill Struth comments all day but you do not know the meaning of any of it and you never will.
Tolerance, sanity, anxiety stronger - you so not know the people you respond to what is in here life’s how they feel what there going through. Emotions - you have shown you do not understand any of them.
No need to reply as will not give it the time of day nor
will I look back for a reply.

15 Dec 2020 23:56:12
Dik, who says it doesn’t apply to me, pray tell me how Rangers history states we should support anyone who embarrasses our club on a regular basis, in nearly 60 following my club I’ve never known anyone else lIke this
You obviously don’t like me son so just ignore eh

Geese, I didn’t call anyone an animal, read again please.

16 Dec 2020 07:52:25
Do yous still worship gazza?

16 Dec 2020 08:22:08
Read Tomthumb12's post properly guys 🤔He didn't call anyone an animal 🤔.

16 Dec 2020 11:50:21
That doesn't suit the narrative or agenda Herewego55👍
Hypocrisy at its finest.

16 Dec 2020 13:38:17
Phew, now I know how Morelos feels - haters out in force!

Stig, it was just back in September that you wanted SG sacked and had given up on the league. I'm pretty sure that SG is a better judge of a player than you but you think you know better. Your previous posts indicate that you blow hot and cold on every subject depending on each performance

TT, I don't know you and I have no opinion about you but as above you think you know better than SG. i'm happy to let SG and the board decide whether Morelos is a good fit for the club and our team.

You have the right to criticise him and I have the right to disagree with you - but you don't like that.

Seem to remember you calling for a virtual hanging of our two C.V.iots at the same time saying it was ok for your family to visit during lockdown - that's up to you but double standards don't work on here or in life.

15 Dec 2020 20:07:27
Remember when the Dundee United player took a chunk out Morelos leg and got yellow carded? In the interview after the match Gerrard said "the rules are different for our players" no retrospective action that day because it was dealt with, with a yellow card, yet Morelos gets cited after it was dealt with? The SFA are a shambles, it was a red card but wasn't given but c'mon seems like Morelos.

15 Dec 2020 20:57:13
Morelos is a childish clown, no need for whatabouttery.

15 Dec 2020 21:21:53
Twisted the Compliance officer decided no further action was needed, so further action was taken but not used.

15 Dec 2020 22:00:14
So an attempted forearm hit is worse than being studded in the leg and broke skin and a hole in his leg?

Yeah he's daft for attempting to make contact but still 1 rule for 1 and 1 for Morelos is it not?

15 Dec 2020 22:09:31
It wasn't even a free kick? Yellow card must have missed it!

16 Dec 2020 05:43:54
All this crap deluded 1 rule for 1, 1 rule for the other. bloody grow up eh.

16 Dec 2020 11:00:18
Grow up?

Explain why our player got banned for an attempt at something yet their player took a chunk out Morelos leg and nothing happened?

Really don't get the "grow up" part of your message when it's a simple question.

15 Dec 2020 18:31:22
That's was correct decision 2 match ban but there needs to be more consistency.

15 Dec 2020 19:00:30
Totally agree, cringed when I saw it on Tv, red card all day but a precedence has been set now by the compliance officer and I hope it carries on for the remainder of the season and for other teams.

15 Dec 2020 22:13:43
Many other players have been done retrospectively, just Rangers are big news, will you be checking the others who been banned before making claims?

15 Dec 2020 18:02:51
Wonder boy Alfie gets 2 game ban (official)

15 Dec 2020 18:11:10
Yip, rangers accept alfredo morelos's 2 match ban confirmed 🤔The club couldn't do anything else but accept it fellow bears! When is the penny going to drop with alfredo 🤔 Absolutely deserved and stupidity AGAIN on his part! 😡.

15 Dec 2020 18:28:31
Wee all know it was deserved and have full faith in fredo to come back firing and will leave in summer a champion with all our best wishes.

15 Dec 2020 18:33:37
16 million all of a sudden seems a fantastic offer. Would be really surprised if we received anything like that now. PS, Does anyone know if the Rangers game tomorrow night is televised ?

15 Dec 2020 18:35:59
Wonder if Morelos will go in a huff again now? can't be doing with huffy people. Hope he doesn't have any regrets when he leaves.

15 Dec 2020 18:40:16
Of course they are going to accept it.
Technically only missing the one match ( Motherwell ) as I fully expect Itten and Defoe to start against St Mirren in the Cup tomorrow anyway. 👍
We've our best squad in years - well capable of coping with injuries and suspensions. 👍.

15 Dec 2020 18:51:15
Stuck I honestly thot you were in a huff due to the fact of your rare posts recently. Then I realised it possibly is because we are winning 😂👍.

15 Dec 2020 18:52:12
The game is on premier sports the morra night mate 👍.

15 Dec 2020 19:08:46
Morelos goals have dried up now he's frustrated again, getting subbed off etc. so guess what the petulant little man that he is resorts back to the behavior that embarrass himself and the club. let's hope it doesn't cost us! 16 million not a chance.

15 Dec 2020 19:22:32
How does it cost us King Walter?
You can't have it both ways. Wanting him dropped because he's off form.
Then blame him if we drop points or lose when he's suspended. 😩.

15 Dec 2020 20:20:20
Kingwalter 16 million u r right not a chance.
Robertson said at agm players will not go cheap so it’s still 20 million.

15 Dec 2020 20:43:27
Bluebell you can drop someone to the bench give someone else a chance but just say that someone pulls a hammy or worse is on receiving end of a reckless challenge and you then look to the bench and you could find your options are limited Alfredo's not there.

15 Dec 2020 20:46:50
John 25 do you really think anyone who buys Morelos is getting a bargain at 16 million? Come on your a sensible guy on here, hence they call you the voice of reason.

15 Dec 2020 21:00:45
Well said John mate you and me seem to be the only one not having a go at fredo these days a few on here have turned on him after backing him and the only reason they have turned is because he is in poor scoring form

15 Dec 2020 21:09:05
How’s he “ technically “ missing one game ? Because you pick the team do you, so if it’s a 5 game ban it’s only 2 because you wouldn’t pick him in the other 3,

15 Dec 2020 21:12:29
Nothing to do with his poor form as I can accept that! Its his poor behavior and selfish petulant acts that people can't tolerate.

15 Dec 2020 22:15:53
Kj why do you always feel that you can tell people " why " they feel like they do, I want alfie away ASAP, and its fxxk all to do with the fact he's very very poor.

15 Dec 2020 22:38:46
Molsgoals, I'm certainly not in a huff. At 51, I can tell you I'm very mellow. Its unfortunate, all you can do is slag off fellow bears You sound like an immature wee boy. Grow up my son and learn respect .

15 Dec 2020 22:39:33
Kingwalter I’m only quoting Robertson at today’s agm
KJ I go with managers view u see him begging up Alf in today’s press conference.

15 Dec 2020 23:11:05
Have a look at yourself some of yous Alfie is having a bad patch and some people are slating him, he's done hellava lot more good for us than bad, prob same people that we're slating our captain and telling us he's not rangers material, look how that turned out 👀.

15 Dec 2020 23:59:45
There’s bad patches, and deliberately getting yourself banned, he knew exactly what he was doing and he did because he gets away with anything, it really as simple as that.

16 Dec 2020 00:53:19
Going off post a wee bit here. Steven Gerrard Loyal, Have you seen my post about playing for Lanarkshire schoolboys? I think it was said on here that you represented them in the 60s? So did I, and I wonder what year it was you played as we might know each other. Maybe you could name some of the boys you played beside and against to see if it was the same year? It would be great to hear from you.

16 Dec 2020 08:54:56
Deliberately getting himself banned!
Jesus wept, I've heard it all now. 🙄.

15 Dec 2020 17:14:20
I posted after the hibs game that there was an agenda against Rangers, now the compliance officer has proved it, and people wonder why we don't support the national team.

15 Dec 2020 17:27:10
It's this type of pathetic paranoia that makes some of us just as bad as them across the city. There's nothing against us, and even if there was, then bring it on. We fear no foe. Morelos should have been escorted from the park by the police at the weekend never mind a red card. Had Stevie G seen it the way he now will have, he'd have subbed him immediately. That could have cost us 3 points. The guy is a loose cannon.

15 Dec 2020 17:28:47
Saying that Durranty, he was a total idiot and is now going to receive a 2 match ban. Saying that maybe a couple of games rest might do him the world of good!

15 Dec 2020 17:29:14
Ian durrant, I assume you don’t know the rules.

15 Dec 2020 17:30:45
no agenda--the red is deserved --he may as well start biting players --same chit different toilet.

15 Dec 2020 17:52:35
Don’t talk utter rubbish what has happened is correct.

15 Dec 2020 17:55:12
Common ian durrant, have a word with yourself pal! He did the crime and deserved all he got mate, forget what other club's players do. let's worry about US!

15 Dec 2020 18:07:49
If ALL other teams are getting their games scrutinised the way we get ours scrutinised with the same outcomes then fair enough but I don't see that they are. Paranoid? Not me, but I don't believe we should roll over and let them keep kicking us, do you?

15 Dec 2020 18:08:30
Rangers should just accept this 2 match ban, as it was deserved. Glagowrangersgooner, answer me this, why has Brown never been cited for various elbow offences this season, there is a clear hatred of our Club at Hampden, the best thing we can do, is win everything this season, and sicken them.

15 Dec 2020 18:11:05
Gooner - it never cost us 3 points though!
Do you analyse every game and think "that could have cost us 3 points"?
Another paid up member of the "could have" brigade.
Me? I just enjoyed the 3 points from a hard fought victory and the fact the Tim Apologists are raging he never got sent off at the time. 👍.

15 Dec 2020 18:39:09
Bluebell. what an ignorant way of looking at it. It’ll happen again and it’ll cost us. Like it has so often in past seasons.

Ivger. I haven’t seen any of their games so can’t comment. All I know is we got what we deserved in this case.

I may be wrong but I happen to think itten looks a better player anyway.

15 Dec 2020 19:26:05
What's ignorant about picking apart the nonsense you originally posted?
And you only "think" Itten looks the better player? If we need strikers to score goals to win cups and league's and progress in Europe you need to be a lot surer than that!

15 Dec 2020 19:50:10
Lucky its only 2 games. If the referee saw it properly we might've lost 3 points.

15 Dec 2020 19:57:38
Aye you’re right bluebell. I stand corrected. Cheers for making me see sense. Top man. Or lady. Or non binary. In fact, you could be anything and anyone but I for one absolutely adore you.

15 Dec 2020 21:03:09
Bluebell is correct gooner it never cost us it’s that simple.
He has cost us points before but he has also won us more points than he has cost us in the past and that’s a FACT.

15 Dec 2020 23:06:59
Durrant I agree with you to a certain extent there is an agenda against rangers in the sfa.

15 Dec 2020 17:07:31
I've been a fan for decades. As a youngster I even got to see Ron McKinnon and John Greig play. The three best ever were Cooper Laudrup and Gascoigne. All Rangers men and knew their place at the club never above it. The only exception to the rule I've ever seen is Morelos and he couldn't lace those three players boots. Must admit I'm still concerned he can't speak English after 3 years and he's just not getting it.

15 Dec 2020 17:20:01
Kfraser being honest and judging alfie against a striker mate, he wouldn't lace jermain defoe's boots!
Thats just being totally honest!

15 Dec 2020 17:32:55
Short memories lads boys scored loads of euro goals beat mcoists record of euro goals.

15 Dec 2020 17:49:04
Well said Coops, he's got man up and grow up. If he wants to go to a
" bigger" team like Lille good luck.

15 Dec 2020 17:59:09
Short memories indeed mate. But we've seen it all before on here when players are having a bad time, Tav was out for Patterson Borna was out for Flanno 😆, Goldson was useless, Davis legs were gone the list goes on. Supprt the lad if he starts firing we win the league simple.

15 Dec 2020 17:59:37
Not short memories at all Sirwalter54.He's done wrong and call it for what it is and get the blinkers off! Of course he was/ should be praised regarding the good things he's done for us, but don't turn a blind eye to when he's being totally stupid which could jeopardise all the good we're currently doing. He wants away mate and its more clearer now than ever it was 🤔.

15 Dec 2020 18:06:18
Honestly?

Some on here don't know the term loyalty!

Alfie was due a red card but got away with it but now our own fans are joining in with the anti rangers brigade to have him hung drawn and quartered.

I predict that he will be back scoring again in the new year and have you all looking pathetic in the same way as Tav has.

15 Dec 2020 18:10:08
So Sirwalter you reckon Sunday's performance and should have been red on 12 minutes is okay? He's barely scored this season but we cannot let his immaturity and petulance on a scale of unheard of dictate our team.

15 Dec 2020 18:15:36
I loved Gazza as a player but to hold him up as a moral beacon that Morelos should aspire to be with the off-field indiscretions he had is laughable! 👍
And a true Rangers man? I thought he was Newcastle daft?

15 Dec 2020 18:19:59
I hope to god he is DK19,but it doesn't take away the fact he keeps doing these stupid things which can put our club in jeopardy! R1,all those other scenarios you mention are completely different to what we're on about here regarding alfie! 🤔Think about it mate 🤔.

15 Dec 2020 18:21:22
Spot on dk19.

15 Dec 2020 21:05:03
Correct sir Walter and DK I am with you in this one too many fans turning on him and the only dress on they are is the fact he ain’t scoring if he was they would turn a blind eye.

15 Dec 2020 21:10:59
Couldn't have said it better bluebell. Gazza was the worst behaved player we have ever had at our club and being held up as the moral standard to reach. Beat his wife to a pulp, bullied eric bo Andersen relentlessly, actually urinating on him on more than one occasion 🤷‍♂️throwing a forearm at an opponent in an aerial challenge is obv so much worse tho.

15 Dec 2020 21:23:24
Do are you getting confused with his awful form and his ridiculous pathetic behaviour,

16 Dec 2020 00:45:00
How are they different? His on field behavior has been pretty good before the weekend so its performances folk are peppering him for and it's the same folk on here have bash our top players time n time again. The forearm was daft no doubt but some of the things said about the boy on here are a joke. People on about itten like he's on a level with Alfie (he might be at some point) he's scored 3 goals its insane morelos is our ALL TIME euro goal scorer 😆 but he's terrible apparently. I'll say it again if/ when he comes back to form we will be far better for it he's top drawer on his day. And if he goes in jan he will be a MASSIVE loss.

15 Dec 2020 16:27:36
4 questions allowed to Robertson from shareholders allowed only? Very Strange.

15 Dec 2020 16:32:50
Why?
How many would you have asked?
And what's the main question you would have liked to ask?

15 Dec 2020 16:46:42
Bluebell, is the car park still being sold for flats or is it on hold? Maybe you can answer.

15 Dec 2020 16:50:54
Yately not strange at all. We all had chance to send in questions.

15 Dec 2020 17:04:29
Car park has been sold.

15 Dec 2020 18:17:04
I leave the running of the club to those who have invested ( including small shareholders ) . 👍.

15 Dec 2020 21:05:27
Bluebell believe me we have no say in running of club. However I’m ok with that as I only wanted to attend shareholder meetings and eventually give them to my son.

15 Dec 2020 21:26:01
Like me you mean, and not so little either, I leave the running off at the mouth to those who are good at it.

15 Dec 2020 16:27:12
Team for St Mirren tomorrow night.

McLaughlin

Tav
Goldson
Helander
Barasic

Roofe
Arfield
Davis
Kamara
Kent

Itten.

15 Dec 2020 18:12:07
I would go with that Bankie, the only change would be I would keep Balugan in.

15 Dec 2020 16:26:30
Guys stop citing about Lego muncher. fact of the matter is it should have been a straight red card that personaly think he would have cost us 3 points. now it looks like it will be turned to red now. hope merelos is proud of himself as he's let every1 involved in rangers down because he can't co trophies temper once again.

15 Dec 2020 16:37:01
He's only let the panty wetters down!
He never got sent off so couldn't have cost us 3 points.
Could have scenarios don't Count in life👍.

15 Dec 2020 16:44:47
Remind me how many reds were overturned last season.

I have more confidence in our team and think we have the swagger to get 3 points even with 10 men.

15 Dec 2020 16:58:00
Daviie chill it’s football.

15 Dec 2020 17:01:32
That’s what £50m can get you these days Davie.

15 Dec 2020 17:55:36
Can you explain how he has cost us?

15 Dec 2020 19:38:38
Kja9.did you watch the game v dundee united. was closer than we would have liked and with 10 against 11 with the way the game played out I would imagine in my view a draw minimum. If you go re read my post properly before jumping on the slating bandwagon like most folk on here you would see my post clearly says. personaly think he would have cost us 3 points. comprende 🤔🤷‍♂️.

15 Dec 2020 21:13:11
If your maw had baws she'd be yer da.

15 Dec 2020 16:11:58
Coops, have you taken delivery of the Brian Laudrup Special Gin?

15 Dec 2020 16:47:25
I got my brian laudrup gin by courier yesterday mate, why have you received yours 🤔.

15 Dec 2020 19:15:57
Coops, no I opted for bottle of Black Label. Enjoy.

15 Dec 2020 21:13:56
Gins a ladies drink coops 🤣🤣🤣.

15 Dec 2020 22:30:10
Ladies and midfielders.

15 Dec 2020 16:04:36
So that's Morelos been done for his forearm smash on the United player. Arguably, the correct decision but where is the consistency with other similar situations over the past while? The Lego muncher gets away with worse every week!

15 Dec 2020 16:22:43
Regardless of other players it was a a deliberate elbow with second movement of his arm. I hope gers fine him wages untill he's available again. As I said in a previous post that he's a liabilty in a rangers team. a liabitly we just don't need.

15 Dec 2020 16:38:15
A liability the manager trusts in most games over Defoe and Itten?
In Gerrard We Trust👍.

15 Dec 2020 16:57:22
Bluebell1972,i've always been a big fan of alfie and have continually on here backed him to the hilt. But as the majority of us would admit we saw this punishment coming and he really deserved all he got IMO 🤔
Stupidity and petulant by morelos against scumdee utd on sunday, simple as that for me! He's not even looking at the ball as he's getting nowhere near the ball and decides to himself i'm leaving my mark on him with a forearm smash, because that's what it was! He only gets chosen over defoe because defoe is 38 years old now mate. Again IMO alfie will never lace defoe's boots in any aspect of football. Defoe was and a terrific striker with a terrific attitude and professionalism. I doubt very much alfie will get near what defoe was like in his pomp! I would love it to happen but it won't.

15 Dec 2020 17:21:47
SGL u come on and give us stick for not supporting tav, etc.
U r doing same running down Alf.

15 Dec 2020 17:58:27
Then everybody should be happy he's out the team for a bit 👍 " silver lining and all that"

15 Dec 2020 18:05:12
There's a massive difference your overlooking here John25 🤔 I'm having a go at alfie for yet again stupidity in his behaviour which could derail/ jeopardise all good we're doing this season mate. I think its two completely different scenarios 🤔I have always backed alfie on here and i'm a big fan of his ability, but you can't condone his attitude or stupidity mate. See it for what it is and its totally different to the tavernier situation of the way/ why supporters were running him down. Common mate 🤔.

15 Dec 2020 18:12:28
Can’t agree SGL. Yes it’s a red, yes he’s not playing his best yes he will leave, but whilst in a blue jersey he has my support
Have u had privilege listening to gerrard pre match conference on Morelos team display.

15 Dec 2020 18:25:08
How will it derail our season?
The vocal mminority on here want him out the team anyway.
Thankfully Gerrard agrees with the silent majority.
And it was nothing to do with Defoes age that he never played against Utd.
It's horses for courses - Utd were physical and that's when Morelos comes into his own and also why Itten was chosen over Defoe as a substitute.
And I've never said it wasn't a red - I just get fed up with the "could have " patter.

15 Dec 2020 16:03:34
Morelos cited. Appears Thursday.

15 Dec 2020 16:16:55
John25, Based on comments and hysterical media coverage this has received believe likely he will receive 2 game suspension. I would not disagree with that but do believe the coverage has been OTT and Broonie in a similar situation would not have been cited.

15 Dec 2020 16:59:40
Bankie forget others and let's look at our own and get our own house in order. Nothing condones what morelos did at tannadice pal! Absolute stupidity and not for the first time! 🤔.

15 Dec 2020 17:25:39
Bankie sort off. Many so called rangers men highlighted alfs actions . Only person to defend it was manager, as he is not likely to encourage a suspension for his own player.

Strange no mention of julienne forearm into Findlay’s throat on Sunday.

15 Dec 2020 22:31:40
Julienne doesn't play for Rangers, why would we mention him John.

15 Dec 2020 14:44:37
Have to agree I was one who rated Tav a lot less last year but glad to be proved wrong. Would like him to stay at least until end of the season to he gets his rewards fair play to him.

15 Dec 2020 15:25:15
I was one who said that if a decent bid came in over the summer it should be accepted. He has most certainly upped his game and is now absolutely undroppable for the time being! This time last year I would never have said this but he surely must be the first name on th teamsheet!

15 Dec 2020 16:28:15
Wee question bouncy . If you admit you wanted him sold last year ( and say we would have got 4 mill max ) and he’s now worth say 10 mill dies that mean by not following your advice we have made 6 million quid? .
Tongue in cheek but have you any other advice 😂.

15 Dec 2020 16:40:31
The same fans who now rate Tav after previously vilifying him, have now turned their attention on Morelos!
Strange football world we live in!

15 Dec 2020 17:18:37
I think there’s a difference with Morelos, Tav never slumped about the park like a child with his bottom lip out, let himself get out of shape and a bit less mobile and wasn’t doing absolutely crazy things to get himself sent off and put the team under pressure. All those who love Morelos, and I’m one of them, still can’t hide the fact that his stupidity will now weaken the team if he get suspended.

15 Dec 2020 18:14:03
Baz. Explain out of shape, less mobile manager and sports scientists say different,

15 Dec 2020 18:28:20
How does it weaken the team?
Plenty on here are wanting him benched anyway.
Not me though - I'm in the Gerrard camp where he is an important part of our first 11 and how we play. 👍.

15 Dec 2020 20:41:09
Tav is playing out of his skin at the moment and its due to not having the boo boys in the stadium and has the freedom to express his ability.

15 Dec 2020 13:15:08
Its testament to how professional james tavernier is, that after all the abuse our club captain took last year, from his own supporters may i add was way over the top IMO and the way he's bounced back to prove them wrong and how good a captain/ right back he is 👌The way he's playing ATM, whether its in scotland or not, he has to be easily one of the best right backs in europe just now! 🤔His stats are incredible and out of this world 👌So well done tav for sticking to it and proving how good you are 👍🇬🇧.

15 Dec 2020 14:49:23
Just for fun Supercoop and others, who is the best Rangers right back you have ever seen?

My vote: Sandy Jardine

Not just because he was a great player, but a great Bluenose and had class through and through.

15 Dec 2020 15:08:07
One of the best right backs in Europe?
Give yourself a shake. He is not even one of the best in england.

Best in scotland though.

15 Dec 2020 15:16:05
I'd say Gary Stevens. He could run all day and never seemed to make a mistake.

15 Dec 2020 15:17:52
For us slightly more experienced/ older rangers supporters, its very hard to not choose sandy jardine as the best rangers right back of all time 👌
However, i thought gary stevens is the best modern day right back i've seen playing for the glasgow rangers mate 👌.

15 Dec 2020 15:41:39
I’d say toss off coin between Eric Caldow and Sandy Jardine.
Tav would not make top five, easily number one in terms of goals and assists.

15 Dec 2020 15:49:53
Sandy in royal blue, could also chip in with his goals, remember being at the drybrough cup game and he scored a cracker only to be upstaged by Super Cooper. hope there both smiling down on us.

15 Dec 2020 16:05:43
Has to be Sandy Jardine, wonderful player and lovely man. He gave so much to our club.

15 Dec 2020 16:12:09
Separate I was there as well, that Cooper goal still best IMO.

15 Dec 2020 16:14:05
Alan Hutton all day long by far best right back wee have had.

15 Dec 2020 16:17:05
Yeah I noticed in that game Maradona scored his 2nd goal and the best World Cup goal ever, Gary Stevens is beside Shilton as he passes it in and must have had some view of that goal! All joking aside Gary Stevens was some fullback!

15 Dec 2020 16:20:09
Lovely post SE, recall Sandy saying exactly that although he did concede Coop’s goal was extraordinary.

15 Dec 2020 16:32:08
Slim it’s all about opinions but I would agree tav is one of the best in his position in Europe. It’s all relative however . are we talkin best two? Best 20 best 30 .
I would say he is in the top ten all be in the second half 👍.

15 Dec 2020 16:40:25
John25 Eric Caldow was a left back. Met him in the shop at Ibrox and what a gentleman I will stay in the time of Caldow and say Bobby Shearer.

15 Dec 2020 16:44:24
Forgot to mention that all this "best" whatever doesn't rally work, as football has changed so much, except maybe goalkeepers. In the 50s/ 60s full backs were full backs and not wing backs or any other term that be used.

15 Dec 2020 16:47:33
Slim, let's hear your top 3 RB in England right now and where you would put Tav in the 20 EPL RB's.

15 Dec 2020 18:15:34
Blue toon he played many many games RB and CB. Lb as well.

15 Dec 2020 11:47:53
Am I right in saying we can update our european sqaud in january. relise trying to accommodate jermain defoe was a problem as you need homegrown players etc but feel adding him to our sqaud would be massive. let's say realistically we have 4 games in europe left. if all our midfielders are fit I'd be tempted to replace possibly zungu with defoe or if edmondson is in the sqaud replace him.

15 Dec 2020 12:27:03
Edmundson not in squad. Manager already said Defoe can’t do Thursday Sunday due to age and impact on body.
We can change in January, depends if we sign anyone, I’d take out Stewart but he would need replaced by home association player, so that would be an issue.
Hagi another question Mark I suppose.

15 Dec 2020 15:33:40
I agree defoe can't do thu sun but time these games come round we may be in a lot stronger position in the league. I think defoe gives us another dimension up top and if were finding it hard in europe then taking defoe on for 30 mins may be a game changer. personaly I'd rather have defoe as a possible option against a european team than against likes of st johnstone where our strikers could take care of buisness. i'd like stevie to swap his mindset from defoe in the league to defoe in europe. may last only 2 games granted. Also relise the leagues priority but I'm also not saying defoe should play 90 mins but to have him as an option if were struggling may be a game changer in europe. if he doesn't play on thu then he's still available for sunday then.

15 Dec 2020 15:35:25
Correct John25👍
And yet some of the tactical genius on here believe he can play the Morelos role🤔🤭👍👀
Defoe as good a finisher as he is, is only effective with Itten or Morelos doing the hard work alongside him.

15 Dec 2020 11:03:03
Sorry lads, I might have missed a debate on the Europa League draw but what are your views on our chances of beating Royal Antwerp? I don't know much about them other than they won four of their six group games.

15 Dec 2020 11:49:49
Defenitly beatable, will be tough but if play to our strengths then hopefuly will be good time for us.

15 Dec 2020 12:27:42
Doiger tough game however I fancy our chances.

15 Dec 2020 12:38:29
One game at a time sweet jesus one game at a time that's all were asking of you one game at a time.

Anyone remember that song.

15 Dec 2020 12:40:42
Theyl b saying same about us ther no this far fur being an average team.

15 Dec 2020 14:42:51
Bluebilly. Lena Martell 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️🇬🇧👍.

15 Dec 2020 14:45:56
Lena Martell, no. 1 hit!

15 Dec 2020 15:17:41
What was the first line? I'm almost human? That was the mhanks version.

15 Dec 2020 16:09:27
Lena Martell on the Rangers forum, now that’s something.

15 Dec 2020 16:10:31
Seeker. I’m only human I’m just a woman 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️🇬🇧👍.

15 Dec 2020 16:34:54
First objective would be to get an away goal . then we are laughing.

15 Dec 2020 11:00:49
Lenny saying only his family is more important than winning ten in a row.

"Oh no it isnae" ( panto time) cause you have to "win" nine in a row to get ten.

It will take celts at least another ten years to try and win ten, even if we don't win the league this season (getting more and more confident we will now) (OH YES WE WILL) . (panto) .

15 Dec 2020 15:18:18
Correct bluebilly. No prizes for 8.75.

15 Dec 2020 08:35:56
So Tav has been through thick and thin for the club in 4 years, helped them improve etc etc. now with the chance of a league winners medal folk think he will up sticks n move on in Jan. please behave lolc.

15 Dec 2020 09:01:46
What makes you so confident that he would stay. Rangers are only his employer and if a new employer were to come and offer him treble the wages with a long contract his love for medals might deteriorate and his love for cash kicks into action for his retirement.

15 Dec 2020 09:30:43
Nobody will be going January what makes u confident he will move be summer if anybody move their on the brink winning things sure they want to stick around for that.

15 Dec 2020 09:42:48
I think there will be some players moved on in January, the likes of Middleton, Jones, Edmundson, Stewart and possibly Barker. The only regular starter I can see moving on is Morelos and even that is unlikely as no one is going to pay our asking price given his form and attitude! I don't think there is any chance of Tav moving at this stage, but the summer could be very different.

15 Dec 2020 10:08:59
I tend to agree with 3 cheers that money talks, hope Tav stays till we win some trophies tho.

15 Dec 2020 11:53:56
We all got our views on tav. stay or leave. leeds united are tavs boyhood team. tavs 28 or 29 now and if leeds come in for him then sign for them for more money to finish his career at his team or stay and fight for rangers. who knows his desicion but find it funny as hell how yous are slating each other for bot agreing with your views on it. who needs enemies when your on here eh 🤷‍♂️.

15 Dec 2020 12:43:57
Aye Davie be up to him an his manager what he does or doesn't .

True wi your last bit as well mate.

15 Dec 2020 13:10:44
Guys, I think that Morelos has killed his own dream and is becoming a nuisance in our squad, I know what he did in the past, but we're going back 18 months since he justified his wages, he cost £1 Million, so as it stands any figure over that is a bonus, just saying. Can we afford to carry him any longer with what we want, need to achieve this season, I would not risk him in a must win game in case he does something stupid and ends up costing us big time.

15 Dec 2020 15:59:10
Love to see if Tav ( and others) perform on front of 50,000 they way they currently are, no pressure.

15 Dec 2020 16:38:56
Irv he has only done something stupid in one game this season? Surly that proves he is learning?

15 Dec 2020 08:29:35
Morning Folks.
Hope all is well and the passing of some on the celtic forum is heartbreaking and I wish them all the best!

Now I will ask lol how can the SFA now be looking at the Morelos incident ( it should have been red) when the ref has already dealt with it on the day, a yellow Card. So anyone any insight to this? Cheers.

15 Dec 2020 09:09:49
Don't think the SFA or compliance officer can take any action re Morelos as the ref saw it at the time and deemed it a yellow. I believe they can only step in if the ref didn't see it? Could be wrong tho.

15 Dec 2020 09:44:47
My understanding is that since the ref made a decision on the incident it is deemed as being dealt with. However, the compliance tim won't miss the chance on dishing out another punishment.

To be fair though, he did deserve the red card for that assault!

15 Dec 2020 11:09:30
Guys learn the rules, compliance officer can step in if the think ref missed severity of incident. even if ref booked a player.
Last year they upgraded yellow to red, hibs, stmirren, st Johnstone player among others.

15 Dec 2020 16:40:11
Yes 100% again John.

15 Dec 2020 07:45:20
I was under the impression that as Morelos had been booked for the incident on Sunday that was the end of it? Now I hear they are readying a more severe punishment. Have the rules changed or is it just because it's us? Btw I thought it was a red, but then are rules not rules?

15 Dec 2020 08:05:55
The rules changed a couple of years back, Seeker.

15 Dec 2020 08:13:05
yeah they changed rules cple seasons back

the CO can now retrospectively increase or decrease a booking / sending off

it used to be if ref saw it and gave you a yellow that was that but not now

for what it’s worth i think it massively undermines the ref if he saw it deemed it a yellow but now they are saying we’re going to scrutinise decisions you’ve made and not just things you possibly ‘missed ‘

for what it’s worth i also though it was a red.

15 Dec 2020 08:24:20
The way Morelos is playing we won't miss him if he is retrospectively banned! However, I don't think overruling a referee's decision on the day is right and it should only be when someone/ or a club appeals.

15 Dec 2020 08:24:39
If they do give him a ban which he fully deserves then I think they would be doing us a favour. He's been rank rotten anyway and deserves a wee break from the team as that performance on Sunday was a joke. It will also give big Goldson a chance to overtake him in goals scored. It's a bit crap when your main striker has only scored 3 league goals and were in December.

15 Dec 2020 08:31:09
Banning an empty jersey does no harm.

15 Dec 2020 09:41:25
Great to see you supporting all of the Rangers players lads, especially when they've hit a barren patch in front of goals🤦
Let's hope we don't hit a bump in the road or some of you will be insufferable. 👍🙄
Oh and I'll trust Gerrard's team selection over everyone on here all day long. 🔴⚪🔵.

15 Dec 2020 10:26:21
I'm terribly sorry potato but my support for morelos has stopped. This is a guy who thaught he was away then downs tools and comes back unfit when the move doesn't happen. He throws his black armband away showing total disrespect to all the Rangers family and David Hagen. He's been given more chances than God knows what regarding discipline and should have seen red on Sunday right at the start of a match. He can't find the net or a first touch and misses the ball completely with his wild swipes. What a guy. You are welcome to give Alfie all your love and support but I'm not. The sooner he's away the better in my opinion. Trouble making untrustworthy sulky spoilt brat who now contributes very little. The only problem being is I think we are stuck with him because who wants or needs a guy like that in your team.

15 Dec 2020 11:18:46
I would, if I was RFC management be taking the compliance officer to task should the Morelos incident be reviewed. Yes it was a IMO a red card but the ref had judged on it and decided yellow. What of the Ross county player and the alleged verbal abuse issued. In these days of equality and political correctness I don’t think I have seen one report of a compliance officer investigation, just a Ross County internal review. how can that be right?
Maybe that doesn’t count? Is it ok to make such comments? Compliance officer appears to think so.

15 Dec 2020 11:27:56
Should have, could have seen red - but he never.
And we've had plenty disrespect Rangers over the years with their conduct but there isn't any morals in football due to the money involved.
And Gerrard ( the most important figure regarding team selection ) obviously still wants / needs him or he wouldn't continually pick him. It's not like last season where we didn't have options up front.
And Super Ally and Andy Little ( who's opinion I respect over yours ) both said recently they see nothing wrong with Morelos being huffy when he's been subbed. They said they'd be more worried if he was going off smiling!
As for discipline, Rangers have had 25 bookings in all matches this season.
Morelos - 5 bookings
Goldson - 3 bookings
Barisic - 3 bookings
Balogun - 2 bookings
When does Goldson, Balagun and Barisic become liabilities as they are more likely to give fouls away in dangerous positions?
I'll continue to support anyone who pulls on the Famous Blue jersey. 👍
You of course are entitled to support the team how you see fit, 3cheers🙄.

15 Dec 2020 12:31:19
Well written MR PH.
You see gerrard today talking about Alf. He ain’t dropping him soon, says more to any player than goals.

15 Dec 2020 15:53:28
Correct John25.
Gerrard's opinion counts the most - not us fans as we can all be fickle at times.
Some blinded by an agenda that they've backed themselves into a corner over it.
Any player who pulls on the jersey gets my full support even if I don't think they are playing well. 👍.

15 Dec 2020 16:46:03
I’m with you potato. Morelos does amazing laying off work and winning the ball. Stevie has ( in his own admission) asked him to do a different role, and it’s a testament to the player that he has obliged .
I would say 99% of the time Morelos is annoyed with himself . not the manager or his teammates .
His form regarding husks will return I’m sure.

Review Of The Day 15 December 2020

15 Dec 2020 07:39:03
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 15 December 2020

15 Dec 2020 06:22:10
So, Danny Mills thinks Jesse Lingard should "slip off to Scotland and escape the limelight". Does he think a big name like Lingard coming to the Glasgow goldfish bowl wouldn't be in any limelight? They have absolutely no idea down there. Ask big Shane Duffy how he's enjoying the quiet life!

15 Dec 2020 07:11:49
You only need to look at Maguire and Stones hugging at the end of the Manchester derby to see how timid the epl is, laughing and joking at the end probably at the fact they robbed another £100,000 for going through the motions in another piss poor game.

Too much money in epl and football in general! How can you motivate a 20 odd year old guy to perform like his life depends on it when he's already set for life!

15 Dec 2020 09:45:37
I wouldn't want Lingard anywhere near our team.

15 Dec 2020 10:02:31
Lingard is stealing a wage hopefully the tims shell out loads of money for him.

15 Dec 2020 15:19:54
Terrible attitude. Would fit right in over there.

15 Dec 2020 00:54:44
Tactics can be like stone paper scissors. You have counterattack vs long ball vs gegenpress vs expansive vs tiki taki

We play a type of gegenpress which is my favourite style.
One of the reasons I believe we have improved dramatically Is because this system allows us to play with players who not only have quality but it's there physical attributes which are blowing people away. What I'm saying is, I think this tactic more than others allows players of a certain quality still succeed whilst not have the best of games because of work rate and discipline alone.

15 Dec 2020 07:38:26
For those of us who are born before the late 90's 'gegenpress' is german for counter press and yes I had to Google it🤭 my favourite style is doggy🤣🤣.

15 Dec 2020 08:18:37
Lol bob. That gave me a good laugh.

15 Dec 2020 08:48:19
Woof woof Bob attacking from the rear. Any idea where the tiki taki style comes from?
Sounds like an exotic style of play from a Pacific beach bar.

15 Dec 2020 09:39:14
All I know cheers is it involves a false 9 dropping into the hole!

Hagi simply isn't good enough boys, he shouldn'tve been signed on one good night against braga and a winner v hibs, he was anonymous in plenty of games last season too, he is far too slow, others in the team aren't quick but can still move at a reasonable pace when we hit on the break, he doesn't fit in the system, doesn't work hard enough either, I think he has ability but just isn't suited to the Scottish game, and don't trot out assist stats which is possibly the most misleading stat in football, I'd love him to be a success but it's not going to happen, I'd be happy to get our money back.

If he does get sold then I'm all for fifaguy getting the deal done.
7 million plus add ons
That would be a nice piece of business.

I agree Hagi should be moved on. A lovely lad but unfortunately not good enough 🇬🇧.

Jack. I think Hagi just needs a year to get some power into those legs. Work rate needs to improve a bit and comes across as one who’s head goes down quick. I think he’ll come good, but if we were offered All our money back I would maybe sell and reinvest.

Hagi, another player who can be added to the write off list from some on here.
If some of you had your way the current first 11 wouldn't be playing for us and we'd have players like Shankland, Nisbett, Cosgrove, Power etc, with Steve Clarke as manager😳
Football is all about opinions, thankfully only Gerrard's count. 🔴⚪🔵.

What a load of nonsense! Hagi is a class act who was played out of position. He is a natural number 10 but was being played in a system that meant he had to play out wide! He is not a winger, he's never been a winger. Our system may not suit him but the criticism is OTT.

Do the bouncy I agree hagi very good, if he stays and I’d like him too I see a much better player next year.
I know he is working with sport science re upper body strength, which will help.
I’m not sure how u make him faster or if u can, however it’s his brain and the ability to see a pass that counts.
Eight assists against game time is excellent IMO.

If he had a different surname he wouldn't be getting the praise he does, he is slow, gives the ball away time and time again, as for the assists let's clear up this nonsense, most of them are basic passes which the scorer does most of the work for ie arfield v Dundee utd, if you have 2 players, player a dribbles past 5 players and puts it on a plate for the striker who misses every time he has no assists, player b plays a 5 yard pass to someone who rifles in from 30 yards then he has an assist so that stat is misleading, and yes Gerrards opinion is the one that counts, that's why he has hardly started in 2 months, I don't care about individual players all I want is for us to have the best possible team on the park and hagi isn't part of that in my opinion-also just because we are rangers fans doesn't mean we can't criticise our own as long as its constructive and isn't a ritual slaughter of every player in the squad, for what it's worth I think we have a pretty good squad with only hagi and barker the really weak links.
