Hagi's old man is apparently seething at his son's lack of game time and that he took no part in the Celtic match, and if he has his way his boy will be on the move - again. He has supposedly approached representatives of Red Bull asking if they can do anything with one of the teams they sponsor (control) .
His dad seems to have an unhealthy influence over the lad's career. He gave him his senior debut, made him captain of the team he was managing at the time when Ianis was just 16 and he is always lurking in the background. A rumour, but it does come from Romania.

1.) 19 Apr 2021 06:59:25
Said it long ago, and il stand by it, the boy will go through many clubs in Europe, never settle or hold a position down, it will be about money,

He’s that type of player, never ever worth what some here seem to believe, mainly based on about 10 great passes.

2.) 19 Apr 2021 09:50:40
Agree tt don't think he's anywhere as good as some believe.

3.) 19 Apr 2021 10:32:18
And yet Hagi stepped up and delivered goals and assists when others were playing poorly.

4.) 19 Apr 2021 10:57:44
Tom I think you’re right however I would say I think hagi has a decent football brain and has obviously worked hard developing his skills and has a good work ethic. I just don’t think we play a system that suits him. I think he needs to be in the middle linking midfield and striker type of player. I do believe he will finish his career much traveled.

5.) 19 Apr 2021 12:59:17

6.) 19 Apr 2021 13:46:43
That’s true deeb.

7.) 19 Apr 2021 16:30:19
Think your being a little harsh on hagi TT. Don't think many on here claim he's a world beater but he's a good season.
He's played 40 games so far this season, 7 goals, 12 assists.

8.) 19 Apr 2021 16:46:41
I like Hagi great wee player at our level, can only improve and make us money same as Kent in that he’s been inconsistent and lightweight since he arrived but will improve have a belter of a season next season and move on for a decent wage for us.

9.) 19 Apr 2021 17:30:02
Stepped up? .

It’s what he is paid for, stepped up indeed, amazing what my name can conjure, he’s playing for Rangers on very big money, he can’t get a game, he’s expected to “ step up”

Do you think Rangers pay him for nothing?

Deep, who said a word about airfield?

kJ, have a lie down warrior.

10.) 19 Apr 2021 17:49:39
😂 tom.

11.) 19 Apr 2021 18:06:37
Hagi has talent that's clear to see but what the boy needs is a few seasons at the same club where he could settle in and develop. Unfortunately I think his father's influence will destroy his career. Moving for financial not footballing reasons. I think give jim couple years with us he will be a top attacking talent.

12.) 19 Apr 2021 20:47:45
What do the stats say about Hagi this season?

Hopeless or maybe integral to our goals against certain types of opposition?

Different opponents need a different approach.

13.) 20 Apr 2021 08:15:30
Hagis 21 don't forget. he has most certainly played his part since he's came to gers. Remember braga for 1. if Paterson has couple bad games we gona sell him too.

14.) 20 Apr 2021 10:18:32
Hagi is good for us, but certain games don't suit certain players. If we played a 4-2-3-1 i'd see Hagi getting more games in the No10 but in big games when we go for 3 sitting in the middle he will always be sacrificed because wide right of the forward 3 doesn't suit him (or another way of looking at it is that Aribo is a better option out there) . Gerrard got his tactics spot on against Celtic. Aribo was excellent in the forward right role and Arfield gave more bite in with Davo and Kamara in the middle.

15.) 20 Apr 2021 13:31:37
I didn’t say sell him did I?

I said he will get through plenty of clubs because he’s that type of player

16.) 20 Apr 2021 14:20:20
I think hagi will still be here next season, he will progress and play a bigger part for us, remember the likelihood is that Kent will be going to Leeds for £15+M so hagi could take his place with another young promising player coming in to challenge him.
I do see him moving the following summer probably to Italy for decent money. I then think he’ll end up in Spain after that. He’s a technically very gifted player with a great brain and good numbers many clubs would be interested in him when he finds his top form.

26 Mar 2021 15:04:37
An old colleague who has retired to Bodrum in Turkey tells me today there's a story kicking round there that Trabzonspor are interested in signing Borna Barisic. Probably just throwing names out to keep their fans happy, which is a sport in itself in Turkey.

1.) 26 Mar 2021 16:02:38
I honestly think borna barisic could well be sold because of age and sell on value will start diminishing soon 🤔I however hope to god we don't sell borna, as i truly believe he'll be one of the most difficult to replace 😂.

2.) 26 Mar 2021 16:13:40
Think personally myself borna with coming up to 30 will want a big move to a top league b4 he retires.

3.) 26 Mar 2021 17:30:34
Borna will not be leaving for a club like Trabzonspor.

4.) 26 Mar 2021 19:22:10
Dk19 how do you know lol. fact is you don't know.

5.) 26 Mar 2021 19:38:04
Just an opinion DD same as you and everyone else on here - trust that’s ok?

6.) 26 Mar 2021 20:43:20
along with a rumour? surely dk!

7.) 26 Mar 2021 22:09:19
Roma apparently where he will be gong.

8.) 27 Mar 2021 09:03:27
I think at Borna’s age he is more likely to stay to play champions league football win trophies and play for a club he loves.

9.) 27 Mar 2021 09:45:16
Like a lot of our players the Euros could be pivotal. If any perform to a high standard we might cash in.
I want all our top players to stay but we do need to be prudent and the odd £10-20m player sale strengthens our bank balance and options to replace players.
In a perfect world we qualify for Champions league group stage giving us an opportunity to strengthen again further.
How this squad has evolved value wise in 4 Windows is remarkable.
Kamara £50k, Aribo dev fee, Barisic £2m, Kent £7m umpteen brilliant Bosmans and Alfredo before that for £1m squad must be worth £50-100m easily.

07 Dec 2020 19:38:40
I have just heard that Michael Gardyne is being investigated by the SFA compliance officer for calling Buff a 'faggot'. Is this correct?

1.) 07 Dec 2020 20:25:14
It is meant to be a homophobic slur that he said.

2.) 07 Dec 2020 22:03:14
If that is the word used and the ref deemed it only a yellow card offence and the county manager knows that's what was said (he commented the ref had told him) then they both need hammered big time along with the player.

3.) 07 Dec 2020 22:25:31
I watched kettlewell being interviewed and he clearly said the ref told him gardyne was booked for dissent, nothing more.

4.) 08 Dec 2020 03:11:39
That's garbage. for 1 ref booked him for the challenge. Kettlewell also never said that but said he he will find out from the player what was said lol. some lies you spout for god sake.

5.) 08 Dec 2020 08:00:23
Daviedouglas sorry fella but before you come on and call other peoples posts garbage then should maybe check first. The ref booked VIGURS for the challenge as that was who made the challenge

Gardyne was booked for " inappropriate language"

6.) 08 Dec 2020 08:59:11
Cheers JBF.

And if you bother to listen to him after match he said the ref told him what was said and they will investigate with the player to see if that matches up.

Look up the BBC if you need any clarification. Managers do more than one post match interview Tom mate. Don't be so quick to come on and shoot folk down.

7.) 08 Dec 2020 09:23:35
daviedouglas! "That's garbage"?
No, it's not, it's a fact!
Always best to check your facts before having a pop at someone on here or it will come back and bite your backside.
When it comes to spouting garbage, I would say a good example of that was the poster who proposed we loan Morelos out to an EPL club and insert a 50 million buy out clause into the agreement. I can't remember who it was, but maybe you do? Now, that's garbage!

8.) 08 Dec 2020 12:40:11
Snell Stevie G said the ref told him he didn’t hear what the player said.

So you calling stevie G a liar or kettlewell?

9.) 08 Dec 2020 12:53:54
I'm not calling anyone a liar mate.

Like I said, read the comments on BBC from Kettlewell.

10.) 08 Dec 2020 15:07:46
Cheers BMGH

11.) 08 Dec 2020 17:52:04
Context is every thing the amount of Times that n get up ya p**f will be used in football will be loads it’s used lots n never really meant to offend I agree there is no place for it in professional football but the world is going to pc if that’s what was said then I think a yellow is fair.

{Ed001's Note - seriously?? Too PC because they object to a highly offensive and derogatory term? Then people wonder why no footballer will admit to being gay.}

12.) 08 Dec 2020 18:07:00
Watch the interview from stevie G he said the ref told him he didn’t hear what was said so one of them must be lying.

13.) 08 Dec 2020 18:29:16
I’m certainly not calling anyone here a “ liar, I’m just saying kettlewell said on the pitch that gardyne was booked for dissent and Gerard said the ref told him he didn’t know what was said . That’s wh They said.

14.) 08 Dec 2020 18:51:21
No worries Tom, like I said there are several interviews after a game so might have seen different ones. It's mainly the 50 million wonder boy that needs to check facts before jumping in with both feet.

KJ mate what interview was that with Stevie G? I saw the sky sports one where he said he didn't hear but didn't mention the ref not hearing. Maybe another one he has done?

Although someone in professional football using the term didn't see/ hear to avoid a situation wouldn't be a first mate would it 🤣.

15.) 08 Dec 2020 19:02:12
Snell, how does me saying what I seen in a pitchside interview “ shooting “ anyome down mate, the manager clearly said the ref booked him for dissent and didn’t know wwhat haws said but he would ask the player for honesty, is it ok for me to say what I seen with my own eyes?

16.) 08 Dec 2020 19:10:11
Aye fair enough Tom I apologise. I was only reporting what I saw, with my own eyes too and felt it was being dismissed.

Posted the link to the article I saw which clears up any doubt from my end, so let's call it quits and move on. Not saying you didn't see what you said you did mate 👍.

17.) 08 Dec 2020 20:02:04
No problem snell, and obviously you’re correct in managers saying something pitch side and then a different version later, , neither manager said on the pitch that the ref knew what was said, a prepared statement is often a changed version, cheers mate.

18.) 09 Dec 2020 06:39:05
No probs snell it was the sky interview straight after the game with SG.

Grand scheme of things it doesn’t matter really.

19.) 10 Dec 2020 11:55:23
I saw interview with Sg on sky u r right. Strangely gardener booked for an offensive remark.

18 Apr 2021 18:28:43
It was refreshing to hear the French commentators on L'Equipe calling Aribo and Kent 'majestic'. Guys know their footballers alright.

1.) 18 Apr 2021 19:41:41
When they are up for it, they are both spellbinding, Tav. 👍.

2.) 18 Apr 2021 20:21:32
Some flair players are sometimes asked to do jobs which don't allow them to express themselves.
Some flair players are sometimes marked out of games as three or four opposition players line up to take turns at kicking them.
Some flair players find long spells of games passing them by because their team can't utilise them as they are so tightly marked.
But even then they are spellbinding as we excitedly wait for that one magic moment that separates them from the ordinary and wins games.
It's sad that so many (not you! ) on here cannot see the joy in having two such players in our team. How many have chosen their 'teams' in the past season and omitted one or the other - or even both - of these mercurial talents? 👍.

3.) 18 Apr 2021 22:14:41
Yes tav u r so correct. Two fantastic players.
Also did u here SG saying second half joe aribo had to sacrifice his game and play on the right line to stop fullback coming at us.

Also beavers how arfield was asked to be in face off mcgregor and brown so they could not dictate from the back.

22 Mar 2021 23:56:04
A friend has just told me that we have a total of more than 30 players out on loan. Can anyone tell me if this is the case?

1.) 23 Mar 2021 12:19:33
Not sure it’s as many as 30, however we’ll over 20, vast majority of reserves and over 18s out on loan. Because no reserve league due to C.V..
That’s why I ask what academy players do people saying we should be playing,
Only possible two are king and Paterson who I consider first team squad player.

2.) 23 Mar 2021 13:29:24
Seems it's actually 31, John, so not many left to introduce to the first team, as you say.

3.) 23 Mar 2021 14:08:43
Tavs exactly, Wilson said in December we would get as many out on loan as possible as there was to be no reserves this season
Any one know much re a young lad Rory Wilson, hearing Man City Barcelona want him.

22 Feb 2021 20:09:25
Something to think about:
Neil Lennon has never won a league title as celtic manager without either:
Rangers having a points deduction
Rangers not being in the league
The title being given to them by a vote.

1.) 22 Feb 2021 20:34:03
No need to think about it tavson mate, Lennon always been a chancer even as a player never mind pretending to be a manager.

2.) 22 Feb 2021 21:35:31
Personally think the guys doing a great job.

3.) 23 Feb 2021 00:36:07

4.) 23 Feb 2021 01:15:19
I suppose he won the title when Brendan walked out half way through a season🤣 that's the most credible one he has won. Long may he stay!

5.) 23 Feb 2021 12:15:21
Cant wait to see his rebuild👌😂😂😂. N drop in players values getting shipped out.

10 Jan 2021 19:06:47
Today just confirmed for me that Steven Davis will be almost impossible to replace when the time comes. His positioning, his distribution, his composure, his willingness to support, he is a Rolls Royce of a footballer and nobody we have at present could bring to the team everything that he does.

1.) 10 Jan 2021 19:16:52
100% agree.
Total footballer and magnificent professional.
No idea who could fill those boots.

2.) 10 Jan 2021 19:18:44
Tavsonloyal 100% agree Davis should be our players of the year as he is definitely our MVP ok tav and others get the goals, Davis is pivotal to all things we do.

3.) 10 Jan 2021 19:34:51
I’d have Davis until he’s 45 before I’d have Ferguson in our squad.

4.) 10 Jan 2021 19:39:56
Always wants the ball never scared to take it in any situation. 👏🏻.

5.) 10 Jan 2021 19:52:44
Will likely take a lot of money to replace Davo or a real outstanding job by the scouting team and Ross Wilson. I was one who thought he was past it last season thought his legs were gone but he was just carrying an injury. Has been outstanding this season. Tav poty for me though.

6.) 10 Jan 2021 20:00:04
Not sure I agree really. Not about how good Davis is, he is class, but we have a ready made replacement in Kamara. Depends if we can keep hold of him but I really do think they could be quite similar players Kamara’s career progresses.

7.) 10 Jan 2021 20:17:27
Davis and shagger only came back for one reason, unfinished business.

8.) 10 Jan 2021 20:17:52
I've continually on here stated, even last season that wee davo is a thoroughbred of a midfielder 👌.

9.) 10 Jan 2021 20:41:46
The wee man was immense again today. Wish he was 10 years younger. Kamara also strolled the game. Steal of the century from Dundee.

10.) 10 Jan 2021 22:49:03
I was begging for SG to take him off at 60, and wrap him in cotton wool and ice cubes.
Last few games he has been immense. Even at Aberdeen goal today he chased 40 or 50 yards to try and stop what we could all see was happening.

06 Dec 2020 18:30:14
Another happy day in our Rangers world! I posted last night that I still get the fear before every game and this season after every game I've been elated as Rangers buried my fear. I must say when Broxi Bear called me a Celtic fan after my post I was disappointed and angry, but that charlatan obviously knows no better than to hurl insults. On we go, guys, towards our first trophy under Gerrard, and you know it could me more than one this season. Treble? Don't get my hope up, I'll still have the fear!

1.) 06 Dec 2020 19:04:27
Fear no foe tavson
Sleep easy 👍🇬🇧.

2.) 06 Dec 2020 19:20:07
Respect All, Fear None.

3.) 06 Dec 2020 19:27:09
Treble? Were in 4 competitions tavsonloyal = quadruple LOL.

4.) 06 Dec 2020 20:02:01
Tavsonloyal I never actually said you were a Celtic fan I merely implied that it could be possible because you had said in your original post that we were looking to win our first trophy which all the Celtic fans seem to think is true. I also said that if I was wrong that I would apologise, so here I am mate. Apologies if I’ve offended you. Welcome to the page and here’s hoping we win our 55th league title this season 👍🏻.

5.) 06 Dec 2020 22:00:28
Thank you for your apology. You did offend me, especially with "the ramblings of a bitter Celtic fan still clinging to lies" which I thought was far more an accusation than an implication. Maybe we can put it behind us now and concentrate on being proper Rangers fans.

6.) 06 Dec 2020 22:48:49
Broxi bear, well done mate.

Contacts tell me (told me last season too) that the price is £18.75m and that the club has never wavered from that valuation. It could, though, include all expenses and fees, meaning we would net about £14m.

If his wage demands are over the top, considering we gave him the opportunity to play at European level, then he goes. He is not our most important player and can be replaced. £5m and it's thanks and cheerio.

dd1980 where did I say the SNP reported it? I said the Freedom of Information material came from the natsis who despise our club. Try reading what people actually write and not what your fevered mind wants to be there. As for saying the media has nothing to do with the natsis, where have you been for the past ten years? The media are in the pockets of SNP and have been since even before I retired from the media.
