Thursdays game is a must win and nobody will be rested. There is the small matter of winning the group at stake and also 1.5 million quid if we do win. Our strongest team must start then we can worry about Sunday after Thursdays game. Come Sunday our strongest 11 should also start. We have the fittest team in Scotland and playing 2 x 90mins of football in a week shouldn't be a problem. We are destroying teams on Sundays in the league and players are getting rested anyway usually after 60 mins. We have strength in depth and it's a joy to watch us dismantle teams with ease on Sundays helped with Celtics embarrassing super Sundays.

I believe one or 2 should not play, mainly due to my belief that these are the kind of games we’re players get injured and that’s a long held belief after 50 years seeing it happen, but it’s not quite “ must win “ it is however very important, I would rather win with 3 fringe players involved than risk serious injuries to key men, but that’s just me.

I say we play our strongest team possible! I also say every time this season we play ( and we’ll play for more games than the mhanks) that we play our strongest team!
We have a squad that SG has built past two seasons to cope with this and the that’s the managers words so I feel every single game needs to be the strongest possible .

As the man says, what is our strongest team? Maybe we could play Poznan without Davis or Aribo and play on Sunday with those two plus Bassey and Zungu Defoe and still be very strong? The manager now has a squad of players that has us all salivating and arguing about who to leave out - what a terrific dilemma to have after years of arguing over what grade of dross was better.

Stated i felt defoe would/ should have started against ross county on sunday there 🤔I'm saying again i feel defoe should start against scumdee utd on sunday. I'm a bug fan of morelos and anyone who's read my posts will know that, but here comes the but! I thought again against ross county he looked very disinterested and just going through the motions.
He was no more than a 6 on sunday there and i personally was disappointed with his application and performance 😞 He's better than that and he just looks disinterested to me now and imo was our least best performer on sunday, as i'm being kind with my words here 🤔.

Rangers started the Celtic downfall by totally dominating them on their own patch, now we can complete the job at Ibrox.

Celtic know we are too good for them this season, keep this going till the January game and we will be just about out of sight.

Celtic fans good enough to chase busses but not so good at chasing the famous.

Just found out the singer who died was one of two original lead singers in the band, the other member is still alive. I don't want to cast aspersions on the guy, but check him out on wikipedia. There's a chance he could be a celtic fan? 🤣🤣🤣

Who do we go with on Thursday imho we must go with the same team that started against S. L. to top the section would give us an hopefully better draw I think that there will be a few big clubs dropping down from the C. L. and make it a very difficult draw if we don't equal Benfica, s result.

I agree John, SG himself has stated the Financial Benefits from Europe are very important to the Club, we just need to take one game at a time, as SG has been saying all season, let the others worry about us, let's win this group on Thursday night, then we have two months with nothing but league games.

Two questions i'll throw out here to my fellow bears. Both our full backs are very crucial to how gerrard wants/ has rangers playing and are terrific, attacking full backs 👌 Here's the toughie guys, in your own opinions although one is a right back and one is a left back, who is the better all round full back, james tavernier or borna barisic 🤔
My next question how many on here would want our former young midfielder billy gilmour back on loan, if it was possible?

For me BB is the better all round fullback! Taking nothing away from our captain, And its a no from me on Billy i'm afraid! Chased the money, although that's his right! It doesn't sit well with me.

Borna is the better player. Tav has had an unreal season so far butnhas taken him a lot of years to get there. Borna final ball is amazing. Both have had there critics. Wasnt so long ago nobody wanted borna to play. also tav labelled worst captain, terrible defender etc. credit to both for getting the head down and comimg back to life.

Difficult one, mate. Both are as important to the team, however, Tav has the greater responsibility as captain. If it's down to natural talent then it's Borna.
I stated on here that you'd be hard pressed to find a more effective wing back pairing in the UK than these 2. I wasn't saying they were the best in their positions, but more what they bring to the team with goals, assists, free kicks etc!

Coops good question but I reckon Barisic. The one thing I'll say is that the Rangers style of play looks a lot like Liverpool.

Kfraser, both our full backs tav and barisic do the exact same job, as alexander arnold and robertson do for liverpool. The styles of the 4 full backs are very similar mate 👍.

I was on SSB a couple. year ago talking about why Scotland don't play young players, BG. Hornby etc. We. must think we are so rich in ability in the bodies we had n tried so much. No idea why we don't be these boys in and around squads n camps. They are good enough as proven in their u21 level so perfect time to. step up and see if they can do so at the level above.

First question - Borna by some distance.

Second question - Yes, although as others have said, he wouldn't fully develop his talent here against teams like Ross County and St. Johnstone.

He'll be in the Scotland Euros squad, very possibly in the starting lineups. Fantastic potential.

I don't get the Tav doubters on here.

Both Tav and BB have made defensive mistakes during their time here.
Both have been caught out of position (at least in part due to tactics)
Both have a great cross in them (Tav has more assists)
Both take a great free kick
Both have been confidence players in the past and reacted poorly to the boo boys
Tav is far more robust
Tav scores a shed load of goals
Tav leads the team
Barasic is an international but would Tav also be an International if he wasn't English?

Too close to call for me on ability but Tav offers more to the team.

I can't actually believe the negativity that Tav still attracts from our fans. I really like both but I would not be so disrespectful to either to say the other is miles ahead. What I would say is that I feel Tav is way more important to us at the moment, just the sheer number of goals he contributes, and also the fact we have an able deputy in the left, i'm not quite as sure about the right.

As for Gilmour its a big no from me. I have no interest in us developing other teams players, especially if there is no option to sign them if they perform well.

I was reading an article by neil mccann there regarding how good and how highly he rates james tavernier 👌 McCann says he's gobsmacked that rangers haven't as yet received a big bid for tav🤔He also states his stats show up even better than tierney's and he went to arsenal for £25million🤔He says rangers should brace themselves for bids coming in for tav in january, from english premier league clubs, i hope not 👎😞.

shows how far they have come, actually thought last few games Borna was poorer than he has been recently. however still a great performance from both. No one better with a left peg than Borna. however been really impressed with Tavs deadball efforts recently too. as you all say, we are privileged to have both in the squad/ .

As to loan players I would rather move away from them unless it was a try before you buy deal. I don’t think we get full benefit from loans and they tend to keep our youngsters out. Appreciate they had a place but as we improve our strength should be based on our assets. look at what’s happening to the east end lot, % of their problems stemming from loans IMO.

We have the two finest marauding full backs in the country, both great crossers of the ball, both with immense engines, both highly influential in almost every game, two warriors in Rangers jerseys. A bit early guys but last years post.

MY SEASONS GREETINGS RE PRINTED.

This our season to be jolly.
Even though we need some lolly.
Some mill is what we need my friends.
To get us till the season ends.
It's not a lot in footballs clout.
And we will get that there's no doubt.

Our season tickets gone and spent.
We've got enough to pay the rent.

It's been a struggle for many years.
