My take is we need one or two proper no nonsense, experienced centre half's, a right and left winger and a proven number 9 who can control the ball. And an experienced CM who is a cool head. 5 - 6 starters are required before anything else. That should have been what we done first instead of all the projects.

Best part of £20-£25m needed there then to get what we need Orange.
Unfortunately we don’t have that cash. We are in a position now where we can’t even have a net spend due to the poor financial situation we find ourselves in.

Hard to do that with the current situation. Can’t bring in 5,6 top players who will be earning on the higher scale of the squad and cost more money when we have 7/ 8 players on 20k plus a week who need shifted first.

I think the money is there to spend 25/ 30 million. Just the fair play regulations as a hold up for the time being. Flog a few first.
