My brother in law is a Hibs season ticket holder so we talk about Bowie slot and his feeling about Bowie is he's a good player likes a battle with defenders but a lot of the time doesn't find himself in goal scoring positions.
Could be because of how hibs set up.

We should be looking at Chelsea for centre half's
Their record of bringing through central defenders is best in league and I can't think of any in Europe better at continually bringing defenders through.

Hi John, I watched Bowie a couple of times.
He's tall (about 6ft 2in) and quite strong.
He is able to mix his game up, taking it in or running beyond.
He's a leftie and seems to have some power and pace.
So there we are, the old fashioned TIPS scouting system (Technique, Intelligence, Pace, Strength) is in his favour.
Will he bring goals?

Deary me, once again the attacks on people providing rumours is a complete joke.
There are loads of fans that hold back from the site because of this. It took me years before engaging, fairly new poster but toally p's me off reading that stuff. I'm on hear to hear rumours, perhaps give some views on the rumour and have a laugh but no wonder some posters go offline. there are a few ITK that aren't posting right now - no wonder.
Admin, surely there are rules of conduct or simply you don't approve the post? I'm not having a go at you as we appreciate the work that you do. However, as a site I think we would have more rumours to debate if we didn't have posts that take us off the thread and turn into personal attacks.

Thanks for the information John, when I look back at when we have been successful we have always had a core of Scottish lads or players that have played in Scotland for a few years so I like that we are looking to home grown talent.
IMO he would be a good signing.

Bowie would be a good back up to Mio, offer something different but also have an opportunity to challenge Mio. Knows the league and lower risk option at fee banded about.

Ed. There a difference between debating rumours and making someone out to be liar for passing on info. Or trying to tell folk to stop posting rumours on a rumours site. Think that's what puts some off.
Personally I enjoy the ridiculous rumours and discussion as much as the factual info ones like John provide on the site, but can understand why some don't like to share.

If we could get Bowie for that kind of money I would do it, he's young Scottish is physical and while not an out and out goal poacher would still score a few for us. Fans would need to show a bit of patience though because he's not the finished article yet.
I'm not disputing the rumour, in fact I hope its true, but I've always wondered when a scout is at a game how do we know who he's watching. Could he be watching the Falkirk right back, Adams for example.
