I'm going to make a few predictions for us just going by common sense really.

We're not going to sanction the sale of dio, Raskin, iga, dessers and souttar all in the one window.

I think we will sell dessers that's a cert, I think souttar stays.

Igamane seems to have the most interest and I think he'll go for £15m which means it's likely Danilo is still here next season with 2 new striker signed.

Dio and Raskin - Funnily enough, I think Raskin will still be here next season and will sign an extension. The fact we're selling igamane and dessers means I actually think Diomande will still be here aswell. Well look to sell both next summer for £25 and 20m, respectively

This year with iga dessers and a few fringe players moving, plus the £20 m we were told is already there we could have upto £40m to spend between now and January. Although I expect it likely to be around £25m this summer.

Stevie_G_new

1.) 12 Jun 2025 22:41:07
We ain't gona spend 40 million between now in January that's not common sense that is just ludicrous mate ?.

2.) 12 Jun 2025 23:06:07
I know what your saying storm it sounds absurd when I was typing mate.

The fact is they've said we've got £20m.

If we then bring in another £20m then we will spend more than 20.

What I've wrote is £25m

Time will tell but I get what your saying.

It will come down to sales.

3.) 12 Jun 2025 23:14:22
Stevie the £20m is for on and off the park so not just for transfers and there is no way we are ever getting £45m for Raskin and Diomande.

4.) 12 Jun 2025 23:14:32
We will ? there or thereabouts.

5.) 13 Jun 2025 00:01:52
I've always thought that granted we get a decent fee for Raskin we'd spend around 30-35

I don't know the financial situation what's allowed what isn't though so if I'm misinformed or wrong in the sense of we LEGALLY can't then I do apologise :)

6.) 13 Jun 2025 00:04:41
Storm be more positive mate.

7.) 13 Jun 2025 04:12:21
Money talks no matter who it is.

8.) 13 Jun 2025 06:26:30
'The fact we're selling igamane and dessers'

Is it a fact though? It's not happened yet so technically isn't a fact.

Raskin will be away this summer.

9.) 13 Jun 2025 06:47:52
This is what is wrong with our fan base instead of selling our players on its nah we won't get that for him. Yet across the city do every single time. Our biggest problems is our fanbase.

10.) 13 Jun 2025 07:02:20
Building will be gradual process over several windows - we don't have mega cash to spread - its only when all deadwood are gone will we free up wages space - let's see who wants to buy a few of our bigger name players and see what cash is potentially there before we all go daft on hypothetical stupid season spending spree - need a couple of real leaders in our team and to solidify defence and at least so far we have been sensible regarding our purchases (guys who know the league and have potential to grow) Give RM some time?.

11.) 13 Jun 2025 07:44:57
The 20m suggested ain't all for transfer kitty. They clearly said said had invested 20m capital an̈d some will be used on transfers why oh why do people think it's a 20m transfer kitty?‍♂️?‍♂️.

12.) 13 Jun 2025 08:21:35
Ok ows we will spend 100 million that good enough for you mate? And you saying be positive are you taking the P? Majority of your positives are negative. I am just being realistic.

13.) 13 Jun 2025 09:18:32
The Americans aren't going to splash the cash.

14.) 13 Jun 2025 09:38:47
People must be taking more than just coffee. when have we ever spent 100% of sales, apart from anything else it is very very unusual that someone pays 100% the selling price up front, its usually staggered over a few years. so even if we attract 25M of sales, we don't get 25M into our coffers. the 20M offered up by the new owners isn't all for transfers. if we spend anymore than 14M i would be surprised.

15.) 13 Jun 2025 11:45:10
"Raskin WILL be away this summer"

Is that a fact scotty?

16.) 13 Jun 2025 13:27:03
Google the word "fact" watch you don't type "fuct"

17.) 13 Jun 2025 13:38:01
He didn't say we were going to spend 40m storm. He said we'd have it to spend.

Glad I could clear that up ?.

12 Jun 2025 14:13:42
Apparently the club have put a € 10m valuation on dessers. Athens want to pay €6m with a high resell.

Along with €25m for raskin and €15m for dio and igamane it seems the club are now demanding a fair market value for our players. About bloody time.

Stevie_G_new

1.) 12 Jun 2025 14:39:44
Once dessers goes to athens he don't really have a sell on value. He be 31 soon.

2.) 12 Jun 2025 14:41:17
Asking for 10m for dessers would be ridiculous. If that's the case I'm pretty sure we'll end up in a Morelos situation and be stuck with him. The guy is 31 in the coming months And while he seems like a great guy, were not going to win anything with him at no9.

3.) 12 Jun 2025 14:54:01
Think 5-6m is more realistic.

4.) 12 Jun 2025 14:55:13
Thing is with dessers a don't think a majority of fans will appreciate him until he's gone. If we had won the double or so he would be the best thing from slice bread. If we can get 5mil or more for him perfect. If we managed to get say £40 million for dessers dio raskin and igamane I'd be over the moon and would show intent from the club. but selling out best players I think we would need to kiss buy to the league again which would put heavy pressure on the boardroom and the manager.

5.) 12 Jun 2025 15:02:21
10m euros is a good starting point for negotiation. as pointed out earlier there is little chance of a sell on bonus. settle at 6 or 7 euros, still OK.

6.) 12 Jun 2025 15:52:21
Think it's euros so just over £6.5million so not to unrealistic.

7.) 12 Jun 2025 15:59:35
What gets me is the amount of posts saying we won't win anything with dessers as our 9. Yet people are wanting a pkayer that's scored a total of 18 goals in two seasons. So we want to replace 50 with 18. Makes no sense to me.

8.) 12 Jun 2025 16:19:28
Be mad to sell him. Frustrating player but goals are goals and we need them from somewhere. Two good seasons under his belt to be honest, Rarely injured as well.
Also can we stop tallikng in Euros. does my head in! Lol.

9.) 12 Jun 2025 16:33:11
Has anyone officially came out feom the club and stated these prices. I've missed it if they have. Or is it just hear say?

10.) 12 Jun 2025 17:45:08
Orange no club ever do mate. We're in a forum. It discusses rumours and thw such.

11.) 12 Jun 2025 18:09:47
I want 50 million for him.

12.) 12 Jun 2025 18:48:42
Orange T no they haven't and I have yet to see a club who tells people exactly what they want for their players. normally people use Transfermarkt but the values on there are miles below those quoted above. the €10 million euros (£8.5M) is from an x account AEK insider. considering AEKs record signing so far is just short of £5.5 M it seems unlikely.

13.) 12 Jun 2025 19:11:56
I don't think we'll get anything like 10million euros for Dessers but it is good to think that we can now say no and push prices up rather than have to take the first offer we get, because we are strapped for cash .

14.) 12 Jun 2025 20:23:23
Why would our club put valuations in euros

I call bull.

15.) 12 Jun 2025 20:24:30
Belgian national midfielders that start have went for 30 million odds recently and raskin getting game time ahead of them.

16.) 12 Jun 2025 22:48:48
Forever it's aek Athens that put it in euros as that's what they use ? have you ever left Scotland?

17.) 12 Jun 2025 22:57:17
Why not make it clear we want 10m then when the lowball offer comes in we still get a good return.

18.) 12 Jun 2025 23:11:30
Forever because all transfers are lodged in euros with uefa.

If we're selling to a Greek side or a French side it works in euros.

Have u never wondered why it's point 1 and point 6 of a million and so on.

Euros are how fees are lodged.
Maybe Ed can add something to that as perhaps I've not explained it perfectly.

10 Jun 2025 23:14:29
Would the ex player mentioned possibly be Alfredo Morelos. ?

He seems to have 2 agents, Michael Gorman, and Martin camagno.

Anyone know anything about them 2?

Stevie_G_new

1.) 10 Jun 2025 23:23:16
The next time he wears a Rangers top will be in 10 years for a legends game when he's 25 stone.

2.) 10 Jun 2025 23:40:01
The ex player is Joe Aribo.

3.) 10 Jun 2025 23:49:14
He's playing well in Columbia mate and he's same weight as when he payed well for us.

He's clearly got a weight issue but see at end of day, he is capable of doing the job

I'd give him another chance wef get more from him than we've got from Danilo and Cortes that's for sure.

4.) 10 Jun 2025 23:53:27
Think he's still on loan in Colombia Stevie, he'll have regrets when he's finished mate, he should have had a far better career, when he was on it he was different class.

5.) 11 Jun 2025 00:04:39
Think it was a treble last season Stevie, another season started.

6.) 11 Jun 2025 00:13:17
Would love to have Aribo back but Morelos would be a no from me, I think his best days are gone and I don't think he would have a positive affect on the team.

7.) 11 Jun 2025 00:18:23
We've a player in Dessers with better stats first 2 seasons than Morelos had. Granted, he's managed to stay on the pitch for plenty more games!

8.) 11 Jun 2025 01:42:07
Morelos was a strong player but was not a good finisher.

9.) 11 Jun 2025 06:31:36
Aribo is a no from me. I remember reading that the Southampton fans branded him lazy.

10.) 11 Jun 2025 06:52:40
It could be Cantwell with his past links to Matt Gill am not 100% sure but Cantwell could have also played in the same Norwich team as Martin as well.

11.) 11 Jun 2025 06:59:04
You've also seen him first hand baxter yourself, he was excellent when he was here. I recall him being relaxed and laid back i don't recall him being lazy, do you?

12.) 11 Jun 2025 07:12:59
Aribo is on £70k Cantwell is on far less, These are the only two that remain with the agency Eliste the guy on rumours mentioned yesterday.

13.) 11 Jun 2025 07:37:27
Tav when you are not winning the fans see relaxed and laid back as lazy. just think Bajrami.

14.) 11 Jun 2025 07:50:04
He didn't have a weight issue. He had a professionalism issue.

15.) 11 Jun 2025 07:50:18
Tav, Aribo was great for us which was rewarded with his big transfer. However, I wouldn't have him back. Hope this clears this up.

16.) 11 Jun 2025 07:54:54
Always wonder what might have been if wed taken the money on offer for him when there was said to be a £10m+ bid. If only! Hindsight is a wonderful thing and all that. Will always have a stuffy spot for him, Shame it went the way it did.

17.) 11 Jun 2025 08:07:04
Struth - But his professionalism issue was impacted by food/ drink too?.

18.) 11 Jun 2025 08:10:20
Woukd love us to get some early transfer business done.

19.) 11 Jun 2025 08:16:27
Cantwell did say he would be back 1 day.

20.) 11 Jun 2025 08:22:39
6m was a "big transfer"?

21.) 11 Jun 2025 08:36:51
I'd take Aribo back in a hearbeat. He can play anywhere other than CB. He can take the ball under pressure in tight areas, he scores goals, in good in 1v1 duels and puts in a shift. He's the only Rangers player to score in a European final in the last 53 years playing up top not his best position.
We made a good profit on him and would be a great addition IMO if the fee and wages aren't too high.

22.) 11 Jun 2025 09:00:31
Correct BF.

He used to buy a crate of whiskey every month from Cosco.

23.) 11 Jun 2025 09:05:07
Struth it's 6m a big transfer getting for zero like, really convinced you are who i said you were.

24.) 11 Jun 2025 09:27:07
I can see how Aribos style makes him look lazy but he's far from it. Loved how he looked to have lost the ball the stretched out one of those go go gadget legs and skinned a player.

25.) 11 Jun 2025 09:29:20
My star I couldn't care less who you think I am.

Care to make that last comment make sense?

I for one think wilson selling aribo for only 6m was absolutely pitiful.

Exactly like rejecting 8m for kamara to accept 5m 12 months later.

26.) 11 Jun 2025 09:32:07
Don't claim to be fully itk, but I have been told by a couple of relatively good sources that we are actively looking at Aribo as a signing this summer.

27.) 11 Jun 2025 09:40:51
6m with a year to run on his contract, seems a good price for me, you're coldo all day long.

28.) 11 Jun 2025 09:55:52
Katic? We need 3 cb so could he come as a 4th choice.

29.) 11 Jun 2025 10:09:20
I agree £6M wasn't enough at the time. as a comparison people are looking for similar or not much less for the 31YO Dessers who has a year left as well. even with inflation it shows we undersold. I think we did because of our lack of cash and need to try to get some money in. hopefully that changes.

30.) 11 Jun 2025 10:16:20
Would Love Aribo back??.

31.) 11 Jun 2025 10:24:13
Angus Dessers has 2 years left mate, getting 6m for a player with only one more year was good in my opinion, plus add ons.

32.) 11 Jun 2025 10:29:59
30 and its 2 years 31/ 5/ 27.

33.) 11 Jun 2025 10:50:30
Why are some so obsessed with trying to re-sign ex players, if that's looking forward then we are f****d! They weren't good enough to win us trophies when they were here 1st time around, so why the out pouring of love to sign guys that just aren't good enough!

34.) 11 Jun 2025 11:27:47
I'm not "coldo". I've already told you I used to post under a different guide prior to this and a few folk seemed to not quite like me.

Think we'll be adding you to that list fella.

35.) 11 Jun 2025 11:30:28
Club needs to come up with a stoater of a signing to get the place buzzing. Out of contract, loan or otherwise but it needs to be something special and soon.

36.) 11 Jun 2025 11:34:14
Ryan Fraser anyone?

37.) 11 Jun 2025 11:44:32
Hindsight tells us we held on to a number of players too long. We should have been more business like in our transfer dealings and accepted good offers for the likes of Morelos and Kamara, and been more brutal in moving on the likes of Kent, Aribo, Barisic, Lundstram when we kne they were coming in to the last year of their deals. I understand why we did it, taking the risk on holding on to our best players to compete for titles etc, but it did not work out in practice and we never got the transfer strategy we needed in place. Hopefully we can do that going forward.

38.) 11 Jun 2025 12:23:55
He will definitely have a lot of regrets when he's done I agree with ye in that Beale.

Such a waste of talent.

39.) 11 Jun 2025 12:25:35
Would not go near ryan fraser. Terrible work ethic.

40.) 11 Jun 2025 12:39:34
Should have checked the contract length for Dessers.

Star my point is that these discussions are all about opinion and just because someone doesn't agree with you doesn't make them coldo. He used to be negative about Rangers and Struth is saying your value is low which isn't that.

41.) 11 Jun 2025 12:54:39
Loved Alfie but wouldn't want him back, his time has gone . Don't think that Cantwell would have the brass neck to come back after all that went on when he was here and since he left. Not sure about Aribo either, my memories of him are that he was always a bit hot and cold. If his fitness wasn't an issue the one that I think would benefit us would be Patterson, young, strong, powerful and a home grown Scot . Just have doubts about his injury problems recently.

42.) 11 Jun 2025 13:02:55
Has anyone said the ex player, would actually be part of the squad, or is it backroom staff?

43.) 11 Jun 2025 13:03:46
Angus I believe he is coldo ok, said that weeks ago not just today.

44.) 11 Jun 2025 13:35:42
Star well there are a good few comments that don't sound like coldo. just ones which disagree with you.

45.) 11 Jun 2025 13:53:26
I also don't fervently use emojis, post 50 times per day or bet on future managers.

I did post under a different guise just as most have on here, but your belief is wrong.

46.) 11 Jun 2025 14:46:51
Angus cool am seeing it different, very similar, what are you talking about different users names struth? changed when men let, what has your last user name struth? Ed001 is he coldo?

{Ed001's Note - I have no idea, ed33 is the one to ask.}

47.) 11 Jun 2025 17:18:45
Go on then, ask the other one.

This is quite funny to watch ?.

48.) 11 Jun 2025 17:25:12
What does it matter anyway. If he were coldo then he seems to have improved his patter which is why I don't think he is and also that he needs to be left as others are to post as he wants. he has also posted for longer than 2-3 days so it is a change of tact there and not sure coldo had the wit to do that.
Star on a monthly basis a poster comes back on with a new name as the forum doesn't allow you to reset passwords.

49.) 11 Jun 2025 17:35:12
Exactly my point Angus.

It was 2 fold. 1, I forgot the password. 2, someone had a similar name so I set a new one up.

50.) 11 Jun 2025 18:44:26
Cool Angus sounds very similar.

51.) 11 Jun 2025 20:44:26
Star not trying to fall out and you may be right but coldo is normally so obvious when you point him out.

52.) 12 Jun 2025 04:50:19
Ed33 is struths boat coldo.

Angus I fall out with know one mate.

{Ed033's Note - I don't know.

29 May 2025 11:24:30
I've seen a wee mf on instagram from a Rangers page that the takeover is now complete.

All that's left is to communicate it to the fans.

Perhaps holding off so they can announce everything together now, ?

Stevie_G_new

1.) 29 May 2025 11:31:36
The major announcements will be very soon.

I believe the dotted line has been signed on both accounts.

2.) 29 May 2025 12:38:16
Can only hope!

3.) 29 May 2025 13:09:42
Yea Asa that's literally what it said.

The papers have now been signed in full.

4.) 29 May 2025 13:26:40
Stevie from the information I have I think this is now the time to allow ourselves to get excited.

The future is looking great.

5.) 29 May 2025 13:34:49
Thanks for the update ASA.

6.) 29 May 2025 13:35:39
Announcement this Thursday or next?

7.) 29 May 2025 14:01:25
Can we get Flamini in as an investor?

Guy makes Ronaldo's net worth look like small change.

8.) 29 May 2025 14:03:06
Has a net worth 40 times Ronaldo's entire net worth, smart man, now partner of a company worth 21 billion, with a personal net worth of 10 billion, and is the richest footballer ever, past or present.

9.) 29 May 2025 14:25:44
Why not Elon Musk then Laudrup, hagi as he has more money than him ?.

10.) 29 May 2025 15:16:21
Storm would prefer flamini understands football better than musk who's too busy squandering his cash on failed toy rocket missions to space.

back on topic though, SPFL is a small money league so i hope our fans aren't dreaming the clubs about top get flooded with big money for transfers etc, they see it as a business to run, stabilise and eventually profit from.

Leeds will be higher up their priority list as there is bigger moneys to be made out of that business investment now they are in the EPL where the big money is, clearly they will be prioritising there investements there 1st.

25 May 2025 22:41:50
David Ancellotti was not on the plane bound for Brazil with his father and the coaching team carlo took with him. According to reports from Spain I'm reading online.

Stevie_G_new

1.) 26 May 2025 00:14:42
Might be nothing but Ladbrokes Australia have suspended all betting on next Rangers manager.

2.) 26 May 2025 10:53:05
To be fair Ausbear, yous are a few hours ahead of us, you can let us know in advance.

13 Jun 2025 12:30:55
Dinamo Zagreb just sold a mf to come for €17m with €5m in add one so €22m
With this being the martlet value why can't we realistically ask €25m for raskin.

People saying we can't get that are living in the past.

U see what Celtic paid for Engels and raskin is a far better player. Even oriley for £29m

Why can't we ask that for our best player.

Stevie_G_new

1.) 13 Jun 2025 12:35:01
Baturina is a hell of a player Stevie imo his ceiling is higher than Raskin but do agree I want a similar fee.

2.) 13 Jun 2025 12:36:42
Should read como*.

3.) 13 Jun 2025 12:46:46
The last six months Raskin has controlled games from box to box, him becoming a Belgium mainstay is what will see him get that fee if EPL clubs come calling, a do think doing a deal with him and being able to keep him for one more season is our best chance to win the league tho and a good World Cup next summer and he will smash Scottish transfer record.

4.) 13 Jun 2025 12:54:58
Stevie the only thing is we can't say at the negotiating table look how much Celtic paid for engels and como paid for baturina. We should always be looking for as much as we can get. Right now is think raskin is worth 12/ 18mil. If he was to stay and pick up where he left off and have a good run in Belgium team it will go up.

5.) 13 Jun 2025 12:56:18
Celtic get 29 million for oriley because he finished the season with almost 19 goals and 18 assists which is insane. they also won the league and were playing in the champions league.

celtic signed engles for 10 million and whilst i agree raskin is the better player at the moment, unless we start winning trophies, Celtic will probably sell engles for 25 million and we will struggle to get that for our top players and be stuck in whether we should keep our best players to win the league or sell. When we sold bassey for 20 million we went on a run to a european final, don't think we would have received that fee had we not done that. it doesn't matter how much we feel our players are worth it's only what someone will pay and all things considered at the moment i think we'd struggle to 20 million for raskin, even though i would agree i think he is worth that.

6.) 13 Jun 2025 13:13:54
Providing he signs a contract, Raskin would be my captain next season.

7.) 13 Jun 2025 13:55:56
Pains me to say it but raskin has only had an outstanding 6/ 8 months MOR was exceptionally talented at celtic. I'd say 95 percent of all his games were very good and his assits and goals were outstanding it's difficult to price raskin at his value or campare the both of them.

8.) 13 Jun 2025 14:05:51
I agree tav. Engels also just 21 and Raskin 24 so 3 years more development to potentially come. This price thing is like trying to compare apples to oranges. If we want to sell him we will get what the owners think is a fair price. the problem is that fans think they are always worth more than that price.

9.) 13 Jun 2025 14:28:01
It was 25 for O'Reilly the rest were add ons Tav and going by 1st year he ain't hitting many of them

Stevie have you even watched this guy play to see if he is worse or better than Raskin? It's mental how the mind of fans work it really. A lot of fans don't live in the real world it's all fifa football manager an unicorns.

10.) 13 Jun 2025 14:29:00
Dynamo Zagreb have a pretty strong track record for selling players, over the last 4-5 seasons they've sold multiple players for £10m, including 2 or 3 for £20m plus.

Celtic have a similar reputation.

This has a significant impact on the valuation of players.

11.) 13 Jun 2025 14:46:38
Sam of orange I've not seen the boy play so thanks for info.

I think we are all agreeing that raskin is worth it. What the disagreement is, is that we can't demand it. Well the boy isn't in a rush to leave and he's got 2 years to run and a relatively small wage. Unless we get his value he stays and after the window shuts we offer him a major wage rise in line with his valuation, he's not going to knock back the money if we agree to sell him to certain standards of clubs if valuation we agree upon is met thw following summer.

12.) 13 Jun 2025 15:18:49
Raskin is an exceptional midfielder and now a full Belgian Internationalist, and with so many clubs reportedly interested in signing him, you would expect any offer of £20m+, this would be very difficult for the club to turn down.
Our player trading model needs to be prudent when it comes to buying and selling, and reinvesting this in new players.

13.) 13 Jun 2025 15:48:19
Copland exactly £20m with £5m in add ons.

14.) 13 Jun 2025 15:54:51
EHL
What you are actually saying is that both Zagreb and Celtic are good at selling Yeh?

Which on the face of it makes us bad by comparison.

And in making us bad, we are focussing on all the wrong factors.

Selling is a game. Nothing more.

Find a buyer who needs what you have and you will get your price or pretty damn close to it.

Rangers are total and utter crap at finding buyers! Selling players is actually all about finding buyers. Hey if they come to you then great! But you still need to find the best buyer out of that group.

Find the best buyer get the best price.

If Raskin and Co had a title medal around their neck they would be worth more!

There is a world of difference from saying because they aren't 'winners' they are worth less! That's a buyers angle! This way will see you fall short time after time after time.

You never go there as a seller. Why would you?

15.) 13 Jun 2025 17:15:34
Gdog I don't think that is how it works though. the buying clubs scouts and recruitment team would identify and come to us. or in other cases the selling club would tell the agent and his players that he was surplus and they should look for a club for player to move to. I am not sure I have ever heard of selling clubs going out directly to find buyers but perhaps that is what recruitment events aim to do: allow selling clubs to offer their players.
once the buyer approaches granted we haven't made a good fist of getting the right value but is that normally as we haven't hidden our lack of funds and our willingness to sell.

16.) 13 Jun 2025 17:27:47
Find a buyer for what you have but don't go as a seller? not sure how productive those transfer negotiations would be.

17.) 13 Jun 2025 17:44:09
No Tav that's not what I said in the slightest.

18.) 13 Jun 2025 17:44:45
Not at all what I'm saying GDog.

19.) 13 Jun 2025 18:07:34
Look at dessers as a starting point lads. We made a line and we got just under it.

We got €8m reportedly.

Some would've solid for £2-3m.

20.) 13 Jun 2025 18:13:43
We don't know what we got Stevie it's not been agreed yet.

11 Jun 2025 12:41:14
Apparently the club value raskin at £25m I've read on X

Villa Porto and someone else I can't remember who.

Stevie_G_new

1.) 11 Jun 2025 13:03:37
Thats more like it.

2.) 11 Jun 2025 13:11:36
If millar worth 10m raskin worth at least double.

3.) 11 Jun 2025 13:49:06
Gers58, correct . That's us out the running for Millar. And Naismith is a no go, thank goodness.

4.) 11 Jun 2025 14:43:13
Are we seriously saying Sunderland are going to pay £10 million for Lennon Miller in the last year of his contract Come on?.

5.) 11 Jun 2025 15:25:44
Regardless of miller, Raskin is worth that all day.

6.) 11 Jun 2025 17:07:16
On X must be true then ?.

7.) 11 Jun 2025 17:53:35
Storm it will be repeated in every paper over next few days from the x post so people will definitely believe it then. a month ago Motherwell were reportedly wanting £5M; it wasn't on Twitter though?.

8.) 11 Jun 2025 18:03:29
I would prefer to keep Raskin but if we are selling him for that kind of money we should use some of the money to go for Miller. We are going to live to regret it, if he goes to the other mob.

9.) 11 Jun 2025 19:57:54
Wsl you can only regret someone if indeed we were actually interested in him. If we aren't how can we regret it?

08 Jun 2025 21:42:35
So that's Ancelotti signed a contract with Brazilian fa.
Suggests to me he was genuinely interested in us and wanting the job rather than using us to gather interest.

Still adamant he should've been our man.

Stevie_G_new

1.) 08 Jun 2025 22:01:40
Suggests to me he wasn't convincing enough to any interested club.

2.) 08 Jun 2025 22:12:08
Stevie to me it's done and dusted mate just have to get behind Russel and hopefully we can get a team together that we can all get behind no more hiding behind the manager no more not turning up and shown no interest in our domestic games
Every player needs to bleed for the manager and more so for the jersey if they don't I hope Russel will be strong and make the hard decisions and drop them

No longer should our club or our manager be held to ransom by players not willing to give their all

For time those days are done and the players better get it round there heads who they are playing for the new new board won't hold prisoners.

3.) 08 Jun 2025 22:20:40
Stevie he was never for me far to much of a gamble, but respect it's your opinion, Martin ticks a lot of boxes as far as in line with the type of recruitment that we will be going down, and understands the budget and the need to win up here, could be various reasons why they didn't want Ancelotti, it could have been about budget, salary and other things, the fact that we interviewed showed there was interest but at the end of the day he didn't do enough to convince he was the right man, or he didn't buy into the plan.

4.) 09 Jun 2025 07:56:16
Rabbieburs, I agree 100% mate, I would question that Ancelotti had the bottle at the end of the day to be his own man, and, he has taken the easy option of again joining his Father in Brazil.

5.) 09 Jun 2025 09:45:59
Or he fancies adding a World Cup
Medal
To his collection irvger.

6.) 09 Jun 2025 10:19:51
Rabbi, he was still 1st pick going into the last week of interviewing.

Either, he decided this wasn't right for him or we decided RM would be a better fit for us.

Glad though because didn't like the idea of going with a rookie manager.

06 Jun 2025 11:49:01
With all the talk of stats, loss ratio. What were russelartims stats before the start of this premier leafy season with Southampton?
If we can take that season out the equation what would they be? Anyone, ?

Stevie_G_new

1.) 06 Jun 2025 12:08:21
Season Southampton won promotion 57%, Stevie, they also went on a long unbeaten run.

2.) 06 Jun 2025 13:02:32
It vastly improves then, I actually thought might've been slightly
Higher. But it's not too bad. Could be better.

3.) 06 Jun 2025 13:04:59
Stevie it would be 42.4% with EPL but need to see the level both MK and Swansea were at when he joined (19th) . as Star says 57% in championship which might be a decent gauge. around same as other managers we have and also similar to Bodo manager.

4.) 06 Jun 2025 13:05:00
86 goals or something like that for and 63
Goals against in 46'games.

5.) 06 Jun 2025 13:08:02
25 games unbeaten in the Champ is no easy task, RM will be a success domestically imo.

6.) 06 Jun 2025 13:21:59
The more I learn about RM the more I like the appointment. He is a young progressive coach and while his numbers are not great he improves teams and plays high press attacking football.

I think it's a shrewd piece of business. However he has a difficult job on his hands because the squad of last season was a long way short. We are going to need 5 or 6 starters for that team if we are to challenge, as well as a number added to give us squad depth.

Why I have been pretty chill about a new manager in general. Need recruitment to be right before we can even think about him being a success.

7.) 06 Jun 2025 13:30:36
25 game unbeaten run Stevie, 18 wins 7 draws.

8.) 06 Jun 2025 14:58:44
Should have added against far better quality than he'll now face.

9.) 06 Jun 2025 15:26:39
Storm correct 87 goals for though but 4th best Goal difference in the league. the top 3 lost 41, 57, 43 respectively and didn't score that many more 89, 92, 81. only top 9 had a positive goal difference but there weren't huge gaps between Goals for and goals against with anyone. odd stats really IMO.

10.) 06 Jun 2025 16:01:28
The championship is possibly the most competitive league in world football. No easy games in that league. I really don't see any value in taking stats from that league and trying to apply them to Rangers in the SPL.

11.) 06 Jun 2025 16:10:51
Tommy only reason is it is so competitive and he finished 4th in it and scored and lost comparable goals to the top 3. given we aren't as good a quality league you would assume he will do better if he gets the squad he needs. Using EPL figures for a promoted team isn't a good marker though IMO.

12.) 06 Jun 2025 16:45:12
I agree Angus, I don't think there are any stats for any of his club's which would have any meaning in terms of whether he will be a success with us.

Think most of this is that he is not a popular choice. Plus these stats do not tell anything about what was happening in terms of support for the manager in terms of recruitment and retention of players at these clubs.

It's a far more complex picture than win/ loss percentage and I genuinely don't see any value in looking at that statistic in isolation.

The thing I am positive about is style of play, development of teams/ players and man management. He ticks boxes for me across those area's. Will it bring success, time will tell.

06 Jun 2025 08:45:40
Reading there that martin has now came out and stated Tav will have a big part
To play for us next season.

Stevie_G_new

1.) 06 Jun 2025 08:55:09
??????? And it gets worse!

2.) 06 Jun 2025 08:58:47
Just watched that stevie. Tbf he can't really say anything different. he's 34 soon i'd imagine we would be trying to move him on for someone whos legs ain't gone.

3.) 06 Jun 2025 09:00:22
Sack him! Sack the bored! Get the sharks oot! ? listen the new head coach only has a short time to impress the fans, because we all know most of them will turn quick.

4.) 06 Jun 2025 09:03:00
Jesus wept.

5.) 06 Jun 2025 09:15:13
He can't disrespect Tav in public. He's a man manager. He won't diss any player to the press. The dressing room would be fine first day otherwise. Let him manage bears.

6.) 06 Jun 2025 09:43:44
He ain't gona say naw he is rank rotten and won't be part of my plans when he has even spoke to players in person now is he?

7.) 06 Jun 2025 10:05:17
Perhaps Tav has managed to get compromising photos of Martin quickly so that he has to pick him. that must be 5 or 6 managers that he has managed to do that with.

8.) 06 Jun 2025 10:08:47
It's manager talk, he's hardly going to slag him off during his first interview. Playing a big part could also mean using him sparingly but still having an experienced head around the dressing room. I'm not expecting a new manager to come in and take his captaincy away but i am expecting to see others get more time at right back and a new captain on the pitch like raskin with tav on the bench. Hopefully the other right backs can stay fit this year ?‍♂️.

9.) 06 Jun 2025 10:44:39
If he carries on with tav, he won't last the season, why do we get sentimental with players, yes he's been a good servant but we should be trying to get a fee in for him even a nominal one with a year left on his contract. We need a new captain, I had hoped for a new era, but continuing down this road gives me the fear.

10.) 07 Jun 2025 00:10:30
Angus, that made me lol ?.
