Really good interview with Thelwell on RTV.
Explains the restructure behind the scenes and hints that there will be more details shared on the vision
Also says that Rohl has assessed the squad and they've met to plan for a busy January.
Ends on a particularly important note - confirming that it's the Head Coach who has the final say.

he should still be bulleted.
15 Nov 2025 10:11:24
Let's see how that unfolds, it's great if this is the case. I'll sit patiently waiting to see what happens.
Still concerned with the boy from Everton and Miovski who I believe Thelwell signed outwith RM's input.
The only conclusion I can draw is the righting was already on the walk for RM and these were panic buys or Thelwell is the driver in the transfers?
What's your thoughts on that EHL, could these be panic signs once they knew Martin wasn't going to last?
15 Nov 2025 10:24:47
Just want to point out for at least the last 2 summers a lot on here were actively saying the club should sign Miovski.
15 Nov 2025 10:27:34
Dado, I don't think I'd label either panic signings - but I kinda agree with what you're saying.
If you combine Martin rejecting options, delays on decision making to progress options and time wasted trying to recruit players Martin had identified.
Add to that the extremely poor handling of Dessers and Iga - which meant neither would stay even if we begged them to.
All resulted in us being really short in options.
Miovski was available, proven in our league and the club had scouting profile on him - so I can see why we turned to that deal.
Chermiti was obviously someone that Purdy and Thelwell were aware of and who they thought would adapt to our league - again, I can see the logic in this one, especially if you add that we also signed an older striker with experience who theoretically hit the ground running.
Unfortunately, so far both have been well off it - however, hopefully we'll see them start to settle and progress after the international break (lol, it's the hope that kills us).
15 Nov 2025 10:47:20
There's still time to redeem himself, but he's got a helluva lot to prove.
Let's see what he can do in January, but if he fails, he needs to go. If he succeeds, and finally proves his worth, it will go a long way in getting back into supporters good books.
15 Nov 2025 10:51:38
The only announcement that I want to hear from Rangers TV on that donkey is that he's sacked. Thelwell OUT ?.
15 Nov 2025 11:09:55
A nice and cozy wee scripted 20 mins of nothingness.
Here is what should have been asked.
Kevin in the last window you managed to downgrade nearly every position and wasted millions of pounds so why are you still here?
Were you telling us all lies when you said that Russell was the best coach you have worked with because he is a terrible coach and also a liar?
You say Danny will have the final say and judging by your last window then would it be fair to say that you should have zero say in the upcoming window?
How is your son enjoying working here, and could you explain why your pal Purdy thought he deserved to be here because Norwich finished in 6th place when he started but when he left to come here they were in 23rd place with only Shef Wed lower in 24th because they had a 15pt deduction, so nothing to suggest why he deserved a job at Rangers?
15 Nov 2025 11:11:49
That's excellent news EHL
And the outcome is looking for being a busy January
Possibly moving a few in and shoring up defence another holding midfielder and another option in attack
Depending who leaves and what positions will also need covered there too
Think Rohl is going to be a good manager and if they back which sound slow they are it's going to bring back some good times good football and progress
Going to be hard slog up until January if current players can't lift there game more then they have shown so far
Let's hope they can improve though
Atleast we might be able to see some light at the end of the tunnel now.
15 Nov 2025 11:36:32
I think Miovski will come good, to me he doesn't look 100% match fit or sharp. Once he settles and gets some regular gametime he'll start to produce.
15 Nov 2025 11:39:33
It really is unbelievable the amount of damage Martin did in 123 days.
15 Nov 2025 11:44:36
Yeah that's good insight EHL and I appreciate the response. I thought both signings where a little lazy hence the term panic signings but I can see both players from the angle you've suggested.
I'm all for taken risks, but £8m raising to £10m for the boy from Everton was wild. Thelwell will always be known for that transfer rightly or wrongly. I'm not sure he'll recover from that one.
Let's see what January brings and I hope we get more Shankland / Gogic rumours to keep us smiling and getting through the winter.
15 Nov 2025 11:53:22
I'm praying we bring in another LB in Jan along with a CB who doesn't scare the living "you know what" out of me when the ball is played in their general direction!
15 Nov 2025 11:56:25
Read Thelwells interview, what struck me is the phrase "we lost a head coach" this implies to me that if it was up to him RM would still be in charge of the team.
IMO RM was the worst coach we have had in modern times he was never going to be a successful appointment and I have serious doubts that KT is the man for the job.
15 Nov 2025 12:04:34
I think Miovski is carrying an injury.
15 Nov 2025 12:28:36
I'll start to get excited about Rohl and our recovery when we hump someone 6 0.
15 Nov 2025 12:59:21
The manager has the final say, I feel like he's throwing martin under the bus tbh. It's a trait him and martin have. There's no way that he isn't solely responsible for at least 3 of those transfer and even if the coach does have the last say, who is it that's bringing these players to the coaches attention to have the last say? I don't trust anything that man says, find it incredible that he'll get the January window to cause more damage to our club.
THELWELL OUT!
15 Nov 2025 13:10:29
What difference does it make that the "head coach" get's final say when the players being offered to him are utter jimmy white!
For anyone to think that was a good interview is beyond me and it shows that Thelwell is way out of his depth at our club. Also saying that another of his buddies is joining in January as our new academy director. This man is going to set us back so many years!
Thelwell out!
15 Nov 2025 13:37:00
The man that brought in the worst manager we've ever had needs to be sacked.
15 Nov 2025 13:37:46
Miovski so far is an unexplainable disappointment. I can only conclude his confidence is shot after Spain or he's carrying an injury.
15 Nov 2025 13:38:41
He said Rohl will have the final say this time, probably meaning Martin didn't?
15 Nov 2025 13:42:59
Doesn't really matter what he says, once a dobber always a dobber.
15 Nov 2025 13:50:00
So who stopped the deals that we had lined up under Koppen, according to some the likes of Mulligan? Is Thelwell saying that was Martin, of course it wasn't.
As far as I am concerned Chermiti was Thelwells signing, Martin might have agreed to it as a last day of the transfer window signing but Thelwell identified him and agree he was worth the money Everton were asking. That for me should be the hill he dies on, there is nothing in that boys recent history that justifies signing him at all never mind paying that kind of money and his performances since he signed have just confirmed that.
There is something rotten around the whole Thelwell universe and we need him gone By the way I don't agree with the comment that Igamane and Dessers wouldn't have stayed even if we begged them, weren't both under contract, they only left because we let them.
15 Nov 2025 13:53:40
January will either be stroke of genius from him or another complete disaster. I personally think he needs to go, but if he stays then I sincerely hope he gets it spot on.
15 Nov 2025 14:10:31
Think your right about Mulligan wsl, I'm sure either EHL or John said Martin blocked it?.
15 Nov 2025 14:19:54
Thelwell also said Martin had final say. Don't know why people continue to ignore this and follow the narrative that Martin had no say.
Rothwell, Aarons and Meghoma were all signings Martin asked for. Specifically Rothwell as first signing because he had him at Southampton. He also had Meghoma at Southampton and played along side Aarons.
15 Nov 2025 14:32:22
Martin was Thelwells ideal candidate for the market he wanted to exploit. Chermiti was always Thelwells #1 target. No sugar coating it for me. Thelwell was the architect of a total skit show and he has to go before he does more damage. Then and only then can we finally move forward.
15 Nov 2025 14:42:18
Thelwell didn't sign the cheque for Chermiti a few others must have agreed with the signing, guided by Thelwell as Cavenagh has repeated a few times, and of course the little creepy CEO does not have a clue.
15 Nov 2025 16:16:44
Fork, yes Martin blocked mulligan to Rangers.
15 Nov 2025 17:10:29
We are talking about Miovski. We bought him on a past record of two years ago at Aberdeen.
Never done anything else in that two years.
So a present another bad buy.
15 Nov 2025 18:02:05
Thought that John, I mind you saying it bud?.
15 Nov 2025 18:40:09
I agree Dado, I'm not at all comfortable with us paying that fee for anyone, never mind a high risk project player.
Not sure if it's bravery or stupidity, but it definitely feels like a gamble.
15 Nov 2025 18:24:02
ill again put my head on the line, Thelwell will come good, stewart is very good at his job and purdy also.
we knew it wouldn't be a simple start, we knew we wouldn't go straight to champions quarter way thru the season.
we all said it will take time.
This us what change looks like.
