I'll be honest, I thought he was coming on to more of a game in the last few matches he played in. Some good interceptions/ challenges and looked after the ball reasonably well. I think chant of a £2m fee seems really low given his pedigree and hype when he arrived. I wonder if he is too similar to what we already have, rather than him being objectively not good enough? But trust the manager and if he's not going to play it's probably best to get him off the wage bill.

He`s been dreadful and anyone who thinks otherwise hasn`t been watching him play for us. Slow in possession, no attacking threat whatsoever, keeps the ball okay but only because he goes back and square all the time . He hasn`t had a lot of minutes, but in the games he has played I can only remember that one ball to Dessers against Betis that we could call creative. He`s not strong enough in the tackle to be a holding midfielder so I`m not sure where he would fit into the team . After having to try to get the best out of the players he inherited the manager has decided that Cifuentes like Lammers is not what we need at the moment and can be sacrificed to get in new signings. Unfortunately the other players that he would want rid of are injured.

It is difficult to determine whether Cifu could come good or not since some players take longer than others to settle and many of us were blindsided by reports when he signed that English Clubs were willing to pay a significant fee for him.
What is certain is that if he goes to Turkey for £2m then we need to ensure that we have a hefty Sell on Fee because if he is a success playing for a relatively nondescript team they will be selling him on to one of the top European leagues. (I think this is where Cifu's transfer differs from Yilmaz, if Cifu goes and is a success we can make a good additional fee on a sell on clause, Yilmaz is more likely to remain in Turkey so we need to maximise our initial fee since a 10% or greater sell on fee is less likely to ever materialise) .

Please take with a pinch of salt but the guy looks a player. I’m not quite sure how he hasn’t made it at Benfica but I think it maybe his style in the Portuguese league is maybe not suited. But he’d be good in Scotland he’s a big guy, an athlete who can play. And has a really good delivery.

Like if you mixed the best of Yilmaz and the best of Barasic then added more athleticism you’d have this guy. I definitely want this guy. I can see now why PC wants him. He’d 100% improve us. No idea why he hasn’t made it. He’s a good player i don’t think big Phil goes after rubbish.

Although in saying that I’m not sold on Silva quite yet. Only because I’ve not seen enough and I don’t think he’s a number 9, last night he’s was played there with support from Matondo and young Ross and Cantwell behind.

And then there’s the rumour about the boca player. I don’t understand that in the sense it will probably take him a while to acclimatise to Scotland and by the time he does it will be time to send him back, if we get him it would need to be for more than 6 months. Can you loan a player for longer than 6 months at this stage of the season, can you loan someone for a year or more? I don’t know that but 6 months isn’t long enough for someone who is leaving his country for the first time. Cifuentes still hasn’t got up to speed- well regularly anyway.

So not sure what's been posted lately but just going to give a run down of what I've seen today.

Football Scotland (rubbish source) are reporting that rangers will now go for Shankland.

HITC and multiple fan stat pages covering David Jurasek as a target on 6 month loan from Benfica.

The sun reporting rangers want Million Manhoef to cover Ridvan at LB even though he's a RW for Vitesse (I know this one has lingered for a while and the club have said they don't want to sell him) .

Smal also being mentioned by multiple pages as a target to replace Ridvan now that Doing is off the table even though Fabrizio has said rangers never mentioned by Rangers.

My main concern is it seems to be a lot of lb targets, very little wingers and strikers and with the best defence in the league our main issue is the other end of the park.

Sir Walter jurasek is only 23, he was bought for 12 million euros last season. I'm sure beck is a good player but as usual Liverpool will want too much for a player with potential. Look no further than Kent as an example of that. jurasek is apparently very versatile in the positions he can play and Philip Clement likes that in a player.

Seen someone on X share a pic of the SFA player registration site which includes the name Oscar Cortes and Tommy Conway. Cortes obviously a done deal but am I right in saying Tommy Conway would be on there as he's an U21 international or would he have to be a domestic player and therefore signed by a Scottish side?

Fan media accounts for that tiny club in Turkey now saying that Ridvan go Gala is agreed. Sticking point was we wanted an obligation to buy and they wanted it to be an option so it will be an option to buy now.

Obviously not reported or confirmed so could be nonsense. Derek whatever his name is of rangers Review reporting Jefte and Cortes in next couple days and the club still want one more in. My guess is a striker as it's the one position we are still short in.
