We must be at it from the first second, just watched the Rangers review and Joshua made a good point about their quick throw ins and their ball boys flinging them the ball from all directions. No excuses now for not concentrating when the ball goes out. Got to score first or get to half time level then we have a chance.

Think that was more under the last manager BT.

Somebody said yesterday that Celtic now have a full squad available, no injuries. Compare that to our team full of cripples, glass men and serial losers, so depressing. I said at the start of the season to win this league we would have to be totally ruthless we have been anything but. Even the manager is acting Beale like saying we have earned more points than anyone else since he took over. Surely we can't go into next season with the constantly failing captain and vice captain, we must find young strong physical players who can cut it in the SPL, with Celtic trousering 40/ 50 million and the first old firm at their ground we must start so well or the manager will be under pressure he has never felt before.

Still weaker under Brenda than Ange. But if they win the league I reckon they’ll strengthen significantly which won’t be good for next season.

2.) 05 May 2024 17:12:03
Aye, I agree.

Still sick about how we have succumbed to the pressure of attempting to win this oh so important league. We have handed a poor Celtic team all the initiative to win the league and pocket the tens of millions that come with it. Apart from Butland I don't give any other player credit for beating teams we should be beating anyway. Sure we have been extremely unlucky with injuries if Danilo, Sima and Cortes had been fit it might have been different up front. We need to find young strong players who know how to play in the SPL, guys who can run from midfield not pass it back and sideways. I actually thought Dundee had better players than us in the recent game, better touch, better vision and better physicality. Where are our young ball players like Rice or McKinnon are they not thought good enough to play against the likes of Ross County, Dundee and St Mirren.

couldnt handle the pressure of going to the top, usual people succunbed yet again, the manager will know that, celtic fans half expected we wouldn't go clear, many of them expected not to beat county, or they certainly hoped with some degree that these players would crash, now we somehow got past st mirren, we must go all out fir goals, stop the likes of cantwell dancing around, get stuck in for goals from minute one every game left, because celtic won't drop points now,

2.) 30 Apr 2024 17:50:46
If it’s a poor Celtic team what does that makes us? As we haven’t beaten them this season ?.

3.) 30 Apr 2024 19:57:25
Tom, I can see Celtic dropping points.

4.) 30 apr 2024 19:58:12
he knows that storm, both teams are poor, nothing like previous old firm sides,

the entire old firm fixture has been massively down graded in recent times, from the highs of the 60/ 70s to the teams of the nineties, early 2000s, not even close nowadays,

5.) 30 Apr 2024 20:23:12
I don't think its the dundee players are better they just put every ounce of energy intk thr game and battle for everything. Weve got stale old players sith no pace who think they are better thsn they are.
As they uSed to say in the briggait "hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard" only we are only half talented. few pints deep. if it wasnt the briggait it was ma auntie irene who said it.

6.) 30 Apr 2024 20:28:58
I fully agree that Celtic are poor, problem is that with our current injury list we have a very poor squad and are actually worse than them. The saving grace is that we have a better manager.
I also believe that Celtic will drop points between now and the end of the season, the question is whether we can go undefeated and worryingly I don't believe that the current lot have the character to bet them in the two head to heads.

7.) 30 Apr 2024 21:29:44
Storm both teams are poor this season. The fact we haven't beat them is why we ain't in pole position. We dropped 6 points to them in first 2 games, only 3 behind now.

8.) 30 Apr 2024 21:46:21
The good old briggait brings back memories that big dado class mate!

I agree with most of the comment on Tav, as a defender a lot of goals against us comes from him no where to be seen when was the last time he went through a player of even put in a crunching tackle. IMO he is a wizard, he has convinced a lot of fans that he is a great Rangers captain undroppaple, driving the team forwards to glory and success. He will retire a millionaire and has enjoyed all the kudos that comes from being a Rangers captain without delivering on the park, probably contested around 27 domestic trophies and won 3.Can we win our last 6 league games if we do then he deserves hall of fame.

BT, it is difficult to criticise Tav in respect of his attacking contribution although I would agree that defensively he is limited. That said, if we had a powerful right sided central defender and a quality holding midfield that tracked back and provided cover then we wouldn't have the issues that we are seeing now.
Even when Candelas played in front of him we had fewer issues because he provided cover.
Our major problems lie at centre half where Goldson is not fit for purpose and in midfield where Lundsrum provides very little both in defence and in attack.
I would be replacing those positions before Tav although admittedly, if we could cash in on him with some serious money I would be happy to replace him as well.

2.) 16 Apr 2024 16:44:28
Goldson and Kent cost us the Europa League Cup, but both had been lauded by all and sundry during that season.

3.) 16 Apr 2024 17:32:59
I have never lauded Kent.

4.) 16 Apr 2024 17:39:21
How much worse off would we have been over the years without tav?

Joined in the championship and went on to captain us to within a terrible miss of the Europa league, whilst being that competitions top scorer.

I don’t need to repeat his stats as they have been spoke about repeatedly on here.

And this season is having his best season for goals at 24 so far.

He’s made mistakes hut who doesn’t?

5.) 16 Apr 2024 20:49:21
Never lauded Kent. People just say things to make their point seem believable and relevant.

6.) 16 Apr 2024 23:13:33
A good few did guys, I never mentioned any names, Morelos was another who got away with poor performances, nothing wrong with a belief either way, that's what this forum is all about.

Pathetic awful display but are we really surprised, our team is full of English championship reject journey men and our stalwarts have shown over the years that Sutton is right they are serial losers, even the year we stopped terry Munroe we got pumped out of the cups by st Johnstone and st mirren. We have given Celtic the league along with the 30/ 40 million pounds that come with it. Tav yet again caught napping and Goldson is totally finished, both have to go in the summer along with lumbering lundstrum who strolls around doing very little. Questions must be asked about the manager if he thinks back pass and Wright deserve a starting jersey in the last 2 games.

They are now laughing at us. Brenda wants to have fun and toy with us, I don't know a lot of Celtic fans but the ones I do have us down for a humiliation. They will start like Duracell bunnies and we have to get in their faces from the off. We need every player to fight for the Jersey and carry a great deal of luck. I would like to see a midfield of Lundstram, Diomonde and Sterling and I'd play wee McCausland and get him to run at them at least he knows what it's all about.

Souttar might have 1 big mistake in him but Tav has 3 or 4 per game. He single handidly gave St Mirren 2 great chances in the first 7 mins of the last league game and I'm still cringing at the first Celtic goal in the last old firm. A lot of people think we will really miss him when he goes, we certainly won't miss his defending.

Admire your optimism mate but how many goals do we have to gift them if we do it again at their park the league is gone along with the 10s of millions champions league money. Everything about the first half could be predicted Celtic come out like Duracell bunnies then fade off in the 2nd half. IMO Celtic will not drop anything and our very well paid players will have to put in the performance of their lives to not get beat at parkhead.

This is it now on Sunday no excuses, our trophy haul over the years in a 2 team league has been awful. Our captain has won 3 major trophies, the Celtic captain has 20. We have turned a few of our current players into millionaires and it's now payback time. IMO it's a must win game the team who wins on Sunday will win the league. We need to disrupt their midfield and deal with their speed of movement, Sterling with Diomande. and Lundstrum slightly behind would be my midfield for energy up front Silva, Cantwell and Dessers. Celtic tend to comeout a hundred miles an hour then slightly slow down we must score first and pile the pressure on, it's going to be some game.

Agree we have to beat them at home to really put them under real pressure, most old firm games recently have not ended in a draw but if it does, wouldn't want to go to Parkhead only 2 points ahead doesn't bear thinking about.
