What should we realistically expect regarding incomings and outgoings in January?
Might sound bizarre given how this season has gone but we could genuinely be in a title race depending on how we navigate these fixture through to the new year.
I would expect to sign a centre half, left back, centre midfielder and potentially a striker/winger.
Outgoings could be interesting, but more likely to be loan moves.
Dowell and Rothwell potentially to the championship.
Matondo I'd imagine will be loaned out to see out the remainder of his contract.
Nsiala I'd prefer to keep but understand he has interest in multiple European leagues.

Can see Dowell, Rothwell and Scarlett Matondo sitting tight until the summer, or should I say lying tight on the treatment table, the most underwhelming trio since the bee gees.

Jeez I forgot about Rothwell - better than Dowell and Matondo is all I can say - those 2 btw are awful - hopefully DR allows no more dross into the squad as they cost a fortune and give nothing.

Dowell and Matondo will probably go on loan to finish their contracts with us, Matondo should be desperate to play and try to go to the WC with Wales. I don't see why Rothwell would hang around if he gets an offer and he's not wanted. It would be good to send Djiga and Aarons back if we could and get rid of both Danilo and Chermiti.
Antman won't go now because of his injury and I wonder, if we could get an attacking midfielder in, where would that leave Cameron, Aasgaard and even Bajrami.

I think a lot of fans are building up the January window as a quick fix which I just don't see as realistic.
It's a notoriously difficult window to bring quality in with most clubs unwilling to lose their best players mid season.
Our squad is also needing a lot of work after a terrible summer. There is way to much to fix in a single window.
I genuinely think if we get one or two in that have an impact we will be doing well.

I've said similar Tommy.
A lot of posters are thinking that this window is going to unearth some gems but as you say most clubs are in the same boat with not wanting to lose their assets mid season.
More likely out of contact or players t he at are not fancied that are available.
I expect the summer is when we will target a bigger number of players.

Matondo will want to have a chance of World Cup imo if wales qualify so will at least go on loan till end of the season but think he is out of contract so should try and get any fee.

See if Stoke want another Matondo (think they have the brother) and offer Dowell for free or pay them a few quid. Rothwell swap for a used minibus low mileage.
