Would take Abada in a heartbeat for several reasons.

Jonas Wind - No we need a proven goalscorer and would want £££s.
Dennis Cirkin - no too many hamstring injuries and is only 23.
Dan Niel - nope too many EPL flops here and not good enough for Sunderland this season.
Arouna Sangante - Yes would be a smart choice.
Malang Sarr - No thanks as he would want decent £££.
Liel Abada - Nope for obvious reasons.
Rafiu Durosinmi - No, buy in January instead so as not to run the risk of him going elsewhere.
Felix Beijmo - Yes as back up.
Kai Wagner - no, don't see him as being good enough.
Denys Popov - wouldn't be against it on a bosman.
Yari Verschaeran - I would take a punt but we need goals from midfield.
Mees Hilgers - No another Propper for me.

Some interesting names on there, would take Starr, popov and Wagner for starters. Pretty low risk with no fee for them all, just shows there are options out there.

What about Souffian El Karouani as LB. I know Real Betis are monitoring him and we have been linked with their Sporting Director.

I would steer well clear of Abada. I know he was always a thorn in our side but I feel he very much suited their style of play under Ange. However he's struggled in America and they are trying to shift him on now.
Add into that the amount of baggage he would have due to 1) being an ex Celtic player and 2) the whole Isreal situation, and how much abuse he'd probably receive in his day to day life just living in the west of Scotland again, you'd have to imagine all of that could have a major affect on the guy mentally which in turn would likely have a huge impact on his performances.
When it comes to him there's unfortunately so much more to consider than just his actual footballing ability.

the question isn't whether they are good players though. It is whether they are proven winners and also have the mentality to deal with the expectations of the club and crowd. lots of decent players have come here but never performed.
what we really need is 11 players with the mentality of Dessers who seemed to be able to handle that pressure. it is that ability to prove everyone wrong which is needed.

Millerbrandwilson, looks very like Cirkin is moving to Spurs, Dan Neil Roma, would have been good signings for Rangers.
