Im amazed in the number of people that want old players back, yesterday alone we've had calls for Sima, Cerny, Morelos, Katic, Kent and Barasic.
I would rather look forward instead of back.

There are plenty of good players available in the market that we can afford yo bring in without the old guard who many called out as a waste of a jersey week in and week out on here.

29 Nov 2025 09:33:41
I would agree, a lot seems to be basing on what they did a number of years back. When the sima option came out my gut reaction was he is not doing well or starting at Lens. So is he good enough to come back? We bought Miovski on what he did at Aberdeen. That's not worked out yet.

29 Nov 2025 09:44:12
Big difference with Miovski and Sima, Sima has already proved he can do it in a Rangers jersey, he done well last season, he's maybe not suited to the way Lens play, personally i would be over the moon with a front three of Sima, Morelos and Cerny, but it won't happen.

29 Nov 2025 09:48:42
Past success doesn't guarantee future performance of a similar level. Would rather look forward.

29 Nov 2025 10:15:41
I agree jfm, although i would make an exception for cerny and sima mate.

29 Nov 2025 10:23:46
Why would you not want players back who are proven successes in our league, and are still young enough to be successful again?

There is not one current player anywhere near the quality of Sima, Cerny and Alfie! If (never happening) they signed, our starting 11 automatically goes up several notches in quality. Are you against that? Is it not more of a risk to bring in players with no experience of our league? Look at the last few matches?

29 Nov 2025 10:27:49
Morelos? You've got to be joking?

The same Morelos that has failed everywhere he's been and been dropped for being overweight or other attitude issues like not training properly. Or the same Morelos that hit someone whilst drink driving? Sorry but Morelos was a problem first time around, we don't need these problems again.

29 Nov 2025 10:35:14
New signings doesn't guarantee "future performance" either, Fork!

Look at all the failures we have had since the last season on the SG days?! We have had much more failures than successes, so your arguement is just as risky as out arguement. However, we know these guys can play, score, and have experience of being successful in our league, so I would say they're a much safer bet to succeed.

29 Nov 2025 10:52:13
Boomerang failed? He is doing well right now and won a treble in a better league than ours last season.

29 Nov 2025 10:56:37
Correct but why do u want a drink driver with a damages claim to come.

29 Nov 2025 11:05:17
Past success means nothing. Where are they now. Are the still playing well and at a level that we need. Doesn't matter what they have done in past. It's not relevant to now. Yes they may no the club and what it stands for but means nothing if the above mentioned is not there.

29 Nov 2025 11:05:48
Also would the club want him, sima isn't getting minutes, will he be as gd, and by all info on here cerny wasn't interested in staying, by all means in form and no baggage, yes, but as I said I'd prefer to move on.

29 Nov 2025 11:06:38
**that was meant to say "last few batches" not matches**.

29 Nov 2025 11:39:02
Ssfc if we got the dima and cerny that we got first time around then fine. If Sima is that good why is he not getting much game time. Cerny wanted away, I was a huge fan of Morelos and fought his corner many times but his behaviour at our club was bad enough, people gave Tom Lawrence a hard time on here because of his past history so why is it OK for Morelos.

He's had problems at every club he's been at.

29 Nov 2025 13:05:16
Sima didn't want to come back Cerny didn't want to come back so it's pointless. A lot of players don't want to play long term in Scotland. I agree with you fork. Yes those 2 are better than what we have but the problem is getting them to play here for more than a loan.

Jfm good post. I don't want Alfredo back. i backed him when he was here but I ain't massive on bringing players back especially ones that were trouble.

Why do we bring back the king of assisting the assister in kent? ?.

29 Nov 2025 13:05:32
Morelos has been called out and dropped at every club he has been at for his negative attitude, being overweight and lack of fitness. Every single club! He over stayed at Rangers and ruined his reputation.

Why did he never make it to one of the top 5 leagues? Put simply, he was never good enough. One or two back every player to be great but have never got one right ever. Madness.

29 Nov 2025 13:16:58
You told us the MLS and the lower English leagues are better than our league yet the vast majority of players from these leagues failed at Rangers because they are not good enough. Those leagues might be more competitive but the standard of player is not any better than our league and that includes the Colombian league.

29 Nov 2025 13:22:13
I would agree to an extent but I don't regard Sima and Cerny as going back for old players. These two guys were never our players and they did well enough that we would have signed them if we had been able to afford them at the time.

Situations change and maybe the opportunity comes again and this time we can bring them in. Depending on fitness and circumstance we should do it. I would add Tilman to that but that is never going to happen.

29 Nov 2025 13:31:18
Cerny sima came in done an excellent job moved on, would take both back in a heart beat, but alfredo morelos, really? The same guy that was around a stone or 2 overweight his last season, constant weight problems, petulant child that spat the dummy constantly
The most basic thing any player has to do is stay in shape, something he could hardly ever do for his adoring fans, we are desperate but surely not even close to being that desperate.

We also need a striker that can score against our biggest rivals regularly, not the 2/3 goals he scored against them in 5/6 years.

29 Nov 2025 13:32:45
Id take Dessers back though, with his goals some of these draws would have been wins and we could be sitting top of the league.

29 Nov 2025 13:47:22
That is nonsense boomerang, start player last season when winning a treble in a better league than ours.

29 Nov 2025 14:21:09
Star player.

29 Nov 2025 14:40:50
Its not nonsense. Morelos is nowhere near good enough that's why he's playing in an unknown South American league.

29 Nov 2025 15:13:21
You do realise his league is rated higher than our league coldo, his team won a unique treble with him being a star player last season.
The Colombia league is unknown to you? that says a lot.

29 Nov 2025 15:26:47
It doesn't matter if its rated higher, so is the English Championship. The players in these leagues are not good enough to play with Rangers. It has been proven countless times with players from England, South America and the USA failing to make it at Rangers. You have backed these leagues and players from them and not once has it worked out for you.

Cortes, Cifu, Sands and all the players you backed from England have failed in Scotland. Its all the evidence you need to know that these markets and leagues are not of the required standard.

29 Nov 2025 16:11:42
Agree with fork you have got to look forward, a lot of reminiscing because the recruitment has been poor, had it been better then the past players wouldn't get a mention.

29 Nov 2025 16:32:00
Correct Rose?.

29 Nov 2025 16:37:58
So players can't be found in England is what you're saying coldo, you're having a league ranked 11/13 in the world as unknown league, deary dear man, you're mental.

29 Nov 2025 17:21:30
Where did O'reilly come from, where did Joe Arbio coldo sure that was league one.
