Tom thumb just to clarify one thing quickly as I respect you enough to at least give you an answer.
I stated the fact that Scotland are ranked 36th.
This is the club co-efficient ranking.
It has everything to do with the club's performance, i mentioned nothing of the national team.
Overall 5 year rankings Scotland are in 18th.
This year's rankings 36th.
I referenced Gibraltar, who are in 35th.
I hope this helps the confusion for you my friend.
Now take care and enjoy Hrvatska.

To be honest, Rangers have carried Scotland's coefficient for the best part of the last five or six seasons with our performances and results in Europe.
We've had a one-off poor season in Europe this year, but hopefully that will be rectified by the start of next season.
That said, if we're taking the League Path and starting out in the second qualifying round, it's going to be a difficult route depending on who we draw and how well Rohl has the team drilled. Recruitment from here on in is absolutely paramount it has to be spot on to ensure we have the strongest Rangers side possible, properly equipped to face the challenges of European qualification next season
To be brutally honest, if Rangers had faced your Brann side a couple of seasons ago, I think we would have wiped the floor with them Asa.
However, the current situation with the new ownership still trying to find there feet, managerial changes and the nightmare of Martin, and poor recruitment this season it seems so far from has left us in a tough position.
I trust that the manager will have things sorted, and that recruitment will be much improved going forward. Strengthening the squad will not only improve our chances domestically but also ensure we're ready to compete effectively in the European qualification rounds that's what i hope anyway.

For anyone that's missed asa posting 4 times now that Scotland are behind Gibraltar, I'll say it again, SCOTLAND ARE BEHIND GIBRALTAR, can we now get over that and move on. Just for clarification for anyone that's missed the threads he's repeated that four times in relation to setting up an Atlantic league ?.
13 Nov 2025 14:37:42
Spot on Asathor.
It's been a horrendous year for all Scottish clubs in Europe.
Especially since Rangers aren't flying the flag as per usual.
And in a year or 2, I believe qualification is going to be even harder.
And we will also lose a place I believe. Back down to only 4 competing.
13 Nov 2025 14:43:58
And do t forget Rangers lost in Norway and Celtic lost in Denmark ????.
13 Nov 2025 14:47:32
R we ver since I was a kid (in the seventies) Scotland has struggled in Europe apart from the odd season? But the Scottish league will continue and the thought of that Atlantic League is a no go….
13 Nov 2025 14:49:40
Stingo even last season mate, remember we won 0-4 in France against Nice, a far superior team than Brann.
13 Nov 2025 15:21:01
And beating Nice last season makes the Brann humiliation all the easier, MyStar?
That's what makes Asathor's point spot on.
All Scottish clubs have capitulated big time this season.
Rangers worked hard and built a reputation in Europe that seen us get beat of Progres and languish in 290+ spot in the club rankings to climb up to the 20's in the space of about 7-8 years.
That reputation is easily destroyed with a horrendous campaign like this season.
Which, by the way, I think is salvageable under Rohl if our strikers start scoring and our defence gets a grip.
13 Nov 2025 15:23:47
Can someone please explain how Scotland have been ranked below Gibraltar? What is the justification?
13 Nov 2025 15:52:26
Listen guys yous are all jumping on the bandwagon here cracking jokes
See at the end of the day Asa is stating facts here and that's why he's cracking up. The guy is stating facts and yous are all arguing with him.
This all stemmed from an idea o dab an Atlantic league rhat yous all had questions to ask about but when the guy answers them yous attack him.
I think it's pish what yous are all doing.
13 Nov 2025 16:10:17
Mph I've been saying that for a while on here that it's going to get so much harder to qualify for Europe, especially with a season like this. Hopefully we get our act together and start competing next year in Europe, wouldn't hold my breath with Thelwell lurking mate.
13 Nov 2025 16:06:03
Mph the main reason for Rangers has being poor in Europe was because Martin was manager, he wasn't we wouldn't be pointless.
13 Nov 2025 16:13:35
Stevie where in my reply have I attacked anyone?
13 Nov 2025 16:20:45
Yes it will be harder getting into Europe now, but Rangers can't be held responsible for that.
13 Nov 2025 16:22:35
MPH
We've been horrendous in Europe everyone can see that.
I genuinely believe that if we'd had a different manager in place during the summer, we wouldn't be in the situation we're in now.
EHL and others have mentioned some of the players that Koppen had scouted and lined up, but Martin came in and rejected them all.
That's really where things started to fall apart.
I'm still not sure I fully trust Thelwell we'll just have to wait and see.
Outside of this season, we've generally punched above our weight in Europe, but this year has been a real disappointment.
As for the idea of an Atlantic League I've no clue about it, and debating it here isn't going to make it happen or stop it from happening. So I'm staying out of that part of the discussion.
What really concerns me is our team's European performances. They've not been good enough.
Hopefully, with the financial backing of Cavanagh and the 49ers, we'll see a rejuvenated Rangers in the next campaign. Surely, things have to improve.
13 Nov 2025 16:32:24
Stig, I agree with all your points.
13 Nov 2025 16:41:17
Co-efficient points gained this season, Teddyblue.
Which means we will lose our 2 places in the CL and qualification for all comps has become more difficult.
13 Nov 2025 17:06:37
Thanks for the reply MPH.
13 Nov 2025 17:31:54
One team that will suffer more than any other is them with no CL football!
Yes we need the coefficient up, but if we're not competing at CL and they are then we will. be constantly in their tales!
Tough one, but we need them to be weaker and we need luck.
13 Nov 2025 17:32:51
Ok, but why would Andrew and Parasg be interested in an " atlantic league" devoid of the nighest names in football.
13 Nov 2025 17:39:31
Stig I agree because if Rangers faced my Brann side a few years ago they would have faced a second division side.
13 Nov 2025 17:47:20
Yer Maws maw the champions would need to play about three qualifying games, so we wouldn't have anything to worry about if Celtic won the league.
13 Nov 2025 18:09:27
Rangers faced Brann last season they take a good beating, or if we never started with Martin it would be this season, comparing Rangers with Brann is nothing more than crazy talk.
13 Nov 2025 18:14:04
This is just another pile on with the same people that say they don't ever do a pile on. Lot of people on here need to grow up just because of facts that have been spoken they don't like.
14 Nov 2025 01:57:51
Stig I didn't say u mate I said people I've not read every msg but I general ots a bit over the top imo mate.
