I saw there was some chatter around Aribo, what's the forums view on bringing him back? Could probably get him for around 1.5million although I'd imagine he'd need to take a pay cut. But if he wants to play again and get his groove back, he could be a useful signing in my opinion.

He's out of contract and not playing so for me no reason to pay up front for him and keep his 50k a week up. Sign him on a Bosman and if Southampton want then we pay half his wage till the end of the season.

Personally I'd have Aribo back. He's better than anything we have and a big unit. He knows the league and has performed in Europe. It would be cost dependent thou and he'd need better players around him but if he's a free or a minimal fee I think given where we are now and the standard we're at I'd take him.
I understand the "he's 29, no sell on value" but you can't have a team of youngsters or players you want to flip you need 4/5 experienced players.

70k a week he'd have to take a massive pay cut and I'm not sure he's what we need right now. As much as I think he's class need to remember he had some workhorses behind him back then.

If he takes a massive wage cut I'd have him back for sure. Surprised it's really not worked out that well for him down south. He's about the only one I'd bring back.

He's no longer on £70k a week, his wage was cut by 35% on relegation, so it's £45k we're looking at, a bit nearer to what we might be able to offer. He's miles better than anything we have now, so why not go for it?

No sell on value. what are we doing?

Waltersguitar sadly there's no sell on value with the numpties we've got and all the loans either. Need experience in amongst the potential and he wouldn't be agitating for a move quickly again.

You can't have a team of players with who are young with a sell on value. We need 3-5 who are late 20's, proven and will give us 5 yrs of service unless we great a bid we can't turn down.

Im sure a deal for all parties could easily be agreed. The main thing would be that he'd need to fancy it first.
Not sure he enjoyed living up here, first time round. But he's older and knows what he'll be going into.
As a player if we get him match sharp and get some form out of him he'd still do damage up here, no doubt. He is versatile, strong, good dribbler and knows us and the league, also he'd probably fancy another wee crack at Europe.
