I just want to add to the posts regarding the young fan getting injured by a flare.

I have seen posts elsewhere asking what the normal, decent fans are doing about it, and I wanted to say something.

Was it the UB's with the flares? If so, normal fans are scared to challenge them, and i can fully understand why?

Many on here describe the UB's as silly wee boys, but that's just not true. They are dangerous wee boys, and intimidating. Normal fans will not stick any of them in due to the fear of reprisals.

We have the ex leader of the UB's all over the media while he conducts wave after wave of attacks across Scotland. We have another locked up as part of the biggest, and dangerous, OC gang in Scotland. And on top of this, they have an organised, and trained, fighting crew whose goal in life is to knock ten bells out of rivals. Also, there is many more of them involved in all sorts.

Seriously, who would want to stand up to this mob? I can handle myself, with history of not being a Saint, and who has trained in boxing, kick boxing and MMA, and even I wouldn't take them on. They are a dangerous bunch!

Until the club find the balls to ban them, they will continue to do what they are doing, with no consideration for anyone else.

Good post ss.

10 Dec 2025 13:05:58
Fair points all round SS, what bugs me is they profess to love the club, yet besmirch it's name at expense to the club and other fans, I agree the club should chase them out.

10 Dec 2025 13:42:06
Every club has this element. look no further than the east end and the antics they get up to. Just young thugs who think they are fans but do more damage to the club than good.

but one thing they do bring is an atmosphere at Ibrox and the away games. take them out of the picture and Ibrox would be a morgue especially when we go down a goal.

10 Dec 2025 13:44:33
Sunshine, there's a fair old chance that the SFA will seek to extend FBO's (10 year Football Banning Orders) on people who are caught using pyros in stadiums. Yes, it will require vigilance and robust policing to identify culprits accurately.

It's got to happen, as this practice is so dangerous, disruptive and costly to clubs, due to fines and bans.

10 Dec 2025 13:56:59
Or maybe those who feel intimidated by them would step up to replace them for atmosphere. Was there no singing or chanting before the UB or flares and pyro took over?

10 Dec 2025 13:59:47
Not one of them would survive a days training at my sons gym, they would be obliterated in under a round and not come back (by our beginners), they are silly wee boys who need weapons or a group to even the odds, seen a million of them come through our doors with an ego as big as jupiter, get humbled, never to be seen again, and i will see a million more.

Hardly a man among them mate.

10 Dec 2025 14:41:06
Sunshine

Not sure they are as organised as you infer. Think they are bunch of neds hiding behind casuals grey face. I, like yourself, can handle myself having boxed 20 years and would gladly jump in knock them good-looking. Firstly need to be identified, then degraded, disjointed and a mass group organised true gers fans punch @@@@ outta them. If they organised, then true gers fans organised to keep them away from Ibrox. Club should also jump in.

10 Dec 2025 15:24:13
Obviously there's a couple on here not grasping the post!

Firstly, any fighting gym is controlled, and it's one on one, so that is straight out the window when you're dealing with mob mentality.

Secondly, they are organised, connected, and in the case of this fighting crew whose are attached to the UB's, they are trained

Regardless of how well you can fight, what chance do you have against a mob? Or with some of these members, an OC gang? Behave yourself you don't stand a chance.

This is why the normal punter doesn't stand up to them as they are scared. Who in God's name wants to bring bother to their door, and put themselves, and their family, in danger?

Some just don't get it? There's is no need for anyone on here to try and convince us of your masculinity.

Answer me this. Would any on here have the guts to challenge this mob to their face? Feel free to anytime instead of posting on here what you would, or wouldn't do.

Only the club can get rid of this lot, and work with the police to ensure they don't get in. However, they won't. They might make a token gesture to ban them, but I bet you they still get in somehow.

10 Dec 2025 15:41:07
Decee yes they bring atmosphere, to what cost though mate?
Ss it was suggested to me on here to go kick the ? out of the ubs spray painting my buisness, something they still do to this day, but there's usually around 10/15 of them, I've challenged them on many occasions and the little pr! @#£ don't back down, they are dangerous.

I'd say they range in age from around 17/23 the ones that do it, guesstimate. I've pleaded with these little rats to stop explaining I'm a Rangers fan the same as them but they don't care. Personally I can't stand the site of them, probably more for personal reasons.

Football is meant to be a sport that unites communities, not one that's overshadowed by intimidation, violence, and to be blunt, extremist behaviour. Yet the persistence of ultra culture continues to stain the game and club we love.

Let's be clear: the responsibility for confronting this issue should not fall on ordinary supporters. Traditional fans—families, lifelong fans, and people who simply want to enjoy a match—are the ones most harmed by the toxic behaviour of ultras, not the ones empowered to remove them.

It's the authorities, leagues, and football clubs who have the power, resources, and duty to act. They are the ones who can enforce bans, strengthen stadium security, adopt zero-tolerance policies, and protect the sport from being hijacked by a minority who thrive on chaos.

Fans shouldn't be treated as the problem or be expected to police one another.
Clubs and governing bodies must finally step up, take decisive action, and reclaim football for the vast majority who support their teams with passion—not aggression.

Football belongs to supporters, not to extremists hiding behind team colours. It's time the institutions in charge step up.

So how do they get the pyros into the grounds?
When you see some of the displays this is not the odd banger getting set off. Just how do they get smuggled in without getting noticed. Police/Stewards etc. Are they turning a blind eye?
On the issue of the UB's I also think there is a degree of organisation with some unsavoury types.

I've witnessed these wee Ned's intimidating your normal fan saying things like "are you looking at ma bird? Are you some sort of pedo? " Just baiting for a reply. But also knowing that these wee Ned's have some bigger neds watching over them incase anything kicks off.

10 Dec 2025 16:18:20
I had a run in with one of them away at Dundee, and your right Sunshine he wasn't a teenager, maybe 20 ish and quite a big guy, he was cheeky to me cause I moved away from the tifo to watch the teams coming out, think they try and intimidate some of our fans which is wrong, I just laughed at him as I had my nephew with me and that was the right response.

Ironic actually that I saw a polis ask a young fan to remove a scarf from his face going into the ground, then they let this motley crew in from the exit side in with this huge rolled up banner. Strange.

10 Dec 2025 16:29:15
Sunshine excellent post. There is a difference between saying to the guy next to you who you know to behave and challenging a large group of people so no way should we be asking that. This needs to be down to the club to ban them and the police to, well, police them.

personally I don't think they are there for the football at all but to be that gang culture where they sing their song book, have their displays and light their fireworks. think this is why the same singing happens across a game whether we are winning, losing playing well or poorly.

10 Dec 2025 16:30:45
Miller so your advocating attacking wee boys. the possibility of arrest and a banning order from Ibrox good luck with that, sounds great ?.

10 Dec 2025 16:44:22
I heard from a reliable source, that although the RRC stand alongside the UB at matches, they view them all as wee holes and can't stand them.

10 Dec 2025 17:21:15
The club and police have a duty of care to the fans, but do they have the bottle to sort out this mess, not to sure they do.

10 Dec 2025 17:44:12
I would ban them plain and simple.
I don't agree with they add to the atmosphere and without them it'd be a morgue.
It's usually a dirge or some outdated nonsense we could do without. And don't get me started on the phantom whistler.
If the football is right the atmosphere will be right.
Time the club stood up to them once and for all IMO.

10 Dec 2025 17:59:04
Superb post SS.
To anyone defending them because of atmosphere is just plain ridiculous. They do worse than what they bring to any game of f football. They are scum.

10 Dec 2025 18:03:28
A honestly hope they do.

10 Dec 2025 18:48:04
Mph correct the rrc arw totally separate.

10 Dec 2025 20:40:32
My money would still be on you sunshine! ?.

10 Dec 2025 22:39:05
Rangers fans have got into trouble since before I was born without putting anywhere near the effort and time the UB have put into match days, yes idiots for the flares but do a lot of good as well with displays, new song book and they are last to leave Ibrox every game.

10 Dec 2025 23:07:32
Grasped the post fine. Maybe get a bigger boy to take you to the game and you'll be safe.

11 Dec 2025 00:16:26
If we lose 50 away tickets because of pyro displays, the club should ban 50 random UBs from all games including Ibrox for 10 years. If it happens again, do it again. If we lose 500 away tickets, ban 500.

They will either get the message or we will get rid of them. And yes, they do bring atmosphere to matches but it has got to the stage where they bring just as much grief to Rangers.

11 Dec 2025 08:04:18
The Club previously were very reluctant to tackle the UB's. I can't remember the employees name but I had complained that their behaviour brought shame on our club as they chanted about Tommy Burns at Easter Rd late 2021. He took my phone number and fair play to him rang me the following week and heard me out.

The vile language that night was beyond banter or rivalry it was sickening. I'm rarely if ever offended and hurty words don't bother me but singing songs about players from other clubs who have died is just **** bag behaviour.

11 Dec 2025 09:30:51
Most of the young supporters came and watched them instead of the team when we were in the lower leagues especially, if they do something wrong punish them but leave off with this wanting them banned every two minutes.

11 Dec 2025 11:03:55
There are adults in with them which is really strange. Possibly Fagin types I don't know. No really much different than Arbroath ultras who are much funnier. high pitched though which is quite annoying for local dogs.

11 Dec 2025 13:53:34
Ooooft! Good comeback, bud. ? ????.
