Just from seeing all sorts online about our last 2 matches, I have seen all the usual suspects get it from our fan base and rightfully so. But what amazes me is that Gassama seems to escape all criticism and is never called out.
I get he started brightly but since those first few weeks he has been nothing short of awful and last night for me was the last straw with this lad. When you have Tav turning round and having a go at you because you just watch a man run by you and not track him is shocking. He is just so damn lazy!
Add onto that that he is probably the greediest player I've seen in god knows how long. He very much seems to only be interested in himself and not the team. Never gets his head up and his passing is just awful! I would hope that Rohl has the fortitude to drop him for a few games and give someone like Curtis a run out and see if he offers more. I mean Curtis has hardly played and is still got more goals than our 2 summer striker recruitments.

I've been of the opinion for about 5 weeks now Gassama is no better than Matondo.
Both quick, both can score a screamer but play with their heads down, end product very poor and average football players.
He's miles off the required standard.

Bigbluejim, I liked him as soon as he arrived, he will improve, has very quick feet and plenty pace, and likes a goal, but if he doesn't cover back and show a vast improvement in work rate he can't be in our side.

Be as greedy as you like as long as there is an end product, of which he has none.
The mince we have were predominantly playing in the lower leagues, and some not even playing at all.
This squad has been cobbled together, at a fair enough outlay I might add, to win the league and to make its mark in European games, by a clown who saw fit to spend 8m on one of those players, not once but twice. 8 million.
I only hope that our owners are comfortable writing off these losses and correctly funding someone who knows what they're about, because we have blown that initial investment on utter dross that are worthless.

I thought we had signed a cracking player at the start of the season after his initial burst of form.
But since then he has went backwards.
And as BoyBlue has alluded to, his decision making at times is criminal.
Shoots when he pass.
Passes when he should shout.
And fell to the ground when it was easier to stay on his feet and get a shot away.

He's not even that quick either. Again probably see a slightly better output from him if we were flying but does not have the ability to produce when we are up against it. Bajrami hasn't done anything special the last couple of games but you can see the difference between an international level player that a run of the mill.

Yeah it really got me thinking, as he was decent for PSG youth teams but they were happy to let him go and then his option was a struggling championship team. I think he had a new club bounce and has now just became complacent.
BB4 he certainly hasn't and it shows what bad state we are in when we can't leave him out but I don't know if I can continue to watch players like him play game after game.

bigbluejim spot on Gassama started quite brightly but as someone said is no better than Matondo we are carrying so many duds in every part of the field i have got to believe that lack of confidence is playing a part because the bad passing losing the ball not taking the right option not tracking back in not just one game and by multiple players you can only draw the conclusion that they are not good enough.

Hearing plenty criticism of him now. Had us all off our feet to begin with so maybe that's why not as bad as others and sometimes he delivers. Perhaps the fact that noone else is performing has affected his form badly too.
Maybe once we get a few more in he'll get back on form. There's a good player in there, tho hope he quits the diving too.

He is just as bad as the rest. He was lazy last night and his final ball is atrocious but it's ok as all wingers are inconsistent we keep getting told.

Gassama only interested in one person, that is himself, overrated, lazy, greedy, not tactically aware.
There is a reason he was at Sheffield we'd, just not the required standard.

Gassama is massively better off the left, we are hanging our hats on the guy to carry that front line and score goals. Imagine cerny on the right and igamane through the middle I'm sure Gassama would be a lot better and have a lot less pressure on his shoulders…our players are poor overall. Guys like Gassama and Aasgaard should not be coming here and expected to be the star players carrying a club like ours…they should be able to have been brought through gradually had we had experienced quality squad like Gerrard/gio years….
buyer don't and every signing needs to be great instantly due to how poor we are.

In 102 games for us and Sheff. wed Gassama has 5 assists! That's 1 gosl hrs created every 20 matches. That's outrageous fir a winger. he's got 11 goals in those 102 matches.
