Regarding the clamour to award a penalty for the Dio offence. I can only say in his defence, and I am basing this on the SPFL guidance given last year in a very similar offence, it was more out than in.
There, that should clear things up and form an unshakeable, solid, watertight argument.
Should Jack have walked?
I couldn't possibly comment as I didn't see the incident ?.

If Diomande had a brain he would be dangerous. Does something like that pretty much every game.

Dio is becoming a liability, honestly I just don't see what he brings to this team. We were very fortunate and at 1-0 that could have been the equaliser and changed the course of the game. I know its ifs and buts but that glakit look on his face summed him up. I hope he's one of the next out the door.

Diomande is becoming a liability. don't think Butland even fouled anderson got the ball. If only he came out like that in the 1st half when he should have.

It's his follow through that's the problem which doesn't matter if he gets the ball but not to see it again. Getting the ball 1st irrelevant in football these days.

Personaly think it's a pen all day. Ball travelled from a distance and a clear hand ball. I'd be livid if it wasn't awarded for us.

He's not for me, I'd get him punted for as much as we can get sooner rather than later.

Dio getting himself in lots of silly mistakes like that and it's going to cost us. Hopefully Rohl sorts it out of him.
07 Dec 2025 12:30:48
When we are defending, he should have specific instructions to, stay near the halfway line ( that's if we must pick him ) !

I'm not a fan of Diomande but we shouldn't ignore that he did set Miovski up for the first goal. He does seem to have developed a habit of making unnecessary daft fouls this season which has already seen him sent off twice in Europe. That could easily have been a penalty as it was all down to interpretation of when he let go and there was no need to do it, if he had just matched the run like he should have.
I think Butland getting a good foot on the ball did save him and it was actually his thigh area that caught the boy on the follow through.
To be fair the officiating was poor for both sides, Anderson was given offside in his own half, how bad is that,

If it was against us I would have claimed for a penalty.
Starting to think if we get a good offer I would take it.
Barron on the other hand out standing.
Hold on to him.

Storm, I think different associations apply the laws a bit different (rightly or wrongly).
In England you only need to get the slightest touch on the ball first. Therefore in England the Butland challenge is perfectly legal.
Anderson kicks the ball off Butland (save) then Butland contacts Anderson - no foul.

Storm i actually had a guy in junior football get to the ball first, punch me in the face in the follow through, but couldn't understand that getting to the ball first was irrelevant. He even said to me after the game, will you tell the ref I got to the ball first, I said no problem as long as you tell him you punched me and he was all for it, absolutely bizarre.
So many people still think if you get to the ball first, it's ok to do anything in the process ? that was nasty from Butland and we'd be screaming for a red if it was other way around.
07 Dec 2025 13:55:57
Both incidents happened outside the box, and there was cover for Butlands challenge, defender just behind him.
07 Dec 2025 14:02:38
Bb4 ??
Zikos that's not true about England I have seen plenty sent off when they get the ball 1st it's all about follow through and where they are caught.
07 Dec 2025 15:22:13
Defy a bit of luck on both. Am sure we'd all be claiming them both against us. Wasnt much in the Dio one but continued into the area so every right to claim a pen. Silly and lazy decision making, young Cameron must be wondering what he has to do to get some minutes. I think Butlands starting position was too deep for that incident, albeit a blind pass from Connor Barron (probably the only mistake he made all game! ) but I'd say he did get a touch of the ball first altho most of it was with his trailing leg, again borderline.
Just happy we've had a bit of luck with the decisions recently but can't rely on that forever.

Ment to add the boy got sent off, but still pleading for me to tell the ref he got ball first.

Anybody notice the foul that was given against Fernandez in the build up to Moores goal was the same as the foul committed by Kuhn on Diomande in the lead up to Kuhns goal in last years League Cup Final. A non decision overshadowed by the penalty kick fiasco.
