Very dramatic news regarding the sacking of both Thelwell and Stewart. Interested to see the approach Cavenagh and 49ers take from here.
Seems very sudden given club media had Thelwell do interview over international break and discussed the future. Big meeting also held regarding transfer plans and assessment of squad with Rohl. Rohl even mentioned this in Friday's presser.
Keen to see what profile we go for in these roles and perhaps how our transfer plans look going forward. Thelwell was very much aligned to the English football club approach. Wouldn't be surprised if we adopt a similar approach taken by Red Bull group.

Its hardly surprising, not one of our summer signings are good enough and both approved £8m for Chermiti who is the biggest dud of them all. I am willing to give Miovski the benefit of the doubt for the time being, only because he has proved that he can score and play in this league.
I would like to see him with better players who can supply him. As for the rest, well the less said the better.

It's not surprising but it's the same as with the manager it has took them too long to make decision. Both should have been away with Martin.
I can't believe a few people on here were backing them ?.
I would love to know why it's took them as long to do it? Yes I wanted it but strange to happen now. We are a basket case of a club right now. Hopefully this is the start of going forward.
Stig all the rest expect to keep jobs which is crazy. Why let Thelwell pick all these guys if we were going to get rid it's utter madness.

Actually think it's rather fast for getting rid of them, said last month they were getting backed, the people brought in clearly found a problem for sacking them or dismissal.

It still feels sudden, understand there was a review taking place and awaiting the outcome of that.
But we still went ahead with further appointments which Thelwell was involved in - that of his son in a senior recruitment role and the appointment of Jonathan Hunter-Barrett as Academy Director.
Perhaps the sequence of events since the takeover, the appointment of Martin at Thelwells recommendation which instantly put us on the backfoot. Stewart would have also known from fellow directors it wouldn't be received well. The transfer window failings so far (Chermiti fee). Fan feeling and unrest against Thelwell and Stewart. Personally, I feel they were out of their depth.
I also wouldn't be surprised if Danny Rohl's evaluation of the squad has been quite critical, especially towards some of the summer recruits. We know he wants to make a few modern changes in the background setup.
