A good mate of mine is cousins with Harry and he hasn't heard anything yet. Although that could very well just be because it's just with the clubs at the minute. I personally really like him and so do a lot of hearts fans.

Like Penrice another one that we could have had for free only a year ago but we ignore him, let him join Hearts and now would have to pay out a couple of million if we want him.
We should be identifying these guys earlier as they are pretty low risk signings. I hope we don't make the same mistake with Watson.

Wsl it's the experience of playing week in week out at hearts, the slightly bigger than before crowds slightl bigger expectations and so on that help these type of lads progress.
If we signed them at the time hearts did they probably wouldn't be ready. That's how our own youngsters don't make it here.

We won't be buying any one from hearts is they win the league they get £40million in champions league money I think they will strengthen in January if hearts win the league and get the £40 million it would make them a contender for the next 3/4 years.

this boy may not have shown any great signs earlier, there's hundreds slip by, how on earth should we have got him earlier, in that case so should Celtic, or everyone else for that matter, he plays fir hearts, what right do we have to take him earlier.

Rfc, So you think Hearts would qualify for the Champions league? really can't see that mate, because it will be a few qualifiers and our last years Champions only had one and failed, but really don't believe Hearts will win the league anyway, still thinking we finish in front of Celtic it's ours.

Tom Thumb we don't identify anybody early, these two guys didn't improve that much in a year at Hearts so either they were worth signing then or are not worth signing after one season at Hearts and in Penrices case a struggling Hearts. We've not had a decent left back since Borna was at his peak, so why didn't our scouting set up identify one of these guys as one we could develop.
We could have picked them up relatively cheaply and if it didn't work out then no harm done, where as now to sign them will cost is a bit of cash and there is still no guarantee that they will cope with being at Rangers. Seems a pretty brainless way to run a recruitment strategy to me.

wsl he's having his first full season in the spfl and he's almost 30. He's having a good season yes but so are all of the hearts players.
It's also pretty common in all leagues around the world for teams to buy players for cheaper, perform well in the league and then the teams with more money pay more for them.
Why did lile sign igamane for 11 million when they could have just bought him for 1.5 million the year before?

Dont know much about him mystar tbh. This came from one of his good mates. Both Rangers and millwall been in contact apparently only passing on what i have been told. Rfc hearts won't win the league and if they do they will need to go through hard qualifiers. Only Rangers get direct entry this season for winni g league in Scotland.

massive difference in Souttar to Milne, Souttar is a very decent defender who has had to play beside loan players who aren't very good imo, Souttar's game is suffering because of this. Djiga is a scary player, big John is a nervous wreck sometimes.

Tav 123, you miss my point. I'm not saying we should sign Milne what I'm saying is that IF we are interested in signing him now why weren't we interested last January which is when Hearts signed him. So, when he was 28 he wasn't good enough but at 29 he is, just because he has played 6 months first team football for Hearts. That would indicate to me that he is having one good season rather than being somebody who we should be pursuing.
Your stating of how transfers work is true however I still say we should be prepared to spot players in our league before they move rather than getting them afterwards. We don't have money to waste and identifying guys like Penrice, Milne and Mulligan before they move to other Scottish clubs should be something we are doing, if they are good enough. Its called backing your judgement.

we are giing to need to buy about 5 or 6 decent defenders once the season ends and all the OOC and Loans end, we have 3 defenders left, Sterling, Nsiala, Fernandez and that is all.
3 guys that are not even getting a game, looks like a bigger mess is looming for start of next season, unless we can fix some of that in the winter window.
