Wee thought for debate.
We've all agreed that players should be bursting a gut for the jersey.
And that other teams score last minute winners.
But what example does it send to the players that we ( fans ) expect them to burst a gut to the final whistle and chase every lost cause when a lot of fans start to empty from the stadium around the 70 minute mark?
Or as professionals ( and we have a few ex-pros on here ) should they be ignoring the actions of the fans and doing their best regardless?

See if the players were bursting a gut over the first 70 mins, when the stadium is full, then there would be substance in your question mate, but they're not. The harsh reality is that this bunch of overpaid underachievers are half arsed from the first minute.
If this bunch of blouses had anything about them, the fans leaving wouldn't have any impact on them at all. Maybe they should start playing as a team, and turning the opposition over, and then supporters might just stay.

Shouldn't be given a toss if there are 50k then 30k the last twenty minutes, same if you only have 2k supporters, you need to fight for 90 minutes, seen Tavernier had a smile on his right after the game with Arfied, he should be fuming after that performance a fecking smile.

Totally agree ss. If they gave us a reason to stay, instead of the usual reason to leave, then it might be different. Some on here think the fans are to blame, but imo the fans deserve huge credit for constantly turning up week after week to watch absolute dross for what seems like an eternity now.

Players done it when there was no one in the stadium during Covid so they should do it regardless of how many are in the stands. But sunshine is correct, if they tried hard enough to begin with the stands wouldn't empty as much.

I don't necessarily disagree that we lack leaders in the team. But when I watch this team it's the lack of quality that stands out like a sore thumb.
We have midfielders who cannot find teammates with a pass, wingers who cannot beat a man or put in dangerous balls, strikers who cannot hold up a ball or create space, centre halves who consistently give goals away to errors and full backs that are not particularly good going forward or defending.
While I would like some leadership in the team I would much prefer players who can do the things they are in the team for.

They should be bursting a gut if it's zero fans and can you blame fans leaving early when they are serving up a sh£tshow week in week out. But remember these players need time that's all we hear about the young lad from Portugal who is on close to 30k a week. ?.

i never played in stadia anything like a full Ibrox, but people always left early even at places like clydebank or methil, to go for a beer.
as a Rangers fan I've left early thousands of times, mainly because of traffic, i know the trains, and motorway are very busy, and there's always massive traffic on prw too, so i get some having to get to airports or have long journeys,, altho Ibrox does seem to lose a helluva lot of people at the same time,, my pal told me he queues at subway to pick his car up in town.

Absolutely rubbish. Stands emptying logistical issue down to garbage parking round stadium. Fans leaving early to get home. I personally leave early catch flight back London. Can't get taxi back airport because few there.

I stopped making an effort to go every week a a few year ago but i'm no paid 20k a week to make effort.
Still buy my ST but it gets given away mostly.
