Seeing Aribo loan/option to buy links doing the rounds on twitter. Dunno what his form has been like but could be a decent move to bring in the experience that we lack and also knows the league.

He's out of contract at the end of the season. It wouldn't be a loan with an option.
It will be nonsense anyway. He won't want to come back to Scotland.

Do not let the future be held hostage by the past.
11 Dec 2025 10:12:29
Aribo has no interest in coming back to us so that's not an option.

TBB, Not if his form is poor. Makes no difference he has been here before. If he has been poor no thanks. Also his wages I would imagine would be to high.

He's never really been fancied at Southampton, he's on crazy wages now and would have to take a 60% wage cut to sign for us again imo.
I will say I'm usually against players returning but aribo is one that I would certainly be interested in if he were available.

Can't get a game at Southampton.

Joe Aribo done well enough at Rangers but don't personally want him back and would rather look forward ? For me didn't show up in a lot of our bigger games ?.
11 Dec 2025 12:07:56
He showed up in Europa league final coops and you can't get bigger than that for us.
11 Dec 2025 12:28:58
Exactly storm I get what he's saying but he definitely played his part and then some in our run to Europa fonal.
11 Dec 2025 12:34:55
Not in favour of going back but if we want some players who know how to win in a Rangers jersey then we may have to. At the kind of money being quoted, if he was up for it, I would go for it. A powerful midfielder who is good on the ball, a threat at corners and is good for a few goals, what's not to like.
He was also better as a stand in striker that the actual strikers we have now as shown when he scored in the Europa Final. I seem to remember a cracking goal he scored against Braga to start our comeback when he was actually filling in at left back.

There's been numerous player's that have returned to Ibrox and done a great job.
11 Dec 2025 13:11:29
Ah! The magic money tree must be set to bloom?
What planet are some people living on, he trebled his wages at Southampton, we can't come close to that as well as scraping the barrel to get funds for DR in January.
Reality check incoming soon imo.
11 Dec 2025 14:13:04
He wanted to go back down south.
Depends on the current situation with Southampton, he isn't getting game time and I liked him as a player, wages would be a stumbling point.

I would normally be a hard no if asked for aribo or similar performer to return, however where we are at this moment in time he improves the 11 it's as simple as that, it's the reason tav still appears we have regressed in quality massively over the last few years. We need an injection of experience and better than what we have currently.

Shota, a well thought out saying, I've never heard that saying before, it's one I will not forget, cheers.
