I could see us being interested in Watson but just don't see it with the other two. Maybe a season ago when we needed to pad out the squad with frees but not now.
Pretty sure Beningime has been in his last year a couple of times and we've not shown any interest and the other guy is having a good season, but beware of one season wonders.

Look at latapy, novo, canniggia (could've said past it, some did) k Thomson, Steven Thompson, Kenny Miller, Marvin Andrews. Lee Wallace, Andy Webster. Neil McCann, soo ok NI'm and so on…

Of talented players we have acquired in the past from our own league people wouldn't have wanted at that time.
Look at John mcginn lewis Ferguson Scott brown Josh Doig Calvin Ramsey the right back at Brentford. Rozs Stewart. Andy Robertson, Stuart Armstrong and many many more as to the ones we missed out on.
It's a snobbery not to look in your own backyard. There's no other word for it.

The issue is that when we watch defenders defending for other teams they look good as they have different demands.
Souttar for Rangers in the SPL has an average of around 60 passes per game and a pass accuracy of around 90%.
Last season Katic had and average of 34 passes per game with a pass accuracy of around 75%.
So although he may have strengths you admire, when playing at our club his weaknesses are massively exposed.

Why does the word snobbery get thrown in when anyone disagrees with a player suggestion from the SPFL? I didn't want Shankland as I thought we could get better than him, especially off the back of last season (which on current evidence we didn't) but I wanted Barron and Mulligan, I would take Watson and like the look of Maswanhise, Baningame, Braga, Bowie and wouldn't mind any of them coming in. Is that still snobbery because I didn't want Shankland or Gogic or Armstrong who used to play for Killie?
It's personal preference and opinions. Nothing to do with snobbery. Just another buzzword to label folk that don't have the same opinion as you.

I hold my hands up storm and have stated on numerous occasions that at the time i didn't think lewis Ferguson was good enough for our midfield and i've admitted i got that badly wrong because lewis has proven what a very good midfielder he is/was mate ? But there was definitely no snobbery regarding lewis Ferguson on my part, it was an opinion only, as i've mentioned a good few players that play in our scottish league, that i think Rangers should have signed over the years ?.

Katic win 65% while playing for Zurich, and 49% while playing for Plymouth.
Last season Souttar win 89% of Arial duels
Katic win 72% while playing for Zurich and 65% while playing for Plymouth
Both players average recovery sprints at 29km /h.

Souttar's performance and stats against Roma were good - but he got caught out by a great piece of forward play by a 30m striker which resulted in a goal.
Where we need to be as a team is that when someone makes a mistake we have a structure to minimise the impact - unfortunately we're not there, so when Souttar was out fixed, Tav was also out of position - two mistakes in a row equals goal against that level of opposition.

Its not about snobbery, its about standards. Maybe we look at the current team and think somebody from the Scottish league would be better but that's a low bar and you still have to ask yourself are they at the level you want Rangers to progress to, not are they better than what we have currently signed. Yes, Bushiri and Gogic probably look like an improvement on Djiga but that's not saying much. We have missed a couple of signings from Scotland but we have brought some in, with mixed success.
I thought Kamara was a great signing but not all agree and we brought in supposedly the best centre half in the league in Souttar. Has he been a success? Not for me. I would have loved to signed Miller but he didn't want to come, we have signed Barron and Cameron but they too have their detractors. Its not snobbery its opinion.

Yeah I just love what he offers skill set wise. I'm shocked his aerial duels won are so low. When I've seen him that's been his most obvious skill. Last ditch tackles and winning almost every ball. He really has played outstanding when I've seen him.
He could be a good squad player for sure, look at baloguns age, centre backs get better aftet 30.
