Im glad to see conor Barron getting plaudits, its easy to forget how young some of these players are at times, i feel he's starting to show quality in amongst his workrate and looked desperate to get a goal yday, coupled with his goal line clearance, true box to box stuff.
A fair few players in the squad could be doing with taking a leaf out of his book imo.

Goals is not his thing though, he's a very good player,
I'd rather he found a level of consistency to his game and was, consistent with it than goals, that may come later but right now he's good at what he does he just needs to do it more often.
He's a very very good mf player and we'd be bonkers to sell him. Absolutely bonkers
I said my price would be £5m just 2 weeks ago and almost all laughed and joked at me.

Alot of good points, and i didn't actually take the world cup into account if i'm honest, i see his immediate goals to be claiming a starting jersey for us, but from there who knows.
As for his goals, i couldn't put a prediction on that, was more to point out his box to box work, i wouldn't say he was a 5 mil player yet either John, but i also think he's going to keep improving.

Ive said in another post that he needs to hang his hat somewhre Stevie. Gatuuso was a defensive wall and very aggresive ball winner. For me Barron does not have the physicality to do that, he has the fight for it but not sure in the long run he could do that, I do think he could be coached to score and think that would suit him better due to his dimutive stature.
i'm up for debate on this its a good topic.

I like the comparison and in some ways it's who he makes me think of. Gattuso to start with was a bit of a headless chicken but became quality. Don't think Barron has the aggression or same potential to be of his quality but think he could still have a great career with us.

As well as gattuso's midfield style, i also think connor Barron has a midfield style similar in parts to stuart mccall with his terrier type midfield play ?.
