Had asked this before, with the news of a feasibility study being undertaken for Ibrox, anything people would like to see being done, maybe something you seen at another stadium or the like.

I know on the pitch comes first but see the improvement of the stadium vital if we are to progress.

Would tearing down the three stands be possible or filling the corners, lowering the pitch, I think going forward a 60-65 thousand capacity would be ideal,
All over Europe many teams have or are looking towards improving there stadiums and I see this as important part of our future.

Shota, tearing down stands probably means a nove to hampden, looking what we paid sfa for four games would be exceptionally expensive.

26 Nov 2025 11:23:29
Yes would like a 70,000 seater stadium - anything possibly suppose depends on cost and what owners want but more seats more money.

26 Nov 2025 11:44:00
I would like to just do up what we have improve the standard of the facilities toilets food beverage kiosks the old club store, the stadium footprint as a whole could do with abit of a tidy up imo before any major building works.

Cosmetic improvements may not bring in the revenue that we need but it would improve the overall experience and give us something that we can all be proud of.

26 Nov 2025 11:46:03
Agree John, a move to Hampden would need to happen, and yes be expensive and not ideal for the support but don't see any other option going forward.
Would just filling the corners and lowering the pitch be enough, yes mabye another 5-10 thousand but the overall experience is where most clubs are looking to exploit and building from new could make this materialise, look at the match day revenues of spurs and the like down south it's crazy money, and we could top that with the right direction.

Just depends on how far the owners are willing to go.

There was an artist interpretation came out a few months. Not unlike the Allienz stadium. It looked amazing.

26 Nov 2025 12:09:21
Simple things really, the surrounding areas need a facelift, toilets need done as they are a disgrace, better food.

26 Nov 2025 12:11:28
One stand at a time, just like last time.

26 Nov 2025 13:12:08
Be madness to add capacity by 20.000 until we get a competitive team on the park, been many empty seats this season down to the product on the park.

26 Nov 2025 13:34:20
Rosevale my thinking, brilliant having a 70k stadium but will feel empty having 45/50k.

26 Nov 2025 13:36:04
I don't think they can fill the corners there needs to be a minimum of 2 entry and exits for emergency vehicles i'm sure.

26 Nov 2025 13:37:55
honestly don't see us filling 70000 stadium week in week out. maybe for the big games yes but consistently i don't believe that will happen.

maybe to 60000 might be more realistic.

26 Nov 2025 14:35:51
New stadium. where are we getting £500m ??.

26 Nov 2025 15:37:28
18000 on the waiting list that wouldn't need to wait if we had a bigger stadium, 45 k would give 63 k 50 k would give 68 k, reasonable numbers in a 70k stadium.

26 Nov 2025 16:18:10
70k+ seats. half would be empty after 75mins most games, let's be real

once the team start winning trophies again and competing in Europe then the fans will stay (hopefully)

Under the current leadership, i don't see it happening any time soon.

26 Nov 2025 14:51:20
Supply and demand.
Success on the park can make improvements off the park seem like a valuable investment long term.

26 Nov 2025 15:03:20
Fork

Completely agree. Currently I think main stand holds 50% capacity. Seated newer stands can be reduced weeks, each brand new stands built within playing season/close season. Realistically we could have brand new rebuild 3 seasons at minimal impact.

26 Nov 2025 15:09:36
Never going 70k that's mental.
Can we even lower the pitch anymore? I new we couldn't years ago but something may have changed.

26 Nov 2025 16:27:46
John what was the fee I read somewhere it was 67k if that's true it's not that expensive for 4 games tbf.

26 Nov 2025 16:34:34
I would think we would pay for it the way every other club does, not many have £500 m sitting in a bank acco7nt, it would come from private funding, loans, sponsorships, revenue, past and future, quite a few other streams I, m sure.
The fact is we are falling further and further away, we are never getting the tv money like other leagues so match day money and utilising the ground for other things is the only way forward, and yes we need to be winning to fill it, but this would be a long process to organise and complete so need to start sooner than later.

26 Nov 2025 16:49:16
We are not filling the old place just now! Far less adding 20k capacity on top.
Can we not just prioritise winning something first?

26 Nov 2025 16:55:41
Theres no reason we couldn't fill Ibrox up to 60k there's a waiting list around 15k and WHEN we start winning many of those who've stopped going mainly young adults will gp back. Bigger capacity more income and we could do the work 1 stand at a time so could still play our home matches in Ibrox.

26 Nov 2025 17:15:45
Storm

Tend agree. How many times can we lower without impacting surface? All improvements mentioned so far bit piecemeal. Think overall stadium redesign needed.

Did something not come out about the water table a while back, maybe wrong.
