Just like to say what the F do these idiots get out of totally abusing players and the families because of a game of football, I just don't understand it, I've got a 10 year old and I just got him his first rangers top as I wasn't sure for him to be involved in a old firm team because how abusive some idiots can be, but all I can tell him is to respect every other person no matter the team colours they choose to wear .

03 Jan 2021 23:08:38
Very well said mate.

04 Jan 2021 01:14:59
Not sure what age you are. or your background. BUT. remember being in school, therebwas always idiots, coming from the North our schools were much larger than you find in Glasgow and non denominational. shock! . but we still had idiots, eventually they were found out as idiots, these idiots will be found out in a similar way. Its embarrassing, we aren't just a Glasgow club, or West Of Scotland Club. we are a global brand. millions in investment from every corner. sadly my High School wasnt 🙈🙈.

04 Jan 2021 08:29:21
The same could be said for those that aimed vile comments at Sutton after his father passed away. 👀.

04 Jan 2021 09:13:14
mAr

My dad tried the same many years ago because of bigotry he didn’t want me involved going to rangers games safe to say it didn’t work and rangers were the only team for me.

I thought it was getting better and I think it is but you still have idiots in every club unfortunately.

04 Jan 2021 10:55:51
Even tho we both have seasons, and go to most away games I refuse to let my boy go to old firm games. Absolutely toxic atmosphere.

04 Jan 2021 11:28:23
I said years ago when we were in the lower divisions that I did not miss the OF games one bit and that it wouldn't bother me if there were no more. Coming from very much a mixed family, I just hate all the bigotry and the sectarian crap that goes with the fixture. It's like we are stuck in a time-warp here. No wonder the English would never touch either of us with a barge pole.

03 Jan 2021 21:50:50
Hi

How many more records are Rangers going to break this season.

Can we go the rest of the league fixtures unbeaten, you never know.

Apart from the league cup we have been amazing in all other fronts this season so far.

Gerrard and the board/ team take a bow, you have all done us proud.

Not won 55 yet but we getting there.

Please continue to amaze.

03 Jan 2021 21:47:52
Evening bears just posting some stats before the fans from the east end start saying Refs are out to help us. Since we returned to the Premiership not including this season 2020/ 21 ( source SPFL website) we've been awarded 25 penalties and so have they. We've had 9 penalties awarded against us and they've had 6. We've had 240 yellow cards and they've had 176. We've had 19 reds cards to their 8. They've had 9 wins to our 3. Goals for us 12 and 28 against. Am I missing something. There goes this myth and fake news the Refs help us. As some of you say they never lose only get cheated. 55 is in bound.

03 Jan 2021 23:36:29
Although I could never be bothered looking this up mate I applaud your diligence and totally get your wanting to show these stats, very well done sir.

04 Jan 2021 05:50:56
We’ve beat them more than 3 times. Ryan jack 1-0 at ibrox, tav and Arfield 2-0 at ibrox, Kent and Katic 2-1 at parkhead, Goldson x2 2-0 at parkhead and obviously the 1-0 at ibrox at the weekend with calmacs own goal.

04 Jan 2021 07:35:41
Broxi the original poster said not including season 20/ 21.

03 Jan 2021 19:40:41
Happy new years bears, glad to see us getting the points on Saturday of the mankie mob. We have to reverse result before and had to suck it up. Do you think we will let anybody go that's in the 16-18 squad in january? . I have worry now if we did BUY how much it would change the current make up of the team balance when we are winning and not always at our best?

03 Jan 2021 21:05:48
We need one or two players a winger/ right/ left forward and another midfielder and it won’t change team balance at all.

03 Jan 2021 21:36:55
kJ I think we need ch cover. Edmundson away on loan, Katie a while away.

03 Jan 2021 22:19:15
What do folk think of the boy Dan James from Man Utd. He could be a good shout for a 6 month loan. Was linked with West Brom so surely would rather come here.

03 Jan 2021 23:39:55
I believe there will be 2 maybe 3 coming in and one may be a shock i would love Rangers to offer Aberdeen what they want, or close to, on Monday morning, i think that would be a mini masterstroke, and upset them and the mob across the road, I do think he has a future with Rangers.

04 Jan 2021 00:50:03
Don't think we need midfield cover we've jack and arfield to come back in along with zungu and barjonas.

04 Jan 2021 09:18:08
Jzer am only going by what the manager said saying we are light in CM.

We don’t know when Jack will be back never mind back to full fitness and it was obvious on Saturday that we need bite in there which we didn’t have.

Barjonas isn’t good enough in my opinion or he would have played a lot more by now.

John maybe need a CH would be just a loan but Edmundson isn’t a way in loan yet.

03 Jan 2021 19:40:31
Oh oh the irony now all those Tim's that called us deluded. rewind 5 months celtic 13 point clear rangers have game in hand 2 old firm games still to play. The bears all saying we can still win the league. yet we where all deluded.

Now 2021 similar situation so all you Tim's that think your teams still have a chance of winning the league are you in fact admitting that their 9th was tainted and should never been awarded.

So we where deluded pot calling the kettle comes to mind.

8.45 not 9.

03 Jan 2021 19:58:10
What’s even funnier is the Celtic fans saying it’s only 4 points as they’ll take 6 off us. They’ve no chance, I doubt they’ll win all 3 games in hand. The league will be officially over before the split.

03 Jan 2021 20:01:28
Let’s just focus on beating the Sheep next week.

03 Jan 2021 20:08:38
Theweeblueguy, I have a load of Celtic supporting friends and a lot of work colleagues who support Celtic and every 1 of them says the league is over. I tend to agree with them mate.

03 Jan 2021 20:33:12
Celtic odds 8/ 1 against winning the league.

03 Jan 2021 21:00:38
I'm with Bankie, let's focus on the sheep.
Also Hibs away in Jan, if we win every game in Jan then I will be a happy man and a bit more relaxed.

03 Jan 2021 21:06:54
League ain’t over till the fat lady sings and she ain’t singing yet.

03 Jan 2021 22:11:47
KJA9 - Who's the fat lady? What is the best thing since sliced bread? And who is Larry when they say - happy as Larry?

03 Jan 2021 23:56:14
Happy as Larry! Could not be happier 😂😂😂.

04 Jan 2021 00:58:18
I agree to an extent TWBG, however last years season was called with them having 8 games left to play and a lead of 13 points (10 if we had win our game in hand) . We’ve still got 16 games left with a lead of 19 (10 if they win games in hand) . In my opinion A tad too early to say it’s the same circumstances.

That said, never a better chance for us to deliver the 55. They seemed to be building a bit of momentum, even if it was against the Lower end of quality opposition, Saturday may not have dealt the killer blow but we have inflicted some serious psychological damage which I don’t think they will recover from.

Next few games are vital to hammer home the advantage!

04 Jan 2021 09:19:16
Stuck I can only answer who the fat lady is and that’s me mate and at the moment am not quite singing yet 😂.

04 Jan 2021 10:26:06
Not sure about the fat lady i think happy as Larry is something to do with a boxer of that name not sure why though.

04 Jan 2021 11:46:54
I totally agree guys the league is far from over sheep game next is most important. 3 points a must.

I was just pointing out that, that mob should never have been awarded that title last season. Maybe now their fans will accept now why its tainted.
But hey its Celtic fans we are talking about, if it don't fit their agenda its sweep sweep sweep.

A club and fan base like no other.

Ps Scottish gov, SFA, police ect need to get their finger out. One of my relatives has been left disabled due to this disease and Over xmas n new year I was unable to see my grand kids due to them staying down south and 99% of the uk in level 4 lockdown and the Scotland/ England boarder being closed due to C.V.. Yet this mob across the city are allowed to fly to Dubai. Totally no respect for all of those suffering from the effects of the disease and have experienced lose.

Our own fans yesterday are also a disgrace and let our club down badly.

03 Jan 2021 19:28:25
A wee trip down memory lane, can any Bears remember Jim Steele think we signed him on loan from Southampton, now that's what you call a hard man, needless to say wouldn't last 5mins with today's snowflakes.

03 Jan 2021 19:34:49
Yes 55, I can from memory he signed in blaze of glory in January or so, played 4 games on the bounce, got booked in every one and was suspended, a poor tam forsyth. Unsure if we kept him after that suspension.

03 Jan 2021 19:58:32
bigcheeks
Can't remember how many games he played but knew he got booked every game he played, I remember a midweek game at Ibrox against that mob he done a tackle on Joe Craig on the halfway line, I've never seen a player fly so high in my life.

03 Jan 2021 20:14:44
Think he made his debut at Killie if I remember correctly . Alan Brazil told a story about Jim Steele owning a pub and when Brazil went in to see him he was wearing a gers top ha ha once a ranger always a ranger.

03 Jan 2021 21:04:14
Steele played less than ten games and went to USA. As hard as nails.

03 Jan 2021 21:13:38
Remember him, had previously played with Dundee before moving to Southampton. Think he was member of the Southampton side that won FA cup in 1970s.

03 Jan 2021 22:37:19
55, personally I've never heard of Jim Steele, I'm reading on here he was as hard as nails, was he harder then Terry Hurlock?

03 Jan 2021 23:11:02
Hi Bankie, I was just thinking the same thing, I remember him, I was at his first game at Kilmarnock.

03 Jan 2021 23:30:14
The stuck i hated hurlock playing to the masses with over the ball tackle. Graham Roberts was my kind of tough guy.

03 Jan 2021 23:42:50
He would have tossed Terry hurlock over his shoulder and threw him threw the windae.

04 Jan 2021 09:34:42
I remember many years ago, myself, my young Son, and a friend and his young Son spent an hour with the Rangers Team at the Marriott Hotel in Aberdeen prior to the Aberdeen game the following day. We were giving Graeme Roberts a POTY Gift, and he was great company, he got the who team over to sign autographs for the boys, we said jokingly to him, if you get the chance tomorrow try and put Charlie Nicholas into our corner, and hey, just before the game ended, he tackled Charlie right ant the corner flag, and guess where he ended up, brilliant, what a guy, and more important a gentleman.

04 Jan 2021 13:46:25
Stuck Steele much harder than Hurluck. Roberts and Ian Ferguson also much tougher than hurluck.

05 Jan 2021 22:06:47
Yes he was part of the team that won the FA cup wore the medal round his neck he was hopeless big dirty bugger from Loanhead.

03 Jan 2021 18:45:54
As a boy (6 maybe 7 years old) my old man took me to walk around Ibrox, was a pretty big deal for me as my family didn’t have extra money to take me to games. Anyway when walking round we bumped in to Davie McPherson just at the big blue gates. I recall talking to him and he asked what the last game I seen at Ibrox. Obviously I’d never been to a game so Davie got the gates opened and took me and my dad down to the pitch for some pictures. I will never forget first seeing inside Ibrox stadium. All thanks to big Sweethert McPherson.

03 Jan 2021 18:56:28
A big gentleman.

03 Jan 2021 20:13:00
I knew big Davie McPhersons brother, a nurse in Paisley, he went out with my girlfriend at the times sister.

03 Jan 2021 23:00:42
Good big guy. Met him 3 or 4 times at functions.

03 Jan 2021 23:43:51
I was speaking to David not long ago, working as an agent i think, aye great guy.

03 Jan 2021 17:46:46
Stephen Kelly returning to Ibrox. The manager rates and wants to assess the boy in advance of 21/ 22 season. County have asked to keep him for remainder of current season.

03 Jan 2021 18:03:43
I know they want to keep him, but we have option for him to return in January window.
We r getting light in the middle.

03 Jan 2021 20:22:08
We could do with him with Jack and Arfield out for weeks. Not sure about Zungu. Kelly playing well for County now he his getting a regular game.

03 Jan 2021 21:06:14
Bankie I think if we bought him back, wrap up league then tell him he’s in for five six games, see how he performs,
I think he is a cracker.

03 Jan 2021 23:02:30
The lad is destined for great things according to reports.

03 Jan 2021 17:41:49
1 aspect of our game we need to change immediatly is giving the ball back to macgregor to play long, his pass ratio is honking every game. top class shot stopper but can't pass a ball longer than 20 yards. its the 1 side of gers that can vastly improve just by cutting McGregor out of the passing around the back.

03 Jan 2021 18:26:18
Sorry Davie. Need to disagree. We’ve scored over 50 goals so far, including some building from the back and it’s not like we are conceding goals due to mistakes.

If it isn’t broke don’t try fix it.

03 Jan 2021 18:40:03
McGregor is fine when he can pass it short to the CH's.
It's his distribution when he has to go long himself that is the problem.

03 Jan 2021 18:41:42
Agree Davie, he is a fantastic keeper but not suited to kicking under pressure.

Gave away lots of possession when we were under the cosh with his wayward kicks - second half we created more space so he wasn’t under the same pressure.

03 Jan 2021 19:04:19
Pretty sure that’s why most decent teams play out from the back even when the best long ball keepers go long it’s never guaranteed to go to a teammate especially as none of our midfield or front 3 are big guys but given the manky mob did have us under severe pressure I thought Mcgregor dealt with it very well indeed and was the only real candidate for man of the match.

03 Jan 2021 19:24:32
It was only bad yesterday because celtic weren’t letting us play out from the back I think that was glaringly obvious but hey ho we never have had the problem in any other game this season.

03 Jan 2021 19:43:22
Guys personaly I noticed this about 5 games ago and have kept an eye on it and MacGregor's pass ratio ain't great. it wasnt just yesterday. I'm also saying not to play out of the back I just personaly think cutting macgregor out of the last pass would make our ball retention a lot higher. agreed it's not costing us in games either at the moment but were always striving to be better that's 1 main weakness I've seen that can easily be rectified.

03 Jan 2021 21:05:11
LMAO. Imagine talking about McGregor's passing the day after a performance like that on his 400th game for the club.
And I thought I was hard to please. lol.

03 Jan 2021 21:10:45
I agree with u Davie, I hate the ball at his feet.
But that’s how SG wants it done, as u say it let’s us retain ball if not hit long.
Most teams want this now., it’s why Chelsea changed keeper, also read article today re Southampton manager saying that’s why Forster was not getting game, but has worked very hard on it for six months
It’s not really Alan’s game, more suited to McLaughlin and mccrorie.

03 Jan 2021 22:10:40
Magic Tex 😂 it’s fing laughable this site at times the guy just had a blinder had 2 top seasons and folk go after his long range passing game 😂.

03 Jan 2021 22:40:21
Tex and r1 excuse us for having an opinion. laughing if this is your best contribution to thread, u seemed to have missed all last weeks chat.

03 Jan 2021 23:16:48
I don't mind playing out from the back, let's just get it the midfield quicker, we actually pay ourselves into a corner at times, happy with results so far though.

03 Jan 2021 17:32:25
Hi all fellow bears.
Just wanted to share that I don't agree with the unwashed manager from across the city on his version of yesterday's game. saying rangers didn't have 1 shot on target and they were better team and had 65% of the game.
The only stat that counts is this 180mins played, 3 goals scored, zero conceded and 6 point earned not awarded like last season league.

03 Jan 2021 23:05:41
According to BBC Oirland we had 51% possession to their 49%.

03 Jan 2021 17:21:43
When I was at secondary school Colin madam was my pe teacher he played for Patrick thistle at the time the he told us he was leaving the school too sign for the famous I still remember the day he came in too say goodbye he always had a banger of a car but when he came in too say goodbye and sign for the famous he drove into the school in his new Ford Capri 😀.

03 Jan 2021 18:03:20
Worked with his mum Chrissy. She hated old firm games cause of him and Tom.

03 Jan 2021 18:23:10
Yeah Colin used to say his granny had too year them apart as kids fighting.

03 Jan 2021 19:03:06
They nearly had a square go in the celtic penalty box lol.

03 Jan 2021 23:07:46
My mum also worked with Chrissy and you are spot on, crazy brazy 👍🇬🇧.

03 Jan 2021 23:47:41
Aye big spider, is what the Partick fans called him tough as old boots great pic of him running past his brother, god bless big guy.

03 Jan 2021 17:12:51
I drank in a pub with Craig Moore Gaza's Brian Reid McInnis and Charlie Miller who I beat at pool he was arrogant as **** but Gaza and the rest were brilliant Gaza was smoking cigars and couldn't get him off the karaoke.

03 Jan 2021 17:39:19
Best pool player I’ve seen was Goram! The guy was a shark.

03 Jan 2021 19:44:19
Alloa ger all depends on your levels of pool av played him few times and he's honkin 😁.

03 Jan 2021 20:53:58
I used to teach Ronald de Boer's 2 youngest kids to swim, and I lived around the corner from him in Amsterdam. Used to chat at the local park every now and then. He'd come to classes with the older one every Saturday morning. Was an incredibly nice guy and he had a an amazing memory He could talk through highlights of almost every game he played where he scored a goal or provided an assist. He could name every player passed to in the build up and the exact minute of every goal. He said that playing at Rangers was one of the best experiences of his life and that he would never say no to going back there at some point.

03 Jan 2021 23:10:15
De Boer was a class act and never really appreciated by the Rangers support until after he'd gone. One of the best midfielders I've ever seen.

03 Jan 2021 23:49:53
As I'm a past master of the game I will help you, Charlie was only arrogant if you let him, he is from castkemilk, and the labour club in cadtkemilk is not a place to be arrogant, my pal brought him through at Rangers,

03 Jan 2021 16:45:39
Seen super Ally once at the sick children's hospital at Yorkhill. A nurse told me he was coming as I was sitting at my kids bedside. Later i heard nurses giggling and knew who had arrived. Got my boy up and took him along the corridor, as we got to Ally I said "look John (boys name) its Brian Laudrup" The look I got from Ally was priceless.

03 Jan 2021 16:27:09
Guy all I hear is they pummeled us and McGregor was superman but maybe I watched a different game as all I remember was a save from edouard a half save from Griffiths which was offside and the great save from Griffiths that's it guys after break McGregor never had any saves just can't believe there hype - the league cup final was different all together there keeper was inspired for 90 minutes before they got an offside goal FACT.

03 Jan 2021 16:45:35
Agree completely. All shots were from outside the box as well. No goalmouth action whatsoever. They’re just using excuses because it’s setting that they have made a complete mess of winning the title that would set a record never to be repeated. They must be absolutely gutted, I know I would be.

03 Jan 2021 16:46:17
Apparently Celtic never had another shot on target after the 20th minute when McGregor saved from Griffiths.
What story would you rather tell today as a fan - " we pummeled you for 90 minutes" or "we weren't at our best and still came away with 3 points"?

03 Jan 2021 17:13:04
Remember these are the same set of fans that celebrated the league cup final and told us to suck up the Julian offside goal. So they can suck it up and its brilliant to watch.

03 Jan 2021 17:42:00
See when the goal went in I turned to my wife and said that’s absolutely brilliant, I hope that’s the only goal and the one that wins is the game! I’d rather it happened in the 94th minute but hey ho I’ll take it.

03 Jan 2021 18:00:23
The Celtic fans might have just copied and pasted some of the comments from here yesterday - our own fans were apoplectic describing us as woeful, and our players as a waste of a shirt.

If it’s acceptable for our own to use that language I don’t see the problem with the Celtic fans doing the same.

No doubt we were under the cosh for long periods but the only thing that matters is the score at the final whistle.

03 Jan 2021 18:25:21
Mcgregor was excellent first twenty minutes, but in actual fact had little to do the next70.
Last weeks debate re his fitness won’t go away, we are very fortunate to have both him and McLaughlin, I for one would like both to be there next year for champions league.
Mccrorie has stalled at Livingston and could be heading south for six months in hope of getting in euro squad.
Probably between him and McLaughlin for third spot, neither not getting enough minutes.

03 Jan 2021 18:53:58
John25, McGregor was excellent yesterday and i’ve been one of his critics. Although I expect him to have contract extended don’t believe he will be 1st choice next season. He is increasingly poor at dealing with cross balls and his distribution kicking is poor. Also not convinced young McClorie will make the grade with us. If he can’t hold down first team berth at Livvy not sure has a long term future with us.

03 Jan 2021 21:13:24
Agree re mcgregor.
I know I’ve said it before mccrorie is not dropped because of ability.

03 Jan 2021 22:36:42
Let’s not get carried away here. Balogun made a crucial last second block on Edouard to save a goal and Elyanoussi just missed on his volley. Rangers were outplayed, not dominated, for most of the game until Hagi came on and changed the attacking dynamic a little bit. We lacked urgency but thankfully they’re actually are a crap team and struggled to apply a finishing touch. I felt that we were outplayed because we let them not because they’re a better team. I hope we pick up the pace and finish this league off early. I also thought the back line and the goalie were excellent. Borna had some good plays blocking crosses and committing fouls when he needed. Balogun and Goldson put in a shift and McGregor pulled off the saves that were needed. Tav with the pass that unlocked the game.

03 Jan 2021 16:26:08
Hi guys wanted to ask if anyone had a hood or strange encounter with a rangers player/ coach. I'll start, I was flying to Faro one year and recognised a certain super Ally on the same plane. Then I was going back to Faro the next year and not only saw Ally before we took off but also walked by Big Eck.

03 Jan 2021 16:46:41
I sat beside Michael Mols on my stag flight to Amsterdam. All 11 of my companions behaved and I was blown away.

03 Jan 2021 16:50:43
Cooper1872,
I remember bumping into the great Davie Cooper while delivering beer to di maggios restaurant in Hamilton.
He was outside chatting to someone when we pulled up.
It was around 1992 and he must have been at Motherwell as he was with Luc Niholt and Luc was driving a wee Peugeot that was in Motherwell team colours with the Motherwell Crest on it.
I was chuffed to bits but to be honest Coops wasnt too pleased that I asked for autograph.
Must have had a bad day at the bookies. 💙
I was 16 at the time 🤣🤣.

03 Jan 2021 17:48:15
I had 2, one was on a flight to Birmingham where Eck was sitting next to me, he had left rangers at that point and I asked who his best signing was, he said Boyd without a doubt, had everything and could finish with both feet and a great header of the ball. “If only he had a burst of pace “ he said. He laughed when I replied if he had a burst of pace you wouldn’t have signed him from killie for 400k! Best bit was when he told me on European nights he used to drive slowly past Ibrox with the windows down listening to the fans inside the stadium.
Other one was when I was the lounge at Barbados airport 6 yrs ago, was a total gentleman!

03 Jan 2021 18:34:14
Cooper u remind me of being in Villarreal with goram and roberts. We were sat in Spanish end, and this Spanish lad was beating a big drum constantly. Roberts takes the drumstick and launched it into next week.
Que some very unhappy locals, and it’s getting feisty between roberts and the drummer
Subddenly about twenty lads wearing east Belfast rangers supporters club polo shirts joined in.
Fortunately drummer saw errors of his ways.
Roberts says to Belfast boys I’d have managed myself but thanks anyway.

03 Jan 2021 21:18:13
John25 sounds like a great night haha!

03 Jan 2021 21:40:25
We got knocked out that night. Honestly when Belfast boys joined in I was worried I’d be in jail great boys so they were.

04 Jan 2021 00:43:25
Bluebell Andy, I too used to deliver beer, I'd meet a few of the players in hardies bar hamilton, can back you up and say cooper although one of my heroes, was never good at talking, ally mcoist even apologised to me for him.

03 Jan 2021 14:56:16
Hearing lots of moaning from the dark side about how Bobby Madden wrapped his arms around Morelos to get him out the way.

What referee would do that?! Proves he’s a Rangers fan! Trying to stop Morelos reacting!

Well Bobby Madden has put on his Instagram a collage of pictures from all different games with him holding back players during a melee.

Sour grapes? What’s that sayin again. always cheated.

03 Jan 2021 15:08:54
Hes also got his hands on scott brown 30 seconds later, always cheated never defeated. It makes no difference and won't change the result.

03 Jan 2021 15:21:31
Blackthorn, I saw his collage. My opinion is this is actually very good refereeing in terms of dealing with any handbags at dawn.
Ref actually sees the play acting from brown.

03 Jan 2021 15:43:34
There are delusional fans from the dark side saying not a red too. Even funnier is the lot that accept it is a red but that the ref "got it out too quick"

What that even means i'm not sure.

03 Jan 2021 16:01:37
John25,Play acting I call it cheating, you know when your career has hit the skids when your sent on to try and get a fellow pro sent off, brought on for no other reason.

03 Jan 2021 16:07:54
Still don’t know why Fredo got involved?

03 Jan 2021 16:12:47
Funny how there was no biased ref claims when they were winning the last 8 years, now that normal service has resumed and they are getting beat by us all of a sudden every ref and sfa member is a mason. 😭😭👍.

03 Jan 2021 16:13:57
The delusion is hilarious. Always cheated, never defeated!

Neil Lennon has spouted more rubbish since October than the bin men have seen! One week the players have bad attitudes and some don’t want to be there, the next week they are all committed. He reeks of contradiction and always trying to deflect away from the real problems.

It’s C.V.s fault, it’s national teams fault, it’s injuries, it’s fitness, it’s the refs, it’s bad luck, it goes on and on and on!

He was saying before yesterday’s game on Sky about how Rangers have managed C.V. better than most teams in Europe, as though there’s something suspect about it, then at the same time his team are going against the travel restrictions by going to Dubai for a week?

They have had more hand outs from the SPFL than anyone else, getting games moved, getting to replay the postponed matches at THEIR convenience and they are still chasing.

Beautiful Sunday 😂😂😂.

03 Jan 2021 17:01:36
Morelos was involved sticking up for his fellow teammate, Yately.
Great to see the camaraderie in the squad. 👍
Also interesting to see the blinkers are on by some on here regarding Kamara's involvement in the same incident as he raised his hands more times than Morelos? 🤔
Funny how Kamara isn't condemned by the could've / should've brigade.

03 Jan 2021 17:32:03
I may be getting cynical in my old age, but to send your captain on with the intention of getting an opposition player sent off, truly is an act of desperation by Lemon, and whingeing and moaning about referees decisions, - well he never moaned when they won the league cup against all the odds that day with an offside goal did he. The tide is turning and he hasn't got a clue how to deal with it!

03 Jan 2021 17:37:04
Morelos got involved as he can’t resist. He’s a hot head and won’t change.

03 Jan 2021 18:09:49
Yately on this occasion I did not have a problem with Alf getting involved. The tackle was a shocker on Kent.
Aribo, kamara in particular and tav were not slow in getting involved
I remember John brown sayin the team that fight together win together
Actually made me think Alf cared about his teammates.

03 Jan 2021 18:26:38
John25, no problem with Morelos getting involved yesterday, the problem is he does not know how to get himself involved without creating a further incident and getting booked. There is a skill to “getting involved”.

03 Jan 2021 18:48:54
Made me laugh there bankie, I can’t see that a skill Alf would learn any time soon, do u actually see Ajer bottle going when aribo gets in amongst it.

03 Jan 2021 19:04:27
I did John25 and agree Morelos would have difficulty graduating from that particular class. Brown sought to have Morelos sent off. Actually thought Madden handled the situation well.

03 Jan 2021 14:05:00
I think the game yesterday could possibly make the gaffer think about a plan B when teams set up with a high press with 2 up top, to be honest his plan A is normally good enough to dispatch all that have tried to go toe to toe. Tav and BB are a massive part of our attacking play overall and when they get pegged back on defensive duties it does limit our attacking flair. The gaffer maybe told them to sit deeper and thankfully it worked out in the end. SG just oozes class and I for one just want to thank him and all his staff for their continued efforts because they have built a cracking squad and a great team bond. Long may it continue.

03 Jan 2021 14:30:29
mcmillst, you've said "Long may it continue " and i totally agree 100% but unfortunately for us Gerrard may come a wanted man down south. Now there's no doubt he's passionate about Rangers and wants to succeed . Maybe he wants to be closer to his wife and young family, I obviously don't know his family commitments at the mo how often does he actually see his family. That's got to play a huge part.

03 Jan 2021 14:42:02
Stuck I don’t see him managing any other team in England other than liverpool. I think his manegerial ambitions, now that he’s here, are rangers, liverpool, England, retirement. In that order. I don’t think he wilm go abroad and he has stated he never wanted to play against liverpool for any other English team so why would he the. Mange against them. He can Fulfill his ambitions at ibrox until the day he gets the call we all dread.

03 Jan 2021 15:23:58
Ingerr and stuck I think SG may well be linked with clubs but is unlikely to move if successful at rangers.
I believe that he will want a crack at champions league football to build his experience and enhance his profile.
His next club will be Liverpool 2024.

03 Jan 2021 15:24:54
His plan B to counter the high press from Liege at Ibrox was to go 442 at HT and it worked very well, won us the game. 👍.

03 Jan 2021 15:58:08
John25, I hope your right sir but my point is - is his wife happy at him working away from home and missing valuable family time? Family comes first and all that.

03 Jan 2021 16:05:42
Agreed stuck. But would he be better off say London or Newcastle.

03 Jan 2021 16:08:18
Stuck, above everything else Gerard is loyal. He had many opportunities to leave Liverpool but he stayed true until he could not give them enough on the field.

If he is successful with us he will not leave for a British club other than Liverpool until it becomes clear that they don't want him (unlikely if he does well with us) .

I can't see him walking away before defending the league title and having a bash at the CL.

03 Jan 2021 16:24:37
Thing I like about Gerrard? He says we have won nothing yet. 50 odd points to be played for. All the paper scribes have us home and dry.

03 Jan 2021 16:46:13
I think he'll stay for a crack at the champions league. 👍.

03 Jan 2021 16:56:03
He’s here to learn how to cope with the demands of having to win every game. The ins and outs of managing expectations of a big club. Not going to get that at clubs like say derby ie lampard. Say he wins the league and qualifies for cl groups next year then he’s still learning again. And if he somehow manages to get out of that group and win the league again he’s likely a shoe in for the liverpool job when Klopp leaves. If he were to go somewhere else say in the summer or even the following summer, he would be starting a whole new project again with clearly no intention of finishing it as he is obviously eyeing up the pool job in 2024. I think he is perfectly happy and content here and his wife and kids are probably living with what is now the norm to them now. They’re probably up most weekends or him down there after weekend game it’s what? Half an hour on a plane at most? Obviously C.V. had stopped that I suppose.

03 Jan 2021 17:22:14
I like Gerrard's attitude that we have won nothing yet, and his repeated statements that we go one game at a time. He makes the comment yesterday that "the season starts now" and if the squad have that belief, then we won't go far wrong.

03 Jan 2021 17:31:11
Ingerrardwetrust, good post, thanks for your views, I hope your right my man as Gerrard can only get better. The thing I like about Gerrard is that he's very confident and professional when getting interviewed. I have to be honest, I did have a pop at him early doors, maybe that was out of frustration but huge credit to him. The futures bright.

03 Jan 2021 18:32:43
Think key factor is when Kloss decides to leave Liverpool. For example if he leaves in the summer SG could have a decision to make.

03 Jan 2021 20:06:32
We can have a plan B if teams play a high press with 2 forwards, realistically any other team up here won’t play that way against us as the quality they have isn’t good enough just like the manks . We can go long or flood the midfield and play one up top like we do in Europe. These are plan B.
Can you actually see another team trying to play that way against us, given our defence record and the pace we have up front. The manks ran out of steam and last half hour should that. It was a classic rope a dope from us yesterday.
Need 3 points next week that’s all that matters now.

03 Jan 2021 13:07:39
Can't take the smile off my face, but don't you think that we should give our Boardroom a big thank you for the backing that they have given S. G and his backroom staff to get us to the position that we are at. 🍾🥂.

03 Jan 2021 13:51:43
Yes we should and particularly Mr King.

03 Jan 2021 14:30:44
It's taken time and some learning on the job but where we are now is incredible top of the league unbeaten top of Europa league group unbeaten 3 old firm wins on the bounce it's a great time to be a teddy bear 😁 🔴⚪🔵.

03 Jan 2021 12:50:12
If my arithmetic is correct IF we win all our games up to the old firm on 20th March and Celtic loose 2 in that time we could take the title at Parkhead if we win. I know its unlikely but time and points are running out for them. They can max out at 100 so I reckon around 95 wins us the league. Were on 62 atm so 11 wins from the remaining 16 fixtures should get us over the line. Pressure is on them with zero margin of error.

03 Jan 2021 13:10:48
90 wins the league imo.

03 Jan 2021 14:14:48
even better sweep.

03 Jan 2021 16:26:35
Don’t care where we win it as long as we win it still a long way to go and a lot of points up for grabs one game at a time and it’s the sheep up next another 3 points will do nicely.

03 Jan 2021 17:16:22
Totally agree KJA but you got to admit it would be absolutely brilliant.

03 Jan 2021 12:33:57
Thinking we should resign filip sebo on a 6 month contract just for a laugh. be great to watch him lifting the league trophy at the end of the season.

03 Jan 2021 12:52:12
The Londonderry Dazzler makes Rob Kiernan look like beckenbaur.

03 Jan 2021 12:56:54
WHIT NEGRI 🤔.

03 Jan 2021 16:26:56
Strange post.

03 Jan 2021 18:21:02
a wee bit of humour, was expecting no less than a pointless reply to shoot someone down from you KJA9, stick to getting your rumours from newsnow. supported by yer humourless mate SGL, had more names than the thomsons local. one of the reasons i very rarely post on here.

03 Jan 2021 22:37:25
Love it Negri get Sebo back for the party 😂.

03 Jan 2021 11:33:11
Really good 3 points yesterday but brought back such memories.
My dad and brother were both at the old firm game at Ibrox 1971.
They always used stairway 13.

I remember as a kid waiting with my mum to hear from them after the news reports. They had both left before it happened and were totally oblivious to it. My dad had gone for a pint with mates and my brother had got a bus on Paisley Road with my uncle.
Days before mobile phones etc, waiting on news was torture.
Puts football into perspective.
Lost both of them now but l always think of them and all the families that lost loved ones at that awful tragedy.
😪.

03 Jan 2021 12:11:46
remember going to ibrox from the late 60's on jings the crushing during and after the games was frightening to say the least. we used to stand beside the huge pillars up the copeland rd end and hang on to one an other for dear life . on a happier note though i remember being lifte over the turnstiles due to the kindness of the olice and stewards at that time . also remember the small blue cars arked all the way round the track also at the back of the dugout was a space that blind supporters would gather and there was a guy giving commentary for them now i think about it i see how helpful and ind people can be. also remember the the fighting circles when they would break out and then they would be pointed out to the police and ejected from the ground then there were the fans who if anyone got into difficulty the hankies scarves etc would be waved to attract the attention of the ambulance men ahh memories .

03 Jan 2021 12:28:05
The wee guy selling the macaroons.

03 Jan 2021 12:34:40
brian, we used to wear crash helmets in the 70s. When a fight broke out the non fighting fans would chant "Hooli Hooli Hooligans", but the noise at Ibrox was off the scales.

03 Jan 2021 13:05:48
Yes 55,selling the macaroons and the evening times newspaper and the way the guy selling the newspaper used to shout the words 'EVENING TIMES'😂Brings back memories when i was young and going to ibrox with my late dad 🙏I totally relate to your poignant post pacificShelfBunnet👍
My dad, my uncles and their pals always stood on staircase 13 and moved that fateful/ terrible day because it was more congested than usual! They were the lucky ones that day as they all returned home safe and well, sadly the 66 poor souls who perished didn't 😥😞God bless them 🙏🙏Its only 1 of my uncles who's still living from my family members and their pals who attended that game that day 😥God rest their souls 🙏.

03 Jan 2021 13:06:22
Yes 55, and the Pink Lint Rolls, and the 'Spearmint Chewing Gum, those were the days.

03 Jan 2021 13:11:39
remember it well brexit jam also the bottle and can throwing. worst i remember was up the celtic end in hampden scotland v brazil in 73friendly someone threw a pomagne bottle and hit a child infront of us it was his first match dad brought him down from fort william so sad . aye the terraces were dangerous places but the atmospere was amazing.

03 Jan 2021 13:25:37
Briangersfan, you mentioned the wee blue cars and the man selling macaroons and getting lifted over the turnstiles, wow, that's the exact memories I had. Were the blue cars mobility cars? I remember my dad telling me ' do not let go my hand ' I also remember when I was young the strong smell of urine!

03 Jan 2021 13:37:42
Days before mobile phones and 2 hours in an SMT bus with no radio, to get home. First I knew there was a problem was my mothers hand on the back of my head, then a cuddle.

03 Jan 2021 14:20:33
The stuck. You still get the smell of urine but it’s only when the mahnky mob are there.

03 Jan 2021 14:57:00
SGL do you remember the pink Citizen on a Saturday teatime, all the results.

03 Jan 2021 15:20:39
Usually the cans and bottles had been pissed into Brian.

03 Jan 2021 16:11:47
Dont know about that Brexit jam never drank out them! 🤣🤣😉.

03 Jan 2021 16:20:48
Always asking the guy with a radio. what's the half-time scores mate?

03 Jan 2021 16:48:14
Nice Post Brian gersfan. I remember all that and the half time scores going up on the trackside at the Copeland Rd end. We used to start at the Tim's end and if we were shooting into the other end after half time we went round to "see the goals". That's when you ran the gauntlet of getting pissed on from above.

03 Jan 2021 11:17:52
Am much as am confident that we will win the league let's not get too far ahead of ourselfs. Last season at same time we were 1 point ahead am sure and ended up 13 points behind. A know we are a diffrent animal all am pointing out is it's possible to drop so many points in a little space. Please bears keep our gloating till it's in the bag say April. Will be some party when 55 is delivered.

03 Jan 2021 12:03:16
Honestly, I reckon now it is inconceivable that we don't win the title this season so let's allow ourselves at least a little gloating and make the most of things.

03 Jan 2021 12:03:34
100% correct nothing is won yet and have a hard month of fixtures coming up just need to go one game at a time.

03 Jan 2021 12:23:19
Geromino am not saying not gloat at all am just meaning don't go overboard as we have won nothing people saying yesterday the day we won 55 I hate that talk as we have long way to go till 55.

03 Jan 2021 13:08:42
Although i'm very confident we'll win our 55th league title this season, let's keep our powder dry until we hopefully, mathematically clinch it 🤔Then we can party like no tomorrow, if hopefully its safe to do so and this terrible C.V. is under control 🙏🇬🇧.

03 Jan 2021 13:16:59
banx i don't remember the year but we played the dhims at ibrox i think jardine scored a goal but not 100% sure but at the end of the season when we won the title he was interviewed and asked what was the turning point when you thought that you were going to win the league and he said the game at new year . with a huge grin . hopefully tav will say the same at the end of this season.

03 Jan 2021 13:30:16
Celtic 9/ 1 odds against winning the league.

03 Jan 2021 13:42:50
We are looking a bit 'leggy', same as last year and the year b4. But this time we have a lead, which we should surely hang on to.

03 Jan 2021 15:04:00
I wrote beginning December patience. I said 15-15 in December, 10-12 minimum January and we would be very close.
We got 15-15 scored 10 conceded 1 not bad for a team playing rubbish I’d say.
Get by Aberdeen next week will be good.
I agree we r looking leggy, however I see two mb three signings in January, lundstrum is close, also we may b bringing Kelly back from county, depending on roofe and arfield injuries.
I’m told Kelly is about numbers and cover re Davis.
This is the time to bolster squad re further injuries and suspension.

03 Jan 2021 15:55:39
All teams are going be legging including Aberdeen next week. I honestly don't think we have the money to sign anyone else.

03 Jan 2021 16:06:52
Money is there if required for signings IMO.

03 Jan 2021 16:22:26
Bankie it's 9-1 for them to win it mate.

03 Jan 2021 16:30:21
Maybe sign one player 2 at most in jan.

03 Jan 2021 16:37:28
Sweep, I'm certain that if we decide that we need a few more guys to get us over the line we will be able to find a few £m to pay for them - we won't be cheap if there is a chance we could lose the league.

03 Jan 2021 18:40:40
Agree dk. This board want it as much as we do.
I think we really need cover ch if Edmundson allowed to go. Also bit light because injury to Jack and arfield, suppose depends how long they may be out for.

03 Jan 2021 11:12:15
The way things are going we could win 55 at Celtic Park in March. Make it happen #establishment. Would end them forever😭😭👍.

03 Jan 2021 11:39:13
That would be amazing, remember winning the league at parkhead, totally blotto watching the game in my friends house then having to get up at 6am for a lads holiday to kavos.

03 Jan 2021 12:17:03
Another mock huddle as well? 😜.

03 Jan 2021 12:34:19
Yes please 🤣
You cannot beat a mock huddle 🤣🔴⚪🔵.

03 Jan 2021 13:10:04
My youngest Son and me were at Parkhead that day, wee Neil McCann rounding the goalie and scoring the third, great day. If we can't play with a swagger and confidence in every game now, there's something wrong, C'Mon the Gers into everyone of them.

03 Jan 2021 13:55:56
We'll get banned for a year for doing the huddle. Maybe 2 years!

03 Jan 2021 15:05:40
If I’m really honest I don’t care where we win it, just let’s get over line asap.

03 Jan 2021 10:48:39
For those who think Kent wants to leave due to his poor form have no idea about football. Every player loses form no matter how good they are but if he does want out then sell him to highest bidder buy a replacement and move on. Kent will never find a bigger club or a manager who has complete trust as Gerrard does.

03 Jan 2021 12:04:50
I haven’t seen anyone on here say kent wants to leave because of his poor form.

03 Jan 2021 13:15:13
The only one who said ryan kent wants to leave was John25 yesterday which i doubt very much! The guy has only lost form for me simple as that 👍 Because he's not performing the way we all know he can, doesn't mean he wants to leave rangers 🤔He's very happy at ibrox is what i've heard/ been told 👍🇬🇧 That doesn't mean to say if rangers were offered a massive sum of money for him this summer, that they wouldn't contemplate selling him, because money talks, but that's not what's being suggested here! Its being suggested kent wants away and for me that's absolutely not the case 👍🇬🇧.

03 Jan 2021 13:46:02
John say's a lot of things though. 👍.

03 Jan 2021 14:09:13
It's what I've heard too. Turned a new contract down apparently. Getting a free pass just now from too many fans, morelos gets slaughtered for less.

03 Jan 2021 15:01:33
Fredo doesn't get slaughtered for less, fredo gets sent off for petulance, fredo let's the club, team and fans down in doing so. Fredo came back overweight, unfit and uninterested because he never got his move, Gerrard said this. Kent has not behaved like this. So please explain HWG why fredo gets slaughtered for less? And where does it say he rejected a new contract? I can't find that anywhere? 👍.

03 Jan 2021 15:07:54
kJ I’m not saying kent leave because of poor form, it’s to do with his lady finishing uni and taking up a career in England
Not sure re your post coldo I say a lot, elaborate.

03 Jan 2021 15:09:16
Coldo straight back at you, where has Freddy said he wants to leave.

03 Jan 2021 15:31:55
Ross Wilson said that there was an agreement in place with fredo and his representatives to sell fredo if the club received a suitable bid, when the bid was rejected fredo and his representatives weren't happy because they thought it was acceptable and fredo wanted the move. This was the reason why fredo had his head turned John👍.

03 Jan 2021 15:46:16
And if that's the best you have john to comeback with 'where has fredo said', then you are clutching at straws. Its been well documented and fredo himself has said that his desire is to go on to a higher level. No one has a problem with that. He is entitled to better himself. The problem people have is the way he flung the toys out because the club rejected the bid. It was disrespectful to the team, the club and the fans. 👍.

03 Jan 2021 16:10:47
So Fred do want to go to a higher level, it’s your opinion coldo, manager says he has not flung toys out off prom.
Says he is lighter fitter and covering more miles in training and on pitch.
We all know he will be gone soon, and many will be happy.
Myself included as we should make a massive profit which hopefully helps club progress.

03 Jan 2021 16:12:27
Coldo, can you explain why Kent has lost his vavavoom recently and whilst not playing badly is certainly is not the guy who will make a difference?

You cannot surely ignore that he is not the same player as he was at the start of the season?

Could it be because the club told him he would not be sold in the summer when Leeds were supposedly interested?

03 Jan 2021 16:32:07
No its not my opinion John, fredo said he wants to play at a higher level. He is fitter now John but he wasn't at the start of the season or a good bit into it. Gerrard said he wanted him sharper and fitter as he was a yard off it, I think that was about a month into the season. Gerrard said his head was turned. He had to buck up John. That's not my opinion John, fredo and Gerrard said these things. 👍.

03 Jan 2021 16:35:55
If the club told him in the summer he wouldn't be sold in the summer then why would he start the season in blistering form and then wait until now to have a blip? Doesn't make sense DK, you've actually wrote that in your post🤦‍♂️. Kent isn't showing the same form but it will be down to fatigue and a hard season so far. It will be nothing to do with wanting away👍.

03 Jan 2021 17:12:27
Correct John25. Kent wants away and his performances since the Leeds bid was rejected has confirmed this.
And he's underperformed because of a hard season, Coldo? What a load of nonsense.
Kent has already had a month of due to international breaks.
The hard season hasn't affected the performance of Kamara, Arfield, Barisic or Davis who have played International football as well.
Tav, Goldson are in the same boat as Kent and aren't having a dip in form?

03 Jan 2021 10:38:24
It's no coincidence that we have not been at our best since the St Mirren game.

Opposition have finally realised that Tav and Borna are our out all and most potent attacking players and have set up to nullify them both.

We couldn't play out from the back yesterday because Celtic swarmed all over our defenders and midfield meaning that McGregor punted poor long balls over and over again.

Second half we created more freedom, played to Alfie's strengths and got Tav more involved.

I guess that every team we play will adopt the same tactics until we can prove that it doesn't work.

03 Jan 2021 10:20:04
Hands up if you can't wipe the smile of your face this morning😁👐😁.

03 Jan 2021 16:45:12
🙋‍♂️🙋‍♂️.

03 Jan 2021 09:41:21
Although yesterday certainly wasn’t our finest performance of the season what it did prove is this squad has what it takes to win the league and those so called pundits that have called into question out mentality, I wonder where they are just now.

03 Jan 2021 09:35:07
Morning guys I think we need to be signing the best young talent in Scotland and I know some fans think they ain’t good enough because they play for this team and that team.

But IMO we have missed out on one that is David turnball think he is going to be a great player.
I also think in the summer we should be signing lewis ferguson what's your thoughts guys as I know we have been split about him.

Ps it’s not because who his dad and uncle are the reason I want him.

03 Jan 2021 12:10:30
KJA9 I’m still not convinced by him still think he would be a fringe player
Maybe I’m wrong
I like the idea of getting young talent in it’s whether they get a game or not
So for that purpose I’m not sure then again he might get a move down south and be great
I’m on the fence 😂😂.

03 Jan 2021 13:57:58
Not convinced about Lewis. He's certainly not the players his dad or uncle were.

03 Jan 2021 09:07:05
As we all correctly passed on all our condolences yesterday too absent friends,
in what was the 50th anniversary of the 66 pour souls who so tragically lost their lives,
in the ibrox disaster on the 2nd of january 1971,it got me thinking about my own late dad who was at the game and was one of the lucky ones who did return home 🙏I lost my dad coming up on 10 years ago now and it would have been his 84th birthday today 😥😞I miss him so much and it was he who took me as a youngster and introduced me into supporting glasgow rangers and following in his footsteps 👍🇬🇧As you're looking down dad, you will still see i'm still following our beloved rangers to this day 👍
I miss you more than words can say dear dad,
so god bless 🙏 until we meet again 🙏
I love you dad ❤️ and i raise my glass 🥃 to my late dad and all absent friends, god bless you all 🙏.

Great post SGL, straight from the heart, God Bless all of our fellow fans no longer with us, in what is the most momentous season we've had in a long time.

03 Jan 2021 09:38:15
Great post SGL.
I lost my dad 20 years ago and it isn't a club you chose to support - I was born a Rangers fan and have some great memories of my dad taking me to games on the local supporters bus.

03 Jan 2021 10:12:51
Nice post Coops. Straight from the heart. I lost my dad about 6 years ago and my dear mum way back in 1993. Still hurts like hell. God bless absent friends 💙.

03 Jan 2021 10:27:32
Well said, I lost my dad 8 years ago and miss him everyday.

03 Jan 2021 10:32:11
Here here sgl god bless you and your family and absent friends.

03 Jan 2021 10:35:31
With all due respect there are some things that should be kept away from social media. I miss my lost loved ones but would never post anything like that on here or anywhere else. Strikes me as attention seeking and raising a glass at 9:00 on the morning of the 3rd can’t be good for anyone. I’m sure the bells would have been sufficient mate.

03 Jan 2021 10:57:09
SGL - I could have posted the exact same post my friend. The only thing I won’t be doing is raising a glass 🥃 because it’s too early to get back on it again for me!

But cheers to you, absent friends and a better New Year!

03 Jan 2021 11:10:10
May God bless his soul, and the others. family and friends also. Also my late brother who I lost at the young age of 35 just over 1 year ago. A rangers fan himself, i'm sure the are looking down guiding us too the famous 55 keep the faith troops and all the best for 2021.

03 Jan 2021 12:12:19
My dad was at the game aswell sgl and got home safe, I also lost my dad 10yrs ago who would have been 84 in June, I lost my brother 3 years ago 58,lost my mum last year 85.
I never ever told my dad I loved him we never spoke for 15yrs and it done my head in when he died suddenly.
So my advice is, if you love someone "Tell Them", and to everyone that's lost a Loved one my ♥ goes out to yous all. We Will Meet Again.

03 Jan 2021 13:16:32
I was at that game and left just after Celtic scored, we were just outside the stadium when the massive roar went up for our equaliser, utter bedlam, than God for seated stadiums nowadays.

03 Jan 2021 08:46:44
22 games played 20 win and 2 draws, has this start to the season ever happened after 22 games, celtic fans saying with the correct manager they would be miles ahead. How can you be miles ahead of a team that's only dropped 4 points?

03 Jan 2021 09:10:04
Sweep1, that lot are deluded/ obsessed baffoons mate 🤔
If they tell themselves that often enough they'll believe it 😂😂They can't handle the power change my friend 👌 Well they better start getting used to it 👍🇬🇧.

03 Jan 2021 09:58:46
We won yest but shocking display from our team and if nxt 3 games are Dons M well n Hibs then il be very very surprised if we take full points on recent displays just my opinion so not want to get carried away.

03 Jan 2021 10:20:02
I see timolly's rangers bears pals have suddenly disappeared off the celtic pages. It seems to be one way banter.

03 Jan 2021 08:25:21
Sorry guys in my post I forgot to say, " whatever happened to being humble in victory and gracious in defeat ".

03 Jan 2021 08:44:19
Not in their vocabulary, Ian. Since when have tbey been either tbh?

03 Jan 2021 09:10:27
Always cheated, Never defeated is the Tim mantra.
Lennon said he was a poor referee. Well he got that right. Took forever to book Soro after numerous fouls and should have sent off the Derry Donkey for his hatchet job on Kent.
Plus factor in we've reduced Brown ( who used to be the beating heart of the Celtic side ) to a bit part player who's only role now is to wind up opposition players to try and get them sent off. Culminating in him Brown simulating getting hit in the face to get Morelos sent off. Embarrassing from the so called hard man of Scottish football.

03 Jan 2021 10:00:32
I also think we would have got a draw if soro never got sent aff and i wouldve took a draw b4 the game.

03 Jan 2021 14:53:39
Soro never got sent
Off dsgers it was bitton Soro got subbed for brown mate.

03 Jan 2021 08:21:24
Good morning bears, " oh what a night " . Celtic we're undoubtedly the better team in the first half, not so much the second. Lennons interview after the match was a disgrace, it portrayed him for what he is, lacking respect and lacking class. The mans a shyster.

03 Jan 2021 09:12:00
Let Lennon enjoy his "best team in the first half trophy".
I'm quite happy for the 3 points for turning them over when we played bad.

03 Jan 2021 07:39:42
Sour grapes for Lennon to say that that was never a red card for Bitton's rugby tackle on Morelos. Really? Grow up Lennon, it was a red card all day long. He would have had a clear run into the penalty box. I thought Celtic were clearly the better team in the first half but we improved in the second half and though far from our best, were still good enough to beat them. McGregor was fantastic as was Davis and when Hagi came on he showed his class too. Kent needs to be dropped and I hope Arfield and Jack are back soon. Great result in the end. #55.

03 Jan 2021 08:09:15
Haji should never have been dropped to the bench after his last 3 performances, on merit kent should've been on the bench and only played on previous performances against celtic.

03 Jan 2021 08:18:34
I was expecting that from the Lurgan Flopp to be honest the guys got no class,

03 Jan 2021 08:45:38
Hagi was excellent when he came on and made a big difference imo.

03 Jan 2021 09:20:40
We improved but we still didn’t trouble there keeper really we weren’t much better in the 2nd half but all that matters was the 3 points and we got that.

03 Jan 2021 09:40:39
They didn't trouble us much either.
Apparently they didn't have another shot on target after the 21 minute when McGregor saved from Griffiths?

03 Jan 2021 10:15:50
I tea a tough one but I can see why Hagi didn’t start, Roofe offers a bit more defensively than Hagi when out of possession . Once they were down to 10 men and took a striker off their attacking play was thwarted, which was better for Hagi. It looked liked the tactics were to give up possession initially, which is why I think he went with roofe. I could be wrong.

03 Jan 2021 11:38:55
Alloa roofe went of injured.

03 Jan 2021 15:28:36
Doiger nothing up with a manager saying never a red card.
Let me take u back to SG Morelos via Dundee Utd.

Review Of The Day 3rd January 2021

03 Jan 2021 07:39:16
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 3rd January 2021

03 Jan 2021 07:24:21
Been reading comments about Ryan kent wanting away is the reason for poor form, I honestly think he better get his form back 1st because nobody in the epl would touch him just now. For me he needs to start getting back to the simple things on the park 1st, he sometimes can't pass the ball 5 yards to another Rangers player.

03 Jan 2021 07:53:16
Tough games but we now have 3 midweeks in a row we don't need to play.

03 Jan 2021 08:47:14
To be fair I did see flashes of the old Kent yesterday. Didn't think he was anywhere near the worst in what was the poorest first half from us all season.

03 Jan 2021 09:15:06
We will kick on from yesterday, our next 3 games will be won, we have a different mentality this season. I want Itten and Roofe to lead the line next Sunday, and Hagi to start, other than that same players. Some fans are judging some of our players, Zungu eg, without them having had the proper game time, we have a decent squad, and I trust the Manager and Ross Wilsons views on players before others.

03 Jan 2021 09:16:20
Agreed Seeker.
Kent actually beat a couple of men on the outside yesterday for the first time in ages.
Though his final ball / short passing was terrible at times.
But as you said the full team were terrible first half ( except McGregor ) .
But I think we all forget the Tims needed to win and had to come at us.
The main thing is they played really well at times and still got beat by an underpar Rangers side!

03 Jan 2021 09:21:53
Seeker he gave the ball away the most in that 1st half he was by far our worst player but I know he is a good player and hopefully will get his form back.

03 Jan 2021 10:12:45
We missed jack and arfield badly, as they're made to play in old firm games with their physicality and their bite 👌Aribo was never in the game yesterday and way too easily brushed aside and struggled with the physical side against their midfield! That wouldn't have happened if jacko and arfield were playing 👍🇬🇧.

03 Jan 2021 10:20:50
Kent definitely has the talent. If he kicks into life again we will skate the second half of the season. Undecided about Alfie. On reflection it was a difficult game to play in with no service. One thing I will say is he gives any defence a tough time. Again, if he hits form again it will be a belter of a second half of the season.

03 Jan 2021 10:43:40
Need to be careful next 2 games. Aberdeen only know 1 way to beat Rangers and that is to kick them off the park, do we have players who can handle that? AND stay on the park.

03 Jan 2021 07:21:38
After the delight of yesterday attention turns to Aberdeen away. Historically a tough fixture.
Then it’s Motherwell and Hibs away all before February. Potentially the biggest month ever for Rangers! I hope the club and squad remain focused and pick up the points on offer. Get through January with a 15/ 16 point lead I’ll feel a lot more comfortable.

03 Jan 2021 08:49:27
Absolutely, it's an old cliche but every game is 3 points and the very ordinary teams you have mentioned will no doubt raise their game as they normally do against us.

03 Jan 2021 09:16:59
Agree seeker, it's up to us to be the pressing team in all of these fixtures, and not give them the opportunity to cause damage.

03 Jan 2021 09:18:02
We've got through the tough Xmas period with maximum points and got 2021 of to a flyer yesterday.
It's all about consistency now with the title in our own hands.

03 Jan 2021 09:24:30
They are well and truly under pressure to win every game now, I think we can increase the lead, starting with the 🐑 🐑.
Things can only get better.

03 Jan 2021 02:32:25
A don't think we need anyone new in apart from the last few games we have played unbelievable. this is a winning team and will find there feet again every time has a run or not so good form and luckily we are still winning. after the last 3 old firm where we dominated from start to finish a did think Celtic would be the better team today its law of averages at times. but we still got the 3 points fantastic.

03 Jan 2021 08:02:35
Totally agree Ryan. We still beat Dundee Utd, St. Johnstone, Hibs and St. Mirren while apparently playing not so well, conceding only 2 goals. In the last 2 seasons we would have dropped points in these games. A magnificent effort to be unbeaten after 22 league games.

03 Jan 2021 09:16:03
I think we should sign one or two, a midfielder as we have picked up couple of injuries and another wide man . Our wide players are at times inconsistent as wingers can be, Kent of the boil just now, Barker and Stewart not great and Jones let’s say not going to play again. It will show real intent in the January window and the Marks won’t spend as they won’t give Lennon any dosh. Just think of it they will have a fire sale as they call it as some of their so called stars want away and we would be strengthening our title push.
What you think?

03 Jan 2021 09:23:01
You always need to better your squad every top club does it and we should be the same.

02 Jan 2021 23:30:03
Do you think there will be any new signings in this transfer window? Personally I don't think we need to sign anyone at the moment.

Wonder who we will be linked with though:

*Will Robbie Fowler finally sign
*Will James Morrison sign
*Will we sign Jardel
😁😁😁.

03 Jan 2021 07:52:55
We need players in and players out to freshen the squad up think that's what we've done wrong in previous years.

03 Jan 2021 11:06:59
Ffs Jardel was the one that got away! Was it the tic keeping hold of rudi vata and thus taking up a work permit that scunnered the move for big Jardel?

02 Jan 2021 23:12:34
Glasgow Rangers back on our feet again, YouTube, some great stuff, and reminders of Alf at his best amongst other great footage. ENJOY.

02 Jan 2021 22:54:34
Love all the conspiravy theorists oit about Madden holding Morelos back to stop him getting involved further and risking red

It reeks of favourtism and shows that Madden is a blue nose. How can he get away wi it? Its shocking. Nowhere else would that happen

Sorry Mhanks but do you mean the same Bobby Madden that held back Griffiths in the exact same way a couple year back?

Lets not let facts get in the way of a good conspiracy

Look your team played the best the could today against a side that can't play any worse and still couldn't get a point. Soak it in and accept your rotten

As for the red card? Anyone that can't see that's a red is a moron. Gola scoring opportunity is a clear shot on goal add in he woulda been in box due to the pace of the pass. Big easter island head was never getting back to cover.

02 Jan 2021 22:37:38
Got to hand it to the 5 million man big Vasillas Bawrash. Rangers never had a shot on target but he still let one in. That club has turned into a circus. The banner years continue 🇬🇧🏆🇬🇧.

03 Jan 2021 07:41:44
Big bawrash is rubbish and when you even try and contemplate comparing him to greegs, its hilarious 😂😂
Put it this way, if big bawrash was the rangers keeper in yesterday's old firm game, the game would have been done by half time 🙏Greegs still got it big time at 38 and still our no.1👌 For the some who wanted/ thought mclauglin should be in instead of greegs and replace him as no.1 think again and look at yesterday alone 👀No sleight on jon mclauglin intended here fellow bears
whatsoever, as he's a really good keeper 👍🇬🇧.

03 Jan 2021 09:13:43
Absolutely brilliant mate 👏🏻👏🏻.

03 Jan 2021 10:24:00
To be fair thw keeper couldn't have kept that out, however what I have seen from hom so far has not impressed me. £5m quid? Steal of the century - for the team that sold him.

02 Jan 2021 22:33:57
I am sorry but is it not Karma what goes around comes around, we play them off the park and they win the L, Cup they play there best and Mc Gregor wins the game for and we are the Champions 55 giuy.

03 Jan 2021 08:52:08
Spot on guys 👍🇬🇧.
