Another plus in the Borna v Tierney debate is Borna plays for Croatia who are slightly better than Scotland. I do think Tierney is tougher and younger but Borna is 20 mil minimum all day long.

What do you think of Tav getting a Scotland call up?
I know a lot would be against it but I certainly believe he deserves it and Scotland would definitely benefit if he would paly, thoughts please?

1.) 08 Nov 2020 05:31:24
He’s not Scottish and has no family history of being Scottish therefore he can not play for Scotland.

I wish him all the best with his own country though.

2.) 08 Nov 2020 06:03:27
After playing for rangers or any Scottish team I'm sure he can play internation for Scotland. I'm sure they wanted big amo and wee nacho to switch allegiance but they were never picked.

3.) 08 Nov 2020 06:06:03
He would need scottish citizenship to play. It was the same for Andrew driver, big amo and wee nacho. I'm sure there was a switch up at beginning of century.

4.) 08 Nov 2020 07:16:35
Was there not some daft rule if you played for 5 yrs I think you could be eligible. I'm not a fan of that rule and Scotland should never have Englishmen in our national team no matter how good they are at any sport not just football.

5.) 08 Nov 2020 08:21:18
Think he qualifies after 5years playing in Scotland so decision to be made soonish.

Don’t agree with the rule but it is what it is so we should take advantage - he’s better than any other option.

6.) 08 Nov 2020 09:27:00
Have you seen that indoor bowler, think his names Richard corrie, captain of England and when he opens his gub he is as Scottish as porridge oats, weird.
Meant to put corsie above. predictive sex.

7.) 08 Nov 2020 10:43:37
Predictive sex? 😂 You sound like my girlfriend! 😐😂😂.

8.) 08 Nov 2020 11:22:48
Tav should definitely be asked if he would like to represent Scotland. Why not? We’ve had Andy goram Stuart McCall don hutchison the big guy Elliot fae Leicester Dominic Matteo there’s probably plenty more. Tavs the beast right back in the country one of the best in the europa league and so Scotland would be insane not to ask him. Russia’s one of the biggest country’s in the world and they had a Brazilian born and bred playing right back for them at the last World Cup. Portugal had deco, a Brazilian. Italy have done it with players I’m just struggling atm. In fact Jorginho not Brazilian? France and Holland have a long history of doing it with there African players. The worlds top country’s have done it for years. Why can’t one of the smallest nations do it? It’s a no brainier for me. Anybody against it is stuck in the dark ages. You take any advantage u can get, within the rules, to get an ahead in sport. I say call him up.

9.) 08 Nov 2020 11:36:04
Thry would have to change the rules as there's a 5 way agreement between the nations that it can't happen without the agreement as he wasnt educated in scotland and has no family. Atm it's not an option legally and he's not eligible for scotland lads.

I have to take my hat off to captain Tav, I really think he is relishing the fact that he is not getting constantly criticized and has the conference to focus on his game.
In all reality he could play 500 games and score 100 goals from right back, that would be truly amazing.

Aye the big man's been magic this season and long may it continue because he's getting better and better each game.
What an engine and his delivery has been more consistent and better defensively along with the fact he never misses a game
Well done captain hope to see you lift some trophies this season.

2.) 06 Oct 2020 07:55:09
I have to say I have not posted for a long while main reason was too many of our players getting slaughtered and the negativity on this site and many others was un bareable. J am loving some of the comments this season though and backing our captain is a nice change to see .

3.) 06 Oct 2020 10:28:40
Same here James S.

But it's been great to see the backtracking on some of the comments on here from afar.

Curious to get your thoughts on the following.
On the Football Show, they all stated that they think Gerrard will be away if we don't win the league?
I personally disagree, let's be honest, winning the league is a big ask and SG is certainly taking us in the right direction and I believe he will deliver us trophies and the league title in time.
Long story short, I would not want him gone if we don't win the title this season.

Tex321

1.) 01 Aug 2020 05:57:51
Have to disagree. Remember, his main goal is to manage Liverpool. If he wins nothing for 3 season's in a row, then I think he'll walk.

2.) 01 Aug 2020 06:45:22
Tex I admire your loyalty but I would be of the opinion no title no job for Gerrard.

3.) 01 Aug 2020 06:50:37
I honestly don't think gerrard will leave or be sacked IF rangers don't win the league, but they'll win the league anyway! If gerrard by god's law won nothing, i personally think he'd walk away himself, that's the mark of the man! But it won't happen as i truly think he'll win the league 👍🙏.

4.) 01 Aug 2020 07:46:17
He should walk if we don't win the league. 👍.

5.) 01 Aug 2020 07:56:18
It depends on how we perform as a team, if he ever has a plan B when plan A doesn’t work, can he win a trophy at least.
If we lose the league it depends on how many points, if we run them closer and not blow up after Xmas again.
Many factors come into it for me.

I honestly don’t know if he keeps his job if we don’t win the league.

We need a few good signings this season.

6.) 01 Aug 2020 07:57:05
Unfortunately, the size and stature of the club demands almost instant success. Personally, I think Stevie will be a top manager. He has all the attributes and nobody can deny how much the squad has improved since the dark days of Pedro. And let's not forget, Pedro was given big money to spend.

Klopp at Liverpool took 5 years to land the title but Steven will not get that up here. I think he will be off unless we run them really close this season. Like you, I'd like to see him stay, even if we don't lift the title. I think his record in Europe and his draw in attracting better players is the key to future success. I hope and pray it is this season but it may not be.

7.) 01 Aug 2020 08:26:59
If he we lose the league by a point or two and we one or both the cups the he might keep his job. If we are 10 points behind and no trophy he loses his job.

No Rangers manager gets more than 3 seasons without winning anything. SG knows this.

8.) 01 Aug 2020 08:27:28
He must win the league in my opinion. No ifs, buts or maybes. Bring it home 🇬🇧🏆🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿.

9.) 01 Aug 2020 08:46:38
I agree Tex, of course we’d all love the league, but say it doesn’t happen but that we won a cup, another good run in Europe and only just missed out on the league by a few points.

Would getting rid of Gerrard and basically starting again from scratch help? Of course not. I know some of our fans already wouldn’t mind him gone for some reason? But surely everyone can see the progress we have made not just as a team but as a club overall since he came here.

We are so much more professional now on and off the pitch. I truly believe a number of the players we’ve brought in wouldn’t of come if he hadn’t been our manager (a lot of almost said as much) Even a number of the sponsorship deals were probably influenced by him being here.

10.) 01 Aug 2020 09:03:38
When gerrard took over we were a million miles away now we’re challenging we’re pulling away from rest which before he took over we were struggling to get second. he's getting there even Klopp took a few years before they started winning stuff at Liverpool.

11.) 01 Aug 2020 09:23:58
KJA9

I’m with What you said -

If it blew up after Xmas for a 3rd year running oooft wouldn’t be good
And that’s if we are doing as well as we hope we’re going to do

If we were only 3 points off them without winning the league I’d say give him another season
Anything more than 6 points adrift he would have to seriously consider his future
And hopefully we have at least a trophy on the bag too

But as SGL said hopefully it’s our year

If Zunga signs for 3.5 million
We have paid for hagi
The 7m on Kent last season
And if we bring in another hopefully top striker

Along with all other transfers he bought in since he’s been here

No one can say the board hasn’t backed him to win the league

Hopefully this is the season we do it though and shut that mob up once and for all.

12.) 01 Aug 2020 09:48:10
we havnt even kicked a ball yet and discussing the managers job.

13.) 01 Aug 2020 10:32:49
Wouldn't watch it, everyone on it is a nonsense peddler.

Sweep, I think your comment is a disgrace, hoping people fail.
What they did was wrong but we got to be smart about things.
Support mate, don't hate.

I have to disagree, Katic will be back soon, so how can you justify or keep them all happy, 4 is more than enough, not to mention the quality young guys we have.

LMAO. Imagine talking about McGregor's passing the day after a performance like that on his 400th game for the club.
And I thought I was hard to please. lol.

I'm with Bankie, let's focus on the sheep.
Also Hibs away in Jan, if we win every game in Jan then I will be a happy man and a bit more relaxed.

Guy's you're getting bent out of shape for nothing, Fredo is just having a wee dip combined with a change in style, while improving his all round game to the benefit of the team.
We are looking excellent and starting to see the benefit of a more settled mature squad, people need time.

The very few who are perceived to be off the boil are Fredo as above, Hagi, who is still performing and the numbers don't lie, although there is a lot more to come from him but he is a kid and still settling in to a new country at a massive club. Barker is also a young guy who is doing a job when needed, sacrificing the glamour for the work rate and carrying out the managers plans. Still a lot more to come from Roofe, Itten and Zunga and the team in general but times are good and the future is Bright Blue and who knows who we might add in Jan.
