Very sad to see the passing of Maradona. An iconic player that put the English team to the sword with one of the best goals ever and the hand of God which although a bit naughty at 5 foot nothing he deserves it for out jumping Peter Shilton LOL. IMO The only players to reach his level in my time are the real Ronaldo and Messi, could you imagine that as an attacking front 3.

26 Nov 2020 07:56:31
Agree TJBB. Perhaps I'm a bit older but Pele and the great George Best were up there with Maradona. Imagine the game of keepie-up in the blue beyond between Best and Maradona! The only other player I can think of would come close to those three is Cruyff. Can't stop watching Maradona's second goal against England after the Hand of God.

25 Nov 2020 21:17:00
Passing of a legend.
In my eyes Maradona was the greatest of all time.
Sad news.
Regardless of allegiances and any demons he faced. He was a footballing genius.

25 Nov 2020 20:59:38
Tommy Sheridan, what an absolute eejit.
“Were up against a new club, who just so happens to have had their best start in 53 years. ”
The guy should really think before he spouts verbal diarrhoea!

25 Nov 2020 21:07:46
he should listen to buuzbomb10 on the tic site he will keep him up to date on the delusional statistics, the pair of them are bampots.

25 Nov 2020 21:38:12
Bathbomb is an absolute disgrace. Genuinely believes his own nonsense. cracks me up.

25 Nov 2020 22:44:14
Sheridan? As my auld granny used to say "there's a waant aboot that yin! " Absolute balloon. Waste of space and air.

26 Nov 2020 06:51:06
Total whalloper!

26 Nov 2020 09:22:52
He's a wrong un! There's something off with Sheridan, he's just wrong.
Do Celtic fans buy into this clown?
Sheridan and his wife used to shop in a store I worked in when I was a student and they would swan about as if they were royalty (didn't help that some of the staff would kiss their backsides when they came in) . Anyway, there were loads of stories flying about when they came in regarding their promiscuous lifestyle long before he was plastered all over the papers, and they just gave off a vibe that wasn't normal.
The guy is a sociopath who craves the limelight, but he's not very bright.

26 Nov 2020 09:56:35
You wouldn't want to check his hard drive 😳🤮.

26 Nov 2020 15:02:42
Seeker, and to think he is an ex mp in our wee country, phew. lol.

26 Nov 2020 18:05:32
Doesn't bear thinking about charlie 😂👍🇬🇧.

25 Nov 2020 20:24:18
Can you please do what i think will be a very close interesting poll for me ED, if you don't mind mate? I was asked this question by my cousin who's actually a leeds utd supporter about an hour ago. If both these strikers were in their mid 20's and playing at their peak/ best and we could only sign one, which striker would you want rangers to sign, between these 2 fantastic strikers/ goalscorers 🤔 ally mccoist or jermain defoe 🤔 Could you do that poll for me ED? Cheers and as always very much appreciated mate 👍.

{Ed033's Note -

McCoist Defoe poll

25 Nov 2020 21:00:47
Coops, what about the legend Marco Negri. Thought you did a creditable job earlier promoting his case.

25 Nov 2020 21:02:23
Jeezo coops, that's a tough one. I'll vote, but not comment on who just yet.

Good head scratcher!

25 Nov 2020 21:10:12
christ almighty sgl you are getting as bad as buzzbomb, have you nothing better to do with your time.

25 Nov 2020 21:26:45
Coisty all day long for me I'm afraid.
Good poll though SGL 👍.

25 Nov 2020 21:36:06
Super ally every day of the week and twice in a Sunday.

25 Nov 2020 21:43:38
I never once stated marco negri was a legend bankie,

25 Nov 2020 21:47:43
Nothing better to do with my time,
when i'm commenting on a glasgow rangers legend, on a rangers site? 🤔🤔Have a word with yourself truebluesotrue! With a stupid statement like that when it's after all a rangers site, i think it's you who's WORSE than that galloot buzzbomb 🤔.

25 Nov 2020 22:08:33
Not worth a poll I’m afraid SGL, anyone that doesn’t pick super Ally Mccoist either wasn’t around in the 90s or has a very short memory. I love Defoe he’s a great player and a top man but McCoist is a legend and my personal favourite ever Rangers player with 355 goals our top ever scorer and all round legend.

25 Nov 2020 22:33:22
Coops, Negri considers himself a club legend. Referring to your post earlier where you argued he was a better natural finisher than McCoist, hence surprised you’ve omitted from your poll.

25 Nov 2020 23:18:50
Wow head cracker but Coisty all day long.

25 Nov 2020 23:27:22
Negri was a fantastic striker.

Ally mccoist all day long he’s a club legend and celebrated every Goal he scored for us growing up can’t not vote for him 😎.

26 Nov 2020 06:33:22
SGL correct you didn't say Negri is a legend but I think you did say barring injury and if he was there as long as Ally he would have outscored him. Or maybe I am wrong and didn't read your post properly.

26 Nov 2020 07:52:11
Bankie, if negri thinks/ calls himself a club legend then that's up to him,
but don't tell lies by stating i said he was a club legend and that i said he was the best goalscorer in our history! Ally mccoist is without a doubt the greatest goalscorer in our history. He's one of my idols and gave me many a great night out with all his old firm winning goals and cup final winning goals 👌A total rangers icon he was/ still is in my eyes 👍I also happen to have my brick on the ally mccoist panel, at the copland road stand where i've sat for close on 45 years now, man and boy!

26 Nov 2020 09:34:56
It's Super Ally for me all the way.

26 Nov 2020 09:59:49
It's Super Ally for me just because he's Super Ally!
But Defoe is a model pro who would have ripped up the SPFL considering he's still doing it at 38.
I'd have loved to have seen Defoe the damage he would have done in a Rangers shirt when 10 years younger. 👍.

25 Nov 2020 20:16:33
As we were talking about the one and only ally mccoist earlier, it got me thinking over the years as well as being our greatest ever legendary striker, he was also a very witty/ funny guy, who was media friendly and could talk and conduct himself very well 👍
I'm sure we all have terrific memories of ally's funny/ quirky patter and was very quick off the cuff 👌One of my many favourite stories of mccoist, as i'm sure a lot of you will know, was when he signed for kilmarnock and his ex rangers teammate bobby williamson was his manager. As we all know ally was always running late for training etc
As the story goes on ally's 2nd day with killie he was running late for training and williamson knowing what coisty was like was waiting on him. When ally eventually arrived,
williamson said to ally that it was a killie policy that any player turning up late for training, had to put a tenner in the charity box at the door. Ally said fine and put his tenner in the box. The next day ally was running even later for training and as williamson was starting to walk further away he seen ally coming in the distance. Ally shouted sorry boss, and i'll put my 20quid in the charity box. Williamson shouted no it's only a tenner and ally shouted aye boss but that covers the morra 😂😂 Absolutely superb and no wonder williamson shook his head and buckled with laughter 😂 Coisty was a class act in every way 👌.

25 Nov 2020 20:35:49
Coops, nice post. Ally was and continues to be a natural.

25 Nov 2020 21:08:47
I really feel so unhappy and all that happened to ally mccoist as rangers manager. I was sure and so wanted him to be a complete success,
just like he was as a player for us 👌. It was the right job at the wrong time for ally, but his loyalty to our club and what he did and had to put up with, will never be forgotten!
He gave me many a great celebration night out, with all his many winning goals against celtic and in finals to win us trophies etc👍I'll always be grateful we had super ally!

25 Nov 2020 21:48:39
Ally didn't stand a chance with the state we were in with all the rats in our club. Walter and sir alex would not have done any better under those circumstances. Ally deserves a medal for keeping our club and fans together when no one else wanted to know. 👍.

25 Nov 2020 22:47:14
Im 39 years old so grew up idolising Ally McCoist great post SGL my all time favourite player and a great personality.

25 Nov 2020 22:47:46
A naturally funny guy. Just as you said, coops, right job, wrong time. Did Walter not advise him to turn down the job?

25 Nov 2020 23:22:00
His comeback against Hibs from injury that goal after coming on as a sub only Ally could have pulled off.

26 Nov 2020 06:07:37
Not so sure tbh cold. Look at the dross he signed and mental wages. We still had 2nd highest wage bill in country in 3rd division. Kyle, black etc.

26 Nov 2020 09:41:44
Ally would never turn the job down at Rangers, the club is part of his DNA. Never forget that it was down to him that titles weren't stripped when Charles Green was ready to accept that demand. Ally was the one who stood firm in it. In my opinion, we will never know exactly what the toll on Ally's physical and mental health was while Rangers manager. One thing that cannot be denied is that he is 100% Rangers and always will be. He will always be a Rangers legend in my eyes, regardless of how his tenure as manager worked out.

26 Nov 2020 15:08:00
I was there at breeze block boulevard in the cup final against hibs, when coisty came on as a sub and scored that over head kick, after he had suffered his broken leg against portugal! It was roy of the rovers stuff and typical ally mccoist 👌.

25 Nov 2020 19:31:46
Can't believe the rubbish surrounding Kent, saying that we can't match his wage demands and he's pushing for a move back to England. Utter rubbish. Scottish papers are only good for a fish supper or fried pizza. He's happy up here and his girlfriend finishes her courses soon, so I've been told. He's going nowhere yet. He'll score tomorrow. Bloody better. Got a tenner on for him and arfield. Also maradona dying. Sad, but drink and drugs over so many years. Could have instead, used the millions spent on coke, trying to help people instead. No sympathy. Wasted talent as usual. Let the haters hate me. It's the truth. Only him to blame.

25 Nov 2020 20:00:50
Great post Rossco3001, totally with you in everything you said there mate 👍.

25 Nov 2020 20:06:04
So no sympathy what so ever when gazza passes away either then? Cause he's been exactly the same for last 15 years. Also on kent played well v aberdeen hopefully that's him now up and running again as 5/ 6 games prev to aberdeen was like an empty jersey. go for 2-1 rangers thurs.

25 Nov 2020 21:09:51
How cruel not to have sympathy. Did you have sympathy for George Best? Anyone can become a victim of life. My wife lost a brother through drink at 60 too. There but for the grace of God.

25 Nov 2020 21:13:40
I do apologise, i agree with your post regarding kent Rossco3001 but not regarding your post on the sad death of maradona! I didn't read the bottom part of your post properly and don't agree with you there mate.
The guy had an addiction and got in too deep, which can happen to any of us, if an episode in our lives became too hard to get over!

25 Nov 2020 21:30:07
Gazzas a different boat. The drink and drug saga is endless. We've all lost people to both I'm sure. Maradona had too many millions to count so the coke buying wasn't a problem. He just wasted it. The drink is the problem. Best had liver transplants and everything, but still wasted himself. It's a massive pity. Gazzas doing the same. They are driven to destruction. Many in my family too have ended due to the drink and drugs. The difference is that they had multi millions to spend. So that's where the sympathy ends. Worth 25million and die. Sad. Give money to those who need it. Not the dealers. Wow. A massively depressing post. 55 is on the way.

25 Nov 2020 21:39:06
Worst post I have ever read in my life and completely clueless on Diego.

25 Nov 2020 22:38:39
Spot on Doiger. Being a 67 year young alcoholic myself, I am not asking or looking for sympathy or anything like that. A little bit of understanding and empathy goes a long way. The most important thing to me has been the understanding of my family, and the fact that my wife of 44 years has stood by me. No one starts out in life determined to be an alcoholic a drug addict, or whatever. Try a little bit of empathy or humility. You never know, you might actually enjoy it.

25 Nov 2020 18:56:07
How many people think that without Maradona Argentina would have have won the World Cup in 1986 or reached the Final in 1990?My opinion . they would have got nowhere near.
The input and brilliance of Pele's contribution to Brazil's win in 1970 is indisputable but there is still a case to say that without Pele that Brazil side may well have still have won that World Cup. not neglecting either his significant contributions to Brazil's wins in 58 and 62 but again was surrounded by stellar players.
It's all about opinions, of course,
. Maradona's reputation was sullied by his drugs ban. and some of his off field activities whilst with Napoli. but for me I'm with SGL in seeing him as the greatest ever.!

25 Nov 2020 19:11:55
He is without a shadow of doubt in my opinion the greatest ever player.

The guys now messi Ronaldo etc. couldn’t lace his boots.

25 Nov 2020 19:29:23
He was good but he was no Jack Wilshire.

25 Nov 2020 19:53:46
He is the greatest player of all time who was blessed by a talent us mere mortals can only dream of. The man was peerless!

25 Nov 2020 22:51:15
Got to be Mesdi for me guys.

25 Nov 2020 23:34:49
IMO Ronaldo and Messi both better than Maradona those boys are dedicated athletes! The best for me is Zidane always done it on the biggest of stages he had everything.

25 Nov 2020 18:45:58
Maradona best player I ever saw, god bless rip.

25 Nov 2020 17:09:55
What next? Maradona has died at the age of 60. Forgetting my bias against England, his second goal against them in 1986 was the best goal I have ever seen. Up there with Pele, Best, et al. So sad. RIP great man.

25 Nov 2020 17:35:42
For all his off the field troubles i will just say what i think of him as a footballer. Quite easy for me because IMO, there was NO better footballer than diego maradona👌An absolute genius who carried his country at times and lifted the world cup for Argentina, which is something messi couldn't achieve in both accounts! God rest his soul 🙏 and diego maradona for me was the greatest footballer this planet has ever seen! My sincere condolences to all his family and friends 😞🙏.

25 Nov 2020 17:40:14
Best footballer world has ever seen. Recall him at Hampden in 1979 destroy Scotland.

25 Nov 2020 18:03:55
What's with the hi 5 emojis SGL? 🤦🏻‍♂️.

25 Nov 2020 18:21:48
Think about it SWM answer on a postcard please. Some folk just can't help themselves trying to cause and invite anamosity 😞.

25 Nov 2020 19:04:10
Probably controversial but second best player the world has ever seen.
Zidane the best ever for me but still a massive loss to the football community. Rest easy Diego!

Most iconic Maradona moment for me was his eyeballs when running towards the camera at USA 94!

25 Nov 2020 19:13:36
Rest easy DAM.

25 Nov 2020 22:58:02
Grown men and emojis give me strength. Rip Diego.

25 Nov 2020 17:09:39
RIP Diego Maradona. the greatest player the beautiful game has ever seen.

25 Nov 2020 17:28:34
Could’nt lace Joe Aribo’s boots 🤣🤣

Rest in peace Maradona 🇦🇷.

25 Nov 2020 16:54:03
Maradona dead troops. Very sad, rip.

25 Nov 2020
New image uploaded to the
Rangers Player Sightings page entitled, Save the ten - time to go

25 Nov 2020 16:13:20
New banner will be stop the 55!
And for a section of support that had a banner saying you'll never walk alone Neil - then what a cringeworthy and embarrassing set of fans the Green Brigade are!

25 Nov 2020 12:29:06
Hi
Rangers and Celtic play in Europe again Thursday.

Rangers have a tough tie against Benfica and Celtic should have it easer against Sparta Prague, surly they can't lose to this team again.

If Celtic do lose again then they are out and will concentrate on the premier league, but if Rangers win then we are playing in both leagues.

They may see this as a good thing, as it means we have to play more games and could affect our premier league games.

Rangers will do whatever it takes to protect our chances of winning the league.

Yes we need the Europa league money but we need to win our own league even more.

Celtic board backing Lennon is a strange decision, because if a new manager came in, the players etc get a huge lift.

25 Nov 2020 12:47:02
1. We need the European money too much to be talking about getting put out.

2. A club our size should be (and is) able to compete on multiple fronts. Part of what attracts players is European success.

3. Might be a risk to keep Lennon, but also a big risk to chuck him. They've only dropped 5 more points than us and have only lost 1 game. There isn't a ready made replacement to come in who would guarantee them stability.

25 Nov 2020 13:06:27
Plus they don’t have the money to pay off one management team, bring in another and buy players in January. They need to sell before they can do that. They’re depending on Lennon beating Ross County, St Johnstone and Kilmarnock before giving Lennon the cup final - that’ll be Lawwell’s excuse for keeping Lennon.

25 Nov 2020 15:42:39
Who cares a fig about Celtic? Let them sort their own problems out. We have a big and strong squad which is more than good enough to cope with playing at home and in Europe after New Year. 2-0 to the Famous tomorrow night.

25 Nov 2020 16:01:34
Hopefully rangers will win this Europe group because we will avoid one of the champions league drop outs.

25 Nov 2020 19:14:57
Sparta Prague had a reserve team at parkheid
So I fully expect them to beat Celtic easy tomorrow night.

25 Nov 2020 11:16:09
I read Jack is an injury doubt for tomorrow, is that true?
The wee man is playing out his skin just now, but how good is it that we have strength in depth to deal with situations like this?

25 Nov 2020 12:18:46
Yup it's true mate . Rangers news .

25 Nov 2020 12:50:38
Gérrard says he will find out later today if Jack will be fit enough for tomorrow night's match and zungu is the only other player to miss selection through injury.

25 Nov 2020 13:33:14
Any doubt leave him out we've options and plenty of quality to fill in.

25 Nov 2020 15:00:53
I agree wi you Jzer, why risk making the injury worse, let the guy rest up till fully fit I say.

25 Nov 2020 16:51:32
The international games catching up with him and his fitness shouldn’t be risked. Rest him and bring him back in for next league game.

25 Nov 2020 09:57:42
I heard a dwarf used too work in my butchers but he quit he said the steaks were too high.

25 Nov 2020 10:38:06
That deserves the chop Laudrup.

25 Nov 2020 10:47:41
Must have had a beef with his boss.

25 Nov 2020 11:05:05
Ha Ha, brilliant Laudrup .

25 Nov 2020 11:44:13
Good one mate. the new ones are the best.

25 Nov 2020 12:07:51
I was expecting someone to say your patter is mince, but no me mate.

25 Nov 2020 12:24:19
Ha, Ha, c'mon guys, stop Porking Fun at Laudo.

25 Nov 2020 14:11:51
You have to give him credit where credits stew Irvger.

25 Nov 2020 14:51:36
Scared to weigh in here incase I'm the weak link🙄👍.

25 Nov 2020 16:14:43
It's all pie in the sky noo.

25 Nov 2020 16:17:38
You lads are nothing but a couple of bangers.

25 Nov 2020 20:24:59
At least your no calling us puddings Soufend.

25 Nov 2020 09:22:18
A wee something different here guys. Got talking late last night about remembering where my mates and we were when rangers actually signed mo johnston. That signing was stunning and stopped work places producing, that day! Hand on heart i thought mojo was a terrific striker and adding him at that time to the 2 terrific strikers we had in ally mccoist and mark hateley was showing the power and strength/ dominance under sooooouness, we had as a club 👌A lot of our supporters were raging when souness eventually dropped coisty and played the hateley/ johnston partnership. A lot of our supporters at the time took it out on hateley taking mccoist's position when it was actually mo johnston who was preferred to ally 🤔Hateley was always going to play as he offered the perfect foil for either/ or mccoist or johnston! It got us then debating who was the best/ most natural goalscorer/ finisher, we'd ever seen at ibrox?
I had absolutely no doubt that IMHO it was marco "goalo" negri 👌To be fair most agreed, but a couple of others still said it was super ally. let's see what you guys think, who would be your pick/ choice and why? 🤔.

25 Nov 2020 09:51:31
Best and most natural goalscorer in my lifetime is without any shadow of a doubt Ally McCoist.

25 Nov 2020 10:00:49
For me it was definitely Ally mate. Negri did not produce it for anywhere near long enough to be considered. I actually have an issue with Negri and how he still hangs onto the few months he gave our club an turns out at all the legends games as if he belongs there. He did have a really good few months when joining but that was what it was, a few months then after that he could not get himself or could not be bothered getting himself fit enough to play again.

25 Nov 2020 10:17:13
McCoist 100%.

25 Nov 2020 10:22:50
No over the period of time of course mccoist was the greatest ever rangers goalscorer, that's not what i'm meaning guys! I'm meaning from what i saw of negri he to me looked an even more natural goalscorer/ finisher than anyone i'd seen at ibrox 🤔.

25 Nov 2020 10:40:47
Yip coisty, the scurge of celtic.

25 Nov 2020 10:45:42
Coop if you knew anything about football you would know it was coist😉🤣.

25 Nov 2020 10:49:13
I was actually working in the piggery the day wee mo signed, got to say it was the best day at work ever, although the place was empty you could still sense something had happened.

25 Nov 2020 10:58:24
Super Ally - continually did it every season.

25 Nov 2020 11:58:15
Definitely McCoist.

25 Nov 2020 12:10:16
Super ally but Kris Boyd needs a mention as well as Negri all great finishers hard to pick the best one.

25 Nov 2020 12:13:06
And defoe simply for that finish against livi sublime 🇬🇧.

25 Nov 2020 12:19:31
Cambiger negri does my head in haha. Trying to keep himself relevant amd associated with the club as a 'legend' playin in every benefit match going. Tad annoying.

25 Nov 2020 12:27:57
Got to be McCoist, also think Defoe is up there.

25 Nov 2020 12:30:54
Not even worth a debate that! Negri achieved nothing at our club and nor perceives himself as a Rangers legend. Ally McCoist had it all and a real LEGEND🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.

25 Nov 2020 12:54:34
Boyds scoring record in Scotland is nothing short of Phenomenal but its Super ally for me! We'll never know about Negri he was some goal scorer tho.

25 Nov 2020 13:09:00
I honestly think most of your fellow bears are actually missing the point what i'm meaning 🤔I agree mccoist without a shadow of a doubt is rangers legendary, greatest goalscorer. I believe negri was a better more natural finisher that's all guys and IF he was at rangers the length of time the 'super' one was there, i truly think injury permitting he would have blitzed coisty's record 🤔 Hypothetical though it is guys!

25 Nov 2020 13:37:20
Billy dodds and Rod Wallace 😁.

25 Nov 2020 13:55:19
What do you mean "injury permitting"?
The guy didn't want to play for us regardless of what p@#h he's spouted since he threw his toys out the pram. His injury wasn't the reason, his stinking attitude was!

25 Nov 2020 14:16:59
I agree BMGH and think the disruption he caused was one of the main reasons we never got to 10. Having said that the main point was about natural goal scorers and he was definitely that, just had one of the worst attitudes I've ever seen in a footballer, couldn't even be Ars@d celebrating when he scored.

25 Nov 2020 14:32:20
BMGH01 Correct mate he couldn’t get out of Ibrox quick enough And as far a legend he ain’t and never will be. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️🇬🇧👍.

25 Nov 2020 14:34:20
What do i mean injury permitting BMGH01 🤔 Common mate how can i spell it out any better, but i'll try for you. If negri played with the famous, the same number of years as super ally did, without any length of time out through a/ or many longterm injuries, then i believe he would have scored more than even the wonderful amount ally did in his 15 years or so with rangers 👌.

25 Nov 2020 14:59:11
Exactly cunny and cambiger! The guy was a waster who could have achieved so much more with us, but chose not to. His injury wasn't why he never went on to better things, that's just crap.

25 Nov 2020 15:12:32
SGL. That is your belief re Negri as he was a good goal scorer, But to say he would have beaten Ally’s goals is fantasy, 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️🇬🇧👍.

25 Nov 2020 15:19:26
Negri career with, gers rather short and detached hower successful and TBH rather forgotten. Mcoist, like my nomme de plume will live forever in gers folklore.

25 Nov 2020 15:23:46
Oh dear! Even for you coops, this one takes the biscuit. It's a moot point, there is absolutely no substance to your argument.

25 Nov 2020 15:27:43
Cambiger, the selling of paul gascoigne cost us 10iar, no doubt about it mate!

25 Nov 2020 15:28:22
I totally agree with you MBW 👌.

25 Nov 2020 16:04:21
It takes the biscuit, that IMO i think negri is a more natural finisher than ally mccoist, behave yourself mate, its an opinion pal🤔
I love ally mccoist and have been to watch him often enough to know how good a longevity goalscorer he was for our magnificent club. Yes our record goalscorer of all time and that's not what may opinion was regarding 🤔Many many a cracking night out coisty gave me and my gers buddies, with his goalscoring ability in trophy winning games and old firm games, over my many years of watching the famous. God i even have my brick on the ally mccoist panel at the copland road stand! You're totally missing my point, which i hope IS intentional by your good self 🤔 Otherwise i can't explain my opinion/ point any easier for you pal🤔.

25 Nov 2020 16:21:07
Coops, my recollection of Gaza’s final season are not good on the pitch with his behaviour off the park becoming more unacceptable.

25 Nov 2020 17:27:29
I don't want to get into an argument with you, but it's a total moot point mate. If Negri was committed to Rangers, and he wanted to play for us, then yes he would have scored many goals, but he never, so this is a pointless exercise. There was never any chance of him ever becoming a legend, he was a waster. You don't need me telling you that, Walter Smith said the same thing.
Negri couldn't lace Ally's boots mate, nowhere near!
Most natural finisher or not, he should not even be mentioned in the same breath as Ally.

25 Nov 2020 09:10:03
As much as am enjoying things just now I urge all fans not too do too much gloating I know it's hard but long season ahead of us anything could happen especially how unpredictable this C.V. carry on is. We just keep going one game at a time. Come may hopefully we all inside ibrox for the biggest party this club has ever seen. Fancy us 2-0 on Thursday.

25 Nov 2020 09:26:06
Agree Banxger, nothing won in November and at this time only a fool would celebrate anything other than a strong start to the season. Unlike last year I’m impressed by the understated words and humility coming the manager and players. Hopefully wrong but I think 2-2 draw tomorrow.

25 Nov 2020 09:42:17
I think we will need a lot of luck to win on Thursday night, we missed our chance of beating benfica imo, game changed so much with the sending off.

25 Nov 2020 09:59:49
They would've beaten us with 11. I see a 2-1 for us. I'd prefer a 3-0 but heyho. Hoping for a good game, then a big win in Sunday. Come may, we should all be with the team and Stevie g to receive the trophies at Ibrox. Keep positive.55.

25 Nov 2020 10:03:01
While I agree about the first Benfica game I am not sure tomorrow will be as difficult as it might have been. They are missing a fair few players and our home record is not too shabby. 2-0 Rangers.

25 Nov 2020 10:24:21
I fancy rangers 1-0/ 2-0 against benfica at ibrox the morra night 👍🙏.

25 Nov 2020 10:39:57
We are missing a couple of our players as well so it will be a touch and go scenario .

A win or even a draw regardless of the score would be fine by me guys.

25 Nov 2020 16:59:53
They are a technically gifted side and before the group stages commenced I’d have been happy with 2 points against them and going through with wins against the others. I hope we go at them like we did after they went a man down but I don’t think we will have as much possession as that. My heart say 2-1 win but my head says a score draw.

25 Nov 2020 07:34:56
As the crisis in the East end worsens I notice a lot of deflection tactics and lies being spouted - one is that we've flung the kitchen sink at it to win the league (which is the normal action took if you want trophies, whilst the mhanks have lived below there means) so fellow bears going by reported fees this summer can anyone put up the figures of what we spent in the summer vs what the unwashed spent I'd be intrigued to know as I'm not a stat or figure man.

Balogun - free?
Itten - 3-5 Mill?
Roofe 5 Mill?
Bassey - development fee?
Mclaughlin - free?
Hagi - 4 Mill?
Zungu loan fee?

Ajeti - 5 mil?
Derry Maldini - 2 Mill loan fee?
Barkingarse - 5mill?
Laxalt - loan fee?
Elyanoussi loan fee?
Connel - 350k
Turnbull - 3mill?

25 Nov 2020 09:00:26
Weve spent about the same as them so of they want to go down that road i'd be saying we will recoup more in european competition cause we've won games and look likely to qualify.

25 Nov 2020 09:24:07
Apparently Lurgan Flopp has spent £32 million since 2019.

25 Nov 2020 09:40:31
I don’t think Rangers paid anywhere near £8.5m for Roofe and Itten. I also thought Hagi was £3m and not £4m. Can I just ask where you got those fees from?

25 Nov 2020 10:13:15
Biff I don't know the figures there just basic figures that were branded around the media, forums etc that's why I asked u was interested to find out as all I hear is we've flung everything at winning the league this year and the Tim's have lived well below their means.

25 Nov 2020 10:56:34
Hagi was £3m and spread over 3 years, Roofe probably between £3m -£3.5m and Itten around £1.5 - £1.8m roughly. Both Roofe and Itten fees were classed as undisclosed however at the time the papers were claiming anywhere from £7.5m - £9m combined for both. However in an interview Gerrard stated that the amounts being suggested for their signings were way higher than the actual amounts, in fact some ‘quotes’ were almost double what the actual amounts were.

25 Nov 2020 11:32:40
Brilliant lurgen flopp.

25 Nov 2020 12:44:17
Biff I think u r closer to fees. It was 3m for hagi, also 1.5 for it ten.
The one I think there is more debate is Roofe my thoughts based on what I have read and anderlecht web site is around 4 million.
All good business coupled with signing McLaughlin, balogun and uglehumba.
Let’s not forget the loan and end of contract players who all left.

25 Nov 2020 15:04:00
Even £4 million for Roofe is a good bit of business.
If he stays injury free then we will have a class player on our hands.
His movements and touch are excellent and I believe it's now 6 goals in 11 appearances for Rangers ( 5 in 8 domestically ) and should dispell any doubts about his goalscoring ability.

25 Nov 2020 16:27:27
He is class mph however some on here are not seeing it i'm afraid.

25 Nov 2020 17:07:53
Agree MrP, if Roofe avoids injury he will be a snip at the price paid. Class player.

{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 25th November 2020

25 Nov 2020 07:23:29

25 Nov 2020 08:00:59
I heard he's a pie!

25 Nov 2020 08:48:07
Don’t know how much Tom eats but 1lb pie less than a tenner SGL.

25 Nov 2020 09:09:54
Nothing compares to the ashet steak pie served by my dear mother every Hogmanay. Thanks for memories lads.

Hi guys. Just catching up with the chat below. John25, thanks for the recommendation of the video about our finances. I must admit I'm slightly in the minority here. As someone who understands intricate financial details of companies I do agree with the business model we currently operate under. I see where we are trying to go but I didn't really enjoy the video. I felt as though the expert in the video was pandering to the crowd. Wearing the Orange top and also jokingly exclaiming to enjoy the presence of hookers and drugs just took away his credibility. He is trying to sell books and will pander to whatever crowd will listen.

For what it is worth I do agree with most of what he was saying about our finances but I just think his credibility is shot by the way he presented himself. I have the feeling that any company that wanted him to speak as a so called expert would hear what they wanted to hear.

Thanks again for the recommendation John25. Well worth a watch but just not for me pal👍.

25 Nov 2020 08:56:14
MOCBear, good to hear you agree and consider our business model to be sound.
